Cherry Ink

Cherry is one of my favorite notes and I really wanted to try this perfume. The result? A surprise for both good and bad (as a good Galician that I am)... It all depends from which point you look at it. As for the aroma, the surprise has been very good. The truth is, after my recent interest in cherries, I expected to find another perfume that wasn't going to contribute anything new. A little cherry lollipop at the start and then leaving a base of vanilla, leather, amber that lasts for more or less time.... BUT NO! This is totally different! Does it smell like cherry? Yes, but it is a cherry worked in a very different way than usual. Here the cherry is stripped of its most acidic part to leave a creamy and vanilla cherry, which accompanied by wine gives the sensation of a very pleasant cherry punch. Although this initial sensation disappears over time, it is noticeable that it is a cherry perfume for much of the duration of the fragrance, something that is not so common in a style of aromas. And then where is the negative part? Well, what I least expected taking into account the hype of this brand and many of the reviews that circulate out there. I was expecting a cherry bomb that would last for hours and hours projecting like a beast... And nothing could be further from the truth! Despite a moderately intense output, the perfume quickly subsides, becoming a fragrance with a moderate to soft aroma and projection, effective at short distances but not perceptible from medium distances. Furthermore, the duration is very normal (about 6 hours on my skin), and the last two hours are only noticeable when you bring your nose close to the skin, leaving a sensation of a cherry moisturizing cream more than a perfume itself (especially considering that it is a extract).. So what is my final opinion?... Well, it's difficult to decide because it fails a little in what I took for granted would be unbeatable, but it has surprised me very positively in what I thought it would be difficult for a perfume to surprise me, which is a cherry smell very different from everything on the market Le he dado la puntuación máxima aquí porque, si intento analizarlo de una forma lo más objetiva posible, olvidándome de las expectativas creadas por un hype que en mi no se cumple y en comentarios yo creo que en algunos casos un poco exagerados; me parece un muy buen perfume. Pero es un perfume que, el tiempo que dura, lo disfruto al máximo!!! Sin duda en mi top de perfumes en cuanto a aroma! I have given it the maximum score here because, if I try to analyze it as objectively as possible, forgetting about the expectations created by a hype that is not met in my opinion and in comments I believe that in some cases a little exaggerated; I think it's a very good perfume. Aroma 10/10 and average duration. It is not a perfume to be the center of attention or the king of the party, nor to show great elegance.... But it is a perfume that, as long as it lasts, I enjoy it to the fullest!!! Without a doubt in my top perfumes in terms of aroma!

This is amazing. I absolutely love Cherry ink. I honestly got a sample for the shiets and giggles, so colour me surprised that I'll be buying the full bottle in a heartbeat. The last time this happened was 3 years ago, so it's safe to say I'm hopelessly enamoured. This smells like a dangerous cherry, and I will bathe in this for months to come once I upgrade to a full bottle. The first 3 hours are otherwordly: It opens with a strong cherry that is just in peak season to harvest. But the ink and the oud (possibly the oud) give this scent something metallic in the background. A bit bloody, I'd say that puts my nose on edge in the best possible way. The cherry and the metallics play tag in the first 3 hours, and sometimes it dips into the booze-y vibe. Sometimes it warms up and I get a bit of aged wine and rum. The first 3 hours is what I imagine a modern vampire to smell like. A bit dark, a bit tempting covered in fruity playfulness. So good. After the 3 hours the scent warms up (though I'd wager that the heatwave I'm in certainly speeds up the process) and It gets a lot more tame/ generic. A vanilla and amber first skin scent with a faint cherry undertone. It's still lovely, just a lot more gentle on the soul, haha. The longevity of the scent surprised me too. In the first -5 hours its a powerhouse. I could smell myself as I walked through the city, that felt gooood. Afterwards the projection falls off a little, and all you get is a small personal bubble of sweetness. But that lasts a milennia (like a vampire's scent should) I washed, slept and I could still catch some of the scent in the morning which is insane, because my skin usually just yeets away perfume as if it was the plague. I'm basically just on my way to get a full bottle of this. The only thing holding me back is that I'll try Adam and Eve tomorrow (because figs are yay) and I want to see how that will go before I go back to the perfume shop. 10/10 will wear this again. Or rather, will wear this all the time.

Cherry Ink by Lorenzo Pazzaglia kicks off with a rich, syrupy cherry that instantly brings to mind Maraschino and Amarena cherries—the kind you'd find in cocktails or drizzled over desserts. It's dense, boozy, and very appealing... for the first few minutes. Unfortunately, that lush cherry fades quicker than you’d hope. Alongside it comes the “ink” note—an abstract, synthetic, almost industrial nuance that’s bound to divide people. Some might find it jarring or out of place, but I personally enjoy it. It hovers in and out of the composition, never fully taking center stage, and if you're not looking for it, you might barely notice it. As the scent evolves, the cherry takes a back seat and the fragrance morphs into a sweet, spiced wine vibe—reminiscent of sangria—layered with rose and other soft florals , creamy woods, and a velvety, powdery finish. The drydown continues this transition, settling into a warm woody-vanilla base with patchouli that’s instantly recognizable from other Pazzaglia creations. It’s comforting, smooth, and lingers for hours. Performance is solid, easily lasting through a full day. Overall, don’t go into this expecting a full-on cherry bomb or anything heavily “inky.” It’s more of a creamy woody vanilla scent with cherry-wine accents and just a wink of ink. Interesting, yes. But maybe not what you expect. If you're seeking a straightforward cherry scent or a bold inky fragrance, this might not scratch that itch.

My absolutely favourite cherry still stays with Duchessa by Gritti, but... .. this one is also remarkable. It is a very realisitic (almost photo realistic) young cherry in late spring - the one which is getting ripe as the first. A very young, vivid and full-bodied scent which still can be worn by different ages. It sound so realistic that it is close to smell like a concentrated cherry juice, but the wine and ink notes stop it when it's almost in the border. I have best experiences with the fragrance in winter and in cold times - back then it sounded clean and loud enough (but not too loud). Cold air and humidity were also absorbing sweetness which was too much. When I started with this perfume in this spring, it started to be a bit too sweet and a bit reminding some flavoured candies for kids. But it's still good - it's on the border, but not crossing it. I'm wondering how Pazzaglia manages it - being on the border of "too much?"with many of his fragrances, but not crossing it. Last moment not crossing it. Overall - a good projection and longevitity, and a scent I do appreciate a lot!

Love, Love the opening on this! Opens cool & I definitely get the Cherries, Almond, Rum & light Bergamot with the Ink letting you know it's there also. Not sensing too much Pepper. The Ink gets a little more noticeable as the blast of Cherries mellow a bit. Then, I get the Red Wine, Lilly of the Valley, Rose and a bit of Tonka, warming up the vibe. Will update wearing for awhile. Idk how to describe this...I wasn't liking something 15-30 min in, but I can't put my finger on it. It's like a clean but slightly sweet, soapy, cologne scent that leans a little more masculine. Maybe it's the Jasmine and Myrhh, 2 notes I generally do not care for. But now, 45 min in, it seems to shifting again. I would have liked more Musk, Ink & Patchouli, or something smoky, to be present. It's just like a clean, soapy lightly floral scent so far.

F*ckin' love this one. Perfect cherry perfume. Hit the spot. This is the cherry I've been looking for. 10/10 Opens up with a prominent sour-dark cherry (ink, almonds, woods, and booze support it in the opening). It's great. You catch boozy accords in the opening mixed with the cherry. Cherry sticks around for 2 hours or so (kinda wish the cherry lasted a little longer). Dries down to a dark almondy- inky- tonka beany scent, which makes this one so unique. This is an Extrait and it lasts on skin all day. Projection is good for the first 2 hours, then sits close (like arms length distance close) for the rest of the wear. Cherry Ink is a perfect name for this mixture as it smells exactly as it is named (perhaps Dark Cherry Ink would be more fitting). Vampy, dark, mysterious, unique. Fits the Halloween spirit perfectly.

It took me a few wears to appreciate this perfume but now I crave it. I find it to be very linear, which was boring to me on first wear, but now feels more like comforting assurance that I will smell like the same lovey, inky cherry for the 12 hours I continue to smell it on my skin. This cherry is no maraschino or freshly picked fruit but specifically those Italian cherries preserved in dark syrup that come in the beautiful white and blue ceramic jars. It is rich, deep, and candied but not overly sweet. I am unfamiliar with ink as a fragrance note but it does indeed smell like the big pots of ink I used to use in printmaking classes. It is highly realistic and well balanced with the cherry, adding a mysterious, somewhat industrial element to the overall composition.

Imagine having a handful of red and very juicy cherries , squeezing them and then enjoying the scent of their very tasty juice ... dipping them in a glass of robust red wine and holding it next to an inkpot that sweetens even more this aroma that slowly fades but never disappears, it always makes its presence felt. I love this fragrance which starts strongly with the note of cherry (not sweet) and slowly gets sweeter thanks to wine and ink, leaving a sensation of well-being and cleanliness. The sillage is truly remarkable, as indeed in all the extracts of Lorenzo Pazzaglia, who amazes me more and more and has given us fragrances that I am madly in love with.

This is a masterpiece!! First of all I like performance above all! I like to walk in the room and let my scent introduce me! The projection and sillage are remarkable! This is also exquisitely unique. I have nothing to compare it too. It is a cherry scent but the ink is in the spotlight. I never thought an ink note would be this beautiful. It almost feels a little cold on the tongue the way that iron in blood does when you bite yourself. It’s a wonderful oddity, not for everyone and I’m happy about that! I an an over sprayer but this cannot be overdone! 3 sprays is beast mode for this fragrance. What a sublime potion! It has to be Witchery!

One of the most beautiful and unique cherries I’ve encountered in perfumes. After getting tired of all the fragrances in the style of Lost Cherry, I was looking for something that wasn’t just another cherry liqueur bomb. And I found it in Cherry Ink. The name perfectly captures the essence of the perfume. It’s the scent of a serious, subdued cherry, thanks to the note of ink and red wine. As of now, it’s on the podium alongside Bodacious and Cherry Punk Extrait. Worth every penny!

This perfume is like crack to me I swear. The first couple seconds are addicting, almost like smelling a permanent marker combined with that powerful cherry scent. Much later it turns into something woody and powdery, which I also enjoy very much. It lasts a good while too, I can still catch whiffs of it a good 8 hours into my shift. This is the first Lorenzo Pazzaglia fragrance I've tried and makes me excited to try more from him.

This is other wordly! 😍 I didn't know what to expect with the Ink note but I am pleasantly surprised at how much I love it! It really smells like ink from a ballpoint pen, and adds to the aromatic note. And who would have thought to pair it with cherry, wine, and flowers?! This is different, unique, and bold. I love it so much!!

A beautiful realistic cherry note, maybe a bit powdery, starts off the journey. A little sweet, but not too sweet. After a bit the ink and the red wine become more prominent, lessening the sweetness. I'm not a huge fan of a wine note in perfume so still testing. The bottle looks cheap in comparison to how the fragrance smells.

woooow, this is definitely my favorite so far out of everything I’ve tried from lorenzo pazzaglia!! it’s an incredibly syrupy, liqueur-like cherry drenched in ink, and with time, a touch of wine joins in it feels so feminine and sensual, the kind of scent you can easily imagine on any of your favorite femme fatale characters

Absolutely GORGEOUS fragrance! Smells sweet but also intellectual and deep. I guess that’s the ink note. Definitely smells like cherry and ink. Reminds me a bit of Margiela Lipstick On, likely due to the notes of tonka, vanilla, and bergamot, though this one is not nearly as powdery (thank God).

In the opening i get a lot of cherry and almond The cherry is a bit synthetic and comes off pretty neutral As it is drying i am getting more ink hints It is a little powdery and bitter from the almond Not geting a lot of wine notes which i was really hoping for

This is the best cherry ever 😍 I had no idea what to expect when I checked the notes. I've never smelled anything like this before, combination of cherry note, ink and wine is out of this world. Unique, special and absolutely amazing 😍

Cherry Ink is unlike any cherry fragrance I've ever smelled. It's dark, boozy, and incredibly intoxicating. The ink note is fascinating - it adds this unexpected depth that keeps you guessing. Definitely a statement scent!
