Nuit des Sens

a cold and "distant" dry incense with base of vetiver and pepper (with trace of iso e ). dark but very nice, smooth and comfortable to wear also in summer. but longlivety and siliage below average. it reminds me a lot of kenzo air.

nice scent close to carbone de balmain! Very unique scent to wear! Now discontinued? PS who was the perfumer?

Dark, rich, woody scent,- prima!

Was lucky enough to be persuaded by a sales lady to take the last bottle on the shelf at a ridiculously low price a while ago. Dark, different and perfect to wear for an evening to a restaurant. The design of the bottle is nice too.

Agree with Ulysses: "slightly watered" and don't agree with others - not dark. Fresh pepper-woody fougere. Don't feel leather. Good: no synthetic aura for this price. Nice design bottle.

Outstanding Mens Incense/smokey vetiver. Dark, ethereal and menacing. This is the perfect scent for a night out to a dark restaurant or theater. It is a definate cousin to Encre Noir, Sycamore, and also Carbone by Balmain. I bought it with the hopes it would be like KenzoAir, and it's really not. But I adore KenzoAir and have yet to find an equal to it. Nevertheless, this is really amazing stuff. Worth the search and the price (although it's driven up due to low supply/high demand curve of the market.) 8.5/10

This scent has beautiful opening. Strong and manly vetiver with strong black peper and mild incense. It even leaves oily stain on the skin but after 1-1,5 hours is a faint skin scent and all I get is faint vetiver. Sillage/projection are also low-moderate.

Would somebody please go and tell the folks at Louis Feraud that they were onto something special with Nuit des Sens. Somehow this potentially great scent was abandoned and seems illogical given its inherantly fine quality. I at one time dreamed of an edp version to be released , but to no avail. We did get a lighter form of Nuit des Sens. Yes you read correctly a lighter version , when the natural progression would have been a stronger formulation. As it is , Nuit des Sens is a beautiful creation. I rarely say that about any of fragrances. Just a seamlessly well blended scent that captures the effortless style and elegance of a gentleman. P.S If anybody at LF is reading this review, do us all a favor and release an edp ok .....

To me, this smells closer to comme des garcons wonderwood, than encre noir. Which is a good thing. Cheaper than wonderwood, and in a larger size. Unfortunately, just like wonderwood, it wears fairly close to the skin, and does not last for more than a few hours.

To me,it smell mostly (exactly) like Chanel Sycomore...well,a slightly watered down version,but it's a good perfume at great price. Sillage and longevity are medium. Very nice.

Recebi hoje. Surpresa!!! Superior ao expectável. Recomendo vivamente para uma saída formal, particularmente no outono. ****
