Rose des Vents by Louis Vuitton (3A01, January 2023, USD 235 for 97-98 ml.) To be hornet, LV fragrance never be in my eyesight. In the essence that this house seems to be a bit gimmicky; try to capitalize on the uprising sales of fragrance world. After I hit the local bar and one guy wear this layer with Wood Sage & Sea Salt. And it is the mesmerizing rose scent that I never forget. After purchasing; the scent starts with Best fresh waterdrop pink rose. In the best way possible, lust and moist. there is something very expensive Aquatic in this. The rose later bloom and sweeter attached with an Iris. This is just the best phenomenal experience a feel so far. When reach final state, rose somewhat still stay. But Powdery Iris still play; it is such a fun combination. Fun play ground for Rose and Iris working in harmony for the charming hour. I would personally reserve this rose for special occasion only. A dinner in romantic Italian restaurant; A walk in the city side with romance one. A first dance in prom; A representative of Venus' smell. This scent is that mesmerizing. I knows, rose fragrance might be somewhat boring and easy overlook. And It is such an easy grab - Shade of rose, can be easy ignore but for rose lover. I can guarantee you that this rose done well and right. For the shake of Rose lover, please visit LV for a trial. It may make into your final shortlist of rose fragrance. 10/10; best interpretation of Rose fragrance in my little collection.

Rose des vents from LV is one of the best rose perfume I have ever tried. this is totally a bouquet of a sweet blend of the world's best roses. the top notes fade so fast and directly delivered us to a garden of rose in utopia. the longevity is 6-8 hours in me in a tropical city like Jakarta - Indonesia. Whenever I have a bad mood and need a lift, I always come to one of my favs - RDV, Jour Absolu, and Irish D'or Bvlgari. It worth saving some budget to buy this refillable perfume. I manage to keep the bottle last as I wear it on special occasions only. I was gifted by a dear friend during a trip to Malaysia. It was love at a first spray, despite I tried almost all best selling bottles I always come back to RDV. The salesgirl gave me 2 vials as a compliment. My complaints are the price and the weight of the bottle. Not to mention that the traveling bottle is so pricey to buy at store with the same. Thanks to a trusted online retailer - Bilik Ayu - i'm able to carry a single miniature 10ml (for IDR700k/USD47) for traveling purposes. I wish LV will never discontinue RDV as it is definitely one of my favorite perfumes ever.

Yes. It is very linear. A plain rose. But is it really? Rose Des Vents can be interpreted as "Winds of Rose" or "Roses of the Wind" or something like that. You get the idea. But I'd much rather interpret it as a COMPASS. Rose Des Vents. The Compass. The rose notes in this composition is the star of the fragrance. Truly. It is so incredibly linear that the rose never turns sour and/or bitter as it dries down. To me, that speaks of quality. One amazing "feature", if you will, that I get from this scent whenever I smell it, I kind of get a light breeze. Not like actual wind, but the feel of getting a light breeze, scented by roses that are far away- the scent guiding you to the bouquet of flowers, to your actual destination: the office, the mall, the piggery, the barn, what have you. Wonderful. Not the best rose out there due to its linearity, but we need to give it credit for being non-synthetic and consistent. Inoffensive, yet very interesting. 4.8 stars out of 5.

I only have a sample of Rose des Vents, but I think I've tried it at the store too. I've gone to my local Louis Vuitton store a total of six times so far, and purchased a bottle of perfume five times. The third time I went there, and bought a bottle of Ombre Nomade, I requested some feminine leaning samples, to find one that my fiance loved, since she has mobility issues, and it was going to be difficult for her to actually go to the store with me. The nice lady gave me Rose des Vents, Matiere Noire, and Attrape-Reves. Unfortunately, my fiance has ditched me again since then, but I ended up buying a bottle of Attrape-Reves for her, out of the samples. I liked the fruity scent in that more than the other two. The rose scent in Rose des Vents was really good, though. I have gotten a couple samples of Les Sables Roses since then, and I LOVE that one now. This Rose des Vents is like a lighter version of that.

I really loved it and my mom also did. The first time i sniff its just so gorgeous. I had about 10 perfumes currently in my collection and about 20 decants and non of them instantly get my mom attention except this one. The moment right after i apply it she complimented and ask which perfume this is. Very well blended, smell expensive and so delicate. The smell is just so heavenly. Only disappointment is the longevity, i got only 3-4 hrs with 3 spray. I will try 6 spray and see if its gonna be last longer or not. Compare to the price, if its last more than 6 hrs after i did try a 6 sprays then i will bought this for my mom as her birthday gift and maybe i will share it from her too when i want myself to smell elegant 😂 but if not well, i shall decided on that later.

Rose des Vents is a beautiful, feminine, airy and elegant powdery rose scent. I usually look for something with more of a punch so I didn’t really appreciate the discreet beauty of this scent until I tried it several times, but now I’m obsessed. Easy reach for any occasion, this is the perfect allrounder or signature scent. It creates a beautiful, fluffy rose scented bubble around the wearer. The immediate opening is a bit green but this disappears within minutes. I don’t get any fruits or pepper, just plain rose. Smells clean, modern and very sophisticated. The performance is about 3-4 hours with mild to moderate projection on my skin.

I need to set the scene with this. Reads simple, but it feels SO complex. There are just layers upon layers of notes with each smell. I get the sexy from the rose and the black current (which is perfectly primal), then the clean musk to clean the palate, and then the powdery blanket to wrap you in comfort only to start all over again. it’s a cycle; it’s beautiful! Like I said, I need to set the scene. First smell was meh...then I pulled it out at night while watching the stars with a glass of wine and music in my ears. And I got it. It made sense. It felt like clean and dirty; you chose what path you want to follow.

I love it. On my skin, this fragrance opens with an airy, slightly spicy fruity Rose. Quickly it transforms to a fresh greenish sweetish Rose with a slightly milky undertone. Then there is a powdery Rose joining in to make this fragrance a complex Rose melange with a bit of wood and muskiness in the base. It doesn't have a heavy sillage but create a good cloud of scent around me. Longevity does have much room for improvement though for an Eau de Parfum as it only lasts a little over four hours on my skin before turning into a skin scent. I believe it might last longer if sprayed generously.

a perfume for all year round. delicate and feminine , full of roses . The roses in this perfume are very rich and not overdosed. The iris and violet normally are notes that i dispise on a perfume but on this one i cant detect any of them. On the other hand the Peach & Black Currant are notes that i love on any perfume but on this one are only used to balance the roses. I recommend it for spring and mybe autumn , as with the heat it loses its character and the longetivity / sillage drop dramatically.

Very bright very crisp great Rose de May fragrance... I love the green note in this... I am not huge on rose and the fragrance is a very classic rose fragrance not very unique in my humble opinion... So basically I won’t spend my money on but I won’t dare to complain if I got it as a gift do you know what I mean 🤣🤣? Very summery and great for the hot spring days... very feminine but not young it’s like a fair lady fragrance not old and not young

Rarely does a perfume transport me, but this one certainly does. I am taken back to my mom's garden at springtime. The flowers would be blooming through the soil still wet from the snow melt, and the fruit trees would be blossoming. I like that the rose isn't heavy and the soil and grassy smells are allowed to come through. Unfortunately the longetivity isn't more than about an hour or so. It's a lovely and classy scent all the same.

I love Rose des Vents so much!! Feels like it reaching everywhere inside me, to the very last corners of my soul anytime I smell it. It's so unique, so true, so real, just like a field of spring roses right in front of my eyes. It doesn't even smell artificial, totally worth every penny. Great longevity and good sillage. This is the greatest rose perfume I've ever used in my whole life, now and always.

Absolutely ADORE this by the house of LV - it is BY FAR my most complimented scent and I live for it! Annoyingly, the performance isn't as good as I would like it to be (the compliments usually come within 3 hours of spraying) which to be honest is a little unacceptable for the price. I give it a 3.5/5 simply because of the lasting power, but I still love this scent with all my heart!

Fresh rose, peaches, powdery iris, green notes and cedar- that's the beautiful mix I get. The opening could get a little harsh due to the green notes but the dry down is beautiful. Unique? ...not really! There are several offerings out there similar to this and cheaper. I wish it would last longer due to the price; lasts for about 4 hours on my skin.

My wife wears this. No bias. Promise. I love it. It is a musky rose that smells better on skin/air than on paper. The sillage and projection are amazing. My wife gets stopped by women and men to ask what she's wearing. Lasts and blasts for hours and smells niche. A+

Is it just me or there's a slight pickel smell in this fragrance? Other than that, it could have been a beautiful elegant and sophisticated rose scent, too bad it has this pickelish side...

This is one of my favorite perfumes EVER! It's so classy and sophisticated, perfect for all seasons and occasions, it has amazing lasting power and its a complement getter.

A warm and slightly bitter smell of roses ! Reminds me of Creed Fleurs de Gardenia, But with a dominant rose note .

Very pleasant rose scent. Fruity floral dry down.

This is a good rose to wear in the workplace or anywhere you can’t wear something heavy with patchouli or Oud. It’s interesting in that it doesn’t follow any of the current trends in rose perfumes, which are either formulated with a dark velvety edge of Oud or patchouli as mentioned, or the opposite- lighter pink roses made tangy with lemon or pink pepper. This rose is completely different, but still feels modern. It has a green edge during the open that goes so well with the rose itself, making it feel natural. There’s fruit present but overall the dominant note throughout is a slightly woody rose, I’d call it a coral rose, not deep red and not pink. After a while a base of musk and cedar appears, but it wears light and stays fairly linear throughout its life on the skin. I’d say the green notes, the rose and the wood are the heart of this. It’s not a pink rose citrusy light sort of scent, and I really don’t find it overly sweet, what it is is almost translucent. That doesn’t mean you can’t smell it, you can, it has good sillage. It just maintains a gauzy feel like the lightest fragrance floating through the air, as though you are walking through a rose garden but not putting your nose directly into the blossoms themselves, but just enjoying the scented air. It is lightly sweet, leans feminine , and lasts about 6 hours on the skin.

oh i was going to cry for a second !! i was like yes.. finally a beautiful creation from the line..!! the opening of the rose was so inviting ..nostalgic and bright.. but suddenly something emerges from the background a strange cloying accord a synthetic smell you smell when you walk in Dubai mall in those air sprayers hmmm its seatelling down to a more creamy florally rosy accord with strange hints of unknown accords something cheap something rich this is the story of many of the line ! something sweet something diffusive like bug spray ...ok i ll leave it here but i think its my fave from the lot and i am sorry i will not be able to review the others for they have tuberose and higher doses of such white florals nauseate me even more .. the line is great for layering with each other and with other perfumes i can see that they do provide a solid base and your creativity can be the limitless with the amount of perfumes that can easily work well with the entire line sorry for the honest personal opinion..i am sure there are many people who will lo this though.

A Grasse May Rose I visited the Louis Vuitton boutique in Las Vegas a few weeks ago. The store had all 8 Louis Vuitton fragrances available to sample. I was lucky enough to have Cherly G. as my Expert Client Advisor. Cherly was knowledgeable and just plain fun. With Cherly’s help, I tried all 8 samples and I learned a lot about this lovely collection. My favorite of this line was Rose des Vents. This rose fragrance surprised me. I grew roses for many years but this Grasse May rose scent was completely new to me. The rose scent was subtle, strong and enchanting. Grasse must indeed be a very special place.. The notes are May rose, iris, cedar and spices. These notes are definitely from quality ingredients. The perfumer is Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. Sillage on me was fair. Longevity was excellent-I got more than 8 hours of this rosy delight. The boutique is located near the main entrance of the Wynn casino in Las Vegas. If you go, do ask for Cherly G. Enjoy the journey.

Bought at the Louis Vuitton store in Vegas circa Winter/Spring of 2022. The LV website states the following: "A navigator’s indispensable tool, the rose des vents – or compass – is the traveler’s faithful companion." How appropriate considering the regional differences in the three roses being used. Difficult to distinguish one from the other, however, although they do evolve over the length of wear. A bit of fresh, sweet, green and lush rose-scented rainwater at the start before a more dry, more powdery, more mature rose settles in later on. Ultra-posh. A bit airy without becoming fleeting. I can still detect it after a solid 5-6 hours.. my husband says he can smell it on my skin the next day (!!). A see-through musky rose powder remains far longer than expected. Pure, understated elegance. Appropriate for any age, office wear, daytime, etc. Refillable bottle as well which is super nice.

LV perfumes have great silage but don't be fooled, the lasting power is very weak especially compared to its initial bang. it's aptly named, roses in the wind. the strength of 3 rose notes bursts in and then blows aways in the wind. i think in the case of the 2 ive tried, or at lesdt for this one, this is because of the type of notes they used. they used smells that just aren't long lasting by nature. when you see violet leaves in the base of the pyramid, be assured that they didn't design the wood and musk notes to live out to their potential. this is because they didn't want to leave you with a drydown of woods and musk. (otherwise the violet leaves woud be in the middle where they belong) Violet leaves just don't have the natural capacity to outlast the full potential of woods and musks, so LV designed the woods and musks to die out with the violet leaves

This isn’t usually my scent profile but this has pleasantly surprised me! The rose is very fresh upon opening, quickly it develops more that I can smell those fruity notes that are just incorporated at the perfect amounts. The fruits aren’t sour or pungent leaning. The dry down is velvety smooth because of the musk and iris although this isn’t vintage or outdated smelling because of it but the rose and fruit are still the front and centre. It’s a unique scent that I haven’t really smelt before, it smells expensive and has great projection and longevity, I can smell this on myself strongly 6+ hours in to wear. This is a great modern but sophisticated scent, I’m not typically fond of fruit heavy scents but this is really nice. Although, if you dislike rose then give this a miss. This has peaked my interest in other LV scents.

I smelled this on stranger yesterday and asked her what she was wearing. It's a bright, sweet rose and peach fragrance. Every time I was near her I caught whiffs of her silage and it was very pleasant. I found the peach most dominate and the black currant, rose, cedar and orris root were very noticeable too. To be honest, when I asked her what she was wearing I expected it to be a new Bath & Body Works spray or some sort of Escada summer edition. I was surprised when she told me it was this LV. I liked the fragrance well enough to ask what it was, but wasn't expecting it to be a high end luxury designer. It doesn't smell very expensive, but I do enjoy the smell. It's a gentle, bright fruity rose with a nice creamy feel to it.

its a rose perfume a bright rose perfume a happy rise perfume a fun rose perfume a young at heart rose perfume its vibrant almost everecent with a hint of sweetness the berries peek up ten minutes latter with a fruity facet its a bit metallic on my skin and has a synthetic smell which some people enjoy but i don't! i like its fresh aspect its floral aspect and fruity aspect it lies on a musky woody base that makes it bloom as you wear it its perfect for layering and for hot humid temperatures it reminds me of joyful by escada and its flankers and many mais stream floral accords like eternity moment and others it takes me back to the era of Paris ysl with ts floral bouquet its a classic floral with a modern twist

the best way to sum up LVs Rose des Vents is 'surprisingly original but too light'. It is (in my opinion) the best fragrance to simulate a rose. It is light and doens't overpower you, by being powdery or sweet. It is minimalistic and true to the flower, not the rose-note in our minds. It doens't feed on our notions of other rose-fragrances but surprises you with originality. It's a majestic combination with depth, but lacks sillage. But we shouldn't be too surprised... the title of the parfume is 'Windy rose' (loose translation). I can truly recomend that you try this fragrance, but be warned: it's original but fleeting character doens't justify the hefty price tag.

As someone who rarely traverse into the realms of floral and especially roses, I understand this fragrance. She’s like the clean, got her life together, maybe have a trust fund and doing finance girl that you see on tiktok. The embodiment of simple, elegant, not the most dimensional or multifaceted girl you ever met but she doesn’t have to be. Rose Des Vents is sweet bright and powdery without smelling like someone’s grandma. The wood and pepper pull through to balance the childish fruitiness and the old vintage powder. It’s not special but inoffensive, crowd pleasing and so fancy hotel suite smelling (suitable for work or networking events)

extremely rosey with lemon undertones off the bat, and a floral finish. first impressions when spraying is that it’s floral and light (although rose can be cloying for some). this to me is a great day to night perfume, sexy but still flirty. as with all LV perfumes i’ve tried, it isn’t super strong. after a bit of dry down, it’s much lighter and the rose mingles with the other floral notes. lemon juice fades into subtle citrus rind and overall light goodness. im going to try to layer this; i think having a bit of additional complexity would take this up to an 8/10 for me (im rating it a 7/10 now). very faint on me after 1 hour.

I just tried this perfume today for the first time and I really, really like it. This is a very sophisticated, high class, expensive in smell and in price perfume; very nice. It's an uppity rose frag. Great for day and night, but this is to be worn at expensive restaurants and expensive shopping experiences. I picture a daddy's rich girl that has always had privileges in her life. She's young, in her 20's, and spoiled.

Pleasant, airy, mildly soapy, feminine rose fragrance. Nicely developed bed of nuance. It doesn’t all develop, one note on top of another, like so many frags...an instant messy rigmarole. Instead, the bedding presents itself one note at a time, until it dries down at which point it becomes a messy rigmarole. 😑 There’s a peach note and I really wish they’d dialed up the intensity, but they didn’t...😒

For me this is mainly rose fragrance with very slight fruitiness and a lot of iris. So it turned quite powdery in the overall picture. Quite unisex except for the slight fruitiness and the fact that it’s powdery so that made it lean slightly feminine. Nothing fancy and nothing stood out, making this very easy to wear, but also made it quite mediocre. Still very likable in term of scent.

I love everything about this fragrance the bottle, the package, color, the lid... But the only thing I don’t like it is that after few hours wearing this, this perfume starts to smell very cheap. It is fruity, floral, fresh, light, powdery, rose and peachy but for the price it has I don’t want to smell cheap in 1 hour after wearing this.

Absolutely lovely, for a girl or young lady, for everyday, very feminine and innocent. Crisp, fresh green dewy rose. Not a groundbreaking scent but would be a very nice gift (if you can afford it to buy to your loved one). It has a LV DNA in it, so test it if you like anything else from the range.

While it is pretty, it easily gets boring. I've worn this now for 5-6 times and I changed my opinion from 2I need a bottle" to "whatever", I'm not spending so much (LV prices) on a simple rose scent. A better option would be for example, MFK a la rose for an easy "pretty rose".

Rose, just green rose. I got this one as a surprise freebie in my sample order from a decanter I frequent and it's nothing too crazy. This one is not a bad fragrance at all by any means; but this isn't something I would shill out $300+ for at all. It's pretty cozy, green rose.

The most boring rose scent I ever encounter and cannot believe it from Louis Vuitton. Do me a favor if you look for an effortless rose scent, try Roses Greedy of Mancera to be sensual and lustful. Something unique and classy, try Portrait of a Lady by Malle. Thanks me later.

A fresh and simple rose scent. Slightly soapy as well. Nothing groundbreaking but smells very pleasant and is inoffensive. Would be good for daily wear, especially in the workplace. Really impossible to dislike this unless you hate the smell of roses.

If you ever had Escape by Calvin Klein...this is that. This has a tiniest bit more rose. It’s bright, breezy, small hint of rose, watery, tea essence. I loved Escape in the 90’s and I love this too.

This reminds me so much of a Bond fragrance I've smelled and I *think* it's Scent of Peace?

Good stuff if you’re into rose.

A fruity floral blast in the same vein as YSL's Parienne or Young Sexy Lovely. Very 2000's generic designer fruity floral aimed at young women. There's a bit more weight in the form of orris root and a weird iris (or LV's interpretation of iris, at least). In one word: redundant. Don't understand how LV gets off on charging as much as they do for what is essentially a clone of something already released a million times already, but surely some sucker is out there buying this snoozefest. Boo. Overall, 2/5 - though there's nothing particularly polarizing or unwearable about the fragrance itself, the redundency and utter lack of originality is, frankly, insulting.

This review is a little mixed unfortunately. The perfume smells beautiful and the simple, yet luxurious looking bottle looks perfect on display. I found that this fragrance just doesn’t last on me. For the cost of this fragrance, I was expecting a long lasting, compliment getting fragrance and unfortunately it’s neither for me. I still wear this perfume but I don’t think I will be repurchasing as I really prefer something with more longevity.

This will choke you out in the beginning. I get a very turpentine odor like scotch pine not Xmas tree scent. More medicinal. Peach and rose are present making it a wet rose, kinda watery. Iris is not doing this favors. This rose is utterly bizarre.

Sorry but not sorry, this smells straight up like air freshener :(
