در ابتدا با بوی محسوس برگ بو عطر شروع به پخش رایحه میکنه. برگ بو کاملا در نتهای ابتدایی عطر واضح هست. حدود 15 دقیقه بعد؛ لیمو و سروکوهی در یک لحظه وارد میشوند. خیلی جالبه که حضور این دو؛ آکورد خیلی زیبایی رو بوجود میاره که سروکوهی یک حالت تیزی گیاهی مخصوص به خودشو داره و لیمو هم در کنارش خودنمایی میکنه بعد از 2 ساعت که عطر رو میبویید؛ واقعا شگفت زده میشید. به قدری استادانه روی نتهای عطر کار شده که من رو متحیر کرد. هنر عطر سازی لورنزو ویلورسی اینجا خودش رو نشون میده. اگه بخواهم هنر مندی ساخت این عطر رو با یک مثال بیان کنم به این مورد میتونم اشاره کنم که چند تا آشپز رو اگه مواد اولیه لازم برای درست کردن قرمه سبزی رو به آنها بدهید؛ هر کدوم یک محصولی رو به عنوان قرمه سبزی درست میکنند. که فقط یکی از اونها هست که عطر و طعم فوق العاده ای داره. با اینکه همشون یک محصول هستند؛ ولی فقط یکی هست که باب میل انسان خواهد بود. اینجا هم دقیقا همینطوره؛ لورنزو ویلورسی در نتهای میانی اثری شاهکار خلق کرده. از عناصری همچون میخک؛ برگ بو؛ فلفل؛ سروکوهی؛ آویشن و خزه بلوط چنان آکوردی ساخته که واقعا بینظیر هست و من کمتر در عطری این توازن روایح رو تجربه کرده بودم یک موردی که من در مورد عطرهای نیش خیلی دوست دارم این هست که در کنار کیفیت بالای روایح و خاص بودن رایحه عطر؛ به ظاهر عطر هم به نحو بسیار زیبایی توجه شده و به نوعی بین نوع رایحه عطر و بسته بندی و شیشه ی عطر رابطه ی منطقی وجود داره.وقتی که به نتهای پایانی عطر اوامو میرسیم؛ بویی که ایجاد میشه؛ دقیقا هم رنگ با شیشه ی عطر هست. در واقع در نتهای پایانی عطر؛ میتونید دقیقا رنگ عطر رو به سرمه ای نسبتا روشن تشبیه کنید به عقیده ی من این عطر بیشتر برای فصل بهار و پاییز مناسبه تا تابستون. چون که حالت شادابی اون زیاد نیست. البته عطرنسبتا شادابی هست؛ ولی نه اینکه در حدی که بشه گرمای طاقت فرسا رو با این عطر سپری کرد و بخصوص برای ماههای تیر و مرداد باید به گزینه هایی شادابتر فکر کرد At the beginning, the fragrance starts to spread with the noticeable smell of the scented leaves. It is exactly the same here; Lorenzo Vilorsi has created a masterpiece in the middle notes. from elements such as cloves; smelly leaves; pepper; mountain top Thyme and oak moss create such an accord that is truly unique and I have rarely experienced this balance of flavors in a perfume. One thing that I like very much about Nish perfumes is that in addition to the high quality of the scents and the uniqueness of the scent; The appearance of the perfume has been very beautifully taken care of and somehow there is a logical relationship between the type of perfume scent and the packaging and the perfume bottle. When we reach the final notes of Avamo perfume; the smell that is created; It is exactly the same color as the perfume bottle. In fact, in the final notes of the perfume; You can exactly compare the color of the perfume to a relatively light navy In my opinion, this perfume is more suitable for spring and autumn than summer. Because he is not very cheerful. Of course, the fragrance is relatively fresh; But not to the extent that you can spend the excruciating heat with this perfume, and especially for the months of July and August, you should think of fresher options.

Review for the EDT: Opens with a blast of citrus (mostly lemon), supported by petitigrain and coriander, At this stage, I find it pleasant but questionned how many could see this fragrance as outstanding compared to the many other typical italian-style summer-y eau de cologne on the market (AdP Colonia and co...) Then it will slowly morph into a beautiful soapy musk, with a noticeable floral/herbal/spicy support, in particular from lavender, sage and cloves. While I loved this part, it's not before the drydown that the diamonds will truly start to shine, when a delicate mossy vetiver note will show up, and dance with a stunning creamy/patchouli-esque wood note with a facet of Guerlain Heritage, but most of all sharing strong similarities with the drydown of Villoresi's Sandalo. And that is no surprise since the olfactive notes are very similar. I would even push as far as to say that Uomo and Sandalo are two variations of the same song using the same sandalwood/rosewood base, with Uomo amping up the citrus and herbal notes, while Sandalo will (as expected) focus more on the spicy/creamy woods. Who will be patient (and paying enough attention) will be rewarded by a subtle but beautiful nutty/smoky/salty vetiver note in the late drydown. Performance is indeed on the softer side, falling as a skin scent after an hour, and disappering after 3-4 hours. But this is pretty much standard for a citrus/herbal fragrance. The many criticisms I could read on that matter might come from the misleading EDT label, and I feel that an EDC label might have served better its case. That said, a bit of overspraying will increase the longevity to 5-6 hours, and also slightly improve the projection. This is probably one the best citrus/herbal-centered fragrance I have smelt so far, and stands on the same shelf with Armani Eau pour Homme and L'Homme de Gres, with Uomo being probably the most refined/smoother of these 3, thanks to a more controlled use of moss and aromatics (and the magic creamy wood base that I previously described). Between Uomo and Sandalo? My preference might go to Sandalo by an inch, but Uomo is a close runner-up, and I'm glad I have both in my life! Highly recommended to men without peter pan syndrom (that is: who have moved from Layton, Invictus and Allure Extreme). Stunning. Warm (but not hot) days, men (not boys) 25+ Edit: Review for the Profumo in Olio (oil perfume): It's similar to the EDT, both in scent and performance. The difference is mostly that the oil perfume results way drier, with toned down citruses and amped-up thyme, sage and coriander, giving an overall dusty/sandy effect. Imagine a cocktail of 1 volume of Tauer's LADDM (depleted of its amber base), mixed with 2 volumes of the original Uomo EDT, and you'll get an idea of what the Profumo in Olio delivers. Overpriced imo (even more now that it's discontinued) and probably not essential for whom already owns the original EDT, but still, a great fragrance on its own. ⁝

The first time I smelled Uomo I was intrigued because the ingredients and accords within have such a distinct quality to them. They come across as very fresh, natural, and masculine; traditional with a modern flare; classic, but new. Uomo has one of the better citrus openings I have experienced (and there are LOTS of fragrances with citrus openings!). The lemon, orange, and bergamot is vibrant and alive. With your eyes closed, it's easy to imagine the fruit right there, just in front of your nose. It's like they were freshly squeezed and thrown directly into the little blue bottle. Crisp and energizing, these top notes serve as an excellent way to start your day. At times it feels as though this EDT was designed to be put on first thing in the morning, after your shower and before you head out the door. It's a working man's fragrance, lending itself to a sober mind and brisk pace--there's something about it that feels productive. As it moves toward the middle Uomo becomes wonderfully spicy--the resins, sage, pepper and coriander transition from the citrus top and merge with it seamlessly. The spice is zesty and fresh, slightly warm and aromatic. It's worth mentioning that some lavender also becomes apparent during this stage, though its role is minor, serving to accent the spice. The base is woody and light, and beneath the woods there is a smooth, almost dark musk that holds and blends the scent to the skin. It is easy to overlook this aspect of Uomo, yet it is an important little detail in the overall character of the fragrance. Uomo works fantastically in the spring and summer, but is also good for the fall or winter. It's a very versatile fragrance that I could easily see becoming someone's signature scent. Projection is very good, longevity is average. If you are looking for a modern, quality edt that has something of a classic appeal, look no further. Uomo is the one for you. I recommend it highly.

An aromatic, citrusy, green, and woody aroma with powerful fougère vibes in an old and intimate barbershop atmosphere that bears the distinctive and classic signature of Lorenzo Villoresi. Aromatic herbs (bay leaf, sage, rosemary, and lavender) with a slight medicinal plant sensation are blended in a wooden bowl, along with spice seasonings. Finally, sour citrus juice is added to this herbal and spicy mix. This herbal and tangy blend exhibits a soapy, lime-like, relatively bitter, and dry fragrance, which I believe contributes significantly to the perfume's old atmosphere. In the heart of the fragrance, a fleeting hint of flowers accompanies its spicy sweetness As we progress towards the end, the wooden vetiver dimensions become more prominent. In the end, we are presented with an aromatic, bitter, and sour woody scent that exudes a classic character, making it stylish yet suitable for daily use. آروماتیک، مرکباتی، سبز و چوبی با رگه های قدرتمند فوژِغ درفضایی باربرشاپی و قدیمی که امضای کهنه و نوستالژیکِ لورنزو ویلورزی رو پاش داره. گیاهان معطر(برگ بو، مریم گلی، رزماری ، لوندر) با چاشنی ادویه در کاسه ای چوبی کوبیده و مخلوط شدن و در آخر آب مرکبات ترش و تازه به اون ها اضافه شده. این معجونِ گیاهی و ترش رو رایحه ای صابونی، آهک مانند و نسبتا تلخ و خشک (مثل بوی بخار حمام های قدیمی که عطر صابون مراغه و گلنار و نوره در فضاشون پخش بود) دربر گرفته که به نظرم بخش مهمی از حس کلاسیک عطر مدیون همین رایحه س. در میانه راه عطر نوازش کوتاهی از شیرینی گلی رو درکنار شیرینی ادویه ایش حس میکنه. با حرکت به سمت پایان، ابعاد چوبی خاکی وتیوری بیشتر خودنمایی میکنن و در نهایت رایحه ای آروماتیک، چوبی، تلخ و پیش روی ماست که با کاراکتر باربرشاپی، و کلاسیک درعین شیک بودن، قابلیت مصرف روزمره رو هم داره.

If you want to have real Niche man's perfume - Uomo from Lorenzo Villoresi is exactly what you need. Reading about ingredients and great number of reviews I was anxious to try, because I could not imagine how it can be Spices/Wood and Fresh at the same time. I love Sandal wood - Patchouli - Musk - Pepper but they all are not associated with Fresh fragrance even there is citrus or something what is usual for Fresh. And, it's my opinion to create good Perfume for the winter evening time much easier than to produce sophisticated and unique Fresh one for spring/summer time. The Villoresi statement that His favorite fragrance is Uomo since 1992 till now and that He wears it almost exclusively is very intriguing to give it a try. Apparently, Uomo is the first EDT as for me where the bay leaf is so "loud" and so beautiful at the same time, I would say it's like Signature of this masterpiece. However, perfume is blended so professionally that no one component is dominant long time, it's like a symphony orchestra perfectly conducted. Wearing it everyday during long period of time it's still not boring, perfume plays with new nuances all the time. I understand Villoresi statement about Uomo. it's not simply PR. Amazing! Longevity is great, but sit close after 5-6 hours. Silage is exactly in the way which men's perfume should have. If someone need better longevity and projection Villoresi offers Uomo Extra and EDP. Uomo is my favorite along with Aventus, Balafre, Invasion Barbarian, CC X, GIT and Epic.

I have been looking for a citrus type scent for the coming Spring/Summer and have been wearing Lorenzo Villoresi Uomo from a sample and it's simply wonderful. Imagine if you are in the Mediterranean where a Italian garden full of fruit, shrubs and flowers is overlooking the ocean. As this opens with a citrus which has a kiss of herbal spice that leads into this earthiness. After a while you start to experience a white musk within the composition which helps lift the fragrance out of the herbal earthiness. What I find amazing for a earthy citrus scent is how complex and multi-faceted this fragrance is as it has real depth. When you smell it you are picking up many different aspects to it at once. You could spend a week wearing it everyday and still be surprised by picking up a new nuance to the scent. From the refreshing citrus herbal spice which leads to a earthiness and herb spices comes the white musk that lifts the composition to the skys this scent is wonderful. This has been tested from a vial and the longevity is average but for me this is a MUST BUY and a rare Summer/Spring scent that has complexity and depth. You will not get bored with this one as it is a million miles away from the average generic Spring/Summer scent that fills the shelves. A big big thumbs up from me and I have somehow got to get this one.:thumbup:

I really love this one. Starts with a fairly good dose of citrus but almost immediately transforms into a spice and bay leaf vibe, and then settles into spice and wood base notes. The woody note in the base that is most noticeable is rosewood. Really beautifully blended fragrance that reminds me of the vibe of some of the 80s vintage Italian masterpieces like Missoni Uomo or Azzaro. The only downside with this fragrance is that the performance isn't great. I think longevity is moderate to weak and sillage is very intimate. So over-spraying is basically a must. Overall, a find for me and one I can see myself buying.

Uomo by Lorenzo Villoresi is a perfume that carry you to Italy. This is one of the smell that makes you feel like a man. Opens with a citrus, than quickly comes in the bay leaf, and in the background you can feel the pepper , very natural smell. After a while It begins to outline a sour and salty profile vibe. This is the time when you tink "I am in Italy now." It is quite unique and beautiful. ~Citrus and spicy all the way~ This is like a man should smell! But because it stay on me only 3 hours and sits close to the skin I give Uomo - Lorenzo Villoresi an 8 | 10!

This is the best Lorenzo Villoresi perfume I've tried so far. Even though marketed and named towards males, females also could pull this off very easily. It started as a classic male fougere with citrus and aromatics, but the magic happens in the heart part, where it's fantastic combo of spicy and warm clove and bay leaf + various fresh spices. You just have to smell the perfect playfullness of the notes, Lorenzo Villoresi "UOMO" indeed is warm and fresh and spicy and sweet. Very complex and very unique. Truly niche. A masterpiece.

A spicy-aromatic fragrance of superb quality; fresh, uplifting, and perfect for spring and summer. While there are cheaper alternatives, few can match the quality of materials and craftsmanship found here. LV as house is a hidden gem. Edit: Nothing feels so naturally bracing as this. The genre might be done to death, but few entries are this good!

Phenomenal summer/spring fragrance. Lemon heavy but not zesty, a little more sweet and the Elemi really shines. Think of Eau Sauvage but niche and more complex. The dry down is incredible, can’t stop smelling it off my skin. Longevity is not the best, but that’s to be expected from a fragrance of this type Smell 10/10 Performance 7/10

I have three others from LV but never tried this one until today. I couldn’t buy the bottle fast enough at the only place in the entire USA that carries the line. If a guy only wanted one fragrance of medium intensity but highly complex with supreme wearability, this could be the one. Spectacular in all ways, 10/10.

A strong, persistent thread of bitter orange defines the journey from top through the middle. The structure is compelling but would gain greater classical shadow with deeper oakmoss or vetiver in the base. The orange persistence likely comes from neroli + petitgrain + orange rind terpenes, acting together.

A citrus herbal bomb on opening which smells natural and fantastic to me. Okay thereafter the performance isn't great but it isn't terrible either. Just respray. Masculine, 40+, smart casual vibe. Suspect this might not go with hoodies or jogging pants. 4/5

A wonderful citrus loaded with aromatics and spices in an impeccably smooth blend. Comfortable and easy to wear with lots of class. It also shows lots of details when you turn your attention towards it.

A classic italian citrus aromatic that has a little bit of an 90s aerosol deodorant vibe. Quite bitter, but in the best possible way.

The perfect summer fragrance, masculne,, longlasting and very classy

A very business formal, elegant black suit and tie fragrance. In spite of its sharp spiciness, it keeps its cool. It does not betray any emotion. Upon initial application, I smell lemon and cedar, with the "granite" facets of cedar being particularly prominent. I also get lavender and rosemary, and a fair dose of eugenol (cloves, bay). Somewhere into the dry down I get more defined cloves, bitter herbs and slightly soapy, stemmy, green terpenic yet sweet orange flower. There is a premonition of vetiver. A hint cool powdery talc of sandalwood and a hint of dark patchouli forms a base against which the aromatics and spices (mainly clove) rest. I love this composition because the cloves never overpower the herbs, and vice versa. The balance is so perfect that it's hard to identify the boundary between herbs and spices. The "cool" sandalwood is really the perfect base for this understated fragrance. I would put this one up there with Chanel Platinum Egoiste. This scent shares its profile with the style of Santa Maria di Novella as well (a sort of cold potpourri character). I would prefer this one in spring/fall, and not so much in the summer (the sandalwood just sours and the aromatics evaporate too quickly). Bravo.

This really is a good and special niche perfume for a sophisticated man. It gave me the impression of the opening that you get when you use Acqua di Parma Colonia. It gives you like Colonia the feeling of the 1920's with its Jugend-style art and culture but with a modern twist. Your travelling through a range of notes from all over the world and still has that Italian touch. It opens with a very prominent herbal-lavender mix.Like Colonia it has a bit a soapy kind of opening but more herbal like. Vetiver, bay leaf and lavender are prominent tones. Then it opens to the Bergamot-citric range what is very unusual for an Italian perfume because it mostly opens with this notes. The clove coriander mix pops through all these notes even in the dry down. Sage, thymine and junipers come through down to the end. Its a complex of notes that gives you a very clean and sophisticated feeling. It is complexer compared with the acqua di Colonia of this brand, that has the same range. This perfume is very classy and yes it is perfect to wear on formal occasions. It is especially fitting for middle-aged and older sophisticated men. The silage is good and the longevity is about 4-6 hours. yes it is a nice classy niche perfume.

It starts with massive beautiful, high-quality blast of citruses, spices, and herbal notes of lavender, sage, laurel, and juniper. It shows great potential in the first few minutes, and you expect a beautiful development into the middle and base notes. The fragrance evaporates so incredibly fast on the skin that you don't even have enough time to appreciate its full beauty before it’s gone. It feels like a great prelude that gets cut short right at the most interesting part. The longevity is next to nothing, it literally disappears within 20–30 minutes on me. Unfortunately its performance is below the lowest standard of a cheap cologne. To put it in perspective, even Dior Eau Sauvage EDT feels like a beast mode fragrance compared to this.

At one point, I used to own Uomo but sold it as I eventually thought it smelled too austere and dated like most Villoresi's. Today, I decided to retry an old sample I had, and to my surprise, I'm enjoying Uomo all over again. Uomo reminds me of Eau Sauvage Extreme, but a lot more refined, more natural, more woodsy, with subtle nuances of lemony smoke. But what really separates Uomo from dozens of Eau Sauvage copycats is the Rosewood. Here, it is the star of the show ( along with Vetiver ) and it is beautifully done and in tune with the rest of the notes, like a well-composed symphony. It's a pity it doesn't project much and performance is rather on the fleeting side. Still, one can’t help but appreciate its Italian craftsmanship.

This herbal, spicy, musky fragrance comes as close to perfection in this style as possible. I’m willing to bet all the rest of Villoresi’s fragrances are just as good in their own ways. If Roja had drawn inspiration from a single fragrance for Scandal, I think this would have been it. This is essentially a slightly more herbal version of Scandal, Bayleaf coming through more prominently, and a touch more dry. There is a more prominent musk as it begins to dry, and it wears somewhat lighter and more mature, whereas Scandal presents a more playful character. به عنوان فردی که دوستدار کارهای لورنزو ام و چندین کارش رو دارم الان به این نتیجه رسیدم که خریدن کارهای اون ریختن پول تو جوی اب خیابان است.یعنی اینکه اگر کارهای اون رو فقط برای دل خودتون می خواهید یعنی فقط خودتون باید بینیتون رو بچسبونید به دستتون تا از بوش لذت ببريد عاليند.اما اگر به مفهومی که از ادوکلن می خواهید یعنی پخش و ماندگاری هم داشته باشند تا دیگران هم در لذت شما شریک باشند اصلا سراغشون نريد.چون باید بقیه رو تو اغوش بگیرید تا به زحمت متوجه رایحه اون شوند.جالبه چند روز پیش با اینکه امکان خرید چند تا دیگه از کارهایش رو با قیمت بسیار بسیار مناسب یعنی به همان قیمت دلار ۴ هزار تومن داشتم خوشبختانه اصلا سمتشون نرفتم.

It's a cologne (albeit a superb one), so by design performance is along those lines. However, longevity is longer than initially thought. It lingers quite nicely. I would not call Uomo dated. I would call it deep and anchoring. The citrus opening is a superb citrus grove followed by vetiver, sandalwood and light spices. It has a leather-y feel, although there's no leather in the notes. There is no rosewood (it is not mentioned on the Villoresi website). I think it's the dryness of the sandalwood that might give that impression. This type of dry sandalwood is the type frequently used by the house.

خدا لعنت كند اين لورنزو ولورسي رو.لعنتي بهترين رايحه ها را مي سازد اما حاضر نيست اندكي روي افزايش ماندگاری و به خصوص پخش رایحه کارکند. .اومو رایحه ای بسیار خوش بو اما با ماندگاری حدود نیم ساعت روی پوست من و بدتر از همه پخش بو در حد اسکین سینت Skin scent بايد دستتان را با چسب به بینی بچسبانید تا بوی ان را حس کنید.یربامات در مقایسه با این پخشش خیلی بهتر است.واقعا حیف از این رایحه عالی با این ماندگاری و پخش افتضاح.بايد به کایای عزیز بگویم بعد از یک ربع متوجه هیچ چیز نخواهیم شد چون اثری از انچه زده اید بعد از یک ربع دیگر وجود ندارد

Truly a niche perfume!! Would suit an older gentleman. Open with a very natural, fresh, realistic, citrusy notes. Almost as if you rub a Kaffir lime leaf to your nose, and accompany by listed herbs and a hint noticeable bay leaf. I appreciated this only after many affairs with other exotic woodsy, aquatic and green fragrances. This is on its own league with an aesthetical novelty only be comparable by other Villoresi's collections. A scent of the scent makers.

A beautiful fresh/spicy/flowery fragrance. On my skin the lemon, bay leaf, bergamot, pepper are the most dominant. I can smell vetiver, and some musk too. All this with beautiful flowers in the background. A really fresh and rather masculine scent for every occasion. Unfortunately there are two negative things I need to mention. It sits close to the skin, and longevity could be better (on my skin). Anyways I can only recommend this fragrance!

Classic, timeless Italian perfumery. The most beautiful natural citruses, underpinned by aromatic spices at their finest. If you suddenly find one day that you have grown tired of the artificial, saccharine, man-child fragrances that permeate modern society, then seek refuge in Villoresi Uomo. This is the scent of the realised man, as he is in spring and summertime.

This is a quite light but absolutely lovely gleaming herb fling. It is more of an EDC than EDT with about 3 hours total duration, it fades to a skin scent after an hour. The opening reminds me of the herb bomb Torino 21 but this is masterfully balanced with the spices and woods.

This is what Agua Brava SHOULD smell like. I don't know what's different other than presumably the quality of the ingredients because the notes smell identical but LV Uomo smells well-blended, interesting, and sophisticated while AG smells like disgusting chemicals.

Main notes to me are lemon and bay leafs, a mediterranean feel, sunny citrusy herbaceous and spicy. Classic gives the feeling of the beautiful days of simplicity during a quiet summery day before noontime. Imagine.

A murky, sexy, but decidedly old school aromatic. Uomo opens with soapy bergamot, lemon and lots of rosewood. A fuzzy conflation of aromatic notes hovers in the background before rising up as the perfume develops in a spicier and mossier direction, punchy and earthy. Really rosewood should be listed more prominently in the note pyramid as it underscores everything, overlaid with the classic aromatic top notes of lavender, rosemary and sage. Masculinité du Bois, anyone? Those robust fougère-like aromatics blended with the woodiness befit Uomo 's blunt name. And as with others from this house the journey doesn't end there. The grassy vetiver becomes more pronounced as it develops and it dries very pleasant, the bay leaf taking a surprising lead. So probably a polariser. From rather plain soapy, woody citrus through a slightly thuggish fougère and finally to smooth, herbal vetiver. Bright enough for day wear. If you're looking for a woody, traditional masculine, and those notes appeal, this is worth a test.

A nice citrus cologne with the Villoresi trademark of very natural smelling herbs and spices. Uomo smells somewhat multi-faceted but it's so light, this makes little difference. It says eau de toilette on the bottle, but the performance is that of a cologne and Uomo is best thought of as one. A definition of my Ok rating. Sad to say, after sampling six Villoresis I find only Theseus worth of attention.

This is an everyday fresh spicy men fragrance. Good, balanced but nothing out of the ordinary. Also I dont like the bay leaf in here. There are cheaper alternatives to this kind of scents.

This stuff is quite an herbal assault. Natural-smelling? Yes. Italian-smelling? Yes. Old-world-smelling? Yes. But it made me envision rancid lemon peels plus militant nostril-searing lavender...a very bitter combination. For just a little while in the top, I was reminded of the bleach that I used last night to get my whites their whitest. The strength dies off rather quickly, and by quite a bit. By the time Uomo is in the background, I can sort of see its appeal. It gets less sharp and slightly more sweet, with a desert-shrubby aspect; in fact it smells like the flowers of some plants that are blooming around my apartment complex right now, which is not entirely a compliment. For me Uomo was just obtrusive and uncomfortable.

When I was much much younger (but still equally attractive of course) I had a thing for the green Adidas deodorant and shower gel, even back then I always thought it was really really synthetic but that it smelled very traditional masculine, green and a bit sporty indeed. So imagine my surprise when I picked up Uomo in a bargain deal and it instantly transported me back to my green Adidas days. See, the problem with scent association is that once your mind established the link it's very hard to imagine or smell it any different although objectively the differences are noticeably there. I guess it comes down to the core vibe and scent being very reminiscent to the drydown of the green pressured can. Of course Uomo is much more high quality, there is no synthetic feel and the ingredients appear to be top notch. Uomo also has much more alive and dynamic phases. So in the end -to my nose- I bought a more expensive green adidas. Justifiable because the big difference between this and adidas is that it eliminates all the bad things and provides you bonus features. It's a definitive upgrade and worth the money. You will smell like a man, you will smell fresh, you will smell sporty and you will smell good. Excellent fragrance but sadly it's true : longevity and sillage are seriously trying to crash the party. 8,5/10

Petitgrain...a boatload of petitgrain in the opening of Uomo, at least to my nose. This is a very nice barbershop scent. The citrus opening which mostly smells of petitgrain to me is nice, and then the green starts to come out. This is obviously well made. The only problem I have with it is it's brevity. It just doesn't last very well, about 2.5 hours on me. But, the smell is top notch. Uomo by Villoresi is what Concentrae d Orange Vert wanted to be in it's little B.O. heart when it grew up. They are very similar from the citrus green standpoint, but where CDOV smells just like body odor to me, Uomo shines like a sparkling citrus grove with just the right blend of other green notes fused into it's composition. I also smell some similarities to Acqua Di Parma Colonia Essenza from the soapy barbershopy vibe that comes through at the end of Uomo's far too short life. He burned bright, but he burned out quickly...that sums up the enjoyable briefness of Uomo.

When I first looked at the price tag, I was floored. But after some hesitation, I decided to take the plunge, and I didn't regret it. Uomo is the quintessential masculine fragrance. It is a Mediterranean delicacy loaded with spices. And what spices... Uomo is incisively sharp yet it doesn't burn your nose, it's rather decidedly astringent. Though one may have a different judgement about it after a first encounter, eventually it turns out as a remarkably complex blend. Still, the most gripping quality about Uomo is that this is the kind of perfume that you will enjoy wearing day after day, regardless of circumstances and occassions.

I guess I somewhat disagree with the previous reviews. There is no sharpness with this fragrance, nor is there much if any astringency. Yes, this is akin to a traditional eau, but everything is well rounded, smooth, slightly warm, moderately spicy. This fragrance is a nice everyday scent done virtually to perfection. An Italian masterpiece? Perhaps. Longevity is an issue, so spray on your clothing instead of your skin. Still, it takes about 5 spritzes to make this last most of the day. This is a great fragrance. Also note that there is an EdP concentration of this available (even more expensive though). Cheers.

A nice vetiver/spicy/bay leaf fragrance. On my skin the vetiver, bay leaf and pepper are the most dominant, with vetiver being the strongest. I would say this fragrance leans towards being more masculine than feminine and consider it a scent for every occasion. This scent sits close to the skin, and longevity could be better. Can wear in office environment and would not offend anyone. Reminds me allot of Tom Ford Grey Vetiver (but with a bay and pepper touch).

First impressions: LV Uomo is basically a luxury version of Pino Sylvestre/Acqua di Selva, with a hint of the clean/dirty bathroom feel you get in something like Kouros or Brut. Like with other luxury equivalents of affordable fragrances (e.g., Duc de Verveines a la Extreme/Drakkar Noir; Esencia de Loewe/Jaguar For Men), I enjoy this, but would not want to pay full retail or even discounted prices. Will update if my opinion changes.

I found this by searching "Firenze" into Fragrantica because I've got a great handsoap that says Firenze on it. Well this is nothing like the handsoap. It is the traditional Italian summer-citrus scent, and I pick up some smoke in the opening and more lavender off the bat than I prefer. Performance is mediocre, you'll have to overspray to get compliments. Not a groundbreaking fragrance, but well-polished. I'd pay $50 a bottle.

Very nice smell,i always search for these herbal aromatic earthy fragrance. It's cooling without citrus except for the begining. Sage and vetiver took all the place to my nose,this mix is very appealing,vetiver is hidden behind sage. Unique,long lasting(6+ hours),moderate projection. Suitable for spring and fall,casual and formal. A naturel Aroma!

A very herbal citrus green scent. The basenotes do a good job of making sure the citrus doesn't fade out. Making this citrus scent more tenacious. I liken it somewhat to Annick Goutal's Eau De Hadrien due to the lemon and herbal combination. A great summer choice or even in the winter when you want a pick me up.

I am puzzled by the other reviews. The other notes struggle to exist under the lemon carpet bombing. It's a good smell but that's way too much lemon.

This is so beautifully balanced, musically harmonious, aromatically calming, that all I can say is,un vero gentiluomo. 10 outa 10 for this un.
