Miss Soprani

A very intriguing fragrance, with a definite personality. Very floral, youthful and energetic, indeed. I feel the peony, the ylang-ylang, the vetiver, and the freesia, but I think the other flowers are rather understated. A lovely perfume for summer days. Amazing lasting power for an EDT. I've purchased it after reading the encouraging reviews on this page and I wasn't disappointed. It's true that I imagined it in a quite different way, but the surprise was pleasant. It's a bit like going back, at least in my olfactive memory, in the garden of my grand-mother, where in summer there were always large peonies which, as a child, I loved to smell deeply. 4/5

This one was a good buy as it is very downright, fresh and youthful floral with more than satisfying staying power. If you're looking for complexity and individuality in the fragrance department, Miss Soprani clearly isn't your thing because it is all about being straightforwardly radiant, girly and lovely. It is a good and safe choice for office as there's no chance you'd get onto someone else's nerves by reeking like a barrel of in-yer-face perfume. The bottle and name suggest this is for youngsters only but as a matter of fact I do find Miss Soprani suitable for a wide age range.

A blind buy, but I feel lucky. It's definitely my kind of fragrance: fresh, floral and not too simple. It will be good for day-wear. Why do I keep thinking Nina Ricci...? Oh, by the way, the bottle deco is hideous! It looks like a cover illustration for one of the books my grandmother gave me, because my mom used to read them. It would have been a lot more lovely without it.

„Looks is not everything” I cannot refuse a good bargain. While visiting a perfume shop I came across a booth displaying, among others, Miss Soprani. Not knowing the scent and not being able to try it, since this was the only example they had, I thought, like so many other times: What the heck! I bought it and I have not regretted it. It is not, and will never be, my favourite. But it is a decent scent; a pleasant and a bit anonymous scent that no one will be offended by. The review is for the edt: The two major notes are peony and freesia. They both come on strongly from beginning to end and I have severe difficulties in registrering other notes, apart from guava. But it works so well in this scent. The longevity is really good since it lasts more than eight hours on my skin. I actually experienced several people noticing and commenting on what I was wearing, so the sillage is more than an arm’s length. I get loads of compliments when wearing it. The bottle is what I call a misfit; a scandal; a monster. The bottle itself is anonymous, made of clear glass with a minimalistic swan or the number 2 carved in - but the decoration...? Is it meant to be retro 60s? Is it supposed to signal youth? Is it for tweens? Whatever the message is, I don’t get it. But all-in-all Miss Soprani is a great buy.

When I came across this fragrance online, I'd never heard of the brand - but I figured for $10 (30ml) I could always give it away if I didn't like it. Miss Soprani turned out to be a clean, inoffensive floral fragrance. Like a warm day amongst a field of flowers. Light enough to wear in the office without giving your colleagues a headache. Sad to say, I did end up giving it away though. I had only used it a few times, when it began to make me sneeze violently every time I wore it. There was obviously a note in there that didn't agree with me, which was a shame.
