The Scent Journey Excluding the initial 2 to 5 minutes, this actually falls on the calmer end of the oud spectrum. However, it will give you a headache if you spray it in a small, enclosed space; you get a very heavy dose of perfume oil with every spray. The opening might leave a harsh first impression if your nose hasn't adapted to traditional ouds, which may put a lot of testers off. Don't let this initial blast turn you away! That animalic opening is truly just meant to set the foundation. It paves the way for the sweet, warm notes of mandarin and cinnamon that beautifully balance out the deep, leathery labdanum and oud. The Vibe & Performance It is a heavy fragrance, so definitely don't wear it to the gym or on grocery runs. This is strictly a dinner date, poker night, or evening house party scent. It perfectly captures the vibe of being at a luxury beach resort on the Red Sea—imagine sitting down for a huge dinner with family and friends, watching the sun set over the water. It lasts incredibly long and has massive projection. I prefer not to overwhelm the room, so my sweet spot is about 1 to 1.5 sprays on the back of the neck (aiming for the traps), and maybe one spray on the lower back or my left arm. Don't listen 'not summer' people this would be amazing at a late night breezy summer evening/ outdoor party... Once that animalic opening fades, you are left with a gorgeous, glowing amber dry-down. gives me ferrari interior with ur arab gf inside vibes. 😂 and it lasts on your clothes, not annoyingly, but reminiscently... Between the warm mandarin, the rich resins, and the deep oud, the fragrance perfectly matches the sunset they were trying to bottle. literally spend a sunset/ night at an Aqaba beach resort and you'll know he nailed.... thats why i say its also say def a summer fragrance 9.7/10

Im here in the states and managed to snag a 2ml sample from a friend. This is not a loud fragrance by any means. Compared to any in the Middle Eastern LV line definitely the least attention getting. I like Amber notes however for me they arent strong so I wouldnt say this is as beast mode as the more Oud heavy Ombre Nomade, Les Sables Roses or Fleur du Desert (and the disgusting Nuit de Feu). To me this has a weaker sillage than Grand Soir or Ambre Nuit (not talking about Esprit). The most apparent notes other than the Amber are the pepper and incense. The Mandarin you get is at the start, an accurate description of the top note; think of an Orange scented wood polish and thats what youre getting. Not an overly sweet citrus and pretty photorealistic; it disappears pretty fast. Within the first 10-15 minutes I'd say. This is one I am going to have to come back to. Personally I am used to having really smelly smells from JCB at LV so to smell this and not get that usual dopamine rush is a bit disappointing. This isnt bad, or polarizing, just not wowing or amazing. Editing this post as I have now given it a full wear, not just a spray on my skin: Its good, its incensey, its mandarin forward with a much longer projection of Citrus than I put in my initial post. Still not as Oud forward. This is an actual sleek blend. Unisex but the smoked citrus and incense makes it masculine. Hours later you smell the Labdanum. I shouldnt have doubted JCB in my initial smell. He knocked it out of the park. Final edit: I retract any negative talk that may have been percieved in my original post. This is such a versatile wear. Day or Night. Hot (maybe not, warm yes) or Cold. This could be my next LV pick up.

Another work of art from Jacques Cavallier. I immediately purchased this two weeks ago when it released here in Doha at Vendome in mid January. I put this up there in my LV top three of Ombre Nomade, Nouveau Monde and Myriad. Unfortunately I'm disappointed that the oud is nonexistent here, but this is a lovely combination of rose, yellow mandarin, bergamot, sandalwood, cinnamon and pepper. For all those that are perfumers like me, this has a noticeable amount of ambrettolide and ambergris t in the base which gives it a beautiful drydown. The opening on the first few wears is a noticeable spritz of pepper that transitions into cinnamon after five or so minutes. (After the first few wears, the pepper is no longer noticeable as all you really smell in the opening is the cinnamon, bergamot, mandarin and rose.) After about ten minutes, you smell the bergamot, mandarin, cinnamon with hints of rose and sandalwood in the background. Ever since Ambre Levant released, it's been my daily wear with Ombre Nomade. I wear it on all occasions just like I do Ombre Nomade or Nouveau Monde, whether gym, office, at home by myself, etc. I do about 6 to 8 sprays on skin and clothes like I do with all my fragrances and I get a solid 4 hours from Ambre Levant. The highlight is that this last way longer than Myriad and the reformulation of Ombre Nomade. Another work of art from the master himself.

Bought this today and I’m glad I read the reviews beforehand or I would have left the store disgusted and I would have never of gotten to enjoy this as much as I currently am. I was luckily prepared for the opening, I don’t do animatic or overly challenging and the opening of Ambre Levant is absolutely disgusting to a point of me being close to gagging, it is so gross! Thank god it only lasts for a couple minutes, it really does dissipate very quickly and then you can experience the beauty that is Ambre Levant. It’s not as dense or heavy as Ombré Nomad but has a lighter feeling and the mandarin is def noticeable and lightens up the composition beautifully. I wanted to make sure I liked it before purchasing so I sprayed my wrist and went about the shopping I needed to do and couldn’t stop smelling my wrist and getting whiffs of this beautiful smell. By the time I finished doing my shopping I knew I needed to buy this and now I’m busy smelling myself constantly while writing this. This is something you cannot judge on the first few minutes cause it’ll send you running out of the store looking for a toilet to throw up in, give it some time cause it turns into an addictive frag. I can only think that it was necessary for the opening to be what it is so the fragrance could develop into what it becomes or why would anybody purposely make a LV frag open like it does!?!?!?!?

Got this yesterday. It’s absolutely stunning. Easily deserving of a place in Louis Vuitton’s dark bottle “Journey to the Middle East” line—oriental, enigmatic, and deeply powerful. It makes its presence known without ever becoming overwhelming. Distinct and unmistakable, yet refined. It draws attention effortlessly without crossing into excess. Best of all, it lasts all day on both skin and fabric, wrapping around you like a warm, comforting veil—one that leaves those around you quietly intrigued. The oud here is notably different from what you find in Ombre Nomade or Les Sables Roses. It’s beautifully balanced with amber, cinnamon, and frankincense, resulting in a scent profile that feels truly distinctive—very much in line with the signature style of Jacques Cavallier at his finest. While the opening—with hints of neroli and bergamot layered over that warm, spiced core—didn’t strike me as immediately captivating in the same way Ombre Nomade did, the drydown of Ambre Levant is nothing short of extraordinary. It’s where the fragrance truly comes alive, and where I completely fell for it. In my view, this is an exceptional creation and very likely another major success for Louis Vuitton.

While chatting with the sales associate in the store about the fragrance I was wearing, Ombre Nomade, he wanted me to try this new release. At first spray, I said “wow, this is very animalic, very challenging.” As it dried down, it softened and I thought, “meh, not bad, but with Ombre Nomade, I don’t need another dark fragrance,” and moved on. A month later, I tried it again and I was completely blown away. The opening is still a bit challenging, but after about 10 minutes it smells so incredible that I was honestly surprised — like, is this really the same fragrance I tried before? As it dries down, it becomes non-challenging, luxurious, rich, and extremely addictive — a scent that makes you want to keep smelling it. This definitely requires experience. It’s not suitable for someone casually testing Imagination and then saying “let me try this one too.” But for someone looking for something deep, luxurious, and serious, it’s amazing. I will definitely test it more, and if it continues to impress me, I’ll buy it — because lately, I haven’t come across many fragrances that create that true “wow” effect.

Reading some of the comments below is funny about this perfume being unreleased....well, let me tell you that this Ambre Levant is Dubai exclusive and already released in some of the middle eastern and asian muslim countries on last week 15th January itself! In my country here (Malaysia) it was already launched last week and I quickly went to the store to sniff it on that day and after first sniff itself i quickly grab it and wore it over the weekend. Now here's my genuine review: This is so so so good.... 🫠🫠 Its like you take the amber from Stellar Times mixed with ambergris from Pur Ambre added with oud wood.... last crazyy forever eternally!! Starting spray on skin a bit animalic oud but give it 15 mins later on drydown is so beautiful that I find it like stellar times made more masculine 💪🏼 well that sorta vibes if you get me but made more middle eastern way Is it a good or safe blindbuy? Definitely NOT....but once you love it, u will love it forever!! Fyi, it is same priced as Ombre Nomade and Les Sables Roses so the price is nothing ridiculous.

Oh my LAWD. This, in my opinion, is the best fragrance that Louis Vuitton has to offer. Ambre Levant was finally available for purchase in the LV Boutique near me and I immediately locked onto the bottle and didn’t hesitate to spray it on skin. The opening was extremely sharp and punchy with a hint of citrus and a heavy animalic Oud and leather tone. I walked around the boutique, and as time had passed (around 10 minutes) I smelled my hand again... and holy shit. It blew me away! The fragrance unfolds into an absolutely gorgeous amber and labdanum combo with some spicy, earthy tones. The cinnamon accord adds a bit of sweetness and depth and it’s stunning, it’s been about 9 hours since I sprayed it and bought my bottle and it’s still strong and beautiful. Imagine Roja PDLN but with a touch more sweetness and a ton more projection and longevity. Genuinely a 10/10. Much better and more wearable than Ombre Nomad, though not as strong. Overall very satisfied and is now my new favorite fragrance that LV has ever put on the table.

The opening on my skin is honestly scary. I don't notice it on paper that much, but on skin, even when you are ready for it with all the warnings, it's a fit wild. The first time I tried it in the store, I started wiping my hand immediately. Now I have a sample, and even when I know what to expect, it's still a bit shocking. The good part is that on me, the barnyard/poopy effect lasts around 10 minutes, which is good, but then at the end, you are paying almost 400 EUR to smell like literal poop. It's probably not for everyone. But then the fragrance settles into this incredible creamy scent, just incredible. If the opening wasn't this harsh, I would buy it on the spot. Projection and longevity seem insane as well, as they should for this type of fragrance. Overall, an incredible fragrance, probably not for everyone, including me. I will go through the sample in some colder months and see how it goes then.

Absolutely stunning. Jacques Cavallier keeps getting better with every LV release in this oriental collection. My only wish is to have at least one release in this collection each year, and for the brand to tone down the marketing to keep away unnecessary noise from the obviously non-target audience. I’ve been wearing this exclusively for the past few weeks ever since its pre-launch and it’s incredibly addictive, although I have to admit the opening could have been further polished. Also most people make the mistake of assuming that just because it’s an amber and has stuff like cinnamon , it’s meant for fall or winter. It actually works better on warm days, where the heat on skin helps unleash the mesmerising power of its base notes.. that’s pretty much the hidden beauty of most oud oils when paired with ambroxan!

I tried this in store earlier (UK) as these fragrance notes are a personal favourite of mine, this is a serious powerhouse. I’ll be honest, from first spray, it smells very similar to Myriad, a fragrance which never appealed to me given the animalic oud in it. Whilst this starts similar, it quickly transforms into an incredible scent, I really pick up the cinnamon/orange notes. Somehow, the fragrance just continues to evolve and get better and better, if you can get past the outset animalic linger, this really is a masterpiece. I’ll be going back into the store to pre-order later on! For anyone that needs the release detail, it releases on 05/03/26 in UK stores and 15/03/26 online.

This is a surprising non-mainstream release from LV. Its a little sweet, a little animalic, and a lot of oud. The ingredients are high quality, and I can not complain about the blend. Its a rather simple blend, but very stunning akin to Tom Fords Amber Absolute, however I like this one a lot more! The shitty dupehouses are gonna have a hard time with this one! Is it worth $400? No it is not, but its worth a hell of a lot more than the freshies that they released. Im going 8.75 on this one. By next fall, it should be well rested and even better. Im looking forward to wearing it then!

Just purchased today for the collection, the opening is as everyone says a touch anamalic and off putting to some definitely caught me off guard with still even going into it with the perception Of it being such. But 10 minutes in it devolves a little bit creamier which is nice and about an hour or two in the incense unfolds, it’s not a sweet syrupy amber really dark, would be a nice day time wear in some nice dry heat, the projection is not the strongest but it does the job. If I had the option between ombré nomade or this I’m taking ombré nomade

Super strong, but this is my kind of Oud. Not stinky and overbearing, not too sweet, just adds very nicely to the leather and animalic notes. Doesn’t smell like a barnyard as some other “animalic” fragrances do, just like a confident man at a formal event in the fall/winter. Very well blended and excellent longevity, as you would expect from the notes. If you don’t like when oud is super weirdly sweet or stinky, this could be worth testing. Super beautiful scent but the price is hard to justify. Could be right for the right person

I absolutely love it when the addition of ambergris adds this warm, pleasantly sweaty, skin element to a fragrance. This fragrance is a must have for me. Warm resinous incense and an elegant slightly animalic oudh are the stars of the show here. This fragrance has a mild amount of spice and is unisex. Enthusiasts who enjoy a bolder fragrance with rich depth and complexity will rejoice. This feels elevated. The blend is exquisite.

This is so f*cking good! Anyone describing this as cow shit smelling or barnyard smelling needs to get there nose checked out because this does not smell anything like that at all. It's wonderfully fresh yet deep, slightly dark. I'm not going to even to describe everything about this because this needs to be gate kept! My favorite from the Middle Eastern collection.

The opening is one of the worst fragrances I have ever smelt. But man does it evolve into something very nice after 20-30 minutes. It’s def not your typical oud but it isn’t a beginner oud either. I would strongly suggest anyone test it before buying it, however it’s a great fragrance and my favorite from the LV Oud line.

I don't like many ambers. Like others have said, the opening is not the most pleasant, but the dry down is FANTASTIC. Distinct and strong without being overwhelming. I've been doing one spray under my shirt before bed (keep the house at 68 degrees) and it gives the me an overall feeling of warmth, peace, and comfort.

This is actually a really good alternative to Amouage’s king blue! I like king blue better, and they aren’t entirely similar, but they both have a jammy marmalade-like orange note and a slightly animalic oud note. Really nice!!! But Ambre levant smells a tad bit more synthetic and designer-esque. Really nice!

I had to keep myself together and walk out of the LV store before I spent $500. I went in just to sniff their fragrances and came across this. My goodness why isn’t this hyped? Such an amazing fragrance. Currently saving to buy this. Like someone said in a post below the best LV fragrance imo.
