Candy Rain

I absolutely adore this fragrance, it was originally a bath bomb called Mrs Whippy, which was later made into a facemask with the same scent and name. I have 4 bottles from 2 different batches and each one smells ever so slightly different, but they all have a “berry” type note that I’ve not really seen mentioned. I can’t really smell any distinct chocolate from this on my skin, it’s slightly almond but it’s more creamy than bitter. I’m not sure if it because the facemask smelt like blueberry/raspberry ice cream that’s giving me that creamy berry note. It does take a few minutes to settle. Longevity could be better, it’s one I find myself using often because I want to be able to smell it on myself or catch whiffs. It’s really comforting, it is definitely leaning towards more gourmand but in the best way. If you’ve ever smelt the conditioner of the same name you’ll have a fair idea of what this smells like. I’m sad it was a limited edition as I could wear this all year round!

Extremely startling opening but smells like a week up in flagstaff after 30 minutes. i can smell the merchandise shops they have in old town with all the nut chocolates , and outside is all the grassy foliage coming out of the snow mush. its too mature and moody for me but if i met a girl who smelled like this id probably want her to do things to me

An instant love it smells so nutty and creamy but also smells like a flower shop on a hot day where you can smell them cutting the stems of the flowers then it warms up to this buttery nutty dry down

love it omg so sweet but not sticky dates nor LTGTR sweet, so deep almost woodsy, great, in love

This smells like LDBS... TRUST THE PROCESS!! The "Nasty" Opening: That’s the Buchu Oil. It smells super grassy, cat p*ss and almost medicinal at first spray... but stay with me! 🌿🤢 The Magic Middle: As it settles, the Almond Oil kicks in, giving it that "pink smoker" / powdery vibe. 💨💖 🍭 The LDBS Dry Down: The base is heavy Tonka and Cocoa Absolute. On the skin, these blend into a thick, syrupy caramel-vanilla that mimics the marshmallow sugar in Love Don’t Be Shy perfectly. ✨

this perfume is eternal. great sillage worth the price first use I loved it. second use I HATED it now I have actually worn it out to give it a chance, I LOVE it it's a very unique scent. smoky and sharp, incense vibes but also a sourish candy-like sweetness it's delicious and it's hard to describe but indeed apply at least 30 mins before being around people cos this one is particularly offensive at first

Having used the conditioner of the same name for years, I was quite excited when I saw this as a fragrance. The first blast is a bit much, that herby undertone that you can only just smell in the conditioner is very prominent but it doesn't last too long, and fades to just sweet tonka. Lasts well on skin and an ages on clothes. Glad I tried it, but I enjoy the smell more as a conditioner than a perfume

I can completely understand this fragrance being polarising. Despite its name, don't expect a sugary, candy-like fragrance. Candy Rain leans much more mature and aromatic. The real star of the show in this fragrance is the Buchu. It gives an almost medicinal quality with bold minty, herbaceous facets and a hint of dark berry. It's a distinctive accord that won't be for everyone, but it's certainly interesting. In the background, the Tonka and Cocoa add a softer touch, but it's very subtle. Although vanilla and caramel are listed in the official description, I don't detect these. A little goes a very long way, and the opening is particularly powerful. I agree with those who recommend giving it a little time to settle before wearing it around others. All in all, it's a pungent fragrance and isn't what I will be reaching for on a daily basis, but I like it. That being said, it is not blind buy safe in my opinion. If you enjoy aromatic, herbaceous scents with an unusual twist, it's worth experiencing, but sample before committing.

for a while i didn't quite understand what the initial spray reminded me of... and then it finally hit me; popeyes chicken. yep. sugary, popeyes fried chicken (the seasoning? idk? lol) the dry down is more tolerable but i didn't appreciate the journey there. some days i like it, some days i hate it. i'm still on the fence with this one...

This one is kinda wild because when you first spray it, it is really gross. Strange combo of Super sharp greens that smelt both herbal and chemical and honstly terrible with a light candy-esque sweetness under it. When I thought my skin was projected it weird I asked a LUSH employee what it is supposed to smell like, they offered to spray it on their arm and it was even worse like an assaulting gasoline type smell. Weirder even though, now that is has dried down on ME (30 mins later), it smells nice? Sour herbal, creamy sweet and a tiny touch of nuttiness but it took 30 minutes to reach this. I don't think 30 minutes waiting for this smell pretty is worth it. One of the strangest experiences i've had with a perfume shifting but also a very confusing scent from the get go.

I like it, but something in the opening notes reminds me of ammonia, that cat urine-like scent. I suggest spraying about 45 minutes to an hour BEFORE you will be encountering any other people. It's a BRIGHT green note at the beginning, grassy and earthy and anamalic with that pee note, and a little fruity... then it chills out and sweetens up. The drydown is gorgeous. Soft and almondy, imagine eating a vanilla chocolate swirl ice cream cone in a LUSH store. There's no gross fake chocolate note, thank goodness, cacao can go wrong in fragrances often and I'm picky! It reminds me a bit of LUSH Sweetie Pie shower jelly from back in the day too.

I love this fragrance but the ratings below are kind of over hyped. This fragrance does not last an hour. I think the 'strong' potent initial sprays coupled with the bright orange color are fooling these other customers. It lingers strongly for a bit, settles consistently for another bit then lingers intimately for another little bit. All within an hour. Even on clothes it fades. Besides all of that it smells identical to the conditioner and is a scent that I've been petitioning for years when the survey opens.
