Gothic III Perfume Oil

Truly a hidden gem! I ordered the oil blind from eBay, it says 10 ml, wheras the new one is 7 ml. I liked the edp spray, but went with the oil based on a great review on Luckyscent. Will update, when comes in. I cant believe nobody has reviewed this yet. These Rodkin Gothics are hidden gems! OK, I got it. It is a 10 ml roll- on oil. Maybe it's an old version, now they have 7 ml oil. Yes, it's better than the edp spray. It's more intense version of the spray. When it settles after 10 minutes, you get wafts of the most natural and exquisite Gardenia. It may have touches of other white florals, like magnolia perhaps, but I only get a very natural gardenia, and a wonderfull green note, like the flower stems. This green stem or grassy note is also intense and exquisitly natural. It appears later in the mid, along with a smooth creamy amber accord. The fragrance is slightly sweet. After a couple hours I picked up something "Gothic"; Something vaguely smells old and musty, but it's not at all unpleasant. It's like a piquant accord that makes the fragrance unique and unusual, it a positive way. I tried looking for a great natural gardenia that was not girly, not easy to find. Velvet Gardenia by Tom Ford was the best, but I sold it. This is better. Because of the intensity of this extrait, or the oil, it has some coarse edges that makes it leaning masculine compared to the spray. Truly gender neutral. Maybe it's the grassy and mossy notes. I don't get the musk. I get something like a beeswax note, like in Velvet Gardenia. Someone said it can be headache inducing. I see that, as I rolled a good portion on my hand. Go light. Usually we think more intense is better. For me, with Gothic III it is better than the spray. You will get many hours of good projection. My hunt for my best Gardenia has ended; this is it, excellent Loree Rodkin. All the Gothics are great except V was not so good for me. Rating: 9.5/10 Merry Christmas. John 3:16
