Pink Pearls

This is how a young lady should smell like. The fragrance is soft, feminine, lady-like that I can imagine a young lady wearing cashmere cardigan, pleated flowing skirt and a pink pearl necklace. The fragrance lives up to its name. Nice choice of selection of the apricot-grapefruit-orange flower accord for the opening. The opening lasts and lingers while the base notes emerge. Soft, gentle and pretty. Nothing edgy here. The fragrance is well rounded apart form a little bit of bitterness from the citrus and sandalwood. All the notes blend together nicely creating an image of a perfect young lady. Longevity is moderate, 5-6 hours. Silage is about an arm length with 3-4 squirts. My second Lulu Guinness fragrance and I'm in love with most of them.

Pink Pearls by Lulu Guinness is perfect. It's absolutely lovely. It and the name are perfectly synonymous. And the words they've used in the spelling of pearls is also perfect. It's a gorgeous bottle too. So cute and pretty. So charming. The most delectable pink. And with the black cap - well; it's sublime. It gives you such a snug, comfortable feeling to look at it. I feel as if I'm IN the bottle. I feel loved by it. And what a delightful arrangement of ingredients! All of the notes come through beautifully, and the dry-down is soft, smooth and comforting. It lasts so well, and has the most lovely, gentle sillage. My husband adores it on me. I do too.

I recieved this lovely fragrance as a gift from a generous member. I absolutely adore it! Its about time for me to start thinking about moving from my heavy winter fragrances to some spring charmers, and this fit the bill perfectly. And, charming indeed! My indroduction to pink pearls occurred in frozen january, and at first sniff i was reminded with joy, that there are living things at work under the snow, waiting to show their little faces come spring! Pink pearls is a charmer, fresh as a spring breeze. It opened for me with the grapefruit, and lemon notes, and surprisingly, the grapfruit is sticking with me, even after two hours. Tulip, buttercup, and flowers follow, and to me, it is very inspired, as these two particlular blooms take me back to my mothers garden on the farm... The underlying sandalwood, and amber are gently done, and do not bring the overall composition down into anything too heavy. This fragrance is true to its namesake, and takes me back to sundresses, and gardens... Truly beautiful. After further inspection, the grapefruit stays very well on clothing, while the fragrance becomes softer on my skin. Lovely combination! Thank you nathalieZ!

I received this in a swap as an extra from a very generous member!!! I actually like it more than I thought!! I own Nanette Lepore.. and its dry down on my skin smells very similar. It has that fruity, plastic (good way!) sweet smell if you know what I mean.. Its quite a girly scent.. nice addition to my collection!

Having read a lot about this fragrance I was so sure that I would like it. So, I ordered it without trying it first. I did not like it at all. Some compared it to champagne. And I do not like any sparkling wine. Probably that's why I hated the opening. The drydown is pleasant and not powdery to my nose, I would say fruity - very light apricot nectar. In my opinion, this scent is best suited for ladies who do not want overpowering perfumes. To me it's just boring.

Testing this fragrance has helped me finally figure out that "apricot" notes do not work with my chemistry. The apricot note has taken over the entire composition and made it extremely bitter on my skin. I expect, on the right person, this would be fresh and fruity. For me, unfortunately it does not work.

A wonderful drydown on this one for those who love sandalwood and amber, sweet and powdery. Notes: Opens with a burst of orange flower, tangerine peel, and pink grapefruit. Whimsical heart notes of pink tulip, buttercup accord, and apricot nectar. Finishes with a soft embrace of tonka bean, warm sandalwood, and sheer amber. Pink Pearls - The "radiant" floral features notes of pink grapefruit, tangerine peel, orange blossom, pink tulip, buttercup, apricot, tonka bean, amber, and sandalwood. The fragrance is a tie-in with Guinness’s new book, Put On Your Pearls, Girls! and was available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

This is very citrus, but for some reason, I don't find it overpowering. There's just enough floral in it to keep from smelling like a lemonade stand. I think it's sunny and refresshing.
