Passion Rose

wow! one of the best rose based fragrances out there, no doubt. rose accord done right! the rose is not your regular designer synthetic, mainstream sweet floral kind, the rose in this smells more natural, like actual rose petals; it is very crisp, soft, and slightly green (which gives it a tea-like nuance). nice bright & fresh opening with passionfruit, rose, blackcurrant, a bit of saffron, pink pepper & really soft oud accord. i don't really get any bergamot. the passionfruit here is almost on par with oud maracuja except the passionfruit in oud maracuja is sharper, and this passionfruit accord is less sharp but retains that fruity, tropical, juicy accord. dries down to even more rose, with bits of herbal petitgrain & a light jasmine. base is unusual but good, grapefruit note used in base? only lorenzo does this sort of weird move, but somehow he got it to work, the base is nothing too crazy—nice musk, slight oakmoss, wood, & a tiny touch of vanilla & leather accord. i don't pick up any grapefruit note in the base. longevity is insane for a freshie, and the projection is surprisingly good too for how oily this formula is, it definitely shines more in the heat, it'll make the scent jump off your skin even more. this is a perfect rose-based freshie with a different take on it, perfect for floral lovers. also, i have to disagree with what @toothfairy0595 said below; this is one of the best, if not the best, floral fruity I have ever smelled; I am not sure what he/she is saying lol; this is what adonis awakens by argo should be, but argo's is slightly synthetic and not as smooth. overall, 10/10 (amazing scent & performance)

Just like everyone says, it is a fizzy passionfruit with roses. But is has a solid density/thickness that makes it a bit cloying on the hottest day and perfectly fresh on the coldest day. It is not an airy fruity rose or a gourmand rose. It is a dense waxy fruity rose. It is a beautiful feast of uplifting fruity notes and romantic roses. The biggest applause for this is it does not go into a gourmand territory of sweetness like many in the market today. It maintains its fruity rosy character with freshness til the end. It smells quiet simple and familiar but also very reserved in the way that it projects and the drydown it is going to. Opens up with a fizzy sweet fruity notes of passion fruits that right away accompany by waxy romantic Bulgarian Rose (most similar to Initio Atomic Rose). It also slightly reminds me of FENTY Fenty edp. It remains that way for almost the whole time, but the roses dissipate slowly into the drydown where it turns into a very light citrusy musky skin scent. It may be a bit cloying from the cosmetic-like density of Bulgarian rose in a hot summer day. But during the colder months, it is very beautiful. It is uplifting during the grey/blue fall/winter days and brightly delighting during summer nights. The thickness of the rose lifts the fruitiness into the air beautifully. It is beautiful on a lady and also delightful on a man. .

Wow 🌹✨ Let me just start by saying this: This fragrance is for Rose lovers. If you do not like/love Rose, this one isn’t for you. This is indeed passion for Rose. It’s a Strong Rose with a fruity and citrusy presence. The Rose note itself is present from beginning to end but it shifts from fruity to green to woodsy as the day goes by. This can be a moody rose with earthy undertones, but at times, it’s a joyous and regal Rose that has an undercurrent of fruits with a whisper of sweetness, at least in the top notes. As the day goes by, it turns more into a woodsy and green fragrance with traces of citrus and musk notes. No sweetness at all in the mid and drydown notes. It pulls more mature and dare I say matronly? Lasts all day, longevity wise. Not a bomb of a perfume nor is it a skin scent. I am admiring the craftsmanship and quality of Lorenzo Pazzaglia’s work. All in all, I love it 🌹🌹

Fizzy, Sugary, and I MEAN REALLY SUGARY. It's got this really intense tart fruitiness that reminds me of passion fruit pulp. There is a floralcy that is unmistakably non-white and non-yellow, so by default it must be a rose or a peony, given how fruity it is. I really like it. It kinds reminds me of Atomic Rose with how tart it gets, but I still find this a bit tarter and fruitier and darker than Atomic Rose. AR leans more on the citrus and the pink pepper with some underpining vanilla, Passion is solely dependent on the pulp of the passion fruit. There's something like menthol in the first application, which makes me think of a nice tropical cocktail for this. I love it. I think it's full bottle worthy and somewhat a nice reprieve from the very dense vanilla-based gourmands in the house.

Lovers of the ROSE you cannot fail to take into consideration this splendid creation by Lorenzo. In this fragrance we have the rose protagonist in all respects, a fresh, candid, sparkling, joyful, wet and crunchy rose. A sparkling rose opening thanks to the notes of pink pepper and saffron, fresh, citrusy, I find it truly exquisite and natural. A rose that is the protagonist in all respects in this fragrance that I still see as a unisex perfume that winks at the feminine but that I too would wear without problems. Versatile, wearable in my opinion in any season and in any context. It gives me joy and serenity. Well done !

in the opening the first thing i smell is the juicy tart passionfruit with some citrus and the rose isn't very prominent. after a couple mins the rose starts to become more prominent and the patchouli and petitgrain can be smelt in the background. in the base the scent becomes slightly muskier and less citrus focused but still present with the beautiful passionfruit note. the rose isn't a sweet type of rose but rather a more realistic and fresh rose which is perfect for summer. lasts around 10 hours and forever on clothes, not sure about projection but i think it would jump of your skin more in the summer. 9.7/10

It’s one of those perfumes which may not r You from the first sniff, but the longer You wear it, the better it gets. It‘s a beautiful fruity floral perfume, but not this regular sweet and overly synthetic smelling one. This one has exotic freshness and a little bit of pepper. I‘ve tried it on spring and in summer. Seems that for me it works more during the summer season. Most probably it’s due to the fact that my skin is now slightly tanned and therefor the fruity notes are more complex.

At first spray the fragrance offers a fruity fresh and crisp rose Very beautifully done, not synthetic at all, i love love it and im not a rose fan In the opening the pepper is giving it spicy qualities Grapefruit, passionfruit and other fruits offer freshness, greenness and a slight aromatic qualities When it dries down it gets less fresh and less spicy Instead of that the musks emerge along with woody notes and the fragrance becomes very clean and "musky fresh"

Wow this is incredible. This smells like a fizzy passionfruit soda that I had as a kid once and absolutely loved, which had a flower in it as well that just complemented the aroma of the passionfruit oh so well. This also heavily reminds me of Pacific Chill but with passionfruit, both being super juicy and fruity, and would probably peak during summer.

I didn’t expect to love this one as much as I do, but I’m completely hooked. It gets everything right with it’s bright, fruity, and fresh notes without feeling too sharp or overpowering. Every time I wear it, it just makes me feel good. I reach for it more than anything else I own. It’s one of those scents that just feels like me. I really do love it.

I love running along my beloved Lungomare, well, in spring, I was always struck by the wonderful scent that the rose bushes gave off along my route. This is the feeling that this wonderful fragrance gives me, a May rose, pink in color, florid and fragrant. The persistence is truly remarkable, the scent of spring par excellence.

As a winter scent lover, this is one of the few warmer-weather scents I can handle. On my skin, it's not as sugary as people describe, although I can see where they might be coming from. It's a powerful scent for the youthful citrusy-rose lover. I would describe this as being almost "rosier" than PdeM's Delina.

Oh dear passion rose, my sweet pookie. If I had a dollar every time I think of you I would have one dollar because you came once and never left. Rose water scent, freshly sweet rose, so relaxing and calming. Very signature scent worthy. Pretty seductive too I would say, because it’s so unique.

Okay...I'm vowing to make this fragrance the absolute LAST Lorenzo Pazzaglia fragrance I purchase and/or sample. For whatever reasons, this house and I do not make a great match. But because there are so many positive reviews for this fragrance, I FORCED myself to push through the opening each time I applied "Passion Rose." I find the intense, citrus (passion fruit) opening notes slightly off-putting and relatively discordant with (what is supposed to be) a rose-centric fragrance. I have to over-work my brain to push-out the overwhelming, passion fruit, fizzy-fruity opening. The fizzy, citrus opening notes actually sting my nose, my eyes & my throat. On my skin, the powerful, fruity opening medley initially feels unbalanced and misplaced with the rose and the other emerging notes. I get some petit grain, some patchouli, I suppose. But there's boat-loads of passion fruit. I even detect something akin to pineapple. As the fragrance develops, vegetal, green, earthy and sour notes emerge. During the mid-phase, the perfume does develop in a positive and unexpected way. Within 15-20 minutes, sour, slightly bitter, green vegetation with a wee-bit of rose begins poking through the heavy, fruity opening. The sourness and vegetal development are welcome because these aspects cut through and minimize the powerful, opening fruity notes. And after 30 minutes, the fragrance DOES calm down and the rose does project more. I still detect FRUITS (primarily grapefruit, passion fruit). It's really hard for me to get past the mixture of fruity notes. But for me, the dry down is what makes this fragrance worthwhile. In the end, there is a good amount of rose with musk, some vanilla, oak-moss. All this against a moderately fruity back-drop. The dry down is pretty nice. And as others have already stated, the ingredients and fragrance notes never feel synthetic, or contrived, or artificial in any way. Quality ingredients are evident in this fragrance. Hmmmmmm. I'm not sure the combination is for me.

I was expecting a tropical fruity rose. This is that, but done in an unexpectedly grounded, earthy, woody way, that to me comes across as having some maturity. This isn't a fun bubbly tropical. There is a darkness and a depth to it, that make this creation truly stand out. The rose is very intense, and the passionfruit is very noticeable throughout as well. They exist within a forest of woods, patchouli and mosses, on a bed of musk. Like in a forest, there's dappled sunlight coming in with the hints of citrus, that keep this from ever getting too dark. I don't understand the comparisons to Atomic Rose at all, other than the fact that both are potent rose fragrances. Passion Rose is a very unique scent with distinct character. I'm testing this in the middle of winter, and will be interested to see how this performs in the spring/summer.

Super densely packed rose note with a tingle of citrus and peach-like accord, beautiful and very feminine but 1-dimensional and not much change of development. It'll only smoothen out after initial spray but maintains the same exact scent profile. It dries down to a smoother rose and the citrusy peach fades away Strong projection and longevity even on skip, its not super sweet/sugary but more pink garden rose with a floral tangy fizzy nuance in the background. Its not for me, but my mom really loved it, so I gave it to her to enjoy, it kinda has a vintagey vibe. Not super modernised but an isolated passionate ROSE as the scent name suggests. I wouldn't buy a full bottle, but I'm happy to wear and smell it on others, she's lovely

Opening is very citrus-y on me with some bouquet-like rose, I can't smell pepper at all. Then it becomes a little less overwhelming and notes blend better together, I can smell grapefruit itself which is quite nice and fresh, and more rose, less offensive than the first one lol. I just wish I could feel the jasmine, but my skin seems to not project it at all lol. It's not my first choice, but this is pretty fragrance and for me it feels quite versatile, if I can't decide what to wear, I'll can go with it

Strong passion fruit note in the opening that is quite sharp. The rose is not very dominant to my nose. It's has decent longevity but the silage isn't the best. This fragrance is just ok imo. There are much better fruity floral fragrances if that is what you are looking for.

For rose lovers only. On my skin, it turns into a blackcurrant rose (green stems, dew and tomato plants around it). Remind me of Diptyque L’ombre dans l’eau.

there's a lot going on with this fragrance. I feel like I should like it, but something or many things are making me not vibe with it. I will let it sit and revisit it at a later time, probably in the fall/winter. The "a-lot-ness" is A LOT!!!

Wow! this is a fizzy scent full of powerful notes. The Passionfruit note is hyper realistic. Have you ever had a fresh passion fruit drink? not soda, not from a cardboard container, but made with the real fruit, seeds and all? this perfume has that scent. Like if you blended passion fruit with some citrus and added rose water to the mix. Fizzy, tropical, pretty. Sample it first. It might be too much for some people.
