Vétiver Overdrive

If you've smelled Goldfield & Banks Australia Bohemian Lime, that is pretty much the exact same scent, except this has no lime note to keep it refreshing. This is a "dad scent" for me (that's in No way a negative). It smells like a man who's now a real grown-up, with a wife, kids, a house, a good job and everything is under control. It's the smell of the good neighbor, colleague, friend, and husband. It's the scent of my dad's generation. That may be bad for some, but it's great to me. Obviously, vetiver is the star of the show. It's clean and earthy. It has a "the man of the house" vibe for me. And I'm all for it. Peraonal score: 8.5/10

The most gentle and delightful vetiver I've ever smelled. It is almost hazel-nutty, not too dusty - only conveniently dark. Bergamot has a mild, spicy aroma and adds light to the accord. I am pleased by geranium, which prevents the fragrance to be monothematic. Also ambroxan is ineresting, a bit sharp, but with musk the scent remain creamy and cozy. I am amazed by a slightly salty, ionic aroma - I am wondering why? Vétiver Overdrive fills my heart with beautiful melancholy, which heals by its tuned perfection. This is unique, amazing and deep perfume. Really, does L'Orchestre Parfum any scent, which is not perfect?

Fresh and pleasant dark vetiver woods with a distinctive creamy elemi vibe along with a fougere undertone. I like it a lot. Reminds me of Sunday Cologne but not as sharp nor synthetic. The dry down resembles L'homme Infini. Creamy vetiver woods done to perfection.

I really don't understand how this perfume can have such a low rating. For me, it's one of the best-crafted vetivers on the market. Dry, warm, with penetrating citrus notes. Very safe, yet very unusual. The ideal fragrance for gray days or the office.

This is a dead ringer for Terre d ́Hermes Parfum. A little less citrus of the top but the drydown is really similar.

I think people confuse the scent rating system here. You have to rate the scent seperately with love, like etc then rate perforamce sillage longevity value etc. This should be like a 4-4.2 rating. Its a vetiver scent which I categorically hate however here the execution was solid it doesn’t feel like south east asian vetiver oil on a sweaty man. This is clean a little sparkly very office friendly I think due to Europe and the Middle East having varying summer temperatures in the West vetiver is a summer staple however in our summer heat it can stink real fast. This is one of the few exceptions that can do well in high heat. Bergamot/Citrus opening with a noticeable vetiver but not overdosed and earthy like the notorious guerlain. Ambroxan and musk help modernize and make this an ethereal light scent. Scent 8.5/10 Sillage Office friendly Performance will need to respray midday.

Not really an overdrive you know. soft, somewhat safe. Too safe

This is super odd. I kind of appreciate how oddball it is, to be honest, but I would never wear it. It smells like soapy cigarette butts with a vague blanket of geranium and musk over top.

Opens with fresh vetiver and soapy musks, quite unique (even if I'm not sure it's really great), and at least, that gives some hopes for an interesting development. Unfortunately, shortly after, an already-seen-before crushing sweet elemi (unlisted, but ohhh! so obvious) takes the lead supported by a healthy load of ambroxan. The bergamot+vetiver+elemi combo will unavoidably remind of MH Vetiver Insolent and Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum. Although I just like the first, and I'm not a fan of the latter, I will say - without any hesitation - that this song has been way better played by both MH and Dior.... Looks like L'Orchestre needs a bit of tuning. Or is it again another 'make-cash-quick-and-sell-to-big-corp' kind of house? I have my idea on that.... I'm a huge fan of vetiver, and despite that, this one is a no-hesitation hard pass for me.

The first vetiver scent that actually impressed me. I’m not too familiar with what vetiver smells like, and most vetiver perfumes I’ve tried is either too light or disappeared behind the spotlight of another note in the composition. I’m also not a fan of citrus scents. Vétiver Overdrive, however, is the exception. Fresh, woody, gently earthy, warm and dry. Bergamot and vetiver has joined together for an evening waltz. This is a beautiful tuxedo scent; simple, straightforward yet classy and elegant. Powerful silage and even stronger lasting power. I’d wear this on date night with a woman.

Guitar, Harmonica, Mississippi Delta: and it is immediately Delta Blues, the musical genre which inspired this fragrance. A very soft vetiver, softened but still masculine, dark , and comforting at the same time. Listening, sitting in a nostalgic pub and thinking. Thinking about the past, with great melancholy and accompanied by a sound that only accentuates it, despite being endowed with great sensuality. Simple but deep, beautiful.

Despite the name, I wouldn't describe this as a vetiver-forward fragrance. Instead, the aromatic and musky elements take center stage, creating a traditional masculine cologne character with a subtle earthy undertone. The closest comparison that came to mind was a darker interpretation of Byredo Sunday Cologne and Terre d'Hermès. Quite interesting overall.
