Cuir Kora

I'm in love with this, this isn't just a leather perfume, no, no way. It's a perfume unlike anything I've smelled so far, and it can't just be characterized as a leather perfume, I'll call it "bipolar". Let me explain why, when we apply it and when we smell it for the first time it's a very strong leather (make us feel confidant) and with a touch of wood and spices, after two hours , the perfume opens and we start to feel a fruity smell but I can easily identify the light touches of leather, wood and spices. It really is amazing. The concept of the house L'orchestre Parfum is very different from what it's out there, and the packaging gives you the image of the unique concept. Everything make you fall in love with the concept and the perfumes from 0 to 10 Longevity - 9 (it is quite durable but it gets softer. but at the end of the day you can still smell the perfume on your skin) +12h Sillage- 8 (it is strong and i love it) Gender- for me it's Unisex because i can see myself using it. But most of the people will think that this is for men. L'orchestre Parfum should walk in the mouth of the world, and be talked about more. For me this has been the most rewarding discovery of recent times.

On paper: Smooth elegant ripe fruity opening slowly lead way to a more leather woody dark brown scent as it evolves. Everything blends beautifully without the danger of offending anyone. On my skin: With one spray it goes straight to leather and wood and opens up this dark vast atmosphere. The heavy leather and wood brought me to a newly veneered wooden house in the middle of South East Asian dry summer heat, or a traditional wood furniture factory of sorts. Greeting me there is a majestic brown horse, eventually, I'm led out to this indescribable place where all the amazing contrast of this perfume lay out to play: the fluffy softness vs heavy smokiness, sweet vs bitter, dark vs light, masculine vs feminine,... yet never conflicting. What a beautiful journey from beginning to end. And it lasts quite long my skin which is quite rare for me. Personally would have loved it even more if the sweetness of the fruits are more detectable on my skin. Nonetheless, 9/10.

This was a blind bold purchase and I have to say, I’m so glad I did! I always gear towards warm scents as they fuse with my skin chemistry very nicely and what stood out to me in this formula was the mango and leather. At first, I did not like the scent on the first try. Gave it another day and sprayed again and fell in love. First blast you’re hit with fruit, definitely the mango! Not feminine or zesty and very sweet, it’s a very pleasant sweet, then followed by this juicy and spicy plum. This profile sticks around for an hour on me. Beautiful transition to this final soft leather scent. Not too over powering as leather notes tends to be and the dry down becomes this warm, soft powdered-leather and the hint of spice still singing in the background and plum keeping the creamy leather bright. It’s literally a song with each note harmonizing and complimenting each other. LOVE this fragrance and the concept of this brand. Looking to get my hands on Flamenco Neroli

From the opening, I feel very dry and spicy notes. Elemi resin and cardamom spice. An entry that takes the nose! A note of dry fruit, that of mango, dried by the sun, makes a shy appearance. The leather note is present from beginning to end. It is accompanied by different subjects that will bring it subtle nuances. A dry and "spicy" leather. A dry leather and "fruity". (I push the fruity note!) A leather anointed with labdanum and benzoin. Softer at the end. It is not a ferocious animal. I expected a more polychrome perfume. higher in color. I find it a little depressed. It remains a beautiful leather. Like my boyfriend’s leather jacket, which he wears on his skin and which, I will wear after him...to keep his warm and sensual smell.

Ok i am going to be the first reviewer of this scent. For me, This is the PERFECT gentleman scent! What a beautiful creation! Excellent way of combining Mango notes with leather and woods. So elegant, so soft and warm! This could be used in all seasons. It is an excellent signature scent for the gentleman! There is some sexiness when it dries down. Which makes it perfect. NOTES ARE: Mango, Leather and Woods. Very well blended. Performance: Very Good, 6-7 hours in cold weather. It might perform longer. Sillage: Very Good, Arms length. Excellent for Office, Occasions and Signature Scent. It suits adults more. Not a clubbing fragrance. Excellent creation from Anne-Sophie Behaghel and Amelie Bourgeois.

Noble, dry fragrance. The opening is quite dark: strong leathery aroma, well-settled. The fruit is there only to support the wilderness. The first impression is masculine. Therefore I like the rosewood, which is solid and prevents the leather from fully controlling the scent. Adds some tenderness to the chord. Saffron is delightful: also dark, but with the hint of iris. Cuir Kora is perfume which persuades you to like it. (Extremely.:-))

The leather is so well executed. It's neither too softened (a la BDK Creme de Cuir) nor too harsh (Byredo Mixed Emotions, I'm looking at you). Unapologetic, yet polished with cream, this leather takes the cake. The spices do their work without exceeding the bandwidth set by the leather and amber accords. The warm fruit is a nice surprise and blends well in the drydown.

Soft and dreamy leather with nice powdery and slightly spicy accords. After a while it becomes a touch darker with nice smokiness and lots of dry wood underneath. Beautiful creation! This is sublime. Leans masculine, but whatever floats your boat. Mature, refined, attractive leather that stands out.

A saffron mango spice with a leather background only. Rather soft and creamy

@Shui-Xian pretty much has the same experience as me with Cuir Kora... For me this is super dry on skin, and sweetness has been totally abandoned in it's creation. The key note throughout is the Rosewood. There is an air of antiquity to the laquered woodiness, layered with a light natural upholstry leather and a touch of soft iris in the mid phase. And like in the previous comment, I detect a little saffron around the mid phase too. What I don't really get is much in the way of fruit... shame really. A nice wear if a little restrained, lasting around 5-6 hours on me with a close scent bubble. Oh, as I'm finishing this there is something about this that reminds me of Nasomatto Duro.

A piece of art, an artful musical composition and a captivating perfume. It begins with a cloud of ripped mango and spices. Very unusual and unique one. The leather start to unveil itself with woods and deep hints of roses. The dry down keeps the leather and benzoin in mild, spicy and slightly sweet way. It feels like gourmand but not gourmand, may be more aromatic. Indeed it’s very creative blend. Enjoying it in autumn weather with good longevity and moderate silage in general. The perfume with the piece of composed music reflects this spiritual sensual freedom in an oases rich of green and fine leather mid of a rainy night in the Sahara autumn.

For leather lovers. For a man, I can smell leather with a touch of mango and spicy. It is a sexy scent, not for open space. More for night / fall and winter. 7/10 In this brand, I like... -> for me: rose trombone (fall & winter), Electro limonade (summer), Bouquet Encore (spring & fall) and Flamenco Néroli (summer) -> for my husband: Ambre cello (fall & winter), cuir kora (fall & winter) and Thé Darbouka (all seasons)

This one is for the hardcore leather lovers (leather jacket smell) . Opens up really heavy on the leather/saffron and spices, almost like an oud accord. Dry down is still heavy on the leather with subtle fruity sweetness. Its not bad but I wont buy a bottle, I dont know when to wear it.

I don't get much mango here. I do get a boatload of plum, though. Plum, Benzoin, Leather, in that order.

cuir kora begins with a sour, astringent blast of overripe, spicy fruit before settling into a really resinous leather & saffron. the leather has a hint of smoky oud to it; this is a scent profile that i do not like anyway, so i'm not surprised that i... really dislike this perfume. it came as part of the discovery set and i was not looking forward to it as saffron & leather are not my thing, and i've given the rest of my sample to my other half. to me, it's angry and cold, harsh and kind of dirty - not my vision or vibe atall. 1/10

The leather really dominates this fragrance. I was hoping the mango would be more prominent but unfortunately I can't make out the juicy ripe mango I was after. Sour opening, very spicy leathery masculine fragrance, lots of beautiful Asian spices here. But definitely a masculine leather. Does have a nice jammy fruit quality to it but it's more spiced plum preserve than mango. Oh I've been spoilt with my fresh mango tropicals. Drydown more fruity and I can just make out the exotic mango too. Yay!

There is definitely a very friendly and easy-to-like fruity sweetness in the opening. Plum is most prominent. A sort of sweetness familiar with Thé darbouka. I think the leather is quite toned down. This is not overly leather-centric, but in combination with the fruity and the amber, a very balanced and pleasant unisex perfume.
