Apogée

I find this perfume very beautiful and not basic at all. I don't know why most people here seem to think so. To me, this is a beautiful and high quality white floral that centers around the lily of the valley, followed by the magnolia and the jasmine. It is mainly a green tinged white floral due to the lily of the valley, but the magnolia and the different types of citrus fruit in this of course add some citrusy tinges here and there that add a bit of freshness and juiciness to it, without turning it into Fairy Soap a la J'adore Infinissime, which was truly awful. I can smell a tiny hint of the rose in the heart notes and a small hint of the musk in the base notes, but it is very subtle to me. And the woody notes aren't present to my nose at all, which I don't mind, since I'm not a massive fan of woods. To me, a truly basic perfume would be those awful fruity florals scents that are so popular right now or worse, a saccharine sweet gourmand perfume. Those smell cheap and are incredibly cheap for perfumers to make, since the ingredients to make gourmand notes in perfume are exceedingly common and not at all rare, unlike a jasmine, a magnolia or a rose absolute. Floral notes are far more sophisticated and take a much more trained nose to properly understand all of its facets, as opposed to very linear and juvenile gourmands. Apogée had a moderate wear test of 5 hours and an arm's length sillage on my skin. It is a very feminine and romantic fragrance and anyone who likes florals (especially white florals) will love this! It is a reasonably realistic lily of the valley too, though Pur Muguet, Lucky and Diorissimo are still the best and my absolute favorite lily of the valley scents so far. It indeed has some of the basic scent personality that Lucky has, with a touch less greenness and realness than that one. I'd give it a 8/10 personally speaking. It really is lovely! The lavender painting I got on my bottles white cardboard box was beautiful as well and definitely a nicely added touch.

I find this perfume beautiful and truly my favorite of the whole line, other than Fleur du Dessert. That makes sense though, since I love my white florals and this is filled with them! It is a sumptuous and realistic smelling bouquet of jasmine, magnolia, rose and of course, lily of the valley! The lily of the valley is the star of the show and she really sings here in all of her green tinged and fresh glory. I feel very innocent and virginal while wearing this, like a beautiful young bride who is about to get married in a stunning white silk wedding dress. There are hints of musk and citrus too, but they are subtle and thankfully never overpower the bouquet of flowers in Apogée. I get medium sillage and moderate longevity from this, which is pretty good for a lily of the valley dominant fragrance. I got about 5 and a half hours of wear from it and I feel that it wouldn't be at all overpowering or too much to wear to work. It is perfect for both spring and summer and is a very feminine and pretty fragrance that isn't at all offensive. I feel that it is a safe blind buy for white floral lovers. It has an airy and fresh quality to it that smells very clean in the best way possible, like a dew dropped Easter morning. This reminds me most of both Lucky by Dior and Pur Muguet by Cartier, apart from the magnolia that you find in this and differentiates it from those two fragrances. The citrus notes make it a tiny bit different as well, eventhough they aren't the main story here. Altogether, I'd give this an 8.6/10. It's absolutely lovely and I am glad to have bought it!

As nobody took up the challenge i suggested in my earlier review (last year) of confronting Apogee with Guerlain Muguet 2016, I did it arm to arm with Apogee vs. Guerlain Muguet 2017 (i didn't buy Muguet 2016 I found to be too green), that is after having used a good part of my 200 ml Apogee and 125 ml Muguet bottles separately. What these 2 frags have in common is the outstanding quality of their natural ingredients - you wouldn't see Vuitton selling artificial leather bags ... However, after confrontation, the quality is about all they have in common: Muguet 2016 is the cleanest and purest LOTV scent one can imagine (very difficult to assemble with this mute flower using a combination of greens, roses, and jasmine), while Apogee is a lot more complex white flower composition, with a distinctive touch of tangerine/orange staying well beyond the opening, perfectly discrete base notes which are never invasive, and a quite wonder- & powerful magnolia which gives this frag an original twist. Only the remaining skin scents (after 5-6 hours) are closer, but magnolia still makes the difference in Apogee. So once my bottle will be empty, I'll go for the 200 ml refill of Apogee for 250€ which I consider as rather cheap for this quality ! @Hernri345que : thanks for excellent review !

Such a beautiful perfume and it has me interested in other Louis Vuitton perfumes as this doesn't do anything new or groundbreaking, but what it does, it does well. An excellent use of high quality ingredients, there's no screechiness to be found in this fragrance. It opens with a fresh citrus and white floral burst where the orange is prominent and like you've freshly peeled it. Then it develops into a green, lily of the valley dominant scent that makes you feel like you've been transported to the background watercolor painting of a light-dappled meadow in an old Disney cartoon, like something out of Sleeping Beauty. In the dry down, the rose comes out to play (truthfully I feel like this note is discordant to the rest of the accord) before it dries down to a linen fresh scent that's so similar to Byredo's Blanche. The journey of this perfume is wonderfully executed even if it's longevity is moderate. An easy wear for class, for shopping, and for brunch with friends. Possibly full bottle worthy, I think depending on what I think of the other perfumes from this house. I have to say that there is something in this that is reminiscent of Estée Lauder's Pleasures to me, but I seem to find that connection with most musky, lily scents I think.

Jacques Cavallier Belletrud Is a genious. This one is perfection to me. You can barely smell the tangerine, it opens up with a super classy white flower smell, the jasmine + lily of the valley combo is beautiful on this one, which to me, feels like a very fancy upgrade of J’Adore. It resembles the structure of J’Adore, but MUCH classier. I do not know any other perfume that is similar to Apogee, and I would love to know if there is one, cause then I wouldn’t have to pay usd300 a bottle.

its a realy wonderfuly lily of the valley presentaion in elegant way so soft and angelic, reminds of carmen le bolshoi de guerlain as well as shalimar parfum initial sensuelle, its the gaiac wood and lily and some very far bright jasmin, its the real the highest feeling of joy and comfort that you can reach .. top of happiness

This is one of my absolute favorites. Unfortunately it seems that it’s being discontinued. It’s clean, floral and always gets compliments.

Very seductive, light everyday perfume with a touch of floral. My husband's mother wears this and it is an addictive smell.

Apogée opens as a green, crystalline lily of the valley. A gentle citrus fruity zing and a lively verdancy like sap from cut stem, induce effervescence to this almost limpid lily of the valley. The fragrance feels very much like a crystal: it's more transparent and most lily of the valley soliflore perfumes that I've tried, but it still maintains a steadiness and a smooth, cool feeling, very much like touching a piece of glass. 2 hours in, the incremental changes within the fragrance start to take shape. The heart of Apogée is no longer a pure lily of the valley. There are now green, mildly sweet grass and leaves covered with morning dew. A tiny bit of peppery spiciness plays peek-a-boo, and an almost ozonic magnolia emerges, which feels less velvety and more watery than the previous lily of the valley. The dry down sees the white flowers fall back under the veil of clean, laundry white musk with a metallic aldehydic nuance. This abstract, fresh floral white musk kind of reminds me of Byredo Blanche, but Apogée is smoother and less muddy, although not as refined and delicate as LM Parfums Chemise Blanche. The sillage is close to the skin, and the longevity is around 11 hours. Apogée is by and large a fresh, green lily of the valley, supported by a considerable amount of clean white musk. I enjoyed its first few hours very much, with its dewy, dainty green floral redolence strongly evoking in me an image of crystal bells dangling in the spring breeze. Although its laundry white musk dry down doesn't do much for me personally, it's not as sharp as some can be, either. If you happen to be interested in a clean, pure, innocent, fresh green floral white musk, Apogée might worth a try. I also think it's one of the more friendly lily of the valley fragrances out there as well.

So far, this is my favorite LV fragrance. It’s a very clean and somewhat soapy scent. It has a freshness to it that makes it perfect for spring and summer. I do think it’s unisex but leaning feminine for sure. I mainly pick up citrus and white florals but can’t really tell what the specific notes are unless I look it up. It wears soft and natural but does project. It fades into an even softer scent within the first 30 minutes or so. It is very pretty, however, for me it’s not worth the price tag! It’s just not a standout enough to me to warrant it. Personally, I have a few scents in my collection that are in the same vein, that would work just as well for the occasions I would wear this for. Baiser Vole, diorissimo, Michael Kors Michael and several others in all different price ranges. I’m glad I only have a sample because I don’t think it’s unique enough to drop that much on a full sized bottle. If I had a small collection, that may be a different story, but I just don’t love it enough to purchase. There is also something about LV scents that smell a bit like a room spray to me rather than a perfume. Pretty but not a standout for me.

Not Unisex? 🤔 I’m a man and I wear this fragrance. This fragrance to my nose is more masculine than Mancera’s velvet vanilla. Both fragrances are very close in scent profile. The only difference is that LV Apogée does not have any vanilla in it. Sure this fragrance is catered towards females but I can see men rocking this fragrance as well. I and my girlfriend both wear this fragrance and it smells more floral to her skin than it is on mine. My girlfriend got this bottle but rarely wears it as it is too floral for her and on her skin and she hates the notes of jasmine. On my skin, I get citruses and a tinge of florals lingering in the background. The musk, guaiac woods, and sandalwoods are very prominent on my skin and are a key reason why I think this fragrance can be unisex. From the opening on my skin, this was floral but once it settles it starts to warm up and the florals subside a bit.

First blast of fruity lily of the valley and jasmine, sweet and floral but not overbearing and headache-inducing. After a couple minutes, a darker woody almost bitter tone starts to project and anchors the sweet florals. The scent feels mature and elegant, it's not girlish or simplistic, and yet doesn't feel like it's a 90s power suit-y fruity white floral either. Wow, they charge HOW much for this?? I guess you're paying for the brand name. Feminine and best for cool weather; I imagine the florals would get cloying in warm weather. 6+ hours later: Stayed on that white floral, warmed by a the faintest touch of sandalwood. It all disappeared by the 4th hour.

A bright, non-cloying white floral with citrus twist on my skin. It’s not a head over heels love affair but I do quite almost love it! We are in the strong like phase of our relationship and I think I need a little bit more wear time for the love to blossom. This is a fresh, elegant white floral appropriate for many environments/occasions. While safe, it has a bit more to it that makes it that much more interesting. I am really enjoying this. My two daughters love cuddling up to me wearing it. One says it’s very comforting and says “my beautiful mommy”... I just love that they get that feeling from this!

I was so swooned by this perfume, I bought a decant to test and enjoy it further. The initial phase and the dry down are such beautiful phases, modest, elegant lily of the valley shines through all the way. But the middle phase is quite annoying, the main character is magnolia and it loses that lotv tenderness, fragility. Magnolia in perfumes sometimes behaves as litchi, adds that thick humidity, which I didn't appreciate, it was cloying, nauseating. I wish it had less development, as they created a beautiful lily of the valley and then destroyed it with magnolia. It went from a love to a like.

nice delicate floral perfume. leans a bit mature. reminds me of a lazy Sunday morning by Maison Margiela. quite green, very floral, very light citrus, perfect for hot summer days because this one does not go sour, unlike most citrus perfumes. longevity is meh, lasts about 5-6 hours on my skin. a bit of a citronella scent in the opening. after the 3 hour mark, it smells nice and powdery but has no more projection.

I love Lily of the valley so much that I could never hate a perfume where its mean note it is it, Apogee It's a wonderful perfume, IT SCREAMS SPRING TIME but extremely expensive for what it offers, I have a small collection of Lily of the valley and this is nothing new, magnolia might do a great job in here but just makes it more floral to my taste I still love it tho but for the price I would recommend others

Testing my sample; this strikes the right balance between aquatic and soapy. Very green lily-of-the-valley, rose, and magnolia are strongest to my nose, very floral. Does resemble Dior's Lucky, especially in the opening. Warm/hot weather only, spring and summer. Needs to be reapplied if you want it to last all day.

Soft, classy and elegant lily of the valley. Almost regal. Very much my style, soapy and not pungent. Magnolia balances it out perfectly, it is felt strongly too. Slightly vintage. That being said, nothing new or groundbreaking as well.

top notes: well blended, light, floral, powdery middle notes: light, sweet, powdery, floral, fresh, watery base notes: cant smell anymore Overall a very nice fragrance. Nothing spectacular and performance is sublime. 8/10.

It's one of the most fragrant, complex and special perfumes of this brand . Woody and floral notes are dominant . It has a unique smell . Be sure to try it .

I received a sample from Louis Vuitton. This perfume is a white floral, non-unique fragrance with a typical 90's musky base. For me, the lily is too prominent and too nauseating. I would appreciate this perfume more, if it was blended better and not as straightforward. The white florals do not come out as intriguing, nor inviting, nor interesting. In fact, they are more bland and mainstream to me. I smell similar notes in Solinotes, Jo Malone and designer fragrances, which tend to be way more affordable than LV. For me, this is a pass.

A very light inoffensive with little to no silage and extremely overpriced fragrance. I don't and will understand why someone would pay $300+ for this. There are far far far better fragrances for a fraction of the price out there. Unless you don't care about its price tag, I highly encourage you to test it before buying it. Let's be extremely clear here, this smells good but that doesn't justify its price. For $70-80 it can be a nice frag. Also, be aware that its main note is white flowers and that gives some folks headache.

#Orange #WhiteFloral Tried on a perfumer's touches. I smell an orange which is sweet, I'm sure it will not sour my teeth, and juicy. Then it comes to lily, small and fragile, companied with the green of the liquid from a broken stem. Then the base note comes to woody with the company of rose. Metallica soap water. I honestly feel lots of designer perfumes are better than this hi-end line, in terms of both the quality and the creativity. Extremely disappointed. This is by bar at the bottom of my choice of the niche I had ever tried.

For me, this smells like soap bubble fluid. I'm not too fond of it, because it doesn't smell sophisticated at all and I would expect some elegance for an LV fragrance - especially for this price.

Fragrance Review For Apogee Louis Vuitton Top Notes Orange Tangerine Middle Notes Rose Lily of the Valley Jasmine Magnolia Base Notes Sandalwood Guaiacum Wood Musk I discovered this fragrance among others in the Louis Vuitton line with their new travel luggage set with fragrances. Apogee is my favorite. This is a beautiful white floral scent, citrusy, soapy, smooth, woodsy. As simple as it is beautiful. This smells like perfumed soap that you carry with you when you travel. Louis Vuitton needs no introduction and their frags as are just as luxurious as their line of bags. This one is perfectly suited for spring and summer. If you like fresh floral scents this is sure to delight you. At the first spritz one gets a delicious tangerine and orange citrus scent. Nothing particularly impressive about this standard but sweet citrus. There are green notes and even a bit of lemon verbena as well the lemony scent in waxy magnolia petals. This has a fresh and zesty quality but comes off as somewhat masculine in the final stages/dry down so I would peg this one as unisex. Smells like a good bar of soap. The citruses are quite good so if you like citrus based fragrances the opening to this one is as good as it can get. The heart is floral with lovely white flowers: lily of the valley, magnolia, jasmine and white rose. The bouquet is white with green leaves and greenery around it. The lily of the valley is the dominant note to my nose. The magnolia is also detectable. It's a note that I like a lot but find it hard to find in modern fragrances. Though this perfume is modern it has a classic retro white floral air as if it belonged to the 1980's or before, with an emphasized white floral core. Smells of spring, white soap, marble bathrooms, and luxury. This is the kind of perfume I would indeed keep in my bathroom or carry in my travel bag when I travel. The dry notes are woodsy but not heavy woods. Soft clean woodsy aroma. Contains sandalwood and guaiacum wood. There's musk in it as well. The fragrance sits close to the skin and is very subdued. Not a powerful scent. But it's clean, fresh, soapy, sweet, floral and woodsy, unisex and absolutely divine. This is best worn in the day time with day wear either formal semi formal or casual. A good perfume that can be found in the Louis Vuitton online store and with others in the line in their new edition of luggage

this a harsh floral on my skin it turns too florally it almost turns to bug spray but thats just my own skin chemistry that doesn't sit well with such white florals ..it is a beautiful bright crisp floral with creamy undertones and floriental facets its rosy jasminy with lily of the vally its a bit linear in a deeper level its synthetic to my nose and is a bit dull on my skin ..i say its dul but its actually trying to be full bright but to ad depth and longevity it has this floriental vibe that comes and haunts me its a bit too florally in almost a more Arabian style floral without the utter freshness of fresh cut grass or fresh cut roses its like brewed roses dead roses dried roses immersed in white woods and hints of sandalwood ..i am not in love with it it didn't evoke feelings of happiness it felt more strict but its just my personal floral experience with such accords it reminds me a bit of chloe roses and a bit from la artisan rose prive without the utter green accords also a bit from Armani prive rose but as a much lighter watered down concentration it smells very generic and extremely commercial and synthetic to my nose it also resembles many florals from locitane like quatre and many from marks and spenser florals which cost so much less than this ! i personally expected much higher quality for the long awaited lv fashion conglomerate.. its in strange middle ground its not stunning and its not ugly its not horrible and its not beautiful its not rich and its not so poor its not dense and its not so weak its trying to be a middle ground a crowd pleaser but its lacking character and personality its just another floral another hmmm i dont really know where to categories it even among ..if u are after branding and bottles and packaging i think this is where the lump sum went to in creating those 7 perfumes with no exception its turning too screechy on my skin almost acidic extremely offending to my sensory olfactory experiences but again i am not huge on florals and this could be due to that

Apogee by Louis Vuitton is the supposed bestseller from their fragrance line, (according to the sales associate at my local Louis Vuitton boutique). This actually surprises me as lily-of-the-valley fragrances are some of the hardest to wear. I must admit that Apogee is one of my least favourite scents from this line. Dominant lily-of-the-valley scents are either a love it or a hate it when it comes to my personal preferences. Dior's vintage Diorissimo and Lalique's Fleur de Cristal are the only two lily-of-the-valley fragrances from which I've tried that actually agree with my nose and chemistry. Apogee started off beautifully with dew-kissed lily-of-the-valley and a touch of refreshing, clean citrus notes. The composition seemed promising in the beginning and I was starting to enjoy it, but unfortunately, my hopes were dashed by a heavy, somewhat thick rose note and an oddly placed guaiac wood accord. Apogee's drydown is not nearly as light and crisp as its opening. I'm a few hours into wearing Apogee, and it's not a lily-of-the-valley scent anymore, it's more of a screechy oriental rose. The white musk and sandalwood blend most apparent in the base of this scent pyramid attempt to subdue the rose accord but fails miserably. I wish the perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud had kept this fragrance simple. Had the rose note not been added, I think Apogee would have made a lovely representation of lily-of-the-valley.

Apogee by Louis Vuitton. I have got this one as one of the samples while I was buying my wallet. It's a very zesty! I would say citruses covered with white flowers. If I would be a LV I would balance white flowers more next time- they sound too spicy too harsh for me. LV- make it more soapy- I want to feel the France... PAris in your products...be French more next time :) I would say this one is the strongest from all les parfums. One spray is a headache in my opinion is the most imbalanced one from all les perfumes. Dry down has a strong, natural scent of lily of the valley. So if you like this scent go for it. It's very green scent mixed with lily. If they would add more poudre and musky notes it would be nice... But they have left it with strong green notes - it's not my ...style. If you love lilly of valley so much go for Yardley for 15$ instead paying $200 per same notes and dry down.

For me, this perfume is a huge disappointment (I actually had to scrub it off my skin with dish soap, I disliked the scent that much). On me it is nothing but a strong smell of lily of the valley, which then turns into something really cheap smelling. It's nothing special, nothing you couldn't pick up at Macy's or even Victoria's Secret.

A melange of Magnolia, Lilly of the Valley and Jasmine adorned with Roses, Orange Zest and a beautiful Guaiac Wood note will stay with you throughout this Vuitton journey. Meanwhile, you're holding a beautiful brown epi leather briefcase with a lot of musks and sandalwood inside it. Four sprays will stretch you to your apogee.

A pleasant white floral fragrance with a WHOLE lotta guaiac wood and sandalwood tossed into the mix. Sweet and woody, Not a sexy fragrance but one that could be worn in most daytime situations. For me, it's certainly not full-bottle worthy but if you like white florals, certainly worth a try.

Ehhh, I get tangerines and lily of the valley at first, and it is quite nice. However on the dry down I find this just becomes all lily and it starts to smell like an air freshener type of smell. I would definitely sample this first, not a safe blind buy at all. 5/10

This juice is wayyy overpriced for what it is. Initial spray is straight up supermarket shower gel-like to my nose and when it settles it just lily and thats it. I would never ever pay almost 300€ for this.

It might just be me but this smell mainly of rose . I love rose citrus perfume but I don't smell the tangerine or orange in here. It's nice but you can find many rose perfume that smells similar

-Weird and musty scent that leans predominantly green. -Not a fan of how lily-of-the-valley turns funky here...like spoilt fruit, or a weird blend of herbs left sitting out for too long. (-)

Louis Vuitton perfume ingredients is top tier! That's why it is costly for a reason and this one says it all. Apogee will be in my forever Top 5 favorites out of my 40+ bottles.

This fragrance is now discontinued and sold out on the LV website. The last bottles have been sold, if you still want this I would start looking as soon as possible.

This smells very dated. There is a very small resemblance to Dior's Lucky. Lucky could be the mom. This could be the grandma. Does anybody remember Heno de Pravia?

Similar to Dior Diorissimo’s lily of the valley. Perhaps more well-rounded, more noticeably a perfume. And an expensive one at that! Lovely projection.
