#107 of My Fragrance Journey - Lorenzo Pazzaglia Esco Pazzo: A technicolour riot in a bottle. Test this on paper, and you'll probably put it back. Lemon, grapefruit, black pepper hitting the strip all at once like a strobe light in a dark room - bright citrus competing with spice and a syrupy sweetness, everything pushing forward simultaneously. It's a lot. Beautiful in a chaotic way, but genuinely overwhelming. Almost like a trap. Then it touches skin, and something focuses. The prism finds its angle. The light starts bleeding into long, emerald streaks - artemisia, cypress, bitter and medicinal and impossibly cool. It stops shouting and starts to breathe. One moment, there's a syrupy fruity sweetness like a sunset over water; the next, dry earthy mate and a textured lavender you weren't expecting. It refuses to pick a single identity and doesn't seem interested in trying. A classic fougère that decided to live a louder, more expressive life. Underneath it all, a metallic geranium hum - chrome catching a rainbow - keeps the whole thing from ever feeling safe or static. You follow it. That's the thing about Esco Pazzo. You don't wear it and move on. It keeps pulling you back in, brightness pushing against bitterness, warmth pushing against freshness, never landing anywhere long enough to let you get comfortable. The lavender, when it comes through, is grounded rather than clean. The geranium adds a slightly metallic, cedar-like dryness beneath a green floral lift. This is where the fougère structure reveals itself - but stretched, modernised, reimagined into something it probably wasn't supposed to become. The base doesn't settle either. Leather, tobacco, amber - but not heavy, not static. More like a soft velvety glow that holds onto the earlier brightness for hours, keeping the whole thing alive. And it does stay alive. Projects hard, lingers well past the point you've stopped noticing it, and with over fifty ingredients blended into it, somehow stays complex without becoming messy. That's the control underneath all that volume. Bold but purposeful. Demanding, but worth the patience. Overdo it, and the sweetness can tip. That's worth knowing. This is a fragrance that rewards a measured hand - give it room to move and it will. Crowd it, and something closes in. When it clicks, it genuinely feels alive. Not a scent you know immediately - more one you keep catching mid-transformation, always becoming something slightly different from what it was a minute ago. Sometimes it stays bright yellow and citrus-sharp. Other times, it sinks into that dark herbal emerald and stays there. I'm still not sure which version I prefer. Maybe that's the point. Vibe: Technicolour strobe, crushed herbs, warm leather in the dark. Performance: Loud, proud, and still there long after the party ends. Fit: You wear this when you want your presence to be a saturated, living statement - and you're ready for people to notice. Taking a break from the heavier “sea” side of Lorenzo Pazzaglia, I wanted to try something a bit fresher. The brand describes Esco Pazzo as a modern take on the classic fougère structure, with added oriental and amber touches. It’s also meant to evolve throughout the wear, changing as it develops on skin. So I was curious to see if this approach really adds something to the classic style or if it risks overcomplicating it. Right from the opening there is a lot going on. One thing I have learned from this house is that their fragrances really need to be worn on skin. You can test on paper, but you will miss the full drydown where everything comes together, and you will not get a true sense of the great performance. At the start you get artemisia, which comes across bitter, green, and slightly medicinal, almost like wormwood. There is also a noticeable camphor-like edge, which seems to be a signature touch from Lorenzo Pazzaglia, and it works really well here. Alongside that you get cypress, pepper, and spices, plus a light sweetness from fruity notes in the background. After about thirty minutes it starts to smooth out. This is where the fougère character becomes clearer. I get a slightly bitter tea-like feel from the mate, mixed with geranium and lavender. These are classic notes, but the camphor touch and that bit of sweetness keep it unique. After about an hour and a half to two hours, the base starts to come through. You get musk, a slightly salty ambergris feel, and a warm sweetness from saffron that adds depth without becoming heavy. Around three to four hours in, it settles into a more traditionally masculine drydown. The leather is smooth and refined, and the tobacco comes across dry and earthy. If you like tobacco scents I think you'll love the late dry-down here. Overall this is just fantastic. It feels masculine and slightly sweet, and while it follows a traditional structure it never smells dated. The way it shifts over time keeps it interesting, and the performance is really strong. It checks a lot of boxes for me. This feels like a very underrated release from the house. If a slightly bitter, camphor-like, subtly sweet fougère with great performance sounds appealing, then I think this is 100% well worth sampling. People might expect something more unusual from this brand, but this manages to feel both familiar and unique at the same time. Alright I'll stop there. Esco Pazzo is phenomenal.

Esco Pazzo is a fever dream in extrait form. It is an EVENT. I stumbled into it while hunting for sandalwood with bite, but what I found was full-body possession. First spray and I literally said out loud, “oh no.” Because I knew: this was it. Signature scent if you believe in such a thing. (I didn’t. Now I might.) It opens with no hesitations, no easing in. Just immediate, feral impact: roasted sugar and dark fruits slicked with rum, flanked by velvet woods and something borderline carnal. It’s like catching your own reflection and realizing you’re about to have an EXCELLENT day. But then—it evolves. There’s a molten elegance in how it moves. What starts like a decadent punch to the senses begins to reveal nuance: sandalwood, yes, but lacquered in something golden and slightly smoked. Oud that hums but doesn’t screech. Vanilla that flickers and a labdanum-resinous base that just keeps simmering. Every time I catch a new whiff hours later, it’s different—but still very much Esco Pazzo. And the performance? Don’t get me started. I’ve spritzed it at 9am and returned home at 1 am with my hallway still haunted. This extrait doesn't scream, it resonates. It leaves a lacquered trail on your clothes, on your skin, in the air. Powerful, but never cloying. Loud, but never brash. It’s confident in the way you want to be. I wear this when I want to derail conversations. When I want people to turn around. It doesn’t just invite compliments—it creates a ripple. People go glassy-eyed. They crane their necks. They ask. They linger. I’ve had full conversations spiral into fragrance philosophy over this juice. And yet somehow? It’s wearable. All seasons. All genders. All levels of sanity. I genuinely don’t understand why Lorenzo Pazzaglia isn’t a household name. Esco Pazzo is one of the most masterfully blended, wildly addictive extraits I’ve ever worn. It’s in the name. You will go crazy. So will they!!

Esco Pazzo is a unique experience for both experienced fragrance lovers and beginners. There aren’t many perfumes that smell similar, although you might find some comparisons in reviews. I would say it resembles Tom Ford Fucking Fabulous, but with a hint of pepper and more refined edges. At the beginning, citrus notes with pepper in the background are dominant, but in a pleasant way — not at all like a synthetic bomb. As the name suggests (“I’m going crazy”), it came after a long process of working on the perfume, failed combinations, and the search for the desired scent. People who observed Lorenzo Pazzaglia during the final stage of creating this fragrance say that, out of excitement, he exclaimed “Esco Pazzo” because he had created something truly unique and worth trying. It is not a typical fougère and can be compared to Tom Ford Fougere d’Argent (those more experienced will recognize this lavender masterpiece). After about an hour, Esco Pazzo reveals beautiful leather notes and saffron that blend perfectly with a smoky aroma. It never becomes boring — perhaps my best discovery so far.

And after smelling Esco Pazzo I can safely say that the ranking of my favorite perfumes has undergone a shake-up: it has jumped straight to first place, without any ifs or buts. The name could not be more appropriate: an eclectic, multifaceted, chameleon-like fragrance... it changes continuously but is always exceptionally pleasant. It's sparkling, cheerful, green, fruity, it gives me a sense of cleanliness, and I feel a note or chord prevail that made me "go crazy" because I can't understand what it is and what effect it has on me, pass me the term, extremely exciting on a sensorial level. I don't consider it as masculine, I wear it with extreme pleasure, I indulge in sprays even though it is already persistent and has a great sillage , but I like to be constantly surrounded by this perfume. In short, I didn't expect it, but in my personal ranking it is gold medalist.

Esco Pazzo by Lorenzo Pazzaglia is a majestic, sensational praise in a modern key of the classic structure of the fougère fragrances of the mid-20th century, enriching it with oriental and amber suggestions and nuances. Triumphant cornucopia, with an olfactory pyramid rich in raw materials of the highest level, which fused together give life to a modern, elegant and chameleon-like fragrance. The largely citrus opening: lemon, cedar, bergamot and grapefruit masterfully blended with the liveliness of pepper, creates a luminous explosion of freshness, leading the way to a fresh and then magically warm spicy aromatic heart. The dry down reveals a velvety base of leather, tobacco and amber of very rare purity and beauty.

WELL!!! Now this really was love at first sniff! Such unusual yet familiar scent! The beginning really reminded me of another favourite of mine - SHL Soleil de Jeddah. It is similar in its aromatic herbal qualities, although it lacks the soft leather touch. Instead Esco Pazzo goes down the soapy clean / sweet musky route and turns more fruity in the drydown. This is totally a perfect everyday and all-year-around signature scent for someone who likes to smell classic with a little twist. I would even say this qualifies as a safe blind buy. Esco Pazzo is one of those fragrances that leaves you in awe. It’s aromatic, woody, and spicy, but not in a harsh way, though this can be subjective. At the same time, it has a fresh, clean vibe. There’s something unique about it that sets it apart from other fragrances I’ve smelled so far. The longevity is fantastic, and the sillage is strong. From the moment you catch a whiff, you can tell it has very high quality and is masterfully blended. This was one of my first discoveries from the house of Lorenzo Pazzaliga, thanks to a recommendation, and I’m so glad I tried it. It was an instant buy after just one try.

For me Esco Pazzo is very Green, but in a cooling earthy way. I work in alcohol retail so the Artemisia note (Absinthe) was immediately obvious but tempered pleasantly by the Cyprus, Spices and Cedar. The fruity notes only ever linger in the background on my skin. This actually reminds me of when you walk into a pine forest on a hot summer's day and feel the temperature drop because of the shade, and you can suddenly smell the actual forest. Esco Pazzo is a huge performer so just a few sprays are plenty. I am thoroughly enjoying all the Lorenzo Pazzaglia fragrances I have bought so far.

I think this is very unisex. some days i get mostly fruit, some days spice. It's fun to see what my nose picks up. It does border on the sweetness. I don't care for very sweet fragrances and this straddles the line very nicely for me. Anyone can pull this off, anytime of the year, but I prefer this in the winter. seems like the spices are more noticable in the cold weather.

A flagrant and at the same time diluted copy of the original Raffaello of the Panthenon Rome. I have the impression that Pazzaglia and Sorcinelli use the same recipe. Even more devastating is the suspicion that what they are doing, they are doing it with the support of the creators of the original products. A shame and a great insult for us perfume lovers.

Way too masculine for me which is odd because I like masculine-leaning fragrances. Having sampled thousands of perfumes I think I like this the least. But I’ll try it on my husband as I usually really like-love Lorenzo’s creations. It must be the artemisia because I have never heard of it, but like all the other notes.

Smells masculine. It is very well balanced. It's a more refined, richer, stronger, oriental niche version of carolina herreras Bad Boy. Artemisia is the "crazy" ingredient. If esco pazzo was a character it would be a bold, unpredictable man that also (due to the fragrances sweet fruityness) has feelings.

This is a masterpiece.. straight up clean, soapy, spicy, it has everything in it for a nice signature everyday scent. Performance is out of this world. Im not really into clean fragrances myself im more on the dark gourmandy ot oudy side of things. but this.. is something else. 10/10

Delicious soap-like smell, but very original. Performance is near beast mode and it actually pulls a decent amount of compliments 💚

Esco Pazzo smells as if all three SHL Soleil de Jeddah (original, mango kiss, and afterglow) are mixed together. I do like it, but I like and own all three Soleil de Jeddah. An interesting scent that is worth sampling, but not blind buying. May be redundant if you already have any or all Soleil de Jeddah. I still have not decided if I need it. Performance is similar to that of SHL as well, but I certainly prefer the packaging of SHL.

Starts out a fruity orange-ish sort of note. Strangely smells very different right off the skin vs a foot away. Someone mentioned tomato leaf in a review and I definitely noticed it. A sort of bitter-ish sweetness. A peppery note emerges and combines with the sweetness (which I'll mention is not excessive by any means). Definitely shows it's craftsmanship via complexity. Still questioning if the overall scent is worth the price.

esco pazzo is a really interesting, almost festive (?) creation from lorenzo pazzaglia. i can certainly say i've never smelled anything like this before. it's a full-bodied blend of nuts and spices that envelope the wearer, radiating warmth. makes me think of christmas! i will warn that it is pretty easy to overdo this one—a single spray is likely enough :)

This fragrance is a lot fruitier than I thought it would be. The opening, which lingers around a lot longer than it should, smells like carbonated Hawaiian Punch. I actually like Hawaiian Punch, but as a guy, it's not how I want to smell. On my skin, I don't get any leather or tobacco. Just Hawaiian Punch from start to finish. This was a blind buy for me -- I'd never even heard of Lorenzo Pazzaglia until one of my discount sites started promoting it. For me, this is not an unpleasant fragrance, but I'd still consider it a disappointing purchase. I should have stuck to my gut instinct and purchased Bloody Smoke instead. Performance is strong, but that's Pazzaglia's motivation with all of his fragrances. I sprayed it on my arm last night, and I could still smell it on me when I woke up this morning (yes, still Hawaiian Punch). From a superficial perspective, Lorenzo Pazzaglia's bottles are small (I'm talking like 3" tall, with the cap on), so on unboxing, it immediately gives you this feeling of buyer's remorse, like you just spent a disproportionate amount of money on a very small amount of juice. Height-wise, it's probably the size of a nail polish bottle. If you're hoping to show this off on your fragrance collection shelf, you will be underwhelmed because the bottle is so small, it's practically unnoticeable and will be completely dwarfed by your other, normal-sized bottles.

شروع عطر شباهت بسیار زیاد ای با سولیل دِ جده داره .هرچند توی همون شروع هم وجوه تمایز بسیار زیاد ای دارند اما با اولین استشمام شما رو یاد معروف ترین عطر استفان هامبرت لوکاس می‌اندازه این عطر فضای انیمالیک بسیار کمتر ای نسبت به سولیل دِ جده داره و وجه میوه‌ای عطر هم متفاوته که این جا بیشتر حس و حال پلاستیکی و مصنوعی داره اون بوی تند و تیز که تا دقیقه‌ی 85 سولیل د جده حس میشه،اینجا 10 دقیقه ماندگاره و بعد از اون کم رنگ میشه میشه آروماتیک_اسپایسی شدن عطر رو تماشا کرد با هر بار بوییدن عطر خودش رو متفاوت نشون میده و بازی می‌کنه میشه فلفل و لوندر رو به خوبی حس کرد و شمعدانی رو با وجوه پارافینی پیدا کرد فضای هربال و سبز که بعد از نیم ساعت،خیلی خوب خودش رو توی عطر جا میده از نیمه های عطر ترکیب روایح،کمی حس صابونی بهم می‌داد گرچه مسیر عطر از نیمه های داستان متفاوت میشه اما تا لحظه‌ی آخر هم چیزی جز سولیل د جده رو یادآور نمی‌شد ***************** scent:6.5/10 longevity:9/10 sillage:8.5/10 purchase value:1/10 ********* overall:6.2/10

This is Lorenzo Pazzaglia’s tribute to the classic masculine fougère, reworked in his own modern style. The structure is all there: bright citrus in the opening, the clean lavender-and-geranium backbone, the herbal bitterness, mossy touches, and that unmistakable old-school barbershop vibe. But then the signature Pazzaglia twist kicks in — that sweet, sunny fruitiness he loves to use. And honestly, it works really well here. It keeps the fragrance from drifting into “grandpa territory,” which a lot of classic fougères struggle with today. There’s a really nice interplay between the bitter green side — artemisia, mate, aromatic herbs — and that warm fruity sweetness underneath. The fruity accord actually reminds me a lot of Sun-gria: juicy, sun-soaked, slightly boozy, and cheerful. The result is a fougère that still feels classic and masculine, but much more playful, colorful, and modern.

I thought it would be a BR540 dupe but it is not. Super strong and extremely masculine smell despite it states it’s for woman and man.

I found this one very difficult to explain what I’m actually smelling. Overall I’ve found that with a lot of LP fragrances he’s using a similar note especially in the sea collection but others as well. It smells like a fresh laundry fig note/accord and unfortunately that note has a direct association with household cleaners for me. This fragrance is overwhelmed by that particular note and overshadows all the other lovely ingredients in this. It took several hours for it to mellow out so I could tolerate it.

Openinf is kinda weird because its both clean and aromatic yet kind of musty/stinky at the same time Still deciding if i like it The herbals notes are definitely giving it soapy qualities, the most basic hotel soap though that is still not smelling very clean I can detect some cypress in the background As it dries its getting some pineapple/aventus qualities 🤧

If you are into grassy greens, you will love this. Absolute incredible longevity too. But I think the sharpness kinda ruins it. The grassiness with the sharpness is too much. I think the leather wasnt needed.

First of all i think this is my favourite scent ever. Esco pazzo is very different in a way no other fragrance smell close to it. It,s very fresh,spicy,aromatic, a little bitter and a little sweet I fell like there is something like a tomato leaf , spices , citruses, something fresh and d green all that is under-toned with sweet light amber and a just a touch of bitter ambergris Perform really well with 2-3 spray. 5 and more spray will leave you noseblind on the 3-4h. When i use 1-2-3 sprays. Projection is loud and i can feel the smell when i am moving for 8-9-10hours.After that you can catch the fragrance as body scent until the next day(16-20h) On clothes easily 2-3 days Last time a aplly 3 sprays at 07:00 easy can smell it on my neck, when you are skin close on the next morning 07:00 I have most ot LP fragrances. I love them but most of them are very hard for everyday using. They are really strong and diffrent but i can’t imagine i can smell like this all day. Esco pazzo is usable and i can’t imagine rate it like this: Preformance:10/10 Longetivity:8-10-24h Sillage and projection: 9,5/10 Loud-3-6h medium -5-10h skin scent:10-24h Actual smell:98/100

Received my bottle today. Sprayed on the forearm and it left a noticeable sheen for over an hour. A lot of spices and saffron. I'll definitely be updating on the performance. So I sprayed at 6:30 am before work and was still getting wafts at 6 pm. Reminds of Kalan which is a bitter-sweet fragrance with earthy undertones while this is fresh not too sweet with herbal undertones. Not that they're similar but they're both complex and very airy. This doesn't leave your skin and on clothes it lasts for days like you just applied it. Definitely stronger than Van Py Rhum. Tested them side by side and after 24 hours is a skin scent while Esco Pazzo can be smelt from an inch above skin. Will let both sit for a month and give them another wear to see if performance is improved even further.

Very aromatic freshn and spicy woody fragrance, for some even too aromatic. Personally I enjoy it, I dont love it but I sure dont hate it. Definitely more on the masculine side, you could describe the opening as mixing encre noire in a fruit juice box with some spices. When it dries down in the later stages you can smell more of the tobbaco amber and saffron side of the fragrance. Its very fun and a interesting take by Lorenzo on a woody fragrance. I will gladly finish my decant but Im not sure ill be picking up a whole bottle.

It took me a while to understand this scent - around 1/2h after spraying it I get a lovely cedar-saffron combo and a strange herbally note (I guess it's the Mate but I never smelled it so I don't know) - considering that testing conditions are late autumn in Northern hemisphere - I would love to find out how this scent behaves in hot/very hot weather - it's lovely anyway even like that. I don't recall smelling anything similar to this one, it's quite unique. Definitely worth a full bottle!

Credo diventerà il mio profumo 4 stagioni.. Un po' Pazzo come dice il nome, parto parlando della sua intensità che è spaziale, 2 spruzzi non di più... Durata ottima, infinita.. È un unisex più maschile che femminile ma io da donna lo amo.. È molto molto sexy, speziato, legnoso, amaro ma anche agrumato, fruttato ma sempre e comunque freschissimo.. Una potenza, non stucchevole.. Magari un po' forte per qualcuno.. Va provato.. Mi ha conquistato sin dal primo spruzzo quindi per me è un 9/10

I fell in love with this scent and then took the advice and went with the Rassasi Shurrah and they are exactly the same. For those who really love this and want to save and still have the same scent get the Rassai Shurrah. Even my wife couldn't tell the difference.

Just buy shurrah. It's less than a third of the price of esco pazzo. I used to own shurrah and gifted it to a friend. It made it back into my collection via Lorenzo Pazzaglia lol.

I don’t know any other scent that smells this much like mafia and still manages to attract girls... it’s an absolute masterpiece..
