Almeria

Someone said borderline gourmand and that is exactly spot on with this, this very much has the same vibe as those Christmas dried oranges. Seen a lot of people saying this is a rose fragrance, it’s not. What this is, is a sweet peppery orange with roses and tobacco in the background. This would eventually evolve into a rose scent in the dry down after the citrus notes leave. Longevity is actually alright but man the silage is terrible after an hour, it literally becomes a skin scent. This is a great winter/fall scent, wouldn’t wear this in spring as it’s giving off too much of a festive vibe and it’s just not fresh enough

Creamy almond tobacco rose, spicy black pepper, sweet caramel. Borderline gourmand, coming from the caramel and almond. In the same vibe as Tuxedo but no patchouli and minimal vanilla. Also reminds me of Atomic rose, the greenness and hedione. Loumari all have a really high quality smoothness about them. Blend is really lovely, you can smell a little bit of each note listed yet they’re very well balanced.

I don't know why they keep talking about oud here...this fragrance has NO OUD. My favorite of the house. Spices, resins (elemi runs the show here), some tabaco and lovely woods, it may sound like a heavy/dark/winter fragrance but its not, you can easily wear this during spring and fall. Hard to dislike, different and long lasting. It can easily become your personal everyday scent.

oh yeah baby, this is great! If oud satin mood by MFK was to much for you as to me it just has this stank to it ( oud ) .. and want something with more character this is it. 2x the quality of any PDM's easily

Beautiful tobacco, pepper, and almond opening that quickly dries down into a rose-bomb in the style of Toy Boy. High quality and unisex.

This is good stuff. It is high quality and smells divine. Love love for me.

I'm testing this blind, not knowing anything about the brand, fragrance, or notes. This opens up floral (on the rosy side) with spicy aromatics. It has a fairly light body to it but still nicely layered and dries down to a light vetiver-like woody element at first, with a tad of smoke while remaining fresh, green, with a pine-like edge. A little later I detect a bit of citrus floating around, adding to its refreshing side. It definitely falls into the category of fresh and green (at first). Interestingly, later in the day it becomes more floral, becoming more powdery light and rosy as the day goes on. It leans ever so feminine as time goes on, but I still consider it unisex. Looking at the notes, I hope my description is more helpful than trying to decipher such a variety. You can get a sense of how these notes fit into my experience, but I didn't expect the caramel, which does add a slight sweetness, but it is far from being cloying, and the fragrance balances this sweetness well. Overall, I'm impressed with this fragrance and it's layers and how it evolves. I don't know if it is a great fragrance for myself, but it's worth considering and giving it less than a smile seems criminal. It's price point is great.

Creamy rose caramel. An almondy citrus caramel with a lively fizzy top from the orange, black pepper, and elemi. Bright, fresh rose begins to peek through once the opening settles, with a clean musky cedar base. Moderately strong projection for 2-3hr fading over 4-5hr, longevity 8-10hr. Actually reminds me of Atomic Rose, with the green stemmy part replaced with caramel, as the rose here smells like it's similarly mixed with an overdose of hedione. Almeria doesn't have the vanilla drydown, though.

I'm on my 4th sample from this house, and until now every one of them gave me the same feeling. High quality niche, from which i can recognise a few other niche parfumes. In this case it's Tuxedo and Oud Satin Mood. Refined, smooth, good longevity, weak to moderate projection. I'm getting the feeling that this house is extraordinary, it has some of the most well refined perfumes i have smelled.

It's nice but the cedar base is throwing it off for me. The cedar in the base is making this seem like a woody perfume and it does give a slight pencil like cedar smell at the base and dry down for me. Loumari is an outstanding brand though. Everything they do is top tier. Maybe it's just my skin I don't know.

Rose and almond right out of the gate. Not cherry-like but rather a buttery almond. Warming up I get light smokiness, and cedary spice, the rose staying front and center. There's a citrus element keeping any sweet impressions bright. This is my first impression of an elemi fragrance, and if this is typical of this resin, I love what elemi brings to a fragrance. The dry down is a balanced rose and oud spiced amber musk. It's a solid like from me. Edit, Nov. 13 2022 -- Kayali Sweet Diamond Pink Pepper is the little sister to this, with a slightly more syrupy sweet rose cupcake note plus saffron. Both very beautiful and unique in their own right, both beautiful spicy rose oud. If you prefer more of a youthful scent bubble go SDPP. Almeria lasts much longer.

To my nose, Almeria extrait de parfum is primarily cedar (a wood note I dislike) and rose. The other wonderful ingredients described just don't come through for me (chemistry?).✿ Scent family: Oriental Gourmand Longevity on me: long-lasting

YMMV-- This is harsh chemical/cleaning product to me. Disgust. I can't stand the structure of most contemporary perfumes. Whatever chemicals perfumers have been using to provide oud/cedar/ambroxan/pepper notes, I find them repulsive. I purchased a sample of this from ScentSplit based on the Smelling Great fragrance review for Almond fragrances.

Loumari may be best know for Porthole, but Almeria might be their most well-rounded creation. Almeria is to fall what Porthole is to Summer, only Almeria is actually the better composition. Honestly, I'm surprised this doesn't get enough hype,

Could be very nice, but for me because of the smoke it smells like some kind of luxurious mosquito repellent incense stick. Like MFK made an incense with Oud satin mood smell

Smells to me as if Diptyque's L'eau and MFK's Oud Satin Mood had a spectacular lovely baby

Better than both naxos and tuxedo !!
