I honestly don't like the opening on this one too much - is rich and slightly mysterious but it's also bit chaotic and sharp before it settles into a more creamy, warm scent with a seductive depth. My experience with Loris perfumes is that they often benefit from some maturing and I think this one will too. I'm testing it in warm weather and I suspect it will behave differently when it's cooler. It doesn't smell like a generic sweet perfume; there is enough darkness and sophistication to keep it interesting, but the spicy warmth I was hoping for is muted - I hope it's weather related. Rum and leather is not prominent on me, cardamom sticks for quite a while during the development before it turns to a more woody scent with a hint of incense and subtle spices in the background. I think it fits autumn and winter evenings, dates and occasions where you want something noticeable without smelling overly loud. Perfectly unisex, skin scent after 6 hours on me. I'll try it again later after some maturing and cooler weather. I see it's compared to Initio Side Effect, but I haven't tried it, so I can't compare them.
