Butterball

I love Butterball and Butterbear so I had to have this. It smells exactly like my little Butterbear in my shower! Exactly! Butterball isn't "fruity" in the least to my nose. It is Gourmand in a dessert way, yet it's not something I would be tempted to eat. It's powdery and sweet.I'd rather swim in it! It smells more like cocoa butter and honey to me than chocolate and ylang ylang, but that's just how my brain is interpreting the notes based on whatever stimuli they ignite. For some reason this reminds me of LATHER Honey Propolis Face Mask, Avon Honeysuckle body spray, and Kama Sutra Honey Dust...I have no idea why these scents are triggered in my brain, but there's a definite "honey" element in this, in my perception.I found it in the US via Ebay. I believe its limited release was only in the UK, which is a two-fold shame. This is a scent I will always love. It's unique and very natural-smelling. I often get tired of perfume scents, or they lose their ability to affect me, but the smells of nature always mesmerize me. This smells like a scent in the air on the perfect Spring day...euphoric and comforting.

I am unsure why this is classed as being a fruity scent, the floral and gourmand aspects of it's classification I can go with, but fruity? For those familiar with the Lush christmas product "Butterbear shower jelly" - this smells pretty much exactly like that. Which I think is the point, and I believe the butterbear jelly is just a christmas seasonal product based on the original Butterball bath ballistic bomb fizzer thingy (whatever they call them in Lush!). As I shower rather than soak in the tub, I don't keep up to date with their bath products so I'm unsure if Butterball "fizzbomballistic" still exists as a regular permanent feature on their bathing products menu. Anyway, the perfume itself. well for starters it is beautiful. The floral aspects for me are equally as dominant as the sweeter more gourmand elements, and once it settles into the skin, some light but sensual musks *ok I have run out of energy and will have to come back and finish this as soon as able, sorry*

I am so glad I took a chance and blind-bought this fragrance during the limited release back in December. It reminds me very much of Alkemia's Fleur et Cacao Historiques, except replace the lavender in that one with ylang ylang. The combination of ylang ylang and chocolate is just beautiful. Sexy in a unique way, very light (unusually so for a Lush perfume) and dries down to a wonderfully sweet, chocolatey skin scent that is anything but one-dimensional. Give it a try!

This fragrance is LOVELY! It’s a lovely, warm, powdery, sweet skin scent. Like being wrapped in a warm blanket with a steamy cup of milky hot chocolate infront of you. I can smell it on myself as I move around 6 hours after application. It’s a shame it has a few poor reviews, maybe there is a bad batch going around, because mine is absolutely divine! I never want to run out

It's incredible. I was buying bath bombs religiously cause I love this scent and I was so happy to finally get it as a perfume. It's spot on Butterball bath bomb scent. Cozy, beautifully warm, like a blanket on a cold, winter night. It's not too sweet or nauseating, perfect amount of cocoa.

Butterball is a good name for this perfume, because this is cocoa butter. This is pure Queen Helene cocoa butter body cream in a perfume. My skin isn't that dry, but I've always LOVED the way that stuff smelled, so now I can spray it all over me!

I wanted to love this so badly. I love the shower gel version of this scent (“snuggles”), which is why I hunted this down, thinking it would be a safe buy since I already loved the same fragrance and had tried it. But in the perfume version there’s a sharp metallic note that’s really screechy, like fingernails being dragged across a metal sheet, and that prevents me from enjoying it. I’ve had this for about a year now and I keep trying it at least every month to see if I can change my mind about that note or to see if that note will go away, and it still persists. I’m so sad. 😭

Not bad, not good. This came back a day ago at Lush in Paris, and I was excited because of the name, but I am very disappointed. Just smells like baby powder and talc, clean but deeply uninteresting. I was at the boutique today and they have at least 50 perfumes (without counting the body sprays which must be 20 fragrances), and I think they should slow down on putting out their perfumes and concentrate on longevity and deepness of their fragrance line.

Hopfully i dislike it very much I have so many perfumes and I m a lush addict so I was affraid to buy them all and have pain to my wallet but hopefully I went in a store before blind buying it. To me, it smells like feet sweating. Im happy not to have bought, same for cinders which I didnt like at all

Damn, what a letdown. The bath bomb this is based on has a warmth to it that this perfume decidedly lacks. This just smells like someone wearing too much cocoa butter is sitting in a dentist's office, or the weird kid in class who always has yogurt stains on their uniform. Pass.

Sadly not a fan; on my skin it smells like the literal fat of butter. Someone said Vaseline below and I really understand that - greasy and muted. I was hoping for a lovely, creamy, cocoa butter scent but just got weak fat!

this scent hits like a towel that’s been used one too many times, with mildew clinging stubbornly to the fibres. it’s strong, almost feels as if your inhaling mould straight from the source. it’s a hell naw from me.

I agree this is not a floral fruity gourmand and according to Lush there is no chocolate in this perfume. Yes it smells like chocolate but no chocolate in the perfume.

Worst perfume I've smelled from lush so far. Starts with vinegar, than powdery honey and synthetic chocolate... 15 or more minutes after it finally takes place to a light vanilla. Still very disturbing, without mentioning the fact that it stays like 30 minutes max. I really had high hopes that it smells buttery and yummy like the body wash but not like that, will sell this one...

This is just awful. It has a kind of sour yogurt smell to me. I find it quite pungent. Nothing cocoa butter about this. Thank god I drove to the store to smell it, because I’ll be returning my bottle. A definite no way for me! If you want a cocoa butter scent, go with Sugar Kisses by Lorenzo Pazzaglia!

LOVEEEEEEEE IT!! So warm and cozy, feels like a hug! Starts slightly floral, but then it turns buttery and creamy! Suit so well on the skin, it does not project too much but last a good amount of time!

Been waiting years for this! It is lovely & smells exactly like the LUSH Butterball Bath Ballistic/Bomb. That particular bomb is quite expensive for its tiny size! Using the perfume is a great way of being able to smell the fragrance all day & anywhere without having to have the bath! The alcohol hits in a big way on first spray but once it dries down it’s Butterball all the way. It lasts only a couple of hours on my skin though so that is obviously very disappointing. The fragrance lingers much longer on my clothes. This is not one of the more expensive LUSH perfumes so I’ve bought a few to allow me to top up regularly without feeling too guilty or precious about it! Just be careful if you have asthma or suffer with migraines, as I’ve found it to be a trigger some days

Whew, do not buy a sample of this at Perfume People. (called Buttery bear) It is soooo sour. They whole box smelled only of this rancid floral and now the whole house does. It smells like the harsh opening of Monotheme Bloom, which transformed on the skin a little, but I had to get rid of it, too. Sour smells do not work for me. I was really hoping for that shea butter smell that Body Shop had in a roll up stick form, in the baby/momma section.

I’m shocked by how negative the reviews are for this. To me it smells like Palmer’s cocoa butter lotion (which I enjoy) and honey. There’s a bit of a butter smell to it as well. It’s powdery in the way Swiss miss hot cocoa powder is powdery. I think it’s really pleasant! Nice for the winter!

Cocoa butter! Straight up cocoa butter. If you know how cocoa butter smells, then you know this. I really like it. There’s a niche house called Bruno Acampora which sells a perfume called ‘Ruby’ which is €115 per 5ml of the pure perfume oil — Butterball is the affordable dupe of that.

Sweet, powdery chocolate and vanilla. Would've bought it if it wasn't for the insanely high price tag and the spoiled diary undertone.

i'm not sure if i got a bad batch or not, but all i get is licorice, a tiny bit of chocolate and... mildew? i can't do this lol

Snuggles Shower Gel in perfume form...i am so happy i found this one in my trip to Rome. Its gr8!
