Finally! I have been waiting for this to be added to the database for so long and now I'm very excited to review it! The fragrance starts off with a blast of lemongrass and lime. If you love lemongrass, you'll find this intoxicating. It's very fresh and summery. Oh but wait... there's more... As the lime and lemongrass fade, the tonka and vanilla come out with a hint of caramel. The drydown is like a creamy, sweet cheesecake, with a sprinkle of powder. It's thick, delicious, and so unusual. The lemongrass with a hint of citrus never really leaves, but remains in the background even through the drydown. From the topnotes, it would seem this perfume is more suited to summer, however the drydown is rich, thick, powdery, sweet, and to me could be more suited to Fall. One more thing I appreciate about this is that it reminds me of my beloved Avoshower limited edition shower gel. I am clinging to the last ounces of this with my life but the perfume helps fill that hole! Overall, beautiful, unique, lovely perfume. Sillage and longevity average to above average. A-

At first it starts off with a blast of lemongrass and lime.... very strong! But only minutes later it fades away and a vanillacaramel note along with the tonka appears, sooo delicious!! Mmmmm, a unique lovely scent with a powdery hint.... reminds me a little bit of a cake but at the same time very fresh. One of my favorite from Lush along with Karma, Love, Ginger and Orange blossom... by the way... I love most everything from Lush :)) Till en början doftar den citrongräs och lime.... mycket starkt! Vaniljtoner och karamelltoner finns dock med hela tiden i bakgrunden, sååå ljuvlig. När de första skarpa tonerna har lagt sig (ganska omgående) tar vaniljkaramellaktiga och tonka bean över och 25:43 doftar ljuvligt!!!! Mmmmm, en unik underbar doft med en aningen pudrig känsla... påminner lite grann om en bakelse, men samtidigt fräsch. En av mina favoriter från Lush, tillsammans med Karma, Love, Ginger och Orange blossom... för övrigt äääälskar jag det mesta från Lush.

This perfume captured my fancy at the LUSH boutique in Abu Dhabi in 2012. The top note is definitely lime and lemongrass with a bit of hay. When it is first sprayed, the smell is a bit overwhelming so go easy on it if you are going to be in tight quarters quickly. Once the top notes mellow out, the base notes with caramel, tonka, vanilla come out to play and on my skin, the result is a very nice gourmand fragrance that makes others within my personal bubble say, "Something smells amazing. Is that you?" This is simple, yet classy and light scent for the type of girl or perhaps guy that likes a fresh, citrusy beginning with a warm & decadent end. Definitely a unique fragrance that I would recommend to those that are looking for something delightfully innocent.

I loved this perfume from the first sniff. I was in lush store buying shower gels and sniffing my way around the store when the sales person asked me what perfume I was wearing. I'm pretty sure I stupidly applied lemongrass and vanilla essential oils directly to my skin. She pulled me over to the perfume display and sprayed this for me. I went through two bottles and multiple travel sprays during the time that it came as in production. I worked at a department store at the time and I smelled different to most people working on the sales floor. Getting complimented that you just smell good all the time and not overly perfumey is the best. It was earthy, sweet and fresh all at the same time. I haven't found anything that smells like it since.

25:43 made my LUSH YUM list. i love this scent. LOVE. i'm big into lime so right away i'm like, "OH LIME!" which makes me smile like a crazy person. then i get hit with heady waves of caramel and tonka... tart and sweet and tart and sweet. its projection is so yummy it may trick people into thinking you're a tiny, cupcake! so be warned, they may try to eat you. nom nom nom YUM LIST: 25:43 b scent imogen rose love cocktail dirty 1000 kisses

I love this scent! I smell Lime and Tonka Abs at first with a little bit of Ylang Ylang. It's not strong to me but it is very addicting, I find myself smelling my shirt several times after I spray it on. Reminds me of Coconut Lime and sun bathing in Hawaii.. One spray is all I use. One negative is that I find it does not last more than 2 hours.. I have tried almost all Lush's perfumes and I think I have found my favorite though!!

I've held onto this fragrance for a ridiculously long time but I love it. It's very long lasting and sillage is wide. I wore it one thanksgiving and my family asked if I'd been baking before arriving - they smelled cinnamon/ginger on me (similar to another reviewer!) I haven't been able to find a single fragrance like this again, and I miss it dearly.

I had a travel spray about 10 years ago and this scent was remarkable for its uniqueness, longevity and silage. Why was it discontinued? I loved this on my skin and so did others. I received many comments that I smelled like cinnamon rolls, which seems strange with the note breakdown, but it was sweet fresh and clean with a little edge.

I have to agree with Sweetiepea, this reminds me just like a sweet, zesty cheesecake. i personally adore this, though i am a fan of incredibly sweet fragrances. This one is definitely girly, though whilst i'd not think of a bride when i smell this one, it does remind me of the first, fleeting tropical holiday romance

I have two signture perfumes and this is one of them. At first a little strong smell of citrus but it calms down and then I smell vanilla and something like gingerbread, a soft and warm smell. It's a gorgeous perfume and I have got compliments both from my family and others.

Love this! Starts off with a burst of lime. I really wish the lemongrass in the opening would last longer. Later it mellows out into this delicious caramel and cinnamon. The dry down reminds me of L by Lolita Lempicka. Will be buying a full bottle of this.

The first fragrance I ever truly loved and called my own. I had the solid and it would stain my neck sticky blue. Still find myself drawn to ultra sweets and citrus 10 years later.

This is a review for the body spray as it doesn't have its own listing here on Fragrantica. Simply put, it's a citrusy, cinnamon fragrance. Smells like a Lotus Biscoff biscuit to me, actually. Has massive projection with decent longevity for a body mist. See, to me this is probably an example of me buying a fragrance/body mist of something I like the smell of vs something I want to smell like. Unfortunately, I've only learned the difference between both very recently and this is definitely one of the scents I like the smell of, but have realised I don't necessarily want to smell like. It lasts ages on clothing, but the cinnamon smell is quite cloying upon dry down so I only prefer to spray this on my skin for a softer dry down.The storytelling behind the original perfume definitely did a lot to sell this perfume to me though. Will eventually make use of it entirety one day, but this is just a bit too overwhelming for me to wear often.

This is a strange but sort of fun fragrance. Initially it is very citrusy with the lemongrass standing out, but within 10 minutes the citrus notes are nearly gone and it turns into a sweet syrupy tonka bean and vanilla scent. It seriously reminds me of the cinnamon buns you buy at the mall with the slightly lemony frosting (cinzeo I think) which is nice. Unfortunately following the hour or two of "cinnamon bun" goodness it becomes cloyingly sweet caramel. Overall this is a fun cheap and cheerful scent if you like gourmands, but it is very unbalanced and not particularly well blended. Maybe if Mark Constantine had spent more than 25 minutes making it, it would have been better, oh well.

A wonderful, fresh perfume. Everything comes together quite well in this perfume. You'd expect the litsea, lime and lemongrass to overwhelm this perfume, but they meld in so well with the tonic that they don't stand out as top notes, but settle in to create a deep ambery, silky, and somewhat sharp scent. While this would be great in the summer due to its freshness, the caramel aspect makes it a great evening or even autumnal scent. You'd love this if you're already a fan of Lush's Turmeric Latte, Love, or Cardamom Coffee. A wonderful scent I'd love to see come back, but I'm glad I still own.

Very good, This turns from a very fresh and strong lemongrass to a slightly spicy, almost gingerbreadish citrus/gourmand fragrance which is honestly very unique and a great blend between fresh and clean and spicy and sweet. I typically don’t like sweeter scents but this is a great one !

This smells like Yankee Candle's 'Vanilla Lime' candle! Very zesty but smooth due to the vanilla base. Not overly complicated, but a nice summer/autumn scent for every day wear.

This fragrance starts out promisingly enough, with lime and lemongrass so persistent that you'll be lulled into believing you might have found a cologne that will last for more than a hour. Then there's a really inept transition to a horrible caramel note. The two co-exist for a time - which is a real stink. Strong and nasty stuff. Question: What kind of a perfumer brags about the short amount of time it took him to throw together a fragrance? Answer: One who is being way too clever for his own good.

Loved it at first. Smelled very similar to SuperMilk. After buying it, I thought the dry down became soo sickly- sweet that it was actually nauseating. Unfortunately I can’t even fully enjoy Super Milk anymore because it smells to reminiscent of the dry down of this.

Holy crap!! I just had a epiphany about this fragrance. My original review is underneath, but I just wanted to add that this smells EXACTLY (from beginning to end), like fruity zebra-stripe bubble gum that was sold in the U.S. throughout the 80's and 90's. I can't believe it. ... I appreciate 25:43 for two reasons. The first is that it evolves big time, so I don't have to wonder whether it is my imagination that the fragrance has changed completely on my skin. Often, but not always, I feel that a scent is losing its character as it develops instead of transitioning through distinct and beautiful phases. Compositionally unbalanced or not, 25:43 expresses itself unapologetically from start to finish, and never leaves me thinking my imagination is to blame for the appearance of its unique faces. The second reason is that it smells pretty good! It is definitely weird (after discreetly spraying it on my arms and then getting into a car with my boyfriend's relatives, they remarked that something smelled "WEIRD, like cloves and tobacco or something... What IS that?!" However, to my nose, it smells good because it smells weird. Beauty and strangeness do not necessarily go hand in hand, and one absolutely does not imply the other. However, on my skin, the beauty and the strangeness work out. They just do. It's weird though. No doubt. Here's what it smells like to me: Fresh and realistic lime oil/lemon grass citrus blast changing to: sweet cinnamon bubble gum flavored mouthwash changing to: powdery Cow Tail brand caramels with the vanilla cream center (with all of this "changing to" stuff, I feel like this fragrance was based on the I-Ching), and finally tonka bean with a trace of Nag Champa incense. Longevity and projection are only slightly above average, which I feel in this case is a good thing, because this is more of a carnival ride type experience than something you would want people to associate with you. Unless, of course, you are a carnival ride of a person. ...and no, I do not get any cloves. The End! --

Lush founder and autodidact perfumer Mark Constantine tends to wield citrus oils with a heavy hand, so I braced myself upon reading the ingredients list for Lush 25:43, near the top of which are lemongrass oil and Persian lime oil. The first two ingredients are alcohol and tonka absolute, and I am happy to be able to report that the sweet tonka wins out in the battle of the notes. Usually the lemongrass and lime oils used in Lush creations are at nose-burningly acidic concentrations, but here they have been moderated to some extent by the tonka bean. Which is not, however, to say that they are not still strong! Apparently this perfume was composed in twenty-five minutes and forty-three seconds, which is probably twenty minutes longer than most Tweet-esque perfumes being pumped out by the multilaunchers these days. All in all, I'd say that this creation is not bad for a half hour's work. I find it to be more of an event perfume than something which I'd choose to wear in a regular rotation, so I won't be acquiring a bottle, but it was nice to imagine what the wedding of Simon, Mark Constantine's son, must have been like. I suspect that there were plenty of drugs on hand. Perhaps they whipped up some acid-laced Koolaid punch?

25:43 IS an interesting one. Actually quite the little masterpiece for something created in less than a half hour. Delicious, candied, spiced, lemon/lime. A scent that is both fresh and warm. As one review states, this is almost like two separate fragrances in one. Opening with the ever so zesty and mouth watering lemon/lime sharpness of a frozen margarita, 'summer holiday", but then drying down with warm caramely/vanilla spices, and just a hint of lingering citrus,"winter holiday". 25:43 is a gender bender with a refreshing and unique duo personality. But as unusual as it may be, also possesses a clean, casual elegance. I could definitely see this as a wedding fragrance for the right individual.

What kind of woman lets her husband's father decide what she smells like at her own wedding? Will the father be featuring heavily during wedding night/ honeymoon, I wonder? And indeed, what kind of perfumeur brags about how quick it was to compose a perfectly mediocre (or perhaps "inept", as some say) fragrance? Having read the name, I was expecting to read some hulabaloo about the magic of the 25th hour. But no. It's much worse. I'm not usually fussed about how my scents are packaged/ sold /marketed, but this tale is creepy and off-putting enough to make me stay away from this purely on principle.

I adore this perfume. One spray in the morning and it lasts me right up till bedtime. I love the zesty citrus top note but love how it develops into a sweet caramel butterscotch scent with a touch of powder and just a hint of citrus like a kiss remembered. So many people have asked me what it is that I'm wearing as they love the smell. My fave perfume of all time has to be Yves Rocher Rose Ispahan (special occasions only - unfortunately down to my last few drops and can only find a couple of bottles of EDT which is nowhere near as good as the Parfum), but this has got to be my second fave so far.

Thanx Allinug for a sample. This one start very citrus and lemongrass-fresh in a very nice way. Then the Caramel hits my nose and it turns syrup'ish. To me its very caramelsweet all through the pyramid. I'm not a fan of sweet or sugary scents - so this one is not for me. Tack Alling för provet. Denna startar med citrus och citrongräs-fräsch på ett superfint sätt. Sen smäller karamellen till och alltsammans blir sirapslikt. För mig är den karamellsöt rakt igenom hela pyramiden. Jag är ingen fan av sockriga eller söta dofter, så denna är inte för mig.

I didn't know how much I disliked lemongrass until I smelled 25:43. When I first put it on, the lemongrass was *so* overwhelming. It took about an hour for it to fade into the background. I really wanted it fade completely away, but it didn't. Being a gourmand lover, the caramel and vanilla dry down was very nice and warm. It saved this from being a scrubber. I can see how people would describe this as a "zesty cheesecake." If you can hang on for about an hour after first spray, it does become something other than lemongrass. That I can promise.

I'm indifferent about 25:43. It's definitely citrusy and very sweet. I'm not a big fan of in-your-face citrus fragrances, however, I adore sweet gourmands. This is both. With each spray, you get b#*!h slapped with lemon & lime, which makes me think of kitchen cleaner, ugh. But, directly after the citrus assault, you're caressed with creamy sweetness. This isn't a fragrance I would ever wear, but I do enjoy smelling it.

A perfume for those who dare to wear unconventional fragrances, like all the fragrances created by this maison. Lemon, lime, lemongrass ... explosion of citrus notes and then change towards more smoky, sweet, candy notes. You do not go unnoticed in wearing this perfume. The history of its creation is known ... the mix of floral arrangements for wedding moments ...

This is a unique scent. The citrus is short lived. It's all day strong tonka bean and vanilla add a hint of caramel. Kind of cinnamon/cardamom like. Not too heavy of a fragrance. But too tonka spice for me! Reminds me of a particular night club where the tables all had vanilla/cinnamon candles burning.

I got this in one of my first swaps and tried it today. I waited for warm weather since I got this during the winter months, and thought the citrus would be better warm, but this is a big no... I love the idea of it, but it smells like lime Lifesavers candy and baby wipes on me. Had to wash it off.

Just purchased this past weekend; really wished I hadn't. Smells like a lemon pie. Fruity, with the crust. It smelled ok when I sampled it, and went ahead and bought it, but after getting home and actually wearing it, I regret my decision. Maybe I can learn to like it.
