Dessert Chantilly

I'm between a like and a love on this one, scent-wise. It's a little too plain and lightwearing to be a true love / masterpiece in my collection, but I do really enjoy wearing it. I personally do not layer fragrances, nor would I be okay with paying this price for a very small "layering" perfume. Luckily, I do actually like it on its own despite it being a little boring. While this is not marketed as a marshmallow scent, it's pretty clearly adjacent... and compared to the popular marshmallow on the market (Delizia, WTF, Crush, etc.) this one has very little of that telltale smoky note to it. I'm particularly sensitive to salty-smoke in these types of fluffy vanillas so I do detect it at initial spray, but find that it dissipates quickly. What is left is a very light, buttery and creamy vanilla. Now the price is absolutely *offensive* -- especially because of the packaging. Lumi's other scents have much more interesting and luxe packaging, but this one looks like a cheap, rando TJ Maxx bottle. If I'm going to objectively overpay for a perfume, at least let me feel fancy while holding the bottle. I won't pay full price for this, but will watch for it on the secondary market and then hide it at the back of my shelf so it doesn't offend my eyes.

Who said vanilla perfection?? A new vanilla delight! Talk about the crème de la crème of vanillas. Dessert Chantilly is a velvety & creamy vanilla. The warmth of the caramel and whipped cream makes this the perfect vanilla custard frag. Lumi truly outdid themselves with this release. The perfumer took the best from Tana and What the Fluff and created MAGIC! Step aside Vanilla Tana, there’s a new boss in town!

A whipped, airy caramel-drizzled vanilla cupcake. Sweet, a little bland and uninteresting if I'm honest. I think it'll make a great layering base however, so I'm not too upset. Update: I wear this under almost everything now. If you're looking for something vanillic, dense and buttery to bump up your gourmands, look no further than this gem.

Very basic but probably the most realistic marshmallow smell I've ever tried (to be fair though, I haven't tried the super popular ones yet). The projection on this is soft but catches the breeze. It smells exactly like the inside of a bag of marshmallows, nothing more, nothing less.

This smells like a more potent version of lait de biscuit. It’s still soft and airy but creamy and vanillic. I do l like it a lot but I do wish it lasted longer (although it does last longer than lait de biscuit)

Lumi Dessert Chantilly is a very intimate salted-buttery vanilla custard that has powdery nuances. Projection barely there after the first 10 minutes which was already soft. There's this sheer fresh berry cream mixed in the opening to me or maybe I'm going crazy lol. The butter I mentioned is noticeable but not nauseatingly savory and it doesn't make the caramel smell nutty or like popcorn. Idk if it's the salted butter or tart berry that adds a nice sour freshness to the vanilla whipped cream and sugar custard, but it's very well done. It also has a nice dusting of sugar powder, most similar Kyse perfumes Delizia di Marshmallow. All in all, I guess that's why it's named after Chantilly cream.

What the fluffs more powdered sugared prominent cousin. Super yummy and sweet like a powdered sugar confection. It does have a very strong rubbing alcohol smell when very first sprayed which is its only downfall but thankfully it only lasts 15-30 seconds. I do think this smells lovely, however I do think it’s a little costly due to the price to oz ratio as it’s very small and only 1 oz. So I’m not sure this soil be a repurchase but I will definitely be using it. I did blind buy and It is a great addition to my gourmand collection .I got this recommendation from kels on tik tok

I absolutely ADORE this - its a shame the bottle is so small! If you love a sweet, vanilla perfume then you will love this. It smells like Angels Bread minus the yeast note. To me this smells like the custard part of a creme brulee. Divine! Unfortunately it isnt beast mode but you'll get gentle whiffs throughout the day. I hope one day to have a 50ml!

This is a very lovely simple vanilla. To my nose its almost exactly Kyse Delizia de marshmallow after the first 15 mins or so. Although, I think it has a little more of a pure vanilla extract type of thing going on. You really don't need both imo.

This smells like Delizia di Marshmallow, but with the marshmallow powderiness turned down and the creamy frosting turned up. It's a good gourmand but the size + look of the bottle is not worth the price it is going for, it's giving TJ Maxx.

Can someone explain to me how it smells like Cheriosa 91? I just smelled it and it has this like passionfruit and rosey smell and this seems like not fruity or floral at all from the notes. I’m genuinely curious btw 🥹

This is delightful, it's like I can smell actual dusting of powdered sugar in the air :) It's also a bit savory from the butter (I believe) but it still remains really light and fluffy! I really, really like this one.

Vanilla custard? Yes but also very buttery caramel. Not like popcorn though. I get mostly custard and a powdered sugared scent but honestly it lays too close to the skin for me. I still enjoy the scent.
