Sublimity

I purchased the travel size and have been wearing it for a few days now. On skin the initial blast is a beautiful creamy coconut water mix with some ylang ylang and skin musks. I sprayed my pulse points (wrists, inner elbows) and my neck. During the dry down the coconut water warms up like a coconut solar scent. Very fresh and beachy aquatic with little musks. I’m super sensitive to musk. But the musk here isn’t strong enough to give me a headache. It’s light enough to carry the fragrance without taking over. I’ve been looking for a coconut scent just like this, not perfumey, or too sweet, or floral or powdery. This perfume smells elegant and soft but does project. If you’re looking for an aquatic coconut that’s not heavy on the previously mentioned, then I’d recommend trying this. This is a perfect coconut for those that live in a hot and humid climate as this is not cloying but instead very cooling and fresh. Lastly, I found this perfume to last me without reapplying for 6+ hours.

oh how I love this. I do wish it lasted longer on the skin, cause my being just swallows it whole. it smells the way it feels to take a drink of crisp cool water on a sweltering day. there isn't an aspect of this that is sweet or cloying or too aromatic or too..anything. reminds me of a crisp freshly washed perfect white tee hanging on a laundry line in a sunny picture-perfect countryside. absolute love. it makes total sense this came from the nose of Jerome Epinette, who is also behind the masterpieces that are Bal D'Afrique and Alto Astral. chefs kiss, sir. oh, and the bottle is to die for. pleasure to hold and to look at.

Lovely, light aquatic. I think what I love most is that this scent focuses on coconut water rather than the meat of the coconut. It's light-handed-- it hints at sun screen without ever coming too close to it. I would happily bathe in this, make it my signature scent, if ONLY it had more projection and lasting power. If they ever coming up with a Sublimity scented body oil or lotion, I am entirely, 100% in line to buy both. As it is, I will happily apply and reapply and reapply this perfume because it's just that good. This is a great scent for the office, for bed-time, for going to the gym, for errands. Really lovely.

This is exactly what I want to smell like in the summertime. It’s fresh, clean, feminine, with hints of coconut. I can see where people are picking up a sunscreen note. It’s not straight up sunscreen but rather the smell of skin after a long day of sunscreen use (hours ago) at the beach except you’ve showered it off with a delicious coconut soap and just the faintest hint lingers. It’s cozy and friendly and clean and definitely brings water to mind when you smell it. Both water at the beach and from a clean shower, for me at least. I love it. I could see it layering well with other perfumes.

It's just pretty. Clean effortless, projects soft cloud. Very pretty girl chic. Feels like looking out the window of an airplane on a beautiful day. I'd say it's signature scent worthy for daytime, office appropriate.. last quite a bit. Very good release. Think clean, light fluffy fruity. This reminds me of vanilla orchid by Gucci if it were really dialed down on the potency and added airiness.

i love this scent, very delicate, airy, skin like. soft, salty, beachy, a little coconut, a little solar, a little powder, and like a deep musky base- i wish it was more sunscreeny but it doesnt give me that. it sits veryyyy close to the skin with almost no sillage at all from what i gather. very worth the price and the packaging is delightful as well.

To me this is a very classy sexy coconut and ylang ylang scent, the candleholders subtle but so necessary! It reminds me of a beautiful beach day. Skin, love, freshness. It’s not a “clean” scent per say, but I see why people associate it with dove soap It has that refreshing crisp!

This smells like saltwater breeze by BBW to me, it's that fresh clean type of summer scent. Absolutely NO sunscreen or coconut to it. IF you like that scent, this is a safe blind buy. Like freshly washed hair that you get whiffs of when the breeze is floating through. Love it!

Beautiful solar coconut musky scent. Perfect on super hot days. A non-sunscreen-y coconut is surprisingly difficult to come by, and this does that perfectly.

Of the bunch, this was my absolute favorite! This is summery and beachy in the best way! Great year-round if you live in the heat like I do.

I really like the initial spray down - just sits intimately to your skin. I'm a big fan of musk, so this one makes me pretty happy.

I’ve been looking for a perfume like this recently so im happy I found one. I’ll start by saying I love the bottle, the shape is very nice and unique. The scent of this one is nothing crazy, but its salty and in a world of sweet perfumes I love me something salty. The scent itself is mostly soft sweet coconut and salt, the sandalwood showed up on my skin after a while of wearing it, very very light sandalwood though. This is a very light and soft perfume, very personal. Definetly summery, its very cozy though, doesn’t have a sunscreen smell. Doesn’t last at all on clothes, on the skin it lasts a bit longer but its very light.

Beautiful graceful and light and airy perfume for summer. Good summer fragrance that doesn’t give off sunscreen vibes. Smells like skin after you get out of the ocean to a ttttt. Salt warm skin with a bit of coconut the notes are spot on. Unfortunately it’s too light for me, if i spent money i want to be able for others and myself to smell the perfume, but if your into intimate skin scents this is for you!!!!

This is a softer, more elegant, and better balanced vanilla vibes from JHAG. Wearing the two side by side vanilla vibes feels more aquatic and sharp while sublimity smells more creamy and more intimate. Sublimity is a beautifully done soft skin scent, I will consider buying a bottle once my vanilla vibes is gone.

Sublimity is exactly what it says it is - a sheer solar musk. This is a great light, fresh perfume to make one smell good. Hints of sun on skin and a bit of freshness. Ideal for occasions when one wants to be thoughtful about their sillage and how it affects of others, or just wants to feel good.

didn’t think I’d like this because I don’t usually like coconut in a fragrance but this to me smells more like coconut water than coconut milk. I definitely like it enough to finish a sample but I probably won’t get a full size because I prefer a more versatile skin scent.

Salty coconut water - yum! Sometimes the simple things are hard to do well and I think they nailed it with this one. I was nervous about the ylang ylang, but I don't actually smell it at all. Just pure coconut by the beach!

Fresh coconut & cotton from Bath & Body Works with hints of Ylang Ylang. Shampoo adjacent and pleasantly inoffensive. For white women in their thirties. Depth of this could have been improved with the presence of Aloe Vera.

Summer skin with a little sweetness that develops so wonderfully. I wish it was stronger but for the price point it’s so good! Seems to be great for layering, you can take it more tropical or more green.

This is a nice fragrance, sure. But this goes too sunscreen on my skin. The price point is good, but I simply have other sunscreen coconut fragrances I prefer in my collection.

Smells a bit like Coconut Sun by The 7 Virtues, but more pleasant. Powdery and soft and smells like a baby. Good for warm weather

Lovely! Pretty gentle, not exactly a “clean” smell but satisfyingly simple. To me it smells like a salty floral coconut.

Very very subtle. Ozonic, salty, and summery, like taking a deep breath on a windy boat ride.

Could only detect coconut, even after time. It's a nice coconut, I suppose.

In my opinion, nothing special, and a little immature for my taste. My younger teenage self would have loved this, but I think this is a bit underwhelming now. If you're looking for a smoothe and creamy coconut scent, you'll get just that with this. It's very much exactly what it says. However, I don't know if it's just me and a newfound dislike for ylang ylang, but I found the floral note in this to be a little nauseating, either that or having it mixed with the coconut - regardless, this did wear a little sour on me. Wasn't as fresh and uplifting as I'd like.

Unfortunately, I get nothing refreshing or crisp with this, it's a lot of heady sweetness, though my skin does that with coconut- Coconut Sun from the Seven Virtues for example is also sweet and heady in a similar way. This one reminds me a bit of Vanilla Vibes in that interesting salt note, but I prefer the former. It's also a less sophisticated take on Maison Margiella Beach Walk (though also, admittedly, less sweaty). To me, this heavily smells like nag champa. Which is objectively not a bad scent but not me.

I instantly loved this when I smelled it at Sephora, it was intensely nostalgic. It reminded me of smelling white spring flowers as a child. I got the tester and put it on today, but it smells different now-- more artificial, almost like bath and body works. This scent has a lot of potential, I hope that as it dries down throughout the day it'll settle into a nice natural scent. (it still smells like cheap mist, with intense alcohol scent. not good).

At first spray it smells soooo good- everything I would want in a beachy, summery fragrance. After a few minutes though it smells almost DIRTY. I don’t know how else to explain it but it goes from smelling amazing to dirty in less than 5 minutes and stays that way. I’m not sure which note it is that causes that to happen!

Smells like coconut water! It reminded a bit of Ded Cool's Mineral Milk, but is definitely more fresh and coconuty. Unfortunately, this gives me a bit of a headache, if I spray too much. But I still have it because I like the bottle and the coconut water scent.

Heavy coconut and ylang ylang this smells a lot like Missy by Rosie Jane you definitely don’t need them both. Missy has a lot more to it. Just get a sample of this first because it’s not what everybody is hyping up to be.

THE perfect summer skin scent. Salty, sweet and solar... only downside is that I wish it was a little bit louder and wore a little bit longer. But perfect for those hot ass summer days!

Just coconut. It felt more complex in the store but now that Ive worn it a few times I just feel like a white girl who has accessories for her Stanley.

this is a lovely scent and it reminds me of a few perfumes ive owned. vanilla vibes, daisy love skies, and alien goddess. the biggest difference between this and those fragrances is sublimity is the most skin like. its very faint, ive been wearing it for a few days because I enjoy the scent but i pretty much blew through my travel size, the scent doesnt stick around. its a crowd pleaser for sure, everyone who I invited to smell my wrists loved the perfume. my one coworker stated that it smelled like an orgasm. im not sure i agree but this scent profile is hard to go wrong with. i like wearing this to work, if I wore this to the beach I don't think id be able to smell it on myself. on a hot day at work though, when you're wishing you were on the beach? hits perfect

I think this fragrance smells absolutely lovely! I saw the notes, and had to purchase a travel size - this was basically made for me. I don’t get the overwhelming sunscreen association that other reviewers mention. There’s a hint of sunscreen, sure, but it is definitely more salt/skin/musk dominant. This is the perfect fresh-out-of-the-shower scent. If you want to make a statement, this isn’t the fragrance for you. It sits very close to the skin, and is the kind of scent that could be mistaken for a faint shampoo/soap smell when others get close to you. The longevity is also pretty poor, but that can be expected for the price point.

Was given this as a sample-- Immediately reminded me of Missing Person, but more concentrated. The coconut more enhances the solar musky notes and I don't get much floral at all but it starts a little zinc-y salty for sure. Potent musky clean skin scent with some of that body/human sweetness, SoapTM (almost softsoap esque, teensiest bit aldehydic) n clean laundry in the sun. will use the rest of my sample with pleasure, but idk about buying a bottle.. might need to revisit in the summer lasting is p good and I can see it being even lovelier during sweaty summer months tbh

This smells good, but at the end of the day is not unique. You might already have this kind of suncreeny skin-scent in your collection, but if not, it's a great option! I really appreciate the salt and lack of vanilla in this rendition of this type of beach scent, it keeps it from being too synthetic-chemically like I find JHAG fragrances. It obviously smells like sunscreen and beach, but it's light and sort of fresh. I like it, but again, there are so many of these type of fragrances (JHAG, Dedcool, etc.)

i am someone who usually wears dark , musky , masculine scents , and Sublimity definitely is not in any of those categories. But my usual preferences don’t matter at all when it comes to Sublimity , its beauty and ease really transcend my usual tastes. it’s so easy and clean and light that i’ll wear it even just to work from home or run errands and i’ll be sniffing my wrist all day. This scent has really made me reconsider what i like in a perfume !

I really fell in love with this one when I sampled it on a test spray and returned a week later to purchase. BUT I sprayed it on my skin to do a wear test and it was sooooo sheer . I have a full heretic collection so I’m used to “sheer fragrances” but I couldn’t justify buying it unfortunately. It’s really a perfect coconut to me. My other favorite is dirty coconut by heretic. But this one just didn't last or project on my skin whatsoever.

I wore this scent to bed. It’s a calming, musky, coconut milk (but not sunscreen). Sunscreen equates to a heavier, tropical coconut in my mind. This is a soft, salted, slightly warming skin musk. 🥥🧴 I’m genuinely enjoying it. There is nothing jarring, unique or offensive about sublimity. It simply exists as a slightly coconut-y take on a skin scent. Truly what’s not to like? 🤍 I just wouldn’t claim to love it.

Oh I love this. It has a slight musky dry down that reminds me of d&g light blue. I get the sunscreen, however I wouldn’t say it’s overpowering like others with this complaint. I think “sunscreen” will always push its way into summer fragrances. The scent is warm and not very sharp, and surprisingly for a light fragrance I find that this lasts hours on my skin and clothes.

Much like the other reviewer below, I assumed I got a bad spray at first- nope, three sprays on a tester strip and nothing! I'm not usually anosmic to salt or skin notes, so idk what's happening here. There are some frags where they evaporate on my skin after 30 seconds (another 13.....) but even then I can smell... SOMETHING? This is just a big cloud of nothing. Bizarre.

Not sure if it was because of how light it is, but I absolutely cannot smell this at all.. i double sprayed my tester strip because I thought I somehow missed! Completely anosmic to it. Not necessarily super upset about it as I don’t reach for this scent profile much anyways, but it’s still nice to try! So def not blind buy safe but I’ll try it on my skin next time.
