Australian Wild Jasmine

Wow I love this. I've been lucky to be able to try all the Lucy B offerings, and this one is my favorite, followed by Pink Frangipani. It helps that I love every note that's included in this. I don't find it sticky/oversweet as some others have, it actually seems more bright and fresh to me. I love jasmine and it's very prominent in this, along with the magnolia. My husband walked in the room and said he doesn't like it since it's too strong and flowery (he has a sensitive nose and doesn't like very strong things). He says it "borders on air freshener, like a glade plug-in." He didn't get sticky sweet from it either. Well, I totally love it, regardless of what he thinks. I love strong scents and most florals, and this is a gorgeous jasmine magnolia scent. Onto the want list it goes!

Such a beautiful jasmine! Not unnatural and overpowering like in Alien,no it smells fresh and natural,like real living jasmine,freshened up a bit with the pineapple and magnolia , but none of the notes take over,its all about mild gentle Jasmine! Love it!!

This one smells very similar to L'instant by Guerlain. Propably because of magnolia. I would say that it's going to be perfect for fans of L'Instant. :)

Personnaly I liked it but when I wear this perfume my kids are always telling me that I smell like suntan lotion :-( Such a pity... cause I do like the smell.

I got five of Lucy B's perfume oil roll-ons on clearance for five dollars each. At that price, I had to give them a whirl. This one is definitely my least favourite, even though I expected to like it the most - I'm a sucker for jasmine. The opening smells very much like overripe bananas, or banana-flavoured candy. There's a stickiness to it that just doesn't please me at all. After about twenty minutes you can start to make out the jasmine at the heart of the scent and the fragrant water lily and magnolia at the base, but you can still smell the syrupy opening notes. Those notes never really go away entirely, and frankly, ruin the composition for me. I don't detest it, but it is all in all way too sweet and candy for me. Overall it has a very 'muddled' feeling to it, not much separation between notes. Maybe that's because I have the perfume oil. Sillage is not bad for the first hour and a half, to my surprise, since it's a perfume oil. Longevity is all right (about four hours in one spot), but it spends the end of its life as a skin scent (however, in the interest of full disclosure, I have a problem with scents not staying on my skin). Eh. I don't feel very strongly about this. It's not for me.

Lucy B WILD JASMINE really caught me by surprise, as I was bracing myself for a rough and feral (aka indolic) jasmine soliflore. Instead, to my delight, WILD JASMINE is metaphorically named to describe an enticing melange of magnolia, lily, and jasmine petals floating atop a vat of gingery pineapple juice! For a few minutes I am loving this fragrance, the mingling florals are so luscious and exotic, ebbing and flowing in wafts of delight. Unfortunately, everything goes south from there, for the pineapple becomes stronger as the florals fade, leaving me with that tale-tell pineapple stickiness and a pile of wilted, suffocated flowers by the end. In the interest of perfumic veracity, I hereby fully disclose that I have an official "pineapple problem," so if you like that note, you should definitely give this creative composition a sniff.

This is a nice jasmine/magnolia fragrance. It's light and airy, however it gets dragged down a bit by the pineapple which adds a sticky sweetness that reminds me a little too much of candy. It also disappeared almost completely within 30 minutes.

Maybe it is because I have a mild cold, but I couldn't smell anything 3 seconds after I applied it.
