Mieloud

I accdentally bought a sample, it just caught my eye and made me curious about honey-oud mix. The smell is surprisingly good and what is important it resembles my beloved Under my spell Noelle by Benefit, which sadly was discontinued. First I feel mostly the Oud-honey-cinnamon trio, very oriental and refreshing, it lasts quite long. Then it settles down to ambery flowers, patchouli, smelling like a good oriental inscense. Makes me feel cosy andcwarm. It is definately a fall-winter scent, not very potent, but it stays on skin around 8 hours. I have other samples from the company and the scents are weak comparing to this one. I am considering buying it, but after trying other oud-honey perfumes to compare.

Tested this today in a fragrance boutique. Yes...similar to Montale Honey Oud and Floris Honey Oud....but....waaaay lighter!! I have had the scent on top of my hand for several hours,and it is still there. This drydown is IMO, vanilla/ambery...with a tad left of the "honey". The Montale Honey keeps the honey going.!! I own Montale Honey Oud...so this LPDO Miel is a pass for me,even tho it does smell great !!

Exceptionally good honey-oud combination, well blended, balanced and mature, smells great on my skin. Girlfriend loves it. Longevity is really good, with moderate projection but still noticeable at a close distance. Perfect for a date night.

I have read some pretty mixed reviews about this one, so didn ́t expect to love it. But I do! It ́s really scrumptuous, warm blend of oud and honey that is best worn throughout Nordic winter (right now it ́s -7°C outside).

I remember seeing this fragrance on one of Perfumania's store "clearance trees", initially testing it on my arm, thinking, "ew, no way", and walking away. I think fragrances with honey in the top do that for me. I left and while walking around I'd get a whiff every so often that was more and more pleasant each time. After about an hour this turned into something very nice, thanks mostly to the vanilla. The leather and amber mix with it wonderfully, giving it this sharp creaminess that helps it project, but softly, similar to John Varvatos JVxNJ Crimson. While reading over the notes and sampling, I also noticed it bearing a striking resemblance to Givenchy Gentleman (1974). Mieloud has less patchouli (a plus for me) and also much less citrus/herbal forward in the top. The addition of oud in the base also helps start to quell the sharpness of the patchouli in the mid. So if you long for something similar to GG (1974) that is more modern, give this one a try. 7/10

I bought a set of decanters (lockdown purchase...) and I was disgusted by almost all of the fragrances I tried: they smelt cheap and most of them left a VERY unpleasant smell on my skin (like pee, idk). One of the few exceptions was Mieloud, I found it intriguing, sweet and well done. Very similar to Honey Aoud, maybe a little sweeter.

Nice and rich for such a cheap fragrance

Non sento nè miele e nè oud, il patchouli copre tutto, comprese le deboli note floreali di testa. La cannella compare leggermente nelle note nell'aaciugatura con cuoio e vaniglia. Lo trovo paradossalmente legnoso e acquatico.

I purchased this after sampling Montale's Honey Aoud and falling in love. Sadly, this is a pale comparison. I know (and agree) that Montale can smell synthetic - but Honey Aoud unfolds magnificently! This one just does not. It smells completely synthetic, and I have since passed it on to someone who isn't bothered by it.
