So Sweet

'So Sweet' and 'Sweet' are going to be some of my favorite summer fragrances! I love them both! Plus they're not that expensive; I got 'So Sweet' for around $30 on Amazon. 'So Sweet' is also a very light clean fruity shampoo scent that is almost similar to 'Sweet' if you're not paying attention, but even more juicy and fresh. Where 'Sweet' smells like artificially flavored cherries and red candy apples, 'So Sweet' has an underlying greenness to it-- raspberry or raspberry leaf keeps it fruity but the leaf gives it that very faint wetness that makes it feel more fresh and natural. The only way I can describe it is that it smells like grape skins that have just been peeled off a juicy red grape. So instead of the fresh yet sweet red apple note you get grapes and a floral background. Both 'Sweet' and 'So Sweet' are very mild scents that never seem to smell cloyingly sweet and you can spray it all over yourself and your clothes and it will always smell light. Some people might not like that about them but that's why I like them for summer, they are light feeling and likely office safe. You might also just get anosmic to it. I noticed when my own temperature rises I start catching whiffs of the scent. It lasts more than 4 hours too. I'm a fan of gourmand and sweet vanilla and/or amber scents but during the summer they can be too jammy or too sweet and spicy and just make me "feel" sticky so this scent feels fresh and thank goodness it lacks strong citrus, weird hairspray aquatic notes, or super powdery floral notes that many summer fragrances have. Of the Lolita Lempicka fragrances I have this is the least powdery of them and almost doesn't even smell powdery so I am surprised the powder is voted high on the notes. This leans feminine and is great for summer but since it's so mild and inoffensive I think it can be used any time if you're just wanting to feel fresh. Of course there's so many fragrances out there that make a statement so it won't be your first choice if you want to impress a special someone or impress a crowd, but for the price you can have this laying in a gym bag or purse and just spritz it on your hair or clothes when you want to freshen up. This would also make a good choice for girls and teens as a first perfume since it's 'So Sweet' and isn't trying to be "sexy" with spicy ambers, strange woody or animalic musk notes.

RED-CURRANT & ROSE-IRIS. Opens with a burst of raspberry-leaf, sour-cherry & mandarin that together evoke red-currant. That deepens into the rosy heart supported by iris & angelica, all resting on a fruity-floral support base of musky cashmeran & amberwood. The overall result is an updated red-currant scent that's more wearable than red-currant scents of the past (such as Amor Amor Cacharel), being softened out by the iris-rose combo which conveniently sidesteps the bug-spray vibe that sometimes happens with this type of scent. Contrast to Italiano Vivo Armaf: These are different, but there are similarities with red-fruit, rose & iris. So Sweet leans to red-currant-rose-iris, while Italiano Vivo is firmly a raspberry-rose-iris. Both have excellent performance, but Italiano Vivo outperforms. Contrast to Amor Amor Cacharel: These are different, but this is a classic red-currant scent, although has a bolder approach and more piercing projection, while So Sweet is softened by the rose-iris back-up. Both have excellent performance. Contrast to Circus Fantasy Britney Spears: These are different, but this is another red-currant scent. Circus Fantasy is more similar to Amor Amor Cacharel, both not having the rose-iris present in So Sweet. Both have excellent performance. Overall: beautiful & wearable red-currant & rose-iris scent, with above average performance. For what it is, it's a love for me. Enjoy!

So I have the new vegan formulation version of this fragrance with the new NOT apple shaped bottle. I agree with everyone else this wears off very quickly and has little to no projection. However, this is a BEAUTIFUL and addictive scent. This is a wonderful sweet fruity floral with some powderiness and an air of mystery. On my skin it has a bright opening, it starts off with a juicy raspberry and a hint of the zesty mandarin, then it quickly transitions to an iris/rose combo with the fruity opening still lingering in the background. The cherry is slightly tart but syrupy and sweet and lasts throughout the whole fragrance. There is some depth to this perfume coming from the amberwood and cashmeran, which deepens this fragrance and adds an air of mystery that is signature of Lolita Lempicka. The musk adds a powderiness that really softens everything. The more you spray the longer it lasts, I spray on my wrist and 3-4 sprays is a MINIMUM. For those looking for a cherry dominant fragrance, the cherry is present but if you are not a fan of florals, the floral heart is prominent. However, the sweetness of the cherry combined with the florals may just win you over. ;) Also for those who want a comparison, So sweet REALLY reminds me of Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs. So if you really enjoy Eau So Fresh this is very similar. Simply TONE DOWN the soapy green notes in Eau So Fresh and you get So Sweet.

I purchased a tester in the original apple bottle from a 2016 batch, so my experience may vary from others based on that. This scent is such a modern gourmand -- very fruit forward, uncomplicated, playful. On a test strip, it comes out somewhat citrus and floral heavy; on the body it is a lightly syrupy berry chapstick smell, though not TOO synthetic. Just barely enough to be reminiscent of lip gloss, cut cherries and flowers. The heart notes are great. The iris gives it the delicate ethereal powderiness that takes on a cosmetic quality; the angelica keeps it citrusy and fresh while the rose keeps it "perfumey". Finally, the base notes envelop it all in a luxurious, warm cashmere sweater, reigning in the bouncy girlishness with a slightly seductive amber woodiness, barely detectable. From first spray it remains a skin scent, though delicious all throughout. You would really need to spray it several times to get any sillage, but the full size bottles can be found online for a steal so I'm not afraid to give myself a generous spritz. The bottle is gorgeous,as with all Lolitas; the juice is playful and safe. Definitely help yourself to a bottle before they disappear forever!

The perfume opens with juicy cherry, mandarin and raspberry leaf. The heart of iris, rose and angelica settles at an intense base of whipped musk, amber wood and creamy cashmere. I do get an initial burst of strong raspberry, but this quickly fades to a long lasting base very similar to BS Private Show on me. Clean, fresh and sweet, it could be a possible signature scent for me. Longevity and sillage on me are better than BS Private Show. I DEFINITELY will purchase a FB in the future. I do find it very interesting that people can have such extremely different experiences with the same fragrance...I know that most do not have a positive experience with So Sweet and I have to say that I was very surprised the way that So Sweet reacted with my chemistry...what a wonderful surprise for me! I have a difficult time finding fragrances that don't turn on me eventually somehow...the few that don't are usually discontinued...so I grab what I can, while I can, and enjoy. Finding a perfume with cherries that doesn't smell like cough syrup on my skin felt like a miracle- I had to open the review up with that because I have been looking for so long. My immediate impressions were that it really reminded me of a 1950's diner with bright red leather seats and a vague cola scent. It is pretty versatile and I think you can wear it at any time for any occasion, a good everyday perfume. I will say that with this fragrance, less is more. Typically with more fruity/floral notes I find I have to spray a lot and reapply consistently, but with this one only a few spritzes will do the trick and last a really long time. This scent also pairs well with other fruity, floral scents- I love pairing it with Escada's Turquoise Summer for a summery fruity combo or flowerbomb nectar for a more formal combination.

Another swap gem and man I love this! I had sworn off this brand after a few years ago I blind bought a gift set of the regular LL and at the time(I would like to try it now) I thought it was the most, absolutely horrid, putrid most disgusting smell EVER so I refused to ever smell anything from this brand again. And when my swap buddy said she had this up for grabs and I was looking it over on here I saw many people did find this to smell like Nina Ricci Rouge which i liiiiiiiive for that perfume it’s not only a beautiful smell but. Super beautiful bottle(not the bottle appearance sways me either way when I’m buying) and I do see-rather-I do SMELL it, I smell the similarity, which is great!!! It does give me hope that maybe I wont have to swear off the brand forever hahaha

I definitely pick up the Raspberry and the Cherry. Together with the Mandarin Orange it makes the fragrance smell like juice. Lol. That’s not a bad thing either. It’s actually more of a comforting familiar type thing. I eventually start to notice the powderyness of the Iris but I still don’t notice any Rose note. The Musk, Cashmere and Amber Wood really round this perfume out nicely I think. In my opinion this version is better than the “Sweet” version. This one is less sweet ironically but prettier and less immature. I gave my “Sweet” bottle to my 17yo daughter to finish off. It was the “quick grab out the door” scent for a long time just to try and empty it. Lol. I’m glad I took the plunge and grabbed this one though. Totally worth it.

Blind bought this gorgeous perfume! Starts with a blast of sweet raspberry, then quickly dries down to a musky cherry scent. Sillage is moderate and then goes to a skin scent. After a couple of hours I get powdery floral notes but the sweet cherry and raspberry notes still linger. Bottle very cute aesthetically. A grownup sweet scent that can be worn anytime of the year for any occasion. Reminds me of Dior’s Hypnotic Poison EDP, another favourite perfume in my collection. Not easy to find though but it was worth the search!

This is probably the most childish scent that I can wear. Acidulous, not without any depth, but very regressive in a way that completely pleases and eases me. Oddly enough I wear it when I miss my late mother. To be again her little girl maybe ? Who knows? L’Eau en Blanc, which I used to enjoy a lot, was less fruity but still not so different from this one.

this was a blind buy, but i have to say i scored this one! it smells so sweet, in the opening it’s definitely raspberry, but as it wears down it smells like cherry and vanilla. it reminds me of those sweet child-like perfumes i owned as a little girl. such a childhood throwback! love it.

My boyfriend bought me this perfume after I heard great reviews. It's so sweet and to me the mandarin really shines on the first spray. but after a few minutes you can smell the base notes much more and some of the florals.

Gorgeous sour cherry and raspberry, fresh and happy, I get the sharp raspberry & cherry on initial spray but that eases off. As it dries it’s creamy and powdery rather than sharp. Such a pretty perfume.

absolutely love this. definitely worth it for the price and it perfoms great when paired with other perfumes, on its own, it is sort of weak but really pleasant, sweet and beautiful.

The Rose and Mandarin brighten this more than the original. Sometimes I swear I get a touch of Almond in the base.

So I didnt expect a scent like this from this bottle, but with Lolita Lempicka blind buys are the most surpising, adventurous and fun. The presence of Iris here is why when I first acquired this perfume some time ago I immediately brought La Vie Est Belle/Sensual Amber to my mind along with Sofia's Love, even though Love has no iris and their common note is mandarin orange. All of them have a powdery (Barbie-doll-like) sweetness. In So Sweet it is alot more subtle even though it is still a very powdery perfume. The rose is potent and dusty, melancholy. I always happen to wear this perfume when it rains and rain totally vibes with this scent. It is like a dewy musky rose combined with the woody spiciness of the amberwood and angelica. So Sweet has that edgy, "dirty" twist that reminds you it is Lolita Lempicka youre exploring... there is a spiciness here similar to Sofia's Love, almost like patchouli, even more intense than Love's spicy element, it penetrates my nose, but amber is always this note that can fool me. Amberwood here adds a resinous so aromatic woodiness just like in Love but the angelica here intensifies this earthy element which dominates the whole fragrance. The raspberry, which is a super sweet almost candy note to me, along with the mandarine, give me Sunset Fantasy/Beyond Romance candy-like sweetness but I do not get much of that beyond the opening.The sour cherry at the top pairs well with the iris intensifying the makeupy-powdery sensation along with the beauty of the Cashmeran, and this is where Lolita's signature touch is: soft notes paired with one-two more intense even contradicting ones. Spicy ambery background, soft sweet powder and deep musky cashmeran. Lolita perfumes always gotta have an unexpected unorthodox twist, they do not conform and this is what I love about them, their rebelliousness. Either makeupy, powdery, melancholy or candy-like and playful, with or without licorice, they always manage to take me on a journey away from reality. Their bottles always look magical, like they came from a smurf village or a Disney movie. So Sweet escapes the usual purple, lavender, orange or blue theme of Lolita's perfumes and offers us some cherry ambery spiciness as the new abode for the sought after iris. I just noticed that someone suggested Beyond Romance in the 'reminds me of' list; well that one lacks the spicy twist, it is all sugar and musky deep sweet softness, it is more conformed and predictable than the edgy So Sweet.

So I ignored the other members' "warnings" about this perfume and bought a large bottle. I like the original Sweet and I figured that raspberry note would be fine. I should have listened to you guys, lol. I regret my purchase. Not because it's a terrible perfume (it's quite pleasing) but because I bought such a large bottle of something that comes accross as mostly uninspired compaired to other LLs. It does lack depth and basically smells like iris and synthetic berry. I was hoping for a more authentic tart berry, but I should know better, as the original Sweet's cherry is artificial and candied. Luckily I really enjoy the iris and the drydown is full of it. It's plenty pleasant and inoffensive, I just wish I had purchased the 1oz version instead.

To me, this fragrance opens with a distinctly soapy character. I can definitely sense some fruit and sweetness, but the rose stands out, making the scent fresh, clean, and powdery. Normally, I would never have chosen such a perfume for myself. I find it lacking in depth and sweetness. However, I made a blind buy because Lolita Lempicka usually creates scents that suit my taste. I can certainly see myself wearing this fragrance on a summer day with an extra hint of vanilla. The scent is pleasant and floral in a delicate and sophisticated way. It works well for everyday use if you enjoy floral notes with a dewy twist. The fragrance lasts a good three hours, after which it becomes a softer, sweeter scent on the skin.

Blind bought at the drug store just for kicks, it was $20CAD for 50ml. Really pleasantly surprised. Definitely smells young and basic, which is what you would expect based on the price, bottle and name. But it's addictive to me from start to finish. Initially I get cherry, in a synthetic sour candy way, and a floral blend reminiscent of herbal essences shampoo. Though not what many would call a fresh scent, to me it smells fresh simply because many of my shower products have a similar vibe. My partner commented "mmm, it smells like you just washed your hair." The musk at the tail end of this fragrance is pleasing. The name 'So Sweet' is a bit misleading, I don't get overly sweet/gourmand vibes at all.

i LOVE this scent once it settles down on my skin. it lasts so long on me. can be very strong at first. but like i said, when it settles down it’s so yummy. it’s very feminine, young, and fresh. it’s fruity and floral. i’ve smelled “sweet” and it’s not very similar at all! sweet is mainly sour cherry and sugar as it says, and “so sweet” has loads of more floral and fruity scents to it. i do prefer sweet, but this one is very good too. if you’re deciding which one to get, think of what you prefer in a smell. do you like more floral and fruity smells? this one is for you. do you like a vintage, coca-cola, very cherry kind of smell? “sweet” would be the better option.

It starts out a little sweet, probably the raspberry, and then there is some inoffensive musk mingling with it. All in all it ends up smelling like a delicious rasperry cream. Yuuumm. This type of sweet, inoffensive scent falls for me into the same category as Valentinos Valentina. Inoffensive. Pleasant. Versitile. A winner, in my book, if you are looking for a pleasent every day type of fun scent. Sillage is soft and longevity maybe 4 hours; but hey thats ok for everyday.

If you wanted to love the original ‘Sweet’ but found it too cloying and or stale, you should ADORE ‘So Sweet.’ On paper this seemed repetitive next to the original, but you have to receive and experience this to truly understand. Fruity and effervescent without being fully juvenile or like shampoo. It actually seems to last too, especially on clothes. The original was a rich cherry tootsie pop, whereas this is that same lollipop just without the chewy chocolate center 😋

There's something about this perfume that confuses me. I found that the "sour cherry" scent was more sour than cherry. And more chocolate than cherry. Sour Chocolate? Luckily, after about 20 minutes the sour smells dies down and just becomes more musky. I can't say I was obsessed but I didn't hate this perfume. Just disappointed with the lack of cherry smell... Still a pretty playful scent. I don't plan on buying again, but I plan on finishing the bottle.

Phenomenally cute fragrance. Super feminine verging on girly. Sweet but subdued. Fresh but muted. A sweet apple. Natural smelling and inviting from the start in an absolutely cute bottle. Cuteness is made of a perfect balance of rapsberry and cherry on iris and rose with musky - cashmeran finish. Signorina Misteriosa by Ferragamo is similar. I can feel it on my clothes and skin next morning.

I just found this at Rexall in Canada and recently gotten into LL perfumes. I love having it in my collection. Upon first spray, it is very tart and it stays this way for quite awhile. It smells a bit like the perfumes from the 80s and 90s by Coty or Dana. I have Sweet as well and it is much more gourmand. Fun to collect but nothing special on it's own.

This is like a cherry body spray to me rather than a perfume. I really enjoy it. Although it's simplistic, I don't find it to be an annoying or synthetic type of fruity smell. The cashmere and musk are not noticeable to me and there isn't much grounding this scent. It's essentially very light and airy.

"So Sweet", smells primarily like Rose Loukoum (Turkish Delight) and has raspberry, citrus, ivy, and iris accords. This blend is distinct from "Sweet", even if they both contain similar notes. It seems more youthful and fresh to me. Unique sisters. I own multiple bottles of both.

The Cherry in this fragrance emerges the best on cool, mild rainy days of high humidity and temperatures between 15°C and 20°C (59 - 68°F) I highly suggest trying it out in those conditions.

another dupe for LVEB?? because of the cherry and Iris and amber.....but whtathe hell is the Angelica about? it tends to destroy everything and is a little bit dated...

So Sweet is burlesque in a candy-by-the-pound store. Raspberry, rose and tawdry flirting. Like panties with ruffles--it's not meant to be taken seriously. I love it.

didn’t like the opening & mid. it was vaguely animalic? powdery, & melon? a lighter, powdery version of sweet’s cheery. drydown was a baked cinnamon candy apple

So Sweet opens with a strong synthetic raspberry shower gel scent. The kind of raspberry note that can be found in children's bath products. It's very sweet, with a fresh note. At first, it's a very simple scent, and there doesn't seem to be anything else hidden behind this huge artificial raspberry. But this is actually not a linear scent, and it takes an hour or two for the raspberry to partially fade and reveal a cashmeran bomb with strong iris and creamy vanilla. The juvenile berry scent suddenly grew up a bit ! It's still quite youthful, but a little bit more sophisticated than before, and less sweet. It's the kind of perfume that would definitely fit a teenage girl learning to appreciate more grownup notes. Performance is also pretty good, actually, longevity and sillage are not like a cheap body spray (even though it totally smells like one at first). But it's still a bit too simplistic and forgettable for Lolita Lempicka, especially after having produced wonderful fragrances such as Le Premier Parfum, L de Lolita Lempicka, Elle l'Aime A La Folie and Lolitaland. And I'm left craving for something more.

The scent is cute, a bit juvenile, sweet kind of shower gel. I couldn't get the cherry note that is listed, I pretty much got an apple (?) note that wasn't listed anywhere. It's a light scent, maybe good for gifting a young girl, since the bottle is really pretty. I had this as a 10 ml purse spray, but ended up giving it away since it didn't do anything for me, but the person who received it enjoyed it a lot. If you're looking for a lighter scent, this might be a good idea since it's also not expensive, but I wouldn't go as far as comparing it with any Tom Fords or La Petite Robe Noir versions. It might be closer to Escada fragrances, though.

This should’ve been named “So Sour” sour cherries and raspberries but i get raspberries more than the cherry. I smell the rose mixed with a powdery musk but it’s a settle rose. The sweetest in here is very mild :( also there is somethng pungent in this that i smell throughout the whole wear but i’m not sure what it is? Maybe it’s the angelica? This one is not bad at all but I don’t think i will reach for it so often Longevity is very weak too for about 2 or 3 hours I’ve never smelled the original Sweet but it seems like its gonna be the right one for me since apparently its much more sweet than this So Sweet from what i’ve seen from reviews

Opening notes are sour cherry and very sweet but tart cherry-raspberry. It develops to a more sweet-soft and delicate, almost a little powdery, cherry-rose-amber. It’s lovely, not so complex, but interesting. It doesn’t smell cheap. Not my typical go to I’d say, I’m more interested in fruity-fresh more complex scents, but could definitely picture myself wearing this one once in a while.

I was so, so looking forward to this as Sweet is one of my favourite perfumes! This is just ok. I feel as if they tried to make it as strong as possible and it just smells of.. nothing? I smell none of the notes except for iris, and the rest just smells like bubble mixture. It's very headache inducing too. iIt smells nice from far away, but when you get up close it's not great.

Heard Lempicka makes some special scents. But to be frank, it’s either a lot of ppl uses it or it’s pretty generic. Nice take on cherry, super fresh, nearly like I can smell mint, but masculine and strong. It’s like I smelled it hundreds times before. Or maybe there’s plenty of dupes. I think it’s just ok. Too strong and masculine for me.

Super fruity sweet blast upon initial spray but then it fades to a powdery skin scent. I miss the old bottle, the new one is missing its charm and also feels reformulated scent wise. Fun to collect and layer but alone it does not last long, I cant smell it after 2-3 hrs even when I overspray.

ok i take it back this perfume has definitely grown on me. the dry down smells like strawberry 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️

I prefer the original Sweet. This one is more floral, less fruity

Blind bought this because I love berry fragrances. Very disappointed. I only smell powder from beginning to end. Now I have a FB to get rid of. I really need to stop doing blind buys. update: 5/10/2019 - It has been almost 1 year and I have tried this fragrance three times. I still don't care for it. I will update after I try layering it with some other fragrances. 5/15/19 - I have now layered this with Coco Mademoiselle and I have layered it with Adidas Born Original for her. As a layered perfume it smells good. I like enough layered to continue using it but I would not purchase this again

This was an ok, kind of meh scent for me. It started off promising, but faded into sweet, musky nothingness. A muddled mess of no real distinguishable notes. Such a shame too; the raspberry and cherry were gorgeous upon initial spray.

Oh yikes, I don't like this at all - the opening is weird, a bit like pencil filings with a sour note. It develops into something rotten, unfamiliar and unpleasant. Oddly, this isn't sweet at all? Not a fan.

Bought it by mistake - I mixed it up with the original Sweet, which I like. This smells like super cheap berry body mist, on top of being weak and disappearing from the skin in less than two hours.

This is popping up on ebay now in the US, and I'm Lolita Lempicka obsessed, so I had to have it. (LL EDP is my #1 scent in a collection of like 200, haha!) Love the box and hot pink (not clear) bottle. Adorable. I have it right next to Sweet on my dresser. But.... It's exactly as the description suggests. The opening is more tart/juicy/zesty than Sweet, but otherwise it's a very generic take on Sweet. Sweet is much better-- deeper and more delicious. Don't get me wrong, I like So Sweet, but I was disappointed. This lacks the cocoa and candy of Sweet, and replaces it with tangy cherry instead and then just a musky trail. No depth. Not that Sweet had much depth..... haha.... (I thought Sweet smelled like cherry lipstick, there is no "lipstick" in So Sweet) Overall, if you collect LL, get this cheap in a few months. It's fun to wear and yummy, but nothing to spend big bucks on. I also think that So Sweet is weaker than Sweet. I agree- it does smell like a candy cherry Tootsie pop lollipop! Except the chocolate Tootsie aroma is missing from So Sweet-- but can be found in Sweet.

I got a 30 ml bottle @ notino, very cheap. I am a fan of Lolita Lempicka perfumes and I have quite a few happy blind buys in my collection. This perfume smells like cherries, raspberries and a bit of violet, powdery rose. I thought it would be sweeter ( gourmand ) and intense. It's so mild, almost like a fragrant water. Staying power is very poor and the sillage is none. I gave it to my 13 years old daughter. It definitely suits her better than me :) She only wears Victoria's Secrets PINK body sprays and Ariana Grande's Sweet as Candy that I find more intense than this, for sure :)

Agree with other reviewers that this has no longevity and little sillage. It’s pretty much cherry body spray. I like the scent but it doesn’t last no matter what I do. It’s youthful and smells sweet and fruity but not like cough syrup. This is my least favorite of the Lolita Lempika perfumes and I’m disappointed because I like the scent but just can’t see the point. Great looking bottle though.
