Cempasúchil

THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! Iced Wine shower jelly has been a long-time favourite of mine; I've sorely missed it the past couple of years. They finally brought the scent back last year with Cempasuchil shower gel and now finally a perfume! I did approach this release with scepticism though, as I sometimes find scents don't smell quite right in these body spray formats versus an actual EdP but I'm pleased to say this is bang-on accurate! Hooray! I find Iced Wine/Cempasuchil really interesting, because it has that typical "sunshine in a bottle" disposition due to the abundance of juicy citrus, but it also has a sort of... aquatic? cooling edge to it AND a hint of spiciness lingering in the periphery. Understandable why this was originally a Christmas release but it's definitely bright and energetic enough to be worn all year 'round. Longevity on me is somewhere in the 4-5 hour range; nothing remarkable but certainly not too shabby for a citrus scent. Edit: also I agree with Dani below, it does have a slight peachy vibe to it!

I am not usually a citrus fan but this had me doing laps in the lush store. This has a very bright opening that reminds me of a Paloma. As it dries down I definitely get more of the bergamont but the sparkling element stays throughout. I wish this had a better lasting power but I think you get a lot out of the scent profile for what the perfume is worth. I also would argue that although this has the elements for a perfect summer scent, I think this could also be a worthwhile winter scent to wear to any holiday events and such. Definitely my favorite citrus fragrance now and a great addition to my collection. Overall 8.3/10

It's not in the notes, but this to me smells exactly like when you cut open an orange, it's zesty and fresh ! It pairs perfectly with Sun from Lush to add an extra layer to the orangey goodness. I think you could really add some depth to this too with Karma.

Now this was a pleasant surprise. Smells like somekind of orange/tropical sweets. Really lovely actually. It is on the sweeter side though so watch out if that's not your cup of tea.

Very similar to Dew Berry from Body shop.. which I just purchased and realised that now I have two of the same kind of scent. It's tangy and sweet and reminiscent of Fanta

Safe blind buy if you like citrus. To compare this one to Lush’s other citrus scents that I’m most familiar with- It seems like this is what Celebrate should smell like based off the description. Celebrate is a candy bomb/piñata, Cempasúchil is fresher and a bit more clean. If I compare it to Karma, I’d say karma is more aquatic and green/citrus. Comparing it to avo co wash, I’d say acw is more tangy. That all being said, it’s one of the more unique Lush citrus perfumes. If you’re familiar with lush, you know they’re obsessed with citrus. Maybe what makes it unique is the marigold? Either way, for me, it’s still citrus dominant. Just a clean and fresh citrus.

This is a beautifully herbal, citrus-forward scent that I can’t wait to wear once the weather warms up. The buchu oil adds an earthy, natural depth to the bright citrus, giving it an almost “dirty” edge—but in a way that feels intentional and refreshing. The grapefruit amplifies that bitter, earthy quality, creating a really unique balance. I can see how some people might find the bitterness or earthiness off-putting, but if you enjoy that kind of natural, green profile, it’s absolutely lovely.

Agreeable, like if a grapefruit was sweet. Citrusy but not acidic scent.

A blind buy since it was 50%off. The notes sounded good but the first things that come to mind are orange tutti frutti gummies. Smells really synthetic to me. Disappointing :/

this stinks, like horribly bad. smelled it in stores at lush and my GOD! the stench stuck to me until i was able to scrub my hands and it made me nauseous🤢

this smells like a bright blend of citrus and marigold in the heart...it fits the description of the notes except the base , citrus and marigold, bright citrusy, flowery in the second place, blended well...the base notes are in the background, it lasts about 6 hours on clothes, on skin i don't know, more a spring summer scent maaybe autumn..it's gorgeous though if you like bright flower scents

The notes do not reflect how juicy this smells! I smell no marigold really, to my nose it’s a well blended uplifting citrus and sweet white grape scent! It’s fruity, fizzy and sweet but also has that signature lush smell aswell!
