Epidor

Oh my lord this is beautiful. Jammy plum, golden citruses, lush full orange blossom, candied violets, honeyed earth. A golden land of beauty, and plenty, a perfume that takes you to that paradise w/ every sniff. This is what heaven must smell like. It is so yellow, so sunny, so uplifting. Honeyed, languid, fluid, Epidor's charms pour out like a golden wine and fill the air w/ a mesmerizing haze of pollen heavy flowers. I can imagine bees chasing someone who would wear this outside wondering what flower is this? And why can't I drink its nectar and gather its fragrant pollen? Yes, Epidor is nectar, nectar of the God's. I must have this. Full Bottle worthy and then some. Edit: 5/1/23 I've been comparing Epidor w/ 2 other perfumes in my collection that remind me of Epidor. Those are Givenchy Amarige and Lancome's Poeme. Epidor reminds me more of Poeme in a lot of ways. It is beautiful and for those that are super upset w/ Lancome for discontinuing Poeme and can't find a bottle they trust should seek Epidor out. I think they will be pleasantly surprised. It has that same warm floral, golden pollen, vanilla earth, land of milk and honey quality. I went ahead and bought a FB. I couldn't resist.

This might be my new favorite scent! I wore it all day yesterday and kept catching lovely wafts of it all day long and it was just a delight every time I smelled it. Great longevity, with moderate sillage. The dry down was beautiful. Its warm with just enough sweetness. I can't say I could pick out the notes listed in the description, as they were blended so beautifully to me. I could definitely pick out the vanilla/tonka/sandalwood in the dry down. It kinda smelled a bit like A Lab on Fire-What we do in Paris is Secret but with a less powdery smell, It was more floral and juicy...if that makes any sense. Floral from the orange and jasmine I'm guessing and juicy from the plum notes. Both these perfumes blend with me body chemistry really nicely. I might just have to wear this scent again today.

Such a nicely balanced fragrance. The top is a jammy burst of warm, floral, sweet plum that lasts for but a few minutes The dry-down, as Michelle1234567 so aptly stated below, "is a light, barely there, sandalwood-floral mixture" on a creamy base of vanilla and tonka. Is there honey in there as well? Lovely. Very much so. Edit: I would like to add that spraying Epidor on my clothes turned it into a sillage monster. My work buddies enjoyed Epidor a lot, but they were surprised that "it was so heavy" and commented that "that is unusual for me". Epidor also blossoms in the summer heat. It's a lot stronger on a hot day than a cold one.

Epidor. It's so aptly named. It's a walk through a fruit orchard right before the harvest, when the trees are heavy with fruit. The bees buzz in the sun-warmed leaves, glutted on the juices. Their honey will be dark and sweet with it. The scent of the flowers in the garden nearby mix with honey, plum, and wood and make you feel blessed to be alive. [if you are into gourmand frags, yeah, it's like that.] It's so beautifully sweet that I'm surprised they didn't put a golden bee on the collar or the lid of the bottle. It would be perfect.

This will be my next purchase. I received a sample of Epidor with another fragrance purchase, and fell in love at the first sniff. To me, this is one of the sexiest fragrances I’ve smelled recently. I used 3 sprays and it lasted a good 10-12 hours on my skin. It’s one of the longest lasting fragrances I’ve ever worn. I can’t wait to get a full bottle of this! Edit: Finally got it two years later, and I still love it. The dry down smells exactly like the first spray on me. It doesn't change. Sweet, floral and woody...right up my alley.

This is all sweetness and light. Just lovely. I am not normally drawn to sweet perfumes, but this one has me hooked. It's not cloying in the least - on me, it is soft and powdery and warm and completely captivating. I even put it on before bed because I wanted to enjoy it as I drifted off to sleep. The longevity is decent, the sillage is close to the skin after it settles down, but I like that too. It's my scent and I'll only share it if I want you to get close to me. Huge love for this fragrance.

Gooood Loooord! beautiful stuff indeed. A wonderful mix of Plum, Tonka & Vanilla. Could be related to first Dior Poison, but this one is not in-your-face-strong like Poison, Epidor is more warm, sensuelle, luring, floating around you, teasing you. Absolutely wonderful, I must say. I don't like Dior Poison, but Epidor - its a must-have.. soon.

I'm realizing that my favorite perfumes always have plum in them, and such is the case for this beauty. This will be in my top 5 favorite purchases this year. A perfectly feminine scent that could be worn no matter the season, time, or venue. Very sexy and romantic.

Dior Poison meets Heliotrope Blanc Piver. It's funny, I smell Heliotrope here... A powdery, vanillic heliotrope (maybe it's the tonka!), with a juicy and honeyed plum. It's simply delicious!

Oh! On my skin: Poison from CDior... Noisome, you are correct! The original Poison... I am enjoying every waft of it: sweet plum all around.

“Classic, Tailored-Sexy, Plummy in Heels” Epidor has been a long and winding road for me. I blind bought it, as I tend to do, and it wasn't what I expected (as this often happens. I never seem to learn this lesson). I was really disappointed. I listed it on ebay for a few days and then took it down to give it another shot. At first, I found the longevity to be appalling. I have since figured out if I overspray and spray on clothes/fabric it sticks around for a few hours (4-5). I definitely DO smell the resemblance to the original Dior Poison. It's got that plummy perfume-y quality. Others might call this retro, or classic or simply too perfumey (lots of aldehydes and a very abstract quality. It doesn't smell like actual plums but the perfumery plums of your imagination). I also don't get wheat or anything golden at all. Epidor is mostly an aldehydic plummy, fruity, woody whisper of a scent. There's this extremely hazy quality that I identify as the aldehydes (but who knows what this actually is). There aren't any crystal clear notes for me, it's overall very hazy and abstract. To associate this scent with a color it would be mauve-gray. Actually this scent is what I thought the original Dior Gris Montaigne should smell like (except without rose). Gris Montaigne was supposed to resemble the color gray, but Epidor is less somber and more whimsical that's why I can't decide between mauve and gray. But after a few weeks of trying to like this, it turns out that I actually do quite like it. This is a ladylike, classic and sexy perfume. This feels Mad Men/1950s kinda sexy couture to me. It really is best described as if you took the original Dior Poison, and instead of it being a rather over-the-top statement making scent, made it a ladylike version you can wear to the office. It strikes me as an office scent that has a secret intrigue -- a hidden dark side. Epidor is the woman in a classy tailored and posh skirt suit that might be wearing outrageous lingerie underneath. This isn't something I'd wear around the house -- but something that seems to feel right when I'm wearing heels. Epidor is quite nice, but it took me a few weeks to come around to it. I can see myself liking this more and more over time and if that happens I'll come back and tell y'all. 8/10 Scent 10/10 Bottle (I love Lubin's bottles) 6/10 Longevity

I really like this one. I get a lot of jammy plum, florals, and some woods. It does remind me quite a bit of a lighter, fruitier, more floral version of Wood Jasmin by BDK. Although there are similarities I think they are different enough to own both. Sillage and lasting power are both moderate on me. If you enjoy plum in fragrances then definitely try this one!

Beautiful and utterly pretty golden floral with lots of honey! I get honeycomb and honey, much like Orange Blossom honey. The Orange blossom in this is light and sweet and so super pretty! Highly recommend try this one out! I must add I do not see any similarities to Dior at all, I get no plum or woody notes.

This is a light, barely there, sandalwood-floral mixture on me. It's close to the skin and barely projects. There's honey there that makes it sweet. This is surprisingly lovely. I don't like white florals, but if I was going to get one, it would be this one. Lovely.

opening is very beautiful sweet floral and really strong. Then surprisingly become stronger on vanilla and tonka that part reminds me new mon guerlain mixed with versace dreamer. Not bad nothing niche that's it.

Lubin seems to be the house of the perfect dainty floral perfume. Black Jade, grisette, epidor all just perfectly classy light feminine. Smells very clean and effortless.

I'm not usually a plum girl, but this is so beautiful! Uplifting!

I was duped by the color yellow. My sample card is the most cheerful bright yellow color, so I decided to try it without looking at the notes and it was an instant regret. I waited a few hours to make sure. Overall a heavy “perfumey” scent, and not what I wanted in the middle of summer heat. Epidor is the kind of perfume that reminds me of shopping and smelling fatigue in a department store. The sweet, stewed plum scent fell flat on me. Okay but not unique or memorable.

I'm kinda testing this blind, getting samples from the lovely reps for the brand at an event. While they had the whole brand on display, this is one that stood out to me to test at home. It's hard not to ignore the bright yellow packaging, and while this suggests a lemony opening, I get more of a bright floral element with lemon to the side and some kind of juicy fruit, maybe grape hiding below. The citrus (if ever present) sits besides powder-muskiness and a general aromatic body to the whole fragrance. Like one of the other Lubin fragrances, there's a dry, almost talcum-like scent when this dries down that I particularly dislike and want to rid myself of. Looking at the notes now, any citrus is just a fabrication of the mind through the packaging, and the white florals and violet explain much. The plum is ever so slight and I wish it was more present. Vanilla seems non-existent. A sweet and fruity fragrance with plum and vanilla it is not. It is more light, powdery, white floral, with a hint of brightness and a touch of that plum. The woods and there far below and provide some rounding out and body. It leans feminine, but that talcum side of the powder leaves me leaning to the dislike column just a tad and I found myself spritzing on a favorite musky lemon scent to get through the rest of the day.

I love Lubin but this perfume disappointed me a lot. I disagree and do not think this is for summer, especially not hot summers (oh gosh please do not do this to people around you!) Longevity and sillage are fine, medium for both But it just smells a lot like violet and weird jasmine to me. A bit of a very very mature woman scent...so mature that she is almost dead. I think I had anti-moth spray which smells similiar to this. Unfortunately, the described wonderful picture I imagined it to smell like is ruined by a not even that complex scent with a granny feeling. After 2h I also get a slightly wet dog scent lingering in my nose and I do not know why...maybe because of the hay feeling that is supposed to be there??

I cant say much more than Mooniq below, this is beautiful but allow it a moment and dont let the initial fruit, plum allegedly, deter you. If you like a powder vibe like me - You just might get it !. I got it and im glad. Epidor is somewhere you've been before. Joop femme or Lebain ? A more liquored Amarige perhaps. Or for me , an easier to wear Poeme. Something of Poeme is definitely in Epidor , with a less musty leathery like darkness for me. If you dont like these, still try, because Epidor is its own. I was debating between this and another costlier high end niche at the time ?. I couldnt deny Epidor - its yellow floating softly spiced buttercup powder was me. It does not remind me of Poison (dior) overall. However as i wear it more, perhaps a quick flash of Poison with stronger facets of the others mentioned, maybe some Femme (rochas)? You definitely feel that juicy purple plum that has yellow gold inside. And, as Epidor dries, it becomes richer, spicier, with juicy touches yet a dry powdery velvety oriental. If your partial to a creamy soft spiced musk - this could also be for you

A luscious, narcotic floral oriental in the style of such 1980s classics as Rochas Byzance, Boucheron and Givenchy Ysatis. Epidor opens with sweet orange blossom and boozy fruits (plum). The honeyed florals light up the room and harken back to a time when perfumes were loud, unapologetic and glamorous. As you might have guessed, the fragrance is incredibly evocative—it brings to mind so many forgotten classics (no doubt due to the orange blossom, amber, woods and fruit combo that was so incredibly popular until the mid-1990s)—and yet Epidor is completely singular. To the traditional warm woody base (sandalwood, cedar, amber), Lubin has added a heaping dose of coumarin—intended to evoke the aroma of wheat or hay, in keeping with the theme of the fragrance. I think noisome and irizayo have nailed it: It's vintage Poison! I used to love Poison, but trying it again lately I realized it's nothign I wuold ever wear. Must be that they reformulated it to death. Epidor, then, would be a great replacement.That being said, Epidor on me isn't fruity or vintage unless it’s like a vintage foundation makeup. I get instead a soft smooth honey/powder musk that reminds of makeup. The woods have a slight nutty edge and blend seamlessly into the base notes. The florals and plum are invisible, showing as a mere suggestion of sweetness and faint tart petal, except after a few hours, when the honey tart notes grow into plum. Lovely.

1) This is from a sample. 2) Epidor is a pretty, pretty, pretty fragrance- grounded in a woody/vanilla base, this citrussy, fruity/jasmine-y fragrance is radiant and refreshing. That haunting note you get is the coumarin, which keeps the scent from being a sugar bomb. Good longevity and subtle to moderate sillage. Spray in tiny spritzes and this makes a perfect scent for every day OR for special spring through early fall occasions.

A lovely plummy floral with a classy, vintage vibe. Within an hour of spraying it, got three compliments, including “you smell incredible!”. The only person who seems to disagree is my husband. Sigh. I have a full brand new bottle to sell within the US. Message me if interested.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Dior Poison, not the sharp mess it's become but the original plummy and mysterious esprit de parfum and parfum! If all of the notes don't exactly match, the overall effect does. It's fantastic.

A Cheerful white floral deep in Honey (vanilla) with a Juicy plum note... Fun, sensual yet still elegant. Its on my wish list ... Long lasting & Soft-moderate sillage!
