Attrape-Rêves

Exquisite perfume, very well created but unfortunately it carries the curse of resembling many other fragrances, say Coco Mademoiselle (in all its variants) Miss Dior 2012 and its respective edt from 2013 and all the perfumes that made that DNA so fashionable with the musky and citrus rose-patchouli combo, I must also make the note that although it is reminiscent of all those, it is not so similar, this one is less musky and the citrus note is replaced by the fruity acidity of the lychee, which also bathes that combo of rose (in this case Turkish) with patchouli but here the floral and feminine part is reinforced with the peony and its characteristic "pink" nuance. This floral part feels effervescent and it must be due to the touch of ginger and a sweetness in the background that begged to be that cocoa that I don't detect (more like cocoa butter) or an undeclared vanilla touch. Less earthy than Coco Mademoiselle and much less musky and citric than the Miss Dior (in addition to lacking the "screaming" part that jasmine brings to the Dior) this is a fragrance that can captivate anyone who likes these fashionable DNA at the beginning of the 2000s but also to those who don't because it has its twist, you can feel the good hand (and nose) of Jacques Cavallier and the quality components that he uses for LV and although many of the freshest ones are very moderate This is "felt" in the right conditions, I think it would work all year round except extreme heat and extreme winter and it will be a delight for many women and for some men (why not) who like me do not deprive themselves of using scents that they like regardless of the gender with which the market insists on labeling some aromas, a guilty pleasure for those lovers of the already classic Chanel and the discontinued and thousand-times reformulated Dior.

I was in Las Vegas looking for a sample of another LV fragrance for my wife and I smelled Attrape-Reves (Dream Catcher for those who don’t speak French). I can’t put my finger on it, but I was really drawn to it. I asked for a sample and was told they were out. Being in Las Vegas with a LV store on every block, I visited a few looking for a sample. One salesperson looked at me sideways and explained it was a woman’s perfume. I guess I understand why it might appeal more to women, but I caught myself smelling my wrist and explaining that they could label it however they wanted to, but I really liked it. True story: my 6th LV store (in The Venetian) is where this story ends. Me, a 55 year old man and my two 20-something sons, were treated with so much respect. The salesperson (I think her name was Rachel) was wonderful. I told her the story of the comments in other stores and how much I loved this frag. She said she thought she had a sample and came back with not one but two samples. And bottles of Evian for the 3 of us. I’m sorry she didn’t get the sale. I wore it for weeks and finally bought a bottle a couple of weeks ago. My wife and I have about 50-60 frags, and we love many of them. For me, this is one of only a few that I catch myself smelling my wrist in appreciation. As for all the comments about it being “regular”, I couldn’t disagree more. I love it. Women’s perfume or not.

My first splurge fragrance purchase, and entirely on a whim. I received a sample at the flagship Paris store (how bougie!) after making my very first LV purchase several years ago. I took the sample with me to a wedding in Italy (late spring on the Amalfi coast!), and almost every man I came in contact with said "OMG you smell SO GOOD." Like some weird catnip for straight boys, idk. Based on the rave reviews from the opposite sex, I grabbed a bottle before returning home to the US. I personally thought it was dreamy and really unique... I haven't smelled anything quite like it (the cocoa-litchi-rose combo is really special!). TBH I'm surprised at the reviews saying this is generic. I digress. For a fragrance with patchouli and cocoa, this is surprisingly fresh. It's VERY powerful, SERIOUS projection — spray too much and you'll get a migraine (I made this mistake, lol). And it really does last. I was immediately enamored with this pretty pink potion, and obviously am a sucker for the compliments. If it works with your skin chemistry, and it's your style, it's a beautiful formulation that'll last you a long time and draw some attention. It's seasonless, great for day or night, really elegant and feminine, and youthful.

Heavy based on Peony and rose with a touch of aquatic litchi and dries down to a woody patchouli scent. Based on the composition, it could considered as a fresh chypre. (Deep, woody notes of green, moist moss, potent and musky patchouli). It's a well-rounded mature fruity peony rose scent. Doesn't smell synthetic and smells expensive. Top notes listed bergamot and ginger, however i couldn't detect these notes, instead the litchi notes is so strong that it just overtakes those notes. I smell a watery sweet litchi-rose scent upon the first spray. It smells somewhat mainstream and it has a place in my heart. If you like well-rounded mature peony-rosy patchouli based perfume I would recommend it! ▪️Versatility: Everyday. This smells like you sprayed your boyfriend's cologne and then several sprays of a girly airy floral perfume on top. It smells heavenly but not typical. This is a sophisticated sexy fresh scent. It's also incredibly versatile; I wear this to business meeting, dates, vacation, or even on a night out. I would never buy this perfume if I saw the notes before trying it, but it is actually my signature scent now! I am not a huge fan of rose, fruit notes or patchouli or ginger. But somehow this perfume is so well blended I cannot pick up any one note that stands out above the rest. For me, this smells like sophistication and is girly but leaning unisex. It is not overly sweet, but does get more sweet on the dry down. The performance on it is also great; it lasts a long time and projects well. You can wear it year round because it is beast mode enough for winter, but fresh enough for summer. I am obsessed with it. If you want it to lean a bit sweeter, I would layer it with a vanilla perfume (I use Angham). So far I have convinced 3 people in my circle to buy the same.

Initial spray is incredible. It is so incredibly beautiful, sweet, fresh and balanced. It is not too much of anything actually. The only thing I could see people taking issue with is the patchouli, but dont worry that doesnt take front at all. The dry down is similar to mon Paris which is a perfume I absolutely hate but this is much better with that subtle cacao hint, and the sweet zing of ginger is incredible and adds this modern and balanced feel to this which otherwise would be a bit cliche feminine. It’s rosy pink sweet not “old” or “stuffy” scent. I think this is better than Delina, this is much more smoother than Delina. This is sexy for sure, sexy without really trying. It is not only balanced in the scent profile, but also the vibe of the person wearing this will also be quite balanced. Doesn’t pull any monotoned vibe, its like a multifaceted woman who can be prim n proper or sexy and confident if she would like and thats why I think it is appealing, It is very humanly in a way if that makes sense, which Is a theme many perfumes do not fulfill.

As a man who loves a good rose fragrance, I'm absolutely captivated by Attrape-Rêves. This scent is a beautiful, sexy blend of rose, florals, and patchouli that's truly addictive. It's not just a daytime floral—this is Delina after dark, wrapped in a mink coat on a winter night. The opening is a potent burst of bright, energizing lychee and citrus. The heart of the fragrance features a stunning rose that's both prominent and perfectly balanced. The real magic, though, is in the base, where a balsamic cacao note adds a sense of opulence and richness without ever feeling overly sweet or gourmand. The overall fragrance is pushed by ambroxan. This is a stunning fragrance, and while its hyper-feminine character is the only thing stopping me from wearing it myself (even though I confidently wear Atomic Rose), I can't get enough of it on others. It's a gorgeous and luxurious scent that keeps me coming back for more.

u guys ... this is thee best women's fragrance in the whole d*mn world. i dont understant how "sweet" is not one of the listed accords as this scent is SO SWEET and pretty omg. even HOURS after you spray this on your skin, you will fill up a room with the smell of Attrape-Rêves. guys at work constantly compliment me on this one, it's actually crazy. the beautiful lychee note in the opening is very juicy; the cacao note is so sweet and creamy, and the patchouli compliments that sweetness so nicely, it's a very sexy combination. this works wonders during the summer (when I got the majority of the compliments), but because it's sweet it works during the colder weather just as fine. but I think this fragrance shines best during warmer weather! love it so freaking much, need to get a refill at LV soon. wouldn't say it's a safe blind buy though! go to the store and smell it first!

Attrape-Reves was the third bottle of perfume that I bought from the Louis Vuitton store, and I got it as part of my plan to propose to my fiance, to formally propose. She has a dreamcatcher tattoo on her back, so I thought this was fitting, and I had a sample of it, Rose des Vents, and Matiere Noire from my previous visit to the Louis Vuitton store. I just loved the bright, uplifting, fresh, floral, fruity scent in Attrape-Reves, and it does have a little bit of deeper scent notes in the base. My fiance ghosted me again a few weeks ago, but I still have the perfume because I had only given her a small decant I made so far. I've been layering it with Nuit de Feu and Margiela Replica By the Fireplace, and calling it "The night of smokey dreams"; I love how the bright floral notes contrast the animalic notes and the incense and wood fire scents.

Louis Vuitton is one of those houses whose fragrances either blow me away or traumatize me, there is no middle ground. Unfortunately I either heavily dislike or hate everything from the women's line but this one is the exception. It is an absolute masterpiece. Fresh sweet rose that is deepened with cacao. Absolutely beautiful, and hands down one of the most unique (but still extremely likable) rose fragrances on the market. I say this as someone who is not a very big fan of rose but I cannot deny how beautiful this fragrance is. I am very critical of fragrances that cost $300+ because of the fact that it is very easy to find a much more affordable fragrance that smells similar and much better than the $300 scent in question. This one is worth the money though, there is really nothing like it.

Attrape-Reves is beautiful, but by no means is it original. It's a well-crafted perfume in the category we used to call "fruitchouli," a group that includes much less expensive scents such as the original Jimmy Choo, Elie Saab Le Parfum Royal, Rhianna Reb'l Fleur, and the pricier Chanel Coco Mads. The patchouli lends an earthiness, melding harmoniously with the cacao, grounding the litchi, peony and, to my nose, much lighter rose. It's a lovely scent but, in my opinion, not worth the amount LV is charging for it. I was able to purchase a nice sized decant that will last me a long while for a much more reasonable price. If you can't find something like that, and don't want to shell out some $400, just explore some of the other lovely fruitchoulis I've listed above. :)

I have spent years spraying this on a sample card and sticking it in my purse so that my purses would smell like it, and the scent on the card alone would last days if not a week or more. Finally had the funds to purchase it. This is definitely *my* fragrance. It's odd because it's not my typical fragrance at all, if I just saw the notes I probably would never try it. But it has that ~something~ with the blend of everything that makes it special. It just smells fresh and fancy. It feels appropriate for any and every occasion. Strong, good sillage, I only need one single spray on a casual day. Best description is that it makes me feel mature and elevated. Something very fancy about it. Ups my confidence for sure.

I agree with the reviews that compare this to Chanel Coco Madmoiselle. The opening really reminded me of a sweeter, more youthful Madmoiselle! I really like this offering from LV, and its their only perfume that I’ve actually used up and decided to repurchase. The opening is sweet and i get Coco Madmoiselle, and a honey accord. And then there’s some softness and something comforting, as you start to smell the Cacao. I really dont get any patchouli, nor any granny vibes from this. It’s a nice, soft, likeable, sweet scent. With mediocre projection. Its a safe blind buy, I dont see anyone having trouble liking this. But if you’re looking for a beast mode fragnance, this is not it.

Absolutely adore this. I wore it to my graduation and I got so many compliments. It’s the only rose fragrance that I really really like, it’s so lush and juicy on the first spray because of the litchi and the peony note that it opens on. I really like the dry down too but I like patchouli so lol. The ginger is there too on the dry down and I usually layer this with glossier you so that makes it extra spicy and peppery. Truthfully it’s a great signature scent because it’s very sweet but has an exciting edge to it. It’s the only floral scent that I really really adore and wear regularly. Would love to try to experiment more with layering more litchi based fragrances.

Simplicity perfected. An amazingly beautiful fragrance that you want to keep inhaling. Light, feminine, beautiful. It lifts your mood even before applying, and when the scent is on you, it makes you smile and dance. This is what Paris in spring smells like! Perfectly crafted, harmonious in its notes, long-lasting. And that sillage... mind-blowing and unforgettable. Pure pleasure to wear this fragrance. Louis Vuitton amazes with perfection in its compositions. Attrape Rêves imprints itself in your mind, and on a purely instinctive level, you just want to inhale it and apply it every time. A luxurious sound that adorns your aura, outfits, and our femininity...

I think this might be m favourite of the LV line its certainly up there and the one I have worn the most out of all of them that I have tried. It isn't a ground breaking fragrance and it is rose forward in a fresh not powdery way. But it is a people pleasing fragrance and non offensive for the office etc. I love wearing this and I get good longevity out of it I didn't feel like I had to top it up throughout the day. Will I buy a bottle? not unless I win the lottery as there are other similar fragrances with a better price point but I will certainly enjoy wearing the little I have and its definitely a fragrance I could see myself reaching for in the future.

Oh,I love this so much. This is a perfect feminine fragrance with perfect projection and longevity. It is similar to Chanel mademoiselle and those ultra feminine fragrances but Attrape-Reves has perfected the art of ultra femininity with sophisticated twist. It doesn’t have that alcoholic,too-sweet-that-it’s-starting-to-become-bitter vibe but rather rounded out very elegantly with ginger,cacao and litchi. It last good 8 hours to me and I love how the top middle and base notes play out. It’s not too much,not too little just perfect ( for me ). I don’t want the whole room to smell me so strongly and leave a scent trail that just wont go away.

I tried this on in the LV store the other day and really enjoyed it. The dry down is SO amazing. Very smooth, sweet and feminine. After about 30 minutes of wear, I was thinking why does this smell soooo familiar? And then it hit me...it smells almost identical to the bath and body works scent called into the night which I’ve used weekly for years now. It’s my favorite scent from them. It’s so incredibly similar. I’ll definitely be wearing this perfume with the into the night lotion. ALT fragrance makes a literal spot on impression of this fragrance too, if anyone is interested. It’s 30 bucks instead of $350.

Idc if this is a women’s pefume. I would wear this all the time. I just smelt this at the LV store today. Smelt all of the men’s/unisex fragrances nothing stood out like this. This is a Women’s scent, but holy moly this stuff is insane. I would get this for my wife/daughter/mom any woman in my life. But I would get this for myself first, even though this scent is very feminine I would absolutely wear this everyday. I usually lean towards masculine scents but I have a few unisex fragrances but nothing this feminine. But this stuff is so freaking good. Scent 10/10 Longevity 8/10 Projection/Sillage 8/10

This fragrance is, well...PINK to me. Delicate, sweet and fruity (almost lemony? I don't know what fresh lychee smells like -- I've only experienced canned lychee in syrup!) at first, and as I wear it, it's moving into the middle notes that seem more rosy and peony-based. I like it. I work in an art museum, and this fragrance is perfect for my interactions with artists and museum-goers -- modern, engaging, attractive, elegant. Also intriguing, in a way. Like it's holding a secret within itself, with more notes unfolding as the day develops. Count me as a fan.

Attrape-Reves is one of the most wonderful scents I have ever had the pleasure to smell. It's light and fresh; if you look at the Vuitton ads they describe the fragrance well. It's like a pale red sunbeam by the sea. A subtle and elegant hint of cocoa brings water to the tongue. A very artful and elegant fragrance, lasting and wonderfully seductive. Litchi is the absolute pinnacle of the fragrance, with its distinctive flavour on the palate. I don't usually like Rose notes, but together with Peony they create a freshness. A masterpiece! Infinitely girly!

I do not like floral perfumes until I tried this. In fact, I loved it so much I got a 200ml after wearing the samples several times. This is warm, beautiful and can be worn for all occasions and seasons. It projects incredibly well and lasts days on clothing. I consider it more feminine but think anyone can wear it if they love it. Florals usually make me nauseous and give me headaches. This one does not. It’s a stunner and I feel so confident wearing it. High recommend, but also recommend sampling to see if it works with your chemistry.

Simplicity at its finest... feminine, floral, and sweet - Attrape Reves is a straightforward fruity-floral without all the synthetic musks, iso-e molecules, and ambroxans that are far too prevalent in the industry as of late. As others have mentioned this is a common floral-fruity combo however the quality is what sets this apart from the lesser expensive designer/generic offerings. If you are buying authentic LV, there should be no issues with performance whatsoever. This stuff survives showers and laundering if you overspray.

It’s a love for me. I agree with others, it does comes across generic at first but it has something special to it as it develops. The scent profile is similar to other perfumes that are out there and are more reasonably priced, but for me it’s worth the price as the cacao note really differentiate it from the rest and the patchouli makes it long lasting. I would recommend if you want to splurge. FWIW I do not like Coco Mademoiselle at all and I don’t think the two compare (at least to my nose).

My absolute favorite fragrance, but it is obviously too expensive. The price point is the only negative about this. However, in response to all the reviewers saying it is not necessarily unique, I invite any input on a dupe. I can't find one, but maybe others have. I've tried three now and the closest one still does not have the depth, warmth, and body of this fragrance. So unless or until I can find something that delivers the perfection that this fragrance is, LV can have my money.

It’s a good soapy rose, not too sweet not too sharp. Maybe nothing new but very pleasant and great for layering. It a very comforting fragrance and I find it extremely unisex but I can clearly tell why is on the female side. I just think all the LV fragrances are over priced, the silage is huge but not noisy and it last for the whole day in the skin, pretty linear the first spray will be all that you get, it can be a nice summer fragrance but again I find it over priced.

This fragrance is a tantalizing blend of fruitiness, sweetness, and refreshing notes, making it the perfect summer companion. The litchi and peony notes is the star here, giving it a unique and captivating quality. I can't wait to wear this gorgeous scent all summer long! Pacific Chill, City of Stars, California Dream, On The Beach and Afternoon Swim were standout favorites of mine as well. I highly recommend giving them a try for a truly enticing experience!

this is my very first LV Fragrance and I'm happy with it. It's so dainty and fresh! It feels like a very happy scent - I don't think the projection is all that, but I'm actually ok with this, just gives me a reason to spray some more :) it's rose heavy but again, very happy, bright but not in a juvenile way. I get why the girls are raving about it!! I layered it with Valaya and that gave it some depth in a way. I plan to purchase California Dream next!

This is literally just Into The Night from Bath and Body Works. 🤣 But LV said let us charge hundreds of dollars for it. I’ve worn into the night for YEARS and I went to try this on at LV and as it was drying down I thought I was losing my mind because it was exactly like into the night, which I’m obviously very familiar with. So, want a dupe?...just head to your local BBW. ALT fragrance also makes a spot on dupe which I have. It’s identical.

This stuff is soooooo nice. Beautiful feminine fragrance. It is perfect, and well balanced. Airy, elegant, floral and fruity. In the opening, it has this cotton candy type sweetness, which slowly tones down and compliments the rose accord. Lasts and projects really well, with around 8-10 hours of longevity. One of, if not the best feminine fragrances on the market, with the only downside being the price. 8.6/10

I'm not a big fan of rose-patchouli fragrances, as a matter of fact, I'm not a big fan of patchouli dominant scents in general, but I love Attrape Reves. This fragrance is a fan favorite for a reason. IMO, this is the best rose-patchouli ever created. It's just so heavenly and the patchouli doesn't feel overly 'dirty'. The cacao and lychee brings a fun dynamic to the party as well. Overall stellar fragrance.

Something about this smells like candy... I smell a fruity juicy lychee mainly with peony, ginger, and rose/patchouli. This doesn't smell powdery candy like LDBS by Kilian nor overly sweet like any caramel/vanilla scent (the cacao in here isn't that pronounced IMO). It's like a fruity candy that isn't sickening. Didn't expect to like it so much but it's so pretty! The scent wafting as you move is so nice.

To me this smells very little like Coco Mademoiselle but a more grownup version of Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb. Love this and its Doisser dupe. Partner is very sensitive to perfume and doesn't like a lot of them but actually enjoys this one on me. Oily skin type here. Your skin and pheromones will affect how any perfume wears on you.

BANG!!!This scent hits me out last weekend and I had to buy immediately a 200 ml bottle of it. Extremely beautifule feminin perfume with medium sillage but it is very present in the air. I get an airy litchi note with beautifule soft patchouli, it become a BIG LOVE!!! I get several compliments when I wear.

My signature scent. I always get asked what I’m wearing. It’s the lychee and cocoa forward me that makes it so captivating. I fell in love with Escada Ibiza Hippie years ago and it was discontinued and this fragrance is the only one that has made me as happy since. Gorgeous fragrance.

So I’m a guy, and Attrape Rêves is my favourite feminine perfume of all time. It is so sexy, I can’t. Without a doubt I’ll be gifting a bottle of this to my girlfriend, because to me, this is that one special scent that always makes me think of my favourite person in the world 😊

A perfectly balanced blend of fresh, sweet pink florals, rose and peony. The citrus in the opening is a little sharp for me, but overall I love this perfume. The cocoa and patchouli add some sweetness and depth keeping it interesting and not too fresh. This is perfection!

I was thinking about the best definition I could come up with. After months, I finally found out why it was this calming yet enthusiastic to smell Attrape Reves. It is a bottle of liquid that smells like honey+roses. Even a rose jam. Love. Love. Love.

The dupe is coco madmoiselle. It’s almost spot on although I prefer Attrape more. It’s softer and gentler than coco. The opening is stunning, dry down is soft and feminine. Beautiful fragrance but for the price, it should fill the room and it doesn’t

I’ve smelled this once as I was browsing the store and have been longing for it since. I have searched far and wide for a similar fragrance because this is now about $500 and have mixed feelings about finding the $20 Into The Night by BBW

i definitely get the comparisons to into the night by bbw and mon paris! not at all like miss dior though. smells like a fruitchouli but is really addicting on the skin. i really love this and wish i got this instead of city of stars.

A beautifully soft, feminine scent with an effortless charm. It creates such a warm, inviting aura that you can’t help wanting to stay close — the kind of fragrance that makes you want to hold someone just to keep breathing it in.

That is extremely sexy on a woman. I can see a man wearing it but only in the summer heat. Fresh, soft and fruity. As a guy that doesnt go with the hype, this is indeed as wonderful as they say.. expensive af so make your choice.

Attrape-Rêves is a light fresh fragance. It is very dreamy and elegant. I like the subtle freshness to it and how the smell lingers throughout the day. The dry down is my favorite as it smells sweet and floral.

Silky, elegant, and effortlessly beautiful. It leaves a soft, refined trail that feels luxurious without being overpowering. One of the most sophisticated fragrances I’ve worn.

This is the best LV fragrance, besides Symphony, in my opinion. Strong projection and superb longevity. One of my best performing perfumes and gets a lot of compliments.

This is nothing new under the sun but I like it very much, close to Miss Dior edp and Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming but better. I think I will have to buy a bottle.

So beautiful! I can't believe it took me this long to discover this. I have walked past the LV counter at Selfridges multiple times, but didn't try this.
