Bois Intense

Just got a chance to sample this today..we got in four from the line at my job & this was my favorite, for a warmer note dominant scent it’s very delicate & soft but still let’s you know it’s there, on me I get a comforting prominent Iris & vanilla with mild spiciness with the amber & incense. Where’s close to the skin but I like it for its subtleness. Can’t say much on the similarity to Dior’s Bois d’Argent as to not having a chance to sample but must say this is blended quite nicely and very enjoyable deff. made it to my wants list.

This is a amber-iris-myrrh oriental fragrance - think Valentina Myrrh and then dilute it to make it suitable to wear all the time for everyone- even if they did it all at once in a 8x8 room. The silage is low - this is a skin scent no matter how much you spray it (please believe - i tried to overspray, body and clothes) but it does last 8 hours. In short, this smells very nice, if you like the notes - you will like this fragrance - it will last 6-8 hours but it will not be beastly. BUT good golly this smells delicious.

I agree this is a skin scent. I like this a lot. At first there is a weird scent when you spray it...almost alcohol like. My next impression is that this perfume blends everything really well. The vanilla and incense stand out a little bit, but otherwise it is a very nice fragrance. It was a blind buy win!

This to my nose is pure vanilla with a touch of smokiness and bitterness that make it more real than all the other patchouli-floral 'supposedly vanilla gourmands' everywhere. If you are familiar with the little plastic vanilla powder vials sold in supermarkets to be used in cakes and sweets (we have them here in Greece anyway), this is exactly what this perfume smells like. Simple, linear, and for what it does it is really good. Its beauty lies in its simplicity. Beautiful non sweet vanilla that you get soft whiffs of even with the smallest amount possible. I have this in sample form so my first spray was so cautional just in case I didn't like it, that I sprayed the tiniest amount possible. In general, I feel that perfumes should not be oversprayed, so yeah, this is a like for me for sure!

I was intrigued by the variety of notes listed, the reviews here, and an interest in trying some more iris frags so I bought a bottle at a good deal. This is a very nice wearable blend of iris. It does dry down powdery but retains some warmth and is not too vanilla forward to my nose. Most definitely not intense.

To my nose it's a mix of Bois d'Iris and Orchidee Vanille by Van Cleef & Arpels.... powdery iris and sweet fluffy vanilla with a touch of myrhh. Very nice, cozy scent for colder weather, it could be too cloying in Summer.

This scent is not bad, but so simple. All I can smell is a monotonous vanilla. Where is iris, myrrh, honey or anything else? Sweety, rather for women than for men. Moreover, I can't imagine a man wearing this. Longevity and sillage is good enough, I can smell it almost all day long on my clothes. Bois Intense neither disappointed, nor impressed me. I'm neutral to this.

Sento soprattutto la vaniglia e un po' di iris, l'accordo iris-cuoiato non si sente, l'iris arriva prima e la pelle è impercettibile nel fondo.

a very pale powdery iris-vanilla ghost. Similar to She Was An Anomaly by ELDO with a sour ambery base almost unpleasant. mweu...

Oh no! sorry guys but to me, this is really unpleasant. I get a weird reaction every time I spray it on. I rarely get such reactions from fragrances but this one turns my stomach. It smells as if someone was smoking some cheap flavoured cigarellos while wearing some type of sour smelling baby powder that's gone bad. Almost, puke like. Yuck! In the Trash it goes 🤢

Unlike almost all iris perfumes, this one has been done so well, a harmonious blend of notes, none of them overpower the other ones. Starts with cypressy iris and dries down to a smoky ambery vanilla, myrrh in the background. All of these notes, iris, vanilla, incense, amber and myrrh are there all the way. Despite it's name, this is neither woody, nor intense. Woody notes are definitely there, but are not that strong, and I cannot smell honey, leather, musk or juniper notes at all. Regarding intensity, not a power house, but if you re-apply it it can last longer. If you want a cozy, warm, everyday non-mainstream autumn-winter scent for an affordable price, this is it. For me, it is a big like. Semi-sweet and leans more feminine.

Great start, ambery iris and lots of vanilla, and definitely saw the vca bois iris comparison. For a few moments anyway. More soapy, and all these other notes listed are friends of jasper the friendly ghost. Where are they? So unfortunately not really impressed, it also goes super quickly and dissappears. I guess you get what you pay for with this line, and if you really think about it, is it really less expensive if it only lasts a minute?

First off the presentation of the bottle is beautiful and LPDO attempted to give us a niche quality fragrance but at a very affordable price. That being said the incense comes off somewhat synthetic and gummy. The performance is really short lived but for the price as an introductory fragrance to incense or different kinds of spiced vanilla, this one may be worth a try.

Is this heavy on the patchouli? Sometimes the votes are unreliable.
