Van Sea

This is a gorgeous, beachy, slightly salty vanilla. In a sea of vanillas, I’d say this is quite unique. Instead of being loaded with a base of sunscreen, we have sea vibes. I love mint in a fragrance and do wish it was a bit stronger here. I only get a hint of freshness, but don’t particularly smell mint. I usually hate myrtle in a scent, but here it is done so well that it just smells like the smell of the sea air in the background. Completely unisex. I do find, like others have mentioned, that it does fall a bit flat as it dries down but I also think this would be phenomenal in heat. To my nose this is similar to LV’s Imagination, although that one is a bit too soapy for me. This is a bit sweeter and more wearable imo. Unsure if this will end up in a purchase, but it’s very likely.

A masterily blended vanilla perfume with marine notes!! In my case I have difficulty to distinguish the vanilla scent after the opening, I mean, vanilla as a single note, if it is said to be a vanilla dominant fragrance, its vanilla must has been wonderfully blended into other notes! Somehow it reminds me a lot of Sel_vanille but without cloning artificial notes. If price allows, this is superior, otherwise the other is perfectly doing a very similar job, in my opinion. Edit: The dry down is completely a salty soft vanilla. Very beautiful! It is a definitely vanilla dominant fragrance, especially un hour after the oceanic opening. Modern vanilla. (In comparison of the sweet vanilla)

Van -sea represents another of Lorenzo's passions: vanilla and the sea. In this perfume, the vanilla is clearly perceptible already from the sparkling and very good opening, a sweet / fresh combination also thanks to the notes of mint, yuzu and absinthe in the head that soften the sweetness of the vanilla which in any case predominates the scent without being intrusive in my opinion . Flowery and creamy notes are also found in the heart where slightly salty hints begin to be seen, thanks to the notes of myrtle, ambergris and salt. A well balanced sweet perfume ideal for all those people who love this kind of perfume. Duration as always paxxesca!

Where do I even begin... Lorenzo Pazzaglia once again produces a masterclass of a blend. The savory opening that is heavily supported by a vanillic undertone was enough to make me salivate. I didn't get any hints or harsh alcohol smell which made me appreciate the opening even more than I expected. As the dry down settles, it reminds me of a lukewarm evening on the California coastline. The ozonic/salty crunch mixed with this hypnotizing vanilla makes this one of my favorite fragrances in my collection. Dare I say this becomes my signature scent this summer?

blind bought from my friend who didn’t like it, sprayed it on skin and genuinely got wet. i like the sweeter scents for summer and this is perfect. everything i couldve hoped for and more. will be buying again.

Extremely nice perfume!! Take Sex Sea and add different types of very natural smelling vanilla!! The dry down is just gorgeous!!!! For me it’s the best in the whole Pazzaglia collection!! 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

This is really good. It's in the same family as Dream Sea but i prefer this one. Take Sex Sea and add vanilla, you get Van Sea. Great for Spring/Summer.

The sexiest summer fragrance from Lorenzo with amazing performance love it

Van Sea by Lorenzo Pazzaglia feels like the meeting point between two collections in the brand’s portfolio: the rich, vanilla-focused Vanilla Collection and the salty, aromatic marine Sea Collection. It opens sharper than expected, with a bitter, zesty hit of yuzu and artemisia that immediately keeps things brisk and slightly austere. I’ll admit, I was preparing myself for a dense, sugary vanilla bomb — but that never really happens. Instead, the vanilla emerges smoothly and remains controlled, warm but never dense or cloying. It sits at the center of the composition, while the sea quietly hums in the background: salty seawater, myrtle, ambergris, hints of algae, and a restrained touch of oud. These marine and aromatic notes don’t dominate; they act more like atmosphere, giving the vanilla a mineral, slightly briny edge rather than turning the fragrance fully aquatic. Van Sea wears effortlessly and lasts all day, though the projection is more moderate than what I usually expect from Pazzaglia. It’s present and persistent without being overwhelming, resulting in a balanced and surprisingly elegant overall effect. It brings to mind Armani Privé Bleu Turquoise, but with the vanilla pushed forward and the salty aromatics dialed back. It also recalls Dream Sea, again with the marine elements subdued and the vanilla clearly in the spotlight. In the end, Van Sea is vanilla first and foremost, with sea elements playing a supporting role. It’s a smooth, wearable hybrid — more about creamy warmth touched by salt than a full-on marine statement.

This is clearly a vanilla-forward blend, lifted by fresh citrus and gently sweet, aromatic accents; yet the sea effect is fairly subtle. It can still satisfy that craving for an airy summer-night vanilla. While the note profile might suggest Dream Sea, it doesn’t have Dream Sea’s salty, marine vanilla. And it lacks Black Sea’s more pronounced marine character and powdery facets as well (my “sea collection” is limited to those, so that’s what I’m comparing against). What it evokes for me instead is a Mediterranean mood: breezy, bright, and aromatic up front. Overall, it’s a lovely scent; I enjoyed it; but it also feels like the kind you forget a bit too quickly, for some reason. Tag(s): airy vanilla, aromatic, mediterranean, breezy

All of LP fragrances are quite good, very good lasting power for extraits. However, they feel not well rounded or just extraits to be long lasting, all based off of vanilla. Nothing interesting in these or something that sets them apart from others. Eg van py rhum is reminiscent of vanilla royale, patchouli-boozy-vanilla. Van sea is another Bleu turquoise, any other salty, marine and dark vanilla. Just a lot more added vanillic sweetness.

In the opening we got off to a great start, it is a shame that as time went on this fragrance fell more and more into oblivion. Opens with that beautifully airy vanilla with herbs and marine spirit, not so much salt but an idea of the sea being close. Vanilla is in the center of the attention, everything else hovers around accompanying her. Soft scent so performance is according to that profile.

Van Sea is an immediate love for me. As the name suggests, it’s a beautiful salty vanilla. An added bonus is that it easily lasted 6+ hours on my skin. I’ll be wearing this very often over the spring and summer months. Luxurious, tangy scent - it gets my highest recommendation.

In essence, you could describe Van Sea as Sex Sea with an added touch of vanilla. I own both fragrances and don’t find them redundant. On my skin, Van Sea tends to last longer, likely because the vanilla helps anchor the scent. In contrast, with Sex Sea, the citrus elements fade quickly on me. It’s an unusual combination, yet it’s very well blended. Initially, it was created as an exclusive scent for an Italian boutique before eventually becoming part of the official Vanilla and Sea line. It explains why there are fewer reviews available. I think all in all this is a pleasant scent profile that can be worn year round; without offending anyone, especially vanilla haters as the vanilla is present but well blended and not off-putting

Still searching for my perfect vanilla summer scent. This one is a bit to bold on the marine notes. Harsh bathing salt like smell that I dont enjoy..

Overall: Van Sea is the most diverse in the Sea lineup of scents because it barely would be considered a sea scent. Strong vanilla rushes the open and dominates the scent. Blended with citrus and sea notes, Van Sea squeezes its way in with the rest of the scent line by technicality. Eternal longevity is to be expected from Lorenzo Pazzaglia and Van Sea is a pleasant, extremely sweet, and refreshing vanilla scent. Van Sea as a "Sea" scent: It's not! Upon first impression, it reminded me of an orange dreamsicle (orange/vanilla ice cream popsicle). While Yuzu is the citrus that is blended in this scent, the strong vanilla with it defaulted me to think orange. Smelling deeper, I can tell that it isn't orange. In Lorenzo Pazzaglia's Artic Sea, the same notes of algae/myrtle/salt/sea notes are more distinct. In this scent, it maybe makes 5-10% of the scent, Vanilla being the other 70%, and citrus making the remaining 20%. By listed notes this would appear to be a sea scent, but by olfactory it's a youthful vanilla. In the dry down, the lesser notes increase in presence, but still vanilla forward. How to Wear: Eternal scents are a hell of a ride and incredibly easy to overdose. In my experience with the Lorenzo Pazzaglia lineup, a half spray will last the day. If wearing for indoors, apply a half-spray hours before arriving to your destination. Gently apply a half-spray onto the wrists, dab both wrists together, then dab the wrists onto the neck, and finally dab the wrists onto either the skin of the torso or on the clothing of the torso. Yes, a half-spray will cover all spots incredibly well. It will allow gestures to be noticed, intimate areas to be present, and sillage to be evenly covered, respectively. If outside, work up to one spray, but still allow yourself the time for the scent to calm down. The smells are awesome, but others may not have the appreciation. Allow for them to be drawn to it, not driven away. Of the line-up, this is the least controversial scent. Strong, but very likely that most can appreciate it. Rating: 8/10 This ranks 4th out of the 5 scents in the sea lineup for Lorenzo Pazzaglia. While it is sweet and unique, I want something more out of a sea scent. Artik, Black, and Dream Sea all deliver a better experience. This is a great wear for polite occasions and the vanilla is great. I do think this is something I'll wear more of, but not as often as the others in the lineup.

This was a blind buy purchase based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews and WOW...this is some amazing juice! Extremely happy with my purchase, couldn't have asked for a better fragrance for the upcoming Colorado winter. Blind buy safe IMHO and I highly, highly recommend if you enjoy vanilla forward scents. The only issue for me and contrary to what seems to be the consensus on here is performance. This seems to be weak on longevity and sillage or maybe I've gone nose blind (asnomic). I put a couple sprays on my hand and within 30 mins. it's just a skin scent.

This one is almost identical to Blue Turqoaze by the Armani Prive line, except it is a much better performer and slightly better blended. The smell itself is exactly how a skin smells when you apply some sun lotion after a swim in the sea. It is quite pleasant, summer "nostalgic" if you wear it in the winter. The performance is great and if you're into the type of smell I described( I personally deem it a bit too generic), you can hardly find a better cologne in the genre. However, considering the price, I suggest testing first.
