Cœur Battant

As a fan of Louis Vuitton fragrances, having already enjoyed Attrape-Reves, I was intrigued when gifted a 10ml decant of Cœur Battant. This fragrance quickly captured my attention, proving to be a delightful surprise. Cœur Battant opens with a vibrant and refreshing burst of pear, complemented by a subtle hint of ambrette seeds. As it settles, the heart notes reveal a beautiful blend of jasmine and narcissus, creating a sophisticated floral accord that's both elegant and modern. What truly sets Cœur Battant apart is its base of moss and patchouli. These earthy notes provide depth and longevity, grounding the fragrance while maintaining its overall freshness. After experiencing Cœur Battant through the decant, I find myself wanting to add a full bottle to my collection. For those who appreciate sophisticated, well-balanced fragrances with a modern twist, Cœur Battant is definitely worth considering. It's quickly becoming a new favorite alongside my beloved Attrape-Reves.

Be still my beating heart, this is BIG fat sweet wedding bouquet floral to start, I LOVE it, i want to spray it all over myself and in my bathroom. It would make a great yankee candle. But the walking on sunshine Fresh-Floral-Sweet-Happy only lasts for a short time, 20 minutes then the 80s come rushing back to me like Stranger Things. Something like YSL Paris, Anais Anais or hear me out: Liz Claiborne! a floral wave of jasmine, narcissus, rose, ylang-ylang, lilac, tuberose, lily-of-the-valley at the heart. Base notes include warm sandalwood, amber, oakmoss and musk (borrowing from the Fragrantica description for Liz Claiborne). Cœur Battant by Louis Vuitton has in common Jasmine Narcissus Ylang-Ylang Moss Patchouli Hours later I sniffed my sweater and it was straight back to 1989 Liz. A lot of these Louis Vuitton perfumes are reminiscent, older and mature. It is kind of gross, but in French when a woman is "older" like Madame Macron, they say that women of a certain age are mûre ie "ripe". They mean over-ripe! This perfume is "ripe" with sweet pear, narcotic flowers that have already popped, warmed over with Moss and Patchouli that make it feel dated, an old wedding bouquet. It was a fun trip down memory lane, but not something that makes me feel alive and want to conquer the world. I wonder what Bridgette wears? She always wears Louis Vuitton...

After finishing a full bottle of Attrape-Reves, I decided against getting a refill because it just has no longevity on me, no matter how much I adore it. I solved this problem with its olfactory first cousin, Coeur Battant, which preserves its delicious, multi-layered self all day on me. Although very close to each other, I enjoy using this so much more. It has a depth and a dark element that AR lacks. So, on with this juice: Cavallier does ultra-refined, mass-appeal fragrances like no other for me. I personally don't get pear, but rather an aromatic, not gourmand, sweetness throughout, mainly thanks to the strong flowers. Big, feminine, sensual but very chic. The sweetness is counterbalanced perfectly by a robust but inoffensive moss and patchouli base (I dislike patchouli fragrances on my skin, so you get the idea here). I've blown half the bottle in just a few months (I have a larger collection, this is almost unheard of) and will absolutely refill when it ends. Despite the RIDICULOUS price, I have enjoyed using this so much that the refill price is almost digestible.

This might be my new signature scent. As I find myself reaching for this daily over my bottle of chanel. Although to my nose they don't smell similar, looking at the notes listed here tells me I must be a sucker for a jasmine, patchouli, musk combo. All my signatures have had some combination of this. However this reads juicy and light aquatic apposed to the more heavy chanel that I'm used to. Despite the brighter top notes she's still very sensual and a compliment getter forsure. Unique 100 percent, I could see this taking off mainstream the same way Flower Bomb did. Although I hope the high price will prevent that. Silliage is perfect on me, as soon as I walk in a room someone always asks "who smells so good". I was given a free sample at an LV store and was hooked. It smelled luxurious, Dewey, and alluring. But most importantly unique. Now I own 3.4 bottle that came with a hefty price tag but if you're gonna own this frag you better own it forreal.

This is quite nice but makes me smell EXACTLY like an airport duty free shop! I guess it's the mix of fruit, florals and patchouli that would usually come from a lot of different scents all mixed together. And sometimes I do kind of dig that! Think the trashiest, pinkest, most fun designer/celebrity fragrance from the early 00s that you always wanted as a young teenager. Plus I agree with a lot of others in really liking the pear. But it's definitely not an everyday wear for me (this was a sample). It came with Les Sables Roses and on me they could not 'feel' more different! Will definitely be on the lookout for other pear notes. Am also slightly confused by the Kenzo World comparison - they're similarly strident, I guess, but World is all about the reddest of red berries and fresh peppercorns. This is much more floral and patchouli-based - only really heavily fruity at the top - so do bear that in mind.

Coeur Battant is a gorgeous linear year-round fragrance. As others have mentioned, the pear really shines here. I see comparisons drawn to Chanel mademoiselle, but CB is far more livelier, sharp and fresh. The patchouli is more so "green" vs. dank and heavy- which is my issue with most "fruit-chouli" scents. I don't necessarily think if you like Mademoiselle, you will automatically like CB or vice versa. CB also performs like an extrait... in fact I would argue that it outperforms LV's Les Extrait line. Outside of Ombre Nomade, I'd argue that CB is the most nuclear fragrance in LV's Les Parfums collection. One to two sprays lasts for days. While I enjoy and own both LV Les Parfums and Les Extraits, their price tags are steep for what they are. I can honestly say CB's performance combined with the fresh pear is 100% worth the price tag.

Juicy, sweet pears with a splash of citrus brightness. Crinkly, crystally white sugar bits around the edges, blending into translucent musk. Sticky ambrette smack dab in the middle of the pie, all the way through the 12+ hour longevity (including hair, clothes). I'm not sure about the florals listed, but ylang is there as a silent support, adding a bit of depth and thickness. Love the contrast of juiciness at a distance vs. touch of dryness if you smell deeply and closely. First wintertime wear today, and the citrus tones are almost cleaner-esque sharp, but just shy, keeping things expressive but not screechy. We're really riding the line though. Sweeter, muskier, and fuller in the warmer months. Interesting elements, but overall a linear, cohesive, more straight-forward scent.

After years of getting the sample vials on eBay, I finally bit the bullet and bought the full size as a gift for myself. A juicy, sweet, modern and elegant perfume with good silage. I personally think its versatile and can be used in the warmer months through to the cooler months. However, my sister who has been smelling this on me says that she thinks its more optimal in the spring and summer months. Definitely expensive but I have been trying to find dupes and just couldn't find anything. People have been saying this is similar to Attrape-Reeves and I do agree so if you like that one, there's a high chance you'll like this one too. Furthermore, design of the LV perfume bottles is a luxurious experience and definitely a pretty thing to have on the vanity.

I wonder how many of the rewiewers here have gone beyond a quick sniff of a test sample... maybe one or two ? The dominant pear of the opening is only a brief appetizer, like those fruit rolls with a slice of bacon you get in some cocktails, but it is just a short transition, leading to the very heart of this fragrance which is purely floral: a suberb jasmine, underlined by a clean Ylang Ylang, not the sticky one of older scents, and à clear cut narcissus of the spring type (daffoldil). The underlying oriental patchouli-moss combo is very weak to my nose, just à faint facet giving more volume to the florals. Cœur Battant is a floral masterpiece with a faint gourmand opening. Élégance absolue !

For me this is a true treasure, as a lover of unusual fragrances!🤩 From the very first seconds it opens with juicy, aquatic-fresh pear, accented by a lemonade-candy note, creating a mood of joy and lightness. The base of moss and patchouli gives the fragrance softness and a lingering trail, making it deeper towards the drydown. The scent seems to play on the skin, sometimes enticing with sweet freshness, sometimes shimmering with fruity-floral notes, offering a sense of lightness and tenderness. Thanks to the harmonious combination of notes, the fragrance sounds very interesting and unusual!

Must say I quite like the freshness of it. I imagine an Amazonian woman in an exotic forest, smelling green bushes of unknown kind, with a fresh water source ... then she closes her eyes and gets transported to her childhood, with granny’s sweet pears, narcissus flowers in the garden and jasmine hanging over the garden fences. A very beautiful sunny and green composition. I think it can also be perfect for any season: I can totally see how the crispy cold air could sharpen some notes while the hot summer climate could warm it up and let it sound on another level.

Coeur Battant is fresh and sweet at the same time. It opens with strong yellow florals and leans quite sweet, I definatel smell ylang-ylang in the dry down as well as honeysuckle and honey, though they're not listed in the notes. To me, this scent is the embodiment of the color yellow and smells so good on my skin - I might just have to splurge on a bottle for summer.

Like other Louis Vuitton perfumes, it's very stylish, fragrant and classy . It reminds me Jo Malone London English Pear & Freesia, also to some extent Aventus for Her . But i think it's better than both of them . Suitable for hot seasons . Dominant Notes : Pear, Ylang-Ylang and Jasmine . Be sure to try it .

Beautiful scent! Smells similar to Elves because they both contain a hidden-creamy rose so I don't know why it's missing in the notes. The only anything from the notes I can smell (or I imagine that I can smell) is perhaps narcissus. The scent profile is LV indeed, rich and luxurious.

This is very underrated from the line and one of my favorites from the brand. It's absolutely beautiful and has great lasting power on me. It's a fresh, grown fruity floral, not juvenile. Would make a wonderful signature scent! Perfect for all weather seasons. Love it!

This is one of my favorites in the Louis Vuitton collection. It has a light pear scent that is less harsh than many Louis Vuitton scents. I think it is suitable for women of all ages and is a good first choice for those branching into LV’s perfumes.

This is a beautiful fruity floral with patchouli to balance it out. on paper, I wasn't impressed but on the skin it's so refreshing and classy. I can see myself wearing this year-round but will undoubtedly be in the spring/summer rotation

I love this fragrance. It’s My favorite from Lv !! Reminds me of a pink mermaid in a field of pears eating vanilla icecream. It’s so unique from Other fragrances in my Collection. Longevity is good and projection is moderate to strong.

I just love this fragrance it's similar to Chanel Coco Mademoiselle minus the musky Chanel signature. Plus con me the initial spray to dry down stays the same. Also the Pear is the star of the show.

this is gorgeous & under the radar obvi LVs ate overpriced but I think this one is worth it ... its versatile & not 9ver powering you can wear this day & night you will just smell delicious
