After that by 10-5 minutes, it turns 180 degrees into the royal layer of roses and saffron, soap, bright, clean, easy and very distinctive. This layer of water oud, very beautiful pink, soapy, a refined perfume in the sense of the word, and it is one of the most beautiful perfumes from the same special collection, and every time the perfume changes and becomes easier and easier with supernatural performance as usual than this distinctive collection, I see it better than the Staller Time, and a winter perfume par excellence and even without exaggeration, I see it right at all times for its absolute ease, you can the first time you smell it will say that it is a normal perfume because it is a promise and it does not deserves This amount, but after considering it, you will discover that it is special, rare and a new and unique composition, and the most beautiful thing I liked about it is the soapy note in the background, something fantastic, a strange perfume, a name, a bottle, a smell, a perfect, but the price is not $ 800, but it Worth the price. As someone who has a deep appreciation for oud, I can confidently say that Myriad is one of the most beautifully balanced oud fragrances I have ever owned. What captivates me most is the interplay between the oud, rose, and saffron. The oud carries a subtle animalic edge just enough to feel authentic and full of character, yet never overwhelming. The rose softens the composition with its velvety elegance, while the saffron adds a warm, golden spice that brings everything together seamlessly. I do believe, however, that you need to have a taste for oud to truly appreciate Myriad. This isn't a fragrance made for everyone, and that's exactly what makes it so special. If you enjoy the beauty of real oud with a touch of wilderness, Myriad is an absolute masterpiece. Every time I wear it, I can't stop going back to my wrist. The slightly animalic oud wrapped in soft rose and saffron creates an aura that feels rich, sophisticated, and deeply captivating. This isn't an everyday fragrance for me. Myriad deserves special moments, an elegant dinner, a celebration, or an evening when I simply want to wear something extraordinary. Scent: 10/10 – Absolutely captivating. Rich, elegant, and beautifully composed from start to finish. Sillage: 10/10 – Projects with confidence and leaves a memorable trail without ever becoming overwhelming. This fragrance is a work of art. Jacques Cavallier really outdid himself with his simplicity that is in itself top complexity. The opening is a warm but light amount of oud that is immediately followed by the cacao absolute and patchouli. Of course this is rose thru and thru with a rather noticeable amount of watery facets thruout the duration of the wear. My ONLY complaint is that while this is an extrait, I only get 3 hours of wear max from this before its a skin scent. Buyer beware this is work of art, but an extremely expensive skinscent work of art lol. And just to reiterate, the opening is the only time you'll smell oud, the rest is the cacao absolute and patchouli playing the trick on the untrained's mind that you're smelling oud even thou you are not. Jacques Cavallier truly is a master in perfumery. What my wife and I like to do is take pure oud oil, put that on the pulse points (neck, chest, wrists, behind ears/back of neck) first and then spray Myriad on top of those same pulse points. You create an amazing aura with that combi. Regarding all of the childish reviews that are saying and using words such as "poopy, fecal, jammy, feces, vomit, cow pat, barnyard, farm, etc" - you can 100% disregard everything they've said. Anytime you see a review those words or any combination of those words, you can rest assured they are immature and only wear shower gel scents.

My husband just brought me a sample as per my request from Harrods and my first reaction was a highly negative one, the sharp oud opening was and is extremely fecal, skanky. I almost struggled to understand the need for this fragrance and definitely didn’t understand why it’s been positioned in my beloved extrait line, from which I have and adore 3 fragrances. The fecal oud note dissipated fairly quickly and took on a smoky note that was much more bearable, then within ten or so minutes rose started to take over which I really appreciated. As the time went by I started to understand this fragrance more and more and I even ‘saw’ that personal touch of mr. Cavallier that made a standard oud/rose combo stand out in its own path. Two hours on and I am thinking there may quite be a possibility that I will purchase this fragrance in the near future, I just need to brace myself for that opening I mentioned.... Edit: well, I’m saving up lol one thing I wanna say, the rose in the dry down is literally the same jammy rose from the perfume Stella! I loved that frag because of the lovely dry down! I’m not saying they smell the same, but those who know both would know what I mean.... Edit2: Noway! What do I know? Jacque Cavallier made Stella.... Hmmm I was onto smth Edit3: yep, it’s mine now. No regrets! The dry down is intoxicating

Wonderful rose-oud release. Absolutely beautiful and natural smelling. I loved this at first sniff but continued wearing the sample for 2 weeks everywhere and finally obtained a full bottle. There's a light barnyard skank (expected) at the beginning but that dissipates pretty fast within 5-10 min. The saffron and oud provides a dry, slightly leathery base. There's also tendrils of smokiness, but more like a suggestion. What I love most are the streaks of salty (think ambergris), bright roses that come and go, contrasting the woodiness like shooting stars in the night sky. Dry down provides an elegant, musky and woody foundation that lasts a long time yet doesn't bore me. There's no sweetness and if any, it feels natural from the roses. I'm not a fan of sweet rose-oud (e.g., Rose d'Arabie, MFT Ouds Collection). This is rose-oud done the LV way - quite unique to my nose amongst a sea of mediocre rose-oud. There's definitely DNAs from Les Sables Roses and Ombre Nomade but it doesn't smell like either. Myriad is a balanced, dark fragrance but the overall feel is airy. There's developments from beginning to end that entertain me throughout its wearing. To me, it is the best from the Les Extraits Collection to date, followed by Cosmic Cloud and Rhapsody.

I'll keep this short, for once. This isn't for newcomers to oud or for guys who think rose belongs on a woman. Great, now that I've lost 95% of guys, hear me out. This is real oud assam. IYKYK. For those who don't know, it's oud which has a well known fecal overtone. To those who rock Invictus or JPG, yes, this will be way out of their comfort zone. To those who love oud and rose, this is right up there. This isn't a overbearing dramatic goth rose like Portrait of a Lady, this is much more masculine, spicy and even dangerously sexy and refined. Definitely for mature guys or at least clean cut late 20s-30s guys. It opens with a blast of saffronic oud and settles into a gorgeous rose blend. I daresay I prefer this to Les Sables Roses. Pricey, yes but definitely worth it if you love The Night. An evolved version of Les Sables Roses. Performance is nuclear (great projection but not chokingly agressive) and longevity is outstanding (10+ hours easily). Say what you want about LV, this is a masterpiece in its genre.

All time favorite! Myriad feels like a genuine work of art. It’s sophisticated without trying too hard, opulent without being loud, and unmistakably refined from the very first spray. There’s a richness and dimensionality here that you simply don’t encounter in mainstream fragrances... It unfolds slowly, deliberately, revealing layers that feel meticulously composed. A lot of the negative reviews come from people who simply aren’t the audience for this fragrance. If someone’s entire collection revolves around mass‐market fresh scents, of course Myriad will feel unfamiliar. It’s not meant to smell like every other person in the room. It’s meant to stand apart. Jacques Cavallier has created many beautiful scents, but Myriad might be his most impressive work! It has that rare quality of feeling both modern and timeless, wearable yet undeniably special. This is the kind of perfume that becomes a signature—not because it’s common, but because it’s unforgettable!!!

They just got three of the Extrait fragrances at the local Louis Vuitton store, and the manager texted me a couple days ago to tell me. I've been wanting to try them for a couple months, especially Symphony and Myriad. I got to try those two and Cosmic Cloud today. I had expected to buy Symphony, but I ended up buying Myriad. I'm not sure if it has real oud oil, but the scent really agrees with my nose! Myriad is a nice, rich deep oud scent, with some rose and spices. It seems like one or two sprays is plenty, whereas I use like at least six sprays of fragrances normally, like the other LV ones. It's like a more concentrated version of Ombre Nomade or Maison Margiela Replica Under the Stars. I'm happy that my collection is growing. I got two more free samples this time too, Le Jour se Leve and Couer Battant. Now I have 19 samples and eight 100 ml bottles from Louis Vuitton so far 🥳

I splurged and bought a bottle of Myriad about ten months ago, and it's become one of my favorites. I love how just three sprays lasts all day. It cost about twice as much as the "regular" Louis Vuitton fragrances, like Nouveau Monde or Pacific Chill or L'immensite, but less goes further, since Myriad is an extrait. I just love that rich, deep woody oud scent. It's a little harsh at first, but then it takes a pleasant turn and I just love getting a random whiff of it throughout the day. Thank god the employee told me to trust him with this fragrance, because if it wasn't him I would've never even think about giving this perfume a single chance - the opening is HARSH, like genuinely rancid like feces of a rotting moldy spicy grandma, the first 2 hours it was on me was unbearable I wanted to slice my arm off, but once the dry down kicks in you discover how insanely good and unique this smell is, I would describe it if an evil gay twink had the best smell of deep seductive roses Thank you sneaky employee for making me want to waste even more absurd amount of money on overpriced perfume

This perfume, priced at nearly $760 in my country, is worth every penny. Its exquisite fragrance has swiftly become my favorite, and I am certain I will be replenishing my supply once the bottle is empty. The scent is mesmerizing, boasting remarkable longevity and impressive sillage. It feels perfect for special occasions, with an aroma reminiscent of Ombre Nomade seamlessly intertwined with delicate floral notes and the rich, captivating essence of oud. I struggle to find the words to fully capture its beauty. This masterpiece from Louis Vuitton is, without a doubt, my all-time favorite perfume.

This is probably the longest lasting perfume I've ever try. You can smell it on clothes after weeks. This perfume has a lot of layers. It starts a bit strong but after some time it becames more floral. Yes, the price is insane but it's nothing like it. If I had a bottle of this would last me a lifetime, you don't need more than 2 sprays. This would be something I would love to have and wear on a night out but not something I can put on every day. I would probably get a 10ml decant instead of the whole bottle. Don't listen to the bad comments, try it on first.

This is my absolute favorite fragrance of all time. The way oud is blended with rose is simply unreal. For me, it feels very simple yet extremely beautiful. In my opinion, it is one of the best uses of oud ever. Some people may not like it or describe it as animalic, but I don’t feel that at all, maybe because I am used to oud. Historic, legendary, 10/10. Simply, the best fragrance of all time.

Genuinely the best scent I have ever smelled. Definitely not for everyone. Opens animalic but progresses into the most beautiful scent on earth. Gives me Gotham City-type vibes in terms of darkness and mysteriousness. I bet Batman wears this. The rose and oud are very elegant and feel luxurious. Sits on my skin for more than 12 hours, radiates insanely, and stays on clothes for months.

All negatives comments made by those who mostly using generic designer fragrances. Interesting why they even trying it? Just stick with your toyboys and lataffas dupes. Its masterfully crafted animalic oud and rose combo. Real aphrosidiac right here. Not for beginners but definetly for those who aprecciate quality and not generic perfumery.

LV Myriad is simply majestic. It smells much better on skin than paper. Here you get a really beautiful Rose Oud combo with musk. The rose is really bright. It's like walking through a middle eastern oasis with several types of roses in the garden. Longevity is 15+ hours and projection fills the room. Great quality. 10/10.

Smells like a bouquet of rotting flowers, very oud-heavy. I dont really get the leather in this much, mainly sharp rose and a little airiness from the saffron, again very oud-y and heavy. Beastly performance. I like it a lot and wear this as a guy on rare occasions.

I just tried it, it's a soapy oud that has a strange, a metallic acid and a dark one that has a lot of Myrrh, old fabrics, and also has a strange soap that looks like bubble soap for children's toys.

Another fine creation by Jacques Cavalier, this is how you do a rose and oud fragrance. Luxurious and hypnotizing smell. Unisex leaning masculine. 10/10

Moving over to Louis Vuitton Myriad, part of the prestigious Extrait collection, a fragrance described as “a myriad of olfactory nuances, a tribute to Nature’s genius and to the fabulous diversity of Life.” Let’s look into this very expensive scent and see what it truly has in store. Before I dive in, it’s worth glancing at some of the other reviews if you haven’t already. They gave me a good laugh and really set the tone. Anyway, enough preamble, let’s get into it. From the first spray, Myriad announces itself with a very distinct barnyardy oud and rose combination layered over a leathery, animalic background. It is undeniably a challenging opening. I can easily imagine that walking into an LV store and spraying this on a blotter would make some people hesitate. After about 30 minutes, the fragrance begins to calm down. The saffron emerges, velvety and warm, weaving with the grasse rose. This creates a delicate, earthy, and slightly tart or bitter nuance from the cacao, softening the initial animalic punch of the oud. The transition is subtle but moves the scent toward a more approachable yet still complex character. By the later drydown, around two to three hours in, Myriad has evolved into a smooth and balanced composition with musky oud and rose and a faintly bitter, luxurious edge. The animalic facets do not disappear entirely but have calmed considerably since the opening while remaining present enough to remind you of the fragrance’s bold personality. Myriad surprised me. I am not typically an oud lover, but I do not mind it occasionally, and in this case Myriad wins me over. Compared to something like Ombre Nomade, the oud here feels more barnyardy, unapologetic, and characterful. It is precisely the kind of bold, animalic oud punch that aficionados seek rather than a softened, safe version. I would say this is one of the least safe blind buys I have encountered. The extremely high price point and daring scent profile make it a gamble. That said, for lovers of oud or oud-rose fragrances, it is definitely worth trying. The key is patience. Let it sit on the skin and allow it to unfold, and you might just discover a deeply layered, intriguing fragrance that rewards the attentive wearer.

Real oud doesn't stay "shitty" this long! I always tell people "The reward is in the dry-down," which is one of my justifications for loving potent "fecal" ouds. Unlike The Night however, this does not use enough of the "real deal" to morph into that kaleidoscope of creamy fuzzy sweetness—think "whipped custard" that's oozing out of a tree—instead, it uses a similar "façade" as many cheaper Middle Eastern compositions (except those tend to be more metallic, which I hate). It has become a common knowledge/misconception that poopy=real, but the industry had caught on! Notice how linear it is, and while there are other woody & balsamic notes to support the "accord," it has nowhere to go, nothing at the center of the onion, and ultimately hollow. *I actually (moderately) liked this fragrance. It's pretty well done if you don't think about the deceptive promise & high price, and I really liked the vibrant saffron-rose accompanying the oud—never quite blended together but walked alongside, enough to be noticed for its own merit. *If you want to experience REAL rose & oud, check out Beauty & The Beast from Areej Le Doré.

Myriad really is Beauty and the Beast. It is an absolutely gorgeous velvety rose, enrobed in a very barnyard and potent Oud. When I first sprayed this, all I could smell was this incredibly animalic Oud that overwhelmed everything else in the perfume. But within about an hour to an hour and a half, the rose starts to emerge from the murky depths. It’s so beautiful that I wanted more of it, but it continues to be at least partially obscured by the Oud for at least 3-4 hours more. And then finally, about 5 hours in, the perfume becomes its most beautiful self. A dense and satiny rose, (so much more lush than the rose in Matière Noire for instance, which is dry and woody) resting in a bed of wood with a touch of sweet tobacco floating around. The Oud remains, but very much in the background. That little bit of animalic edge it adds feels perfect at this point. The fragrance lasts for hours, no days, really. It has amazing sillage and persistence. Be aware before you spray. Also, I wouldn’t go into any enclosed spaces with groups of people for at least a few hours after first application. It’s that strong.

recently my friend brought me into a Louis Vuitton store for the first time. We stopped at the fragrances and I smelled them all, when I got to the extrait line I smelled every single one and symphony and myriad were immediately on my wish list. MULTIPLE of my friends didn't immediately like it, but after about 20 minutes I got multiple compliments. The initial spray is a bit animalic, but the leathery vibe mixed with the rose overpowers any of that. Within 20 minutes it dries down into a gorgeous oud rose fragrance. It's on the more daring side, but it has that cavalier dna that really comes through and blends the entire fragrance together. It's very natural smelling, def polarizing, but I smell it ALL the time, it's really dark and sophisticated. get your nose on it if you can... it takes over the senses. I had some down time so I went store to store trying to find this and every store told me they only have 3 left in stock online. Then I went to the store near 5th street that has the cafe, and they had it. Sooo happy with myriad, it definitely switched up/elevated my collection.

I was dually surprised by this one: at first sniff, I was taken aback by how pungent and pronounced the oud was—similar to Pur Oud and much stronger than the Ombre Nomade or Nouveau Monde opening I mistakenly readied myself for—and, having experienced the opening, I was then worried that it, like Pur Oud, would remain too intensive for my own taste; only ten minutes later, though, the composition turned out to be well-refined and surprisingly agreeable, boasting an enchanting combination of saffron and cacao not dissimilar to the profile I so have come to love in Nouveau Monde. Though many have rated it as being masculine, to my nose the rosy and less dry focus of Myriad makes it like a slightly more feminine (but still unisex) version of the masculine-leaning NM, which in any case is a strong endorsement!

I already got a bottle of Myriad from a contact in Paris. The opening of Myriad showcases an authentic Assam Oud, that has a bit of bite, but is not as aggressive as let‘s say Pur Oud. Quickly the oud gets tamed by a sweetened rose and a heavy dose of ambrette seeds and synthetic musks. Seamlessly emerging from the base notes, oakmoss is adding a earthy, green contrast to the pink/ reddish rose. The oud is always sticking around, adding leathery touches and weight to the fragrance. The overall texture of Myriad somehow reminds me of Fleur Du Desert. Myriad is fluffy and round with a mossy-animalic twist. It could be classified as an oriental chypre with the usual superb blending of Monsieur Cavallier-Belletrud.

The 'certified poop lovers' comment gave me a real good time! The initial top impression is definitely manure. Extremely animalic, barny. For me, it's similar to that smell that fresh quality manured potting soil gives off. As a gardener, the scent is oddly comforting yet unsettling. It's like I'm repotting a saffron and rose at the same time. It comes off as a type of leather. After the dry down, a lot more mature rose comes through. The white musk peeks in after a while, lifting the scent up. It's like finding fresh cotton detergent clothing underneath a freshly manured dirt bed. Very interesting and I don't hate it.

For me this was a strong like. It’s definitely a 4.2+ rating. I dont know why fragrantica vote an inexpensive perfume or clone so highly and then a genuinely good relatively original perfume that is expensive so low. The vote is for the scent there is a seperate section where u vote on price relative to value. Obviously this is above a 4 and many clones that are definitely not better than their inspiration shouldn’t be rated higher than the OG.

Inexperienced noses in the comment section. A solid fragrance. Depthy and long lasting. You can tell by their silly comments, who is not an aficionado of ouds and “animalic” notes. If you’re into synthetic “oud accords” then of course you won’t understand it in general when coming across the invigorating notes of nature. Now I’m not saying this fragrance is pure, but it sure isn’t that trashy oud accord nonsense.

Got a decant recently and immediately reminded me easily of Red Tobacco from Mancera, Triumph of Bacchus and another called Colosseum from French Avenue. All in the same vein with small differences between them.

I don't get the poo comparison, yes its strong. Just don't over spray it, and it works perfectly. Overall, it's a good, perfectly unisex oud/rose combo perfume.

I got invited to an early access to smell the fragrance, i thought it would be a dark-gourmand fragrance and uhm idk how i feel about it main protagonist are going to be the ‘Oud’ and the cacao this could be like in the style of nouveau monde... totally unisex but i dont like it that much... the oud is animalic and stinky smells like a less sweet same dark vibe nouveau monde with an animalic oud in it Rather stay with nouveau monde anytime. Not femenine, more unisex leaning masculine. This extraits are like 500dls better buy nouveau plus its cheaper and smells better Not the best launch, but most extrait arent really mind blowing or that good... liked more pacific chill the previous launch

Straight out the gate with the initial blast. I normally want a fragrance that lasts this long. Just not this fragrance. Not eternal or beast mode but it has good performance. It took several hours for it to tame. If you enjoy oud"y" oud...then this is for you. I like some oud. I like Rania J Oud Assam, Amouage Silver Oud, Ceylon, and others. I would even take Zoologist Hyrax over this.This one I would never wear. Potent stuff. Nice bottle. I think what messes with my head more is the color of the juice. When I pick up a bottle with pinkish purple liquid, I certainly ain't expecting that. Good grief. For those that like this and wear it....my hats off to you.

I just did 2 sprays and it is overwhelming, it doesn't smell like a barn or cow poop to me. It is potent though to say the least. This is a 1 spray fragrance, I don't think this is coming off in the shower without some focused scrubbing. Certain notes are not for me and nothing about this is for me. I'm sure some other dudes could pull it off, but this one might sit on my shelf for a bit.

I really like animalic fragrances but those that blend with your skin and have that "perfumed but still human" appeal, like Le Labo Labdanum and Under the Skin. This one though is plain sundrenched manure sprinkled with rose water, perhaps Im sensitive to some specific note.
