Calacas

Calacas was one of my first products from Lush - at that time, it was a shower jelly. Although that one is long gone from their stores, this spray exactly replicates the fragrance. I usually go for deeper, heavier fragrances for everyday use but Calacas definitely has a special place in my heart. It's piercingly zesty, the kind of citrusy sharpness that makes your mouth water, but it's also rounded out well by the woodsy, earthy olibanum. There's not much else to it, really - it's good as it's simple. And even if you're not a fan of citrusy fragrances at all, like I am, this one will, quite possibly, change your mind on them in just one whiff. Love it a lot!

the body spray smells like lime gummy bears, fizzy ramune soda, and a little bit of powdery smarties. almost a gourmand but still a bit soapy. theres a tiny herbal note in there that reminds me of frankincense incense. like the kind they use at church. maybe i'm projecting, but this is a scent for young women who feel disconnected from that victorias secret/ariana grande flavor of femininity. an androgynous girly girl. a scent for the kind of girls who spent their formative years violently roleplaying warriorcats. this is what a REAL harajuku girl smells like! >:3

Wow. I purchased this body spray in around april of 2019 from the lush liverpool spa when it was an exclusive and it has to be in my top 10 lush scents. Admittedly, i am a bit of a sucker for lush however this is just liquid gold. Like an intoxicating tangy lime sorbet with an underlying woodsyness to offset the sweetness. Absolutely gorgeous. Out of all my lush body sprays this is the one that gets the most compliments, the sillage is incredible as is the staying power. i will pair this with the matching shower gel and perfume if i want a real citrus punch. :)

I love this perfume! The name was changed from calacas to zesty, but this site didn't fix it. The scent is a strong citrus scent, and if you keep sniffing it, you can feel the scent of clothes washed with powder detergent. 한굵삵람읽랅면 공감줅셇욣 웋힑힣

It is not headache inducing or nauseating to me its truly not an offensive fruity or citrusy scent. I am not a fan of fruity scents and this is the only citrus frag that has made it into my collection. To me, it smells like it's 90 degrees out on a sunny day in July and you have a melting lime popsicle in your hand. The olibanum makes an almost smooth subtle woody edge that reminds me of stepping into a wooden cottage in the summertime, where its hot out enough to smell the wood and the clean linens. The frag doesn't give an offensive lime like some people are suggesting. The dry down is sweet and people have told me I smell like smarties.

This gave me a scent memory. Walking home from my dead end job in food service at 11pm.. stopping at the convenience store for some candy on my way, planting my butt on the couch and playing video games until dawn. But what candy was it? I kept sniffing and sniffing, trying to remember. I kinda forgot about it on my skin for a bit, then later on in the day I "randomly" got a craving for Sour Patch Kids! That's what this is. not any particular color/flavor, just opening a bag of sour patch kids and that super sweet & sour goodness slaps you in your face and makes your mouth water before you even eat one. Amazing!

So glad I purchased this over Dad’s Garden Lemon Tree. This one leans towards key lime pie with extra lemon zest, whereas the latter is more aromatic lemon with a hint of lavender (which smelled more after shave-y on me). After a few hours it transitions into a sweet but bright lemon drop (it doesn’t quite border on gourmand). A simple scent none the less but really uplifting and makes you feel nice and perky throughout the day. I think this would be a fantastic post-shower frag and a no-brainer spring/ summer fragrance.

Body spray version of 'Day of the Dead fragrance. Sharp, fizzy lime with sweet uplifting neroli. I wore the perfume version for a long time but tired of the zestiness quickly. I've since learnt my lesson; to switch up fragrances more often.

So pungently limey that it tends to induce nausea and headache for me after a while. Nearly unisex in my opinion.

Literally sour patch kids BUT with a frankincense, woodsy musky twist. So good and citrusy it makes my nose tingle. Zesty is such a winner from lush, I remember when it was the Enchanter bath bomb way back in 2012-2013. I miss the sunset hues but thank god the scent is still around !

As a huge fragrance lover im really surprised to say that over time this makes me feel nauseous and i bought it with the soul purpose of a more affordable after the shower bedtime scent but it actually makes me feel so sick and (worst of all!) unclean (?) idk there is something about it which just makes me feel worse than before i put it on and no perfume/ scent should make you feel like that!

Zesty/Calacas: I'm sure this must've worked as it's original format of a shower gel, but I honestly can't understand why anyone would want to smell of this fragrance. It's really not nice & triggers my migraines, asthma & makes me nauseous. But for those of you that love it, enjoy! Hopefully I won't have to be close to you any time soon ;) I'll be sending this one back for a refund.

I can't say better than Lush itself: a real citrus festival! In contact with the skin, Calacas immediately reveals the sparkling notes of lime, which gradually evolve into the heart of olibanum to tell a Middle Eastern tale of sacred woods, ancient rituals and deep spirituality. Like a revelation, the neroli undertone spreads brilliant happiness and endless joie de vivre everywhere... vaporize to lift the spirits and smile into the night!

They changed the name to Zesty :)
