Contre Moi

Being inside nearly all the time these days, I only wear perfumes for myself— and Contre Moi is an intoxicating, gorgeous self indulgence. Expensive smelling, delicious, narcotic, fresh and sweet from vanilla & white floral bouquet x citrus, Contre Moi is such a private pleasure. Constantly I want to smell my arm. I also tend to drench myself in it. A beautiful summer fragrance. A vanilla fix that doesnt cloy in heat and is a great departure from the more usual resinous and spiced vanillas out there (which I love as well.. but not in a heatwave) A double vanilla at that! A secret surprise for anyone in your tiny socially distanced circle of family etc who lean in to hug you. It lasts a few hours on me, with almost no projection, but honestly thats enough for me. Its like a private luxury that shifts my mood a bit whenever I want a little olfactory escape. Plus I still drool over the beauty of the LV bottles. (Thank you Mark Newson and thank you LV for hiring him) The simplicity, elegance and finishing is the highest quality in the market. From materials to diffuser plume volume/shape to added details (magnetic cap with matching interior and mirrored inside top -- check other bottles: they rarely have considered this space of the bottle and use cheap plastic because its necissary to have something to have the cap attach smoothly. Done right, this is usually the sign for me if a bottle has been designed REALLY well). Not only is this entire line full of unisex gems, but the gorgeous presentation is so well designed and produced, all opening on the side based on their 'trunk' logic (even the samples!). Granted I am a creative and particularly sensitive to these details, but glass emboss of "LOUIS VUITTON" is so chic. Almost NEVER see embossed glass. And then that becomes the clever system through, emboss the LV and foil the fragrance name across everything. Something remains and something changes. Simplicity requires flawlessness— because theres no where to hide.

This whole line is quite fantastic and elegant ! When I was at the LV store I was smelling each one for quite sometime and have to say I didn't dislike any of them. So it was rather hard to choose just one. I was back and forth between Mille Feux and contre Moi and my husband and I decide for Mille Feux ! After a week of wearing Mille Feux strait I had to re -sample some of the line and I decided I am in need of Contre moi ! Contre Moi , a light airy take on vanilla with green and fresh nuances. It starts of lemony, citrus vanillic with a suede like undertone , alsomst a little gourmand but in a very classy understated way. The musk mellow and the cacao give it an interesting and wonderful drydown , I am head over heals with this one. It also has a slight medical vibe which I adore. All of those perfumes have some common denominator, they all are related and can be worn together , mixed up and switched during the day without smelling odd. They blend well as the lady had told me and I have to agree. They all share the same style ,all have a classy feel , a suede airy like character , just wonderful. I also adore the minimalistic bottles with the magnetic cap. I also love the travel spray. Well done Jacques Cavalier !

This is my first luxurious fragrance purchase as of this year... i love vanilla and when i smelled this and compared to others from the lv line, this stood out so i bought a sample to make sure im really in love with it as well as mille feux, rose des vents, couer battant, and many more and still, i couldnt get this out of my head. I thought i really want to get my hands on this and if i were to buy a perfume from lv, this would be it. So finally, i pulled the trigger! For me it was worth the splurge! I can't get enough of it! Though it doesnt last long and (i had to think of bringing it to work to respray but couldnt) and project as much, i still love it. Even in hot days, it isnt cloying and doesnt get too sweet. I guess what makes this differ from the other vanilla fragrances ive smelt is its greeness?? Idk. Im not good at describing notes but i think this one is really unique and so far, i havent smelled anything like this before.i dont get tired smelling this which makes me worry about my other fragrances 😆😅 Going back, it has really weak performance and you need to respray but to me it doesnt matter. It's still worth the money! And i'll definitely get my refill once i run out of juice! ❤

I am delighted with this perfume... I can't believe they have discontinued it... is it true?? It's a beautiful perfume! I smelled it in the store on a blotter and it's not the same at all. Now I have a decant and I have applied it generously to my sweater, I like it, but there it is more similar to how it smells in the blotter (the bergamot is emphasized and it smells a bit pungent). Then... I went to smell my arm (where I also applied it to test on skin) and WOW it's one of those magical perfumes that changes a lot on skin (it doesn't happen to me with all of them, the ones I've noticed that dramatic effect are this one and Santal Blush). Now I understand that the notes voted most prominent are vanilla, cocoa and ambrette. As I need to apply this on the skin, I prefer to use it on the warm days of spring and autumn (maybe even summer nights), when I start to wear a bit more exposed skin. I also think that if it is not a slightly warm day like today, my skin does not heat the perfume and it does not act the same. I wish it was more powerful because it doesn't project enough for my liking...but I would still love to have a bottle.

Beautiful bright yet smooth citrus in the top followed by a sweet candy-like pear. The magnolia and orange blossom are so sexy mixed with the pear note. It's mouthwatering. The pear gives off a fizzy, almost champagne-like note. The dry down adds in a good dose of musk mallow for a sultry effect. And it works. Leans slightly feminine IMO but a confident man can pull this one off. I would love to smell this on man! Lastly, save yourself some serious coin and buy the dupe from DUA instead. It's called Against The Light. DUA is very hit and miss but one house they dupe well is Louis Vuitton. Between Against The Light (Contre Moi) and Melody (Symphony), I'm set. Yes, I've tried Contre Moi too. No, this isn't a review of the DUA fragrance. I'm simply comparing the two and offering some insight into which is the better of the two based on cost per ml and scent profile (similarities). DUA's is around $40 for a 34ml (with the discount they offer every single weekend - always between 30 and 33% off - never pay full price).

This fragrance develops throughout the wear. The beginning is very herbaceous and rosy to my nose and it also seems to last forever. I get punchy herbs, tartness and rose for 1 hour. Then the greenness and citrus dies down and a dried pear is introduced. It’s not your sweetened watery or juicy pear. This one is very natural to the scent of the fruit if it were unriped. Then at hour 4, sweetness starts to enter. The fragrance develops into a vanilla, with an understated cocoa and dried pear. The longevity is there for me but the projection is low to moderate, going back and forth between the two. This fragrance does not smell synthetic and is a more natural, calm vanilla scent. A more “of age” sweet scent. Definitely wait for the scent to develop to truly judge it!!! I wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much if I gave up less than an hour into the wear because of the herbs that wouldn’t let up lol I don’t know if it’s worth it to me, but try it out to see if this is a love for you.

I smell dense, smokey vanilla, not overly sweet, but creamy and rich, with hints of tobacco, and lovely amber-ey warmth on the dry down. It reminds me of the softer masculine perfumes I’d sometimes borrow from my husband. As the scent settles, the tobacco becomes more prominent, and there’re leathery undertones threaded throughout. Definitely unisex. I get zero fresh/citrus notes and almost no cocoa. If anything, it smells like the insides of a leather suitcase—well-loved and brought along on many travels. Cons: the sillage is minimal, so is the longevity Pros: gorgeous fragrance on its own or when layered, gives me the same vibes as Serge Lutens’ Chergui but can be worn year-round Overall, it is a quiet, comforting scent that works beautifully with my skin’s chemistry and feels classic and modern all at once. Well into my second bottle.

Sacha Guitry said: "je suis contre les femmes, tout contre". Jacques Cavallier may have been thinking about this citation when he named this parfume, so delicate it is. I agree with many contributors here: the notes are very subtle and more floral than vanillees, or the other way around, vanilla just amplifies magnolia, heliotrope and rose to a point making it almost vanishing. Sort of a restraint or diluted version of Guerlain's Instant pour Femme. All in all, not as original as I expected from Vuitton. Added dec 17 : the more I use it, the more I like it. My first impressions were wrong : the refined elegance of this frag finally convinced me.

This is a lot more green than I expected. I get a lot of magnolia and pear. My mom and brother were five feet away when I sprayed this on and swore they smelled fruit tea coming from somewhere! I wasn’t a fan of the smoky herbal blast at the beginning but it dies down after 45 minutes. I also sense a touch of leather/suede or tobacco—must be how I interpret the ambrette and cacao plant, in addition to how green the vanilla is, new with the pod freshly opened. This is a vanilla light enough to wear in nearly all occasions. It’s not a sillage bomb, but anyone standing by you will definitely detect it.

a chameleon of a fragrance. all at once you smell the notes, then throughout the day the notes take turns standing out to remind you of how unique of a blend this fragrance is. i smell flowers, i smell earth, greens, and herbs, wet from post-sunshower, then delicate vanilla, even a tinge of tobacco and freshly-skived leather. i need a full bottle now. will wear year-round.

A simple sweet-powdery-citrusy-vanilla opening but the beauty of this perfume is in the dry down when the cacao and the ambrette kick in adding smoothness. The rose, herbal notes and the orange blossom are lightly in there but this is mostly a powdery, fluffy, sweet, cacao, vanilla and citrusy scent. Moderate longevity but lacks projection. I really like the scent.

This literally translates to "counter me". It's the absolute best in the line, followed by matiere noire, mille feaux, dans la peau, roses des vents, turbulences, then apogee. I have to say I enjoy them all, but this one is just incredible. It smells just like the notes had me imagine. If you haven't tried this beauty yet, youre in for a treat

Its basically a citrus vanilla cacao combo with herbal notes which makes it really unique in my opinion. Im obsessed with this scent since day 1. Can't put my finger on it but theres something uplifting to it. I love it the most during winter, but i'd say it could be a 4 season fragrance. Too bad it's discontinued..

This is absolutely fantastic. Sweet, airy, feminine ,amazing... I get mostly sweet citrus, while florals whith some rose in the background and a fresh overall quality. I know this might sound basic but somehow it is quite unique to me. This might be the best sweet-fruity-floral I've ever tested.

Starts off with a rich, cacao warmth with lemony-herbal brightness. There’s a duality here — comforting yet unique. It’s soft, creamy, and settles into a smooth musky herbal tea, with hints of vanilla and cacao nibs. Beautifully blended. A cozy hug in perfume form. 7.5/10 Emojis: 🫖🌙☕️🍫

So of course I had to discover it when it got discontinued. It smells amazing and something about it reminds me of a sweet vanilla hookah, it has some smokiness to it which I LOVE. Its so unique I've never smelled anything like it. I hope they will bring this one back.

Wearing this today and mourning its discontinuation... Contre Moi is just so good!! I haven't smelled anything similar to this, unfortunately. Lovers of LVs California Dream, I just saw online today that it's their next frag to be dc... 😐

Lots of vanilla but not creamy which makes it appropriate for summer, if you can imagine an aromatic dark chocolate scent. Edit: I’m starting to adore this. It’s like a sheer green vanilla that works best in hot weather.

Sweet, medicinal. This is very much a vanilla fragrance, but vanilla done perfectly! It reminds me of the lemon medicine the DR prescribes to children. Very sweet, cloying but interesting.

My favorite from LV collection, I can cleary smell lemon and vanilla .. long lasting power and great sillage as well .. nice for cold months .. reminds me alot of Lancome connexion.

Me and my gf was in the LV store smelling their fragrances and this one stuck out and we pulled the trigger. It smells A - MAZING !!!

Maybe there's something related to almond or heliotrope in it, the opening of Contre Moi reminds me of play-doh. Speaking of which, Dior Hypnotic Poison also makes me think of play-doh, but it's also much louder, and the powdery texture feels much thicker. In contrast, Contre Moi doesn't feel explicitly powdery, it feels rather creamy and more translucent as all the new Louis Vuitton fragrances. The play-doh accord doesn't stay too long. It's mostly gone after about 20 minutes. Now, Contre Moi is a delicious creamy yet fresh vanilla. The vanilla itself is quite simple, milky with an abstract floral sweetness, and there's nothing smoky or boozy at all. At the same time, the texture is rather airy for an vanilla. Therefore, Contre Moi can almost parallel a vanilla ice cream made with nouvelle cuisine aesthetics. It was until after 3 hours that I was able to discern a sweet, fluffy orange blossom. Together with vanilla, Contre Moi again makes a lovely and fresh vanilla dessert dusted with sugar powder infused of orange blossom. Unfortunately, in the far dry down after about 5 hours, the combination of vanilla and orange blossom loses their charm and becomes quite similar with a lot of gourmand floral/fruity vanilla fragrances, albeit much more restrained and less syrupy in the case of Contre Moi. The sillage is soft, and the longevity is around 6 hours. Milky creamy in scent and fresh airy in texture, Contre Moi is a perfectly enjoyable vanilla fragrance and easy to appreciate. The simplicity in structure renders Contre Moi a modern elegance, but there are other floral vanilla fragrances that manage to do so (without the play-doh) at a less steep price. If you're interested in a light, feminine floral vanilla, I think Contre Moi worths a try, but I'd also suggest trying a few other options before committing a full bottle purchase.

There is a fabulous Vanilla Pear tarte that i bake that has a base layer of dark chocolate. This is Contre Moi (Stick by me) by Louis Vuitton. Imagine my rustic kitchen tableau: spilled almond flour, dusting of cocoa powder on my apron, a child is playing with playdoh, there is a vase of white magnolias, and that pear tarte hot out of the oven. The kitchen is warm and spicy cinnamon and tonka beans and a lot of vanilla, scattered fresh scraped vanilla beans. The floral bouquet has bits of greenery and almost smells like violets which are dusty. It is a French farmhouse kitchen. This is a hedione gourmand. It makes my husband swoon... Magnolia flowers produce a compound called methyl dihydrojasmonate or ‘hedione’, which stimulates the parts of the brain controlling your emotions and hormones. Hedione, which references the greek goddess Hedone. As the daughter of Eros and Psyche, she was the embodiment of pleasure, enjoyment, and sensual delight, all things that hedione brings to humans! Par contre, (btw) it doesnt last very long and neither does the Vanilla pear tarte, gobbled up quickly!

This is the first LV fragrance I tried and it's already discontinued. Therefore I'm a bit relieved that I like it, but don't love it. Contre Moi opens with a fresh, crisp pear and green notes that are dusted with a thick layer of dark cocoa powder. Like some other reviewers also mentioned, I get a phantom leather note from this. It's a soft, clean leather, but definitely noticeable. As a whole the opening smells fresh and subtly sweet with an interesting chewy texture that I enjoy a lot. I expected this to amp up the cocoa and vanilla and turn warmer in the drydown, but it curiously does the exact opposite and becomes very floral and a bit powdery, still with noticeable green notes. Dewy, lemony magnolia is the most discernable flower in this bouquet. The vanilla only really comes out as a skinscent after several hours. It's there, but far from the strongest note on my skin. This is a pretty, feminine, springtime appropriate and also rather unusual scent. I just wish the beautiful cacao covered pear from the opening lasted longer on me.

Starts off with bright, fresh, mouthwatering - even juicy - feminine florals reminiscent of of Coco Mad or Creed's Windflowers which after 15 minutes gives way to a scent similar to Louis Vuitton's own Dans La Peau which I think is the cacao and the ambrette working together (others have described it as smelling like playdough and it does have a clay like quality initially). Projection and sillage is moderate for the first 30 mins but after an hour contracts into a skin scent. An hour and 30 mins in the playdough scent has transformed into magnolia and orange blossom with hints of vanilla. I'm not sure if it's because of the vanilla or because intensity has fallen off significantly but I detect zero urine-like indolic-ness from the white florals (which IMO is a good thing). Gone after 3.5 hrs. It didn't even make it to 4 hrs.

It’s a shame this fragrance is no longer available on the LV website. They seem to be out of stock and apparently it’s been discontinued? It’s a beautiful fragrance... I tend not to like herbal notes but it pairs beautifully when combined with a heavy dose of vanilla! I imagine a beautiful alpha female rocking this in a designer pant suit, Loubi heels with some outrageous designer purse. She’s kind, carries herself with class, great etiquette, knows what she wants and how to get it. I believe you can still get your hands on a bottle online on eBay or Amazon. Fragrance: 8/10 Longevity: 7.5/10 Silage: 7.5/10

Let's just begin with the fact that this is discontinued/expensive juice. I do love the opening, which is a beautiful citrusy green floral, not unlike Kerosene's Pretty Machine (underrated gem!) It's almost herbal at first, but after a bit of time the sweetness comes out in drydown, and it becomes creamy and sweet, similar to Lalique Soleil. Pear note is a little cloying. I don't get any cacao, but wish I did. It's a sunny scent, and the top notes are beautiful but I find it becomes rather ordinary after the first hour.

Very nice. It opens as a suedey floral and is pretty. When it settles its very much a musky magnolia scent. I can barely detect any vanilla or cocao. Further down the timeline and I get soft citrus notes. I am now very aware of the ambrette. My skin has amped it up as usual and kinda keeps this scent as a like and not love. Ambrette is just too musky on my skin. Overall this is quite a delicate scent even with the notes listed. Low sillage but decent longevity on me.

Contre Moi is smoky and leathery with touches of powdery florals. Reminds me of the smell of the inside of a leather purse you'd find at an antique shop. Imagine opening this vintage leather purse and smelling the scent memories of what was once inside - whispers of a floral perfume and the sweet and smoky residue of tobacco. Mysterious and comforting at the same time.

The projection of this one is amazing at first. It smells of vanilla with floral notes and a savory pear note. In the middle, cacao catches some ground and together with vanilla and the pear, it reached the gourmand genre for me. It doesn't dry down all that interesting, it's still mainly vanilla with slight touches of ambrette, cacao and rose. 6/10

This is nice - really nice but it has little stamina on my skin. I got this as a sample when I purchased a full bottle of Matiere Noire. I won't be purchasing a full bottle of this, as pretty as it is, it just didn't meld with my skin. Green, light, floral with a nice musky note but just like that.... gone.

top notes: very white floral, powdery, botanical middle notes: light, sweet, vanilla, botanical base notes: linear from middle notes not very long performance. Overall a fragrance difficult to dislike, but nothing unique. I'd give it a 8.5/10.

I had 10ml mini bottle Contre Moi and used up. Contre Moi have beautiful harmony with vanilla and flowers,citrus. Floral and femmin but vanilla is fragrant so beautiful same time. Sometimes i miss Contre Moi's elegant vanilla scent.

If you like heavy fragrances, that’s the one. I am in love with LV house. And this one is in my top 5 by LV. It’s good for colder weather, I prefer it for fall and winter. Has typical LV dry down. Like it.

Accidentally I bought it without realize I put a wrong perfume to my chart. At first, I was looking for LV Turbulences, and I don’t know what I was thinking at that time. Since no refund, I give it a try. LV Contre Moi, I smell strong vanilla, and lil bit spicy after dry down on my skin. It’s still smells elegant, but I don’t like vanilla really much. Pretty long lasting on my skin (bout 8-10 hours). I remember my friend told me when she tried my Contre Moi, the smell of Contre Moi stays, though she was sweating a lot after worked out.

On my skin, a powdery-floral “vintage” note really comes through. Does anyone know which note causes this? Maybe it is the magnolia. At first spray, I didn’t like it due to this powdery note. Now sniffing it the second time, it has some appeal. Not a love but maybe it is a scent to get used to. Projection is really intimate, can only smell with my nose up on my arm. Don’t think I will purchase this.

Very poor performance. Sillage and projection are almost non-existent. it is a skinscent at best. opening is very green, too green and almost sickening for me however dry down is ok. not blind buy worthy, test test test.

so i love vanilla scents & gave this a try. BUT i smell orange citrus more than anything. if the orange thing is your thing, this is for you

I got a vial of this because I liked the name. In my opinion this kinda smells expired and I was disappointed. I don’t hate it completely but I won’t buy this.

On a recent visit to the Louis Vuitton boutique to purchase a Christmas gift, I was intrigued by the fragrance display. I had previously avoided seeking out the perfumes because, to the honest, the packaging didn’t really attract me, nor did the hefty price point, and the idea that 7 fragrances were simultaneously introduced seemed gimmicky. The sales associate was quick to point out her two favorites (Rose de Vent and Apogée), and wanted to push me towards those, but I told her I really wanted to sniff all of them. Long story short, I did end up liking more than one, so I decided to invest in the travel atomizer with miniatures of all 7 fragrances. Reading reviews online, Contre Moi most interested me because there was a particular anecdote about Madame Cavallier wearing the lab sample and having numerous strangers becoming so enameled with her scent that they followed her to inquire of it. Hmm. Having now worn Contre Moi twice, I can say it is a very pretty scent, but not that intoxicating. The opening is quite smokey (think of Margiela’s Fireside fragrance, or various Tom Fords), but the suggestion soon turns green and sweet. The orange blossom makes its presence, and then a green, herbaceous vanilla accompanies it. This is, indeed, not the typical “cookie-like” syrupy imitation vanilla extract note — rather, think of a raw vanilla pod broken open, which evokes much of its earthy, plant nature. Occasion-wise, Contre Moi works very well in the autumn-winter chill, and would be very appropriate for evening events or to stay home snuggling with your significant other. I saw some reviewers referenced Dior Addict, which I am not surprised as they share many common notes. However, the mood they evoke is completely different. Whereas Addict is glamorous and overtly sexy, Contre Moi is soft-spoken and sensual, perhaps the kind of fragrance best reserved for a lover who is close to the nape of one’s neck. Sillage and projection are quite soft, and lasting power is about 8 hours or so. As with the other LV scents, it shares a refined tone, which I think speaks to the craft of the perfumer as well as the pedigree of the brand. For me, I enjoy Contre Moi, but will not be investing in a full bottle. I do recommend it if you do like warm and sensual scents and are seeking something that is not overplayed or common.

vanilla bomb baking vanila madgascar vanila sythetic venalin vanilla in your face with hints of alysha vanila and whilte flowers emerge from behind in a creepy way its hard for me to even keep smelling this to review it its just way too sad for such a ginormous house who owns half the other house to come up with such connotations simple sweet retro sweet simple vanilla and white florals in a woody maybe ambery back ground ok those who want to love this may be is smelling something i am not ..again its not horrible its not beautiful its nostalgic its a i am lost for words and thats really strange for me for perfumes usually evoke feelings and i can describe them extremely easily but i find myself speechless in this scenario maybe ei will re post many of those reviews its because those are all second impressions i ve been trying them many times in stores for the past year but i have the travel size bottles now and i am testing them and i am getting nauseated to the core !sorry lv i hardly ever write reviews when i am not in love but i had those in front of me for 6 month and i couldn't resist the urge i knew those were going to be my impressions and again people are different and thats just my own personal impression i am sure there are many people who will be head over heels for those connotations this reminds me a bit from hanna morie only certein facets i loved hana morei though and maybe a bit of casmer chopard i am trying to convey the vanilla aspect imagine those being paired with a certain sweet synthetic accord and white floral maybe magnolia and lots of cocoa accords something you might as well drink in a winter cold night to keep you warm !

Contre Moi by Louis Vuitton is a fragrance geared towards gourmand and vanilla lovers alike. Perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud has created a delicate, somewhat floral vanilla scent, which wears light and fluffy rather than rich or heady. You could wear Contre Moi in almost any season, whether it be hot or cold outdoors, and this will be one of its main selling points for sure. The floral blend of orange blossom, rose and magnolia smells sugary and candied for the most part, and the vanilla lends a powdery, creamy touch to the composition. Notes of cacao and ambrette add a touch of warmth to the drydown of Contre Moi without detracting away from its airy vanillic feel. I also smell a lot of iced pear in this fragrance which provides an interesting hint of fruitiness, particularly during the opening top notes. Although Contre Moi isn't quite 'me', I thoroughly enjoyed wearing this fragrance due to its complexity. Louis Vuitton's fragrance line is a mixture of interesting and not-so-interesting scents. Thankfully Contre Moi is one of the better fragrances from this line. The longevity and projection of Contre Moi is superb, lasting a decent eight hours on my skin, (and could have possibly stayed longer had I not needed a shower). This fragrance is unfortunately still disgustingly overpriced for what it is, but I'm hopeful that the price may decrease as time goes on.

I smelled Dans La Peau and Contre Moi at the store and was given samples that I tried at home. The first notes are smokey dark leather and white flowers with a transparent rich fruity blended vanilla with less of the cloying aspects and more of the fruity notes, slight lemony or apricot but not juicy sour or distinct just enhancing the vanilla. I am glad that someone finally created an elegant vanilla that does not turn into a headache inducer or become cake or candy. I especially hate ones that are mixed with coconut, bleh.I bought the monstrous 6.8 oz bottle as per oz it's the cheapest. Warning this scent lingers but is close to the skin so in order to get the best of the blend be sure to smell close to the skin as the scent develops. It can be smelled about 6 or 7 inches away but the best is close up! I like skin scents because I like to know the intimacies of the scent and don't need to broadcast to others. I love the large bottle because this scent is such a mood lifter that I can spritz without rationing. The bottles are heavy simple glass bottle with great magnetic lids. I love this and the Dans la Peau, a smokey leathery salty candied Japanese apricot scent, that I bought a bottle and travel spray of. Ready to try other LV fragrances

First projection is so good. It smells expensive and it has the orange blossom that blends well with vanilla. I have to say I have this feeling that I have smelt something very similar to this from Jo Malone. I can't quite place it or remember the name but I am so sure there is a dupe of this from Jo Malone. This is soft and you would want it to project more for the price you're paying. You may also want something original but this is not it. With all that said I do think this is one of the best from this line of LV. I still have to check the "rarer" ones from them. This could be an everyday scent since it lingers close to the skin yes might as well smell like this in the office or all day. I think I will layer this with other fragrances. They did say that the whole line is meant to be layered together so there's that. I don't want to say it's unimpressive but it is too safe and it does remind you of scents you have smelt before. It still bugs me I forgot the name of the Jo Malone it smells identical to ~ oh well.

This fragrance evolves beautifully on my skin. It's like a dance. The opening is very fresh and spicy and then develops into a warm and creamy vanilla. You can tell this is a very high quality fragrance. Edit: Tried it again 13 days later and after sampling more LV fragrances. I like this more after it sits for 10-15 minutes. The opening I'm not a fan of. The opening is very smoky, not sweet. It turns sweet. I agree below. It's elegant. I struggle to buy a full bottle though. I'm like 90% there. If it wasn't $265-$390 I think I'd be more inclined. There are others I like more. HOWEVER, this fragrance is very unique! For that reason alone, I might add it to my collection. If you ever played with Cupcake Dolls toys growing up, this fragrance smells like those toys. Those ones that had a scent. I do not smell citrus at all. Literally 0. Vanilla for sure. Cocoa, yes, but not chocolate cocoa. It's more cocoa plant. I'm getting herbal notes and a touch of musk.

I bought a dupe for this one (made by a Spanish house), and from the first time I smell it, I thought I know it, smells like something I know and adore for a long time but could not put a finger on. Later that day, it came to me, it was a clear resemblance to YSL Cinema, so creamy and feminine and special. I don't know the original LV, only this dupe. I came here to see if that's really the case, that the original Contre Moi has the same vibe as Cinema, and nobody mentions it. I said to myself that maybe is only this dupe that makes you remember Cinema. But then I learned both of them, Contre Moi and Cinema, are created by the same nose, Jacques Cavallier. So maybe they share the same vibe after all... I am vegan and I will never buy LV, as it is neither vegan nor cruelty-free, so I am thrilled to find vegan alternatives (and not to mention the difference in the price).

Doll babies, for someone that speaks French, all that Contre Moi may as well mean is "deluxe doyenne." The private jet flyer: Contre Moi. The First Class bejeweled: Contre Moi. Box seats everywhere: Contre Moi. Private salon at Saks, Bergdorf, Barney's, Galleries, Chopard, Bvlgari, Boucheron: Contre Moi. Opening is mildly herbaceous and sweet cherry, then a light heartleap and it seems to be a passing moment where one never gets that close to a perfume like it again. There's something there, an amplified flurry of warmth, and then the most cherubic light pink wax. Not a red light lipstick siren in sight. Soft, lightness fluff florals and cherry blossom vanilla.

first spay and is quite citrusy but quickly changes to a very sweet floral on my skin. I wore this in high temperature and what is most intense in my nose is the Narcisos flower along with a cocoa sweetness. It's really fresh and pleseant and not at all up in your nose sweet ( i dont like sweet perfumes) . The downside is that the sillage is not that intense bit the longevity is better. Can stay on my skin for 4-5hs . This could be due to high temperatures right now When i smelled it back in April it was too citrusy and all i could smell is lemon and bergamont so i rejected it right away but the sillage was actually a lot better then.

It is a shapeshifting fragrance that tries to be too many different things. Nothing unpleasant here but I don't really 'get' the vibe it's going for. It is a nonchalant 'interesting' kind of scent for me. It seems to be doing its own thing, not really enmeshing with me, if you know what I mean. Lately, I have been on the bandwagon of trying discontinued scents and this is the least favourite of all the discontinued ones I have tried so far. It's not unlikable but when choosing a perfume the bar is much higher than just that especially considering the price point here.

To me, It smells like more Heliotropine then Vanilla. That distinctive cherry and floral nuance... and add fresh floral which described as Magnolia. And I think that cacao note is working like Cacharel's Anais Anais delice that has fruity jammy smell-it said that perfume has smell of hyacinth and cacao, In this, it showed as rose and cacao.
