Moroccan Iris

Wow, no reviews for this perfume?. Ok well I’ll gladly be the first. This is a review based on a 2ml sample but I will be purchasing a full bottle soon . I love this one, At first spray you’ll think it’s nothing special and quite boring but wait a few minutes and this one opens up so beautifully. It’s unlike anything else I own and I own over 400 bottles of 90% Niche perfumes. The cherry is very prominent at first and stays through the life of this scent, it’s also so beautiful and realistic, then the violet comes in, I don’t get any jasmine, then later I get the orris, cinnamon and last the cedar, the cedar shows up in the very end. The orris in here is not the powdery lipstick kind either, it’s blended so nicely. Sillage is pretty good, longevity on me is a few hours then it’s a skin scent but I have the kind of skin that just drinks up scents and nothing lasts long on me, a few hrs is all I ever get. And this one gave me at least that much before becoming a skin scent. I’m impressed. It should last all day on others. I have to admit I have never been a fan of this house, everything I’ve sampled before I’ve disliked or been unimpressed with but this one is a love. Awe that cherry combined with cinnamon and violet is sooo nice. I think I’ll give Lorga perfumes another chance. I’m off to buy a bottle now. I’ll see if I can get more samples of other perfumes they have. Like I always say, sample first. But if you love a realistic cherry note combined with some florals and cinnamon, you will adore this perfume. The cherry, not the Iris, is the star. At least for the first couple of hours. Very very nice.

POW this is sour cherry and baby powdery orris, Unique yet divine. This is the refined and rounded version of Mancera’s Wild Cherry. Although I find the cherry in Moroccan Iris is a sour cherry wear as Wild Cherry has a sweeter (synthetic) cherry. Powerhouse performance. Sour cherry lingers on clothes. Softens to orris on skin I bought a bottle!

9/10 J'adore, une magnifique cerise poudrée par la racine d'iris et la violette. Performance nucléaire il remplit une pièce je ne m'y attendais pas du tout. Il me fait penser à Putain des Palaces de Etat Libre d'Orange, l'une de mes fragrances préférées, pour ce côté "odeur de maquillage." Grand parfum.

Quelle référence incroyable.... le beurre d'iris, la cerise de sefrou... un parfum extrêmement qualitatif !!!! A ne pas tester rapidement. Prenez le temps de réaliser plusieurs essais. C'est un parfum pour un public averti. Et une fragrance exceptionnelle

Moroccan Iris is another of my many iris samples in my odyssey to find an iris-dominant scent to rival Serge Lutens Iris Silver Mist. It is proving to be a quest worthy of a Greek hero. This scent, while pleasant, is more of a powdery cherry scent. The violet-iris accord here is reminiscent of lipstick/vintage make-up compacts, and isn't the focal point. However, this is a really decent scent in its own right that makes good use of its iris note. MI opens with sweet, slightly syrupy cherry. Cherry is a difficult note to get right, being both girlishly gourmand and reminiscent of cough syrup. It tends to be at its best when bolstered by powdery notes and/or almond. Here, the lipstick-y iris-violet tempers it beautifully, keeping things dry and powdery. I get a little spice as it develops. Woody notes emerge as it dries down, while the orris becomes slightly more prominent - powdery and rooty. It remains part of the lipstick-y violet accord, but comes into its own as it develops. It fades to a powdery, woody skin scent with some cherry remaining. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is a feminine-leaning year-round scent. A nicely-balanced, powdery cherry-lipstick scent, MI is dry and not too sweet. It is only disappointing because I'm looking for an iris soliflore and it is a bit of a misnomer. Grown-up cherry that doesn't take itself too seriously. 4/5.

I didn’t love this at first. It starts off with a slightly powdery cherry. Pleasant, but not almost $300 pleasant. Then the cinnamon starts creeping in to give it some depth and the buttery orris really starts coming out to give it a smooth and velvety texture. I still won’t pay retail for this but if it ever goes on sale or I find it on the grey market I’ll be snapping it up immediately. Sillage: 8/10 Longevity: 9/10 Leans feminine in my opinion.

Okay not exactly my favourite from this house. As said, the cherries are first and foremost in your face. They are covered in waxy, lipsticky iris. Soft, powdery and waxy. A very very strange combination of scents. Then, the cherry note starts to grow medicinal and powdery. Not really the kinda scent I want. It came off as very one-dimensional. At $400 CAD, I want something like their offering of Ambre Platine.

Starts out very typical lipstick Iris scent with a very faint hint of sour cherry only when I lean in close to sniff my wrist. The sour cherry scent is more noticeable in 30 minutes, but sillage of the cherry is fairly intimate.

I love iris scents, and this...is definitely not that. The name Moroccan Iris is criminally misleading, as there’s no iris here. This is straight-up cherry lipstick. And I hate cherry, so I certainly don’t cherr-ish this fragrance. In fact, there is nothing about this fragrance that inspires jubilee or jubilance. Rather, I despise it. This is singularly one of the worst perfumes I've ever smelled in my life. It’s...the pits (pun very much intended). Cough syrup in a bottle, Moroccan Iris is repugnant and nausea-inducing. It’s highly reminiscent of Tom Ford fragrances – which is to say that it comes across as cheap, unnuanced, and an immediate scrubber. Scrub-a-dub-dub, get this shit off me. In five words or less: Morocc-NO.

Super violet forward with syrupy cherry. It's powdery with a super strong iris butter undertone, it's slightly spicy as well with the cinnamon note. To sum up, the perfume is very sweet, woody and a bit deeper in the scent, spicy. It may be super weird to smell as the iris butter is strong, and mixed with the woody accords it gives that "lipstick" scent. I must say it's quite an interesting discovery, but sadly must agree with the majority of the comments.

After paying $22 for a 2ml sample, I was hoping I’d want to add this as a FB to my collection but as with others I’ve tried from this house, I find them overpriced and underwhelming. The smell itself is nice, I enjoy the cherry in this, I get it more than the iris which is what I was wanting, however this has very little projection. It has decent longevity but it doesn’t leave a trail more than an hour and the trail is on the shy side at that. The scent is nice, but it’s rather boring. I keep trying to make this house work for me, I even blind bought Ambre Platine a few years ago and sold it immediately because of the same issues... pleasant smell but lacking projection and wow factor. For $300 I expect more. I feel like the money here is spent more on the nice looking bottles. I’ve tried almost all of them now and if I happen to stumble across the other 2 new ones from the line (santal sugar & nectar) I’d give them a sniff but I’m done paying high prices for their samples that are just meh. If this scent was more powerful, I would add it to my collection. The cherry iris combo is lovely, but too fleeting for me. I would also like to add it is warm weather currently where I am. I have half the sample left and I will retest on a cooler day and update my review if anything changes.

First of all, I want to stand up and give a clap to this house because they are the first house who think to make Iris perfume with a new idea and they did not make it a makeup smell like the rest of the brands in these days when you hear the name of the Iris perfume first thing will come up in your brain is makeup smell,we saw that with: 1.iris Poudre by Frederic malle. 2. iris de Syracuse by Boucheron exclusive line. 3. iris porcelain by ex nihlio. 3. iris fauv by atelier des ors. 4. iris dragees by Lancome . all of these perfumes have the same type of smell and they are around the smell of the makeup or rough. Moroccan Iris by Lorga Parfums is the first perfume given Iris with a new suite OMG I can't stop sniffing this bright, beautiful,sofisctcated, complex, and stunning creation. when you smell you will get a cherry candy iris then it will settle down to the same smell but with a combination of cinnamon and sandalwood to make it rich and thick. I give advice for all Iris lovers to try this fabulous creation because you will forget about the previous old line of Iris perfumes. Longavity:8 hours. sillage: 9/10. projection: 8/10. Overall: 9/10.

For all those YouTubers out there that make a living with their nose, I got something for you to review: Cherry Kool-Aid Iris aka Moroccan Iris. You might conclude that this smells more grape than cherry. No argument from me. It could pass as both. If you know about the famed flavored drink mix then you're already familiar with the smell; light and tangy with artificial erubescent flavors on a tight frame. This iris is full of requisite glam and the kind of fragrance you have to smell through your mind. Not one to be imprisoned by industry formulas, Moroccan Iris makes it's mark by rising above those patronizing clichés. Somehow this manages to be playful but never juvenile. When grown-ups decide to have fun, this is what it smells like. The leading note of cherry is palpable, powdery and balanced all while being outlined with barely there violets and warmth. The sour feeling in Moroccan iris is similar to the sour feeling in Galliano. Both have a sour feeling as well as cosmetics. sourness? This is a beautiful perfume. But I can't give up the cough syrup in the opening. I can't wait until the cough syrup feeling wears off. An interesting iris approach. at least it's not ordinary .. should not be taken without trying. Is it worth the expensive price? I think no
