Chelsea Morning

I fell in love with it instantly. I was DJaying in a hardcore techno club and my cute friend came up to me and showed me this and I’m glad that she did. I was taken aback. It’s what I love in scent, my first impression was warm, golden syrup - drizzled, fresh gingerbread cake. It smells like Jamaican ginger cake or golden syrup cake with a fresh lemony hit. I bought a bottle and used it up so fast but now I’m on my second bottle I’m more sparing and careful as this isn’t a fragrance for every occasion. The lemony hit is quite synthetic but mellows out quick and turns into this sweet, warm butterscotch scent. The fenugreek is an unusual note which comes out after it’s settled down. It cuts through the sweetness and adds a savory element but layered with the wrong fragrances, it smells a bit too earthy or curry-like but it’s only a minor note that comes out when I’ve paired it with the wrong fragrance. The solid stick version is better imo. It’s pure butterscotch goodness. It’s quite strong too. It leaves a trail of caramel scent in the air whenever you go but it’s a polarising scent. Perhaps not as polarising as say... Angel by Mugler but people either love this or think it smells a bit too food-like. I personally love it. I would say it’s my signature scene but it’s specific and I wouldn’t wear it for everyday occasions. Luv it tho. 9/10

This one wasn’t an instant love at first sniff but I do really like it now. The first time I smelt this the opening smelt very citrusy due to the lemon. However, after wearing this out and about and smelling the dry down I can definitely now say this is definitely worth the hype. I didn’t at first think this smelt that similar to super milk and I still don’t think it’s super close to super milk, however when I wore this and my sister smelt it she said “it smells like super milk” and I was a bit surprised she instantly picked up on that. While it does similar to super milk, it’s not as creamy and lactonic. The toffee / tonka bean in Chelsea morning is what makes it different. I would say I do enjoy the smell of super milk better than Chelsea Morning though. If I had to describe this scent: A sweet toffee lemon biscuit with a bit of a caramel drizzled on top that has been caramelised till it’s slightly burnt. The opening in Chelsea Morning is quite different to the dry down. The opening basically smells like lemon and toffee, with a biscuit-y smell to it. In the dry down it smells slightly smokey, kind of like a burnt caramel / biscuit smell a bit. If you like the supermilk hair conditioner then you’ll definitely like this one. Score: 8.5/10 (smells uniquely good)

An absolutely addictive, mouth watering gourmand! If Super Milk and Sticky Dates had a baby, it'd be Chelsea Morning. I always get nervous trying scents with lemon notes, as I've always found them to be a bit too screechy or sharp for me, like Lemon Pledge. Chelsea Morning's lemon note is nothing like that. It opens with that soft lemon to accentuate a cloud of sticky, sweet toffee and rich vanilla, wrapping you in a warm embrace of golden, lemony butterscotch. This scent is the definition of a soft, buttery lemon cake with a rich caramel drizzle. Definitely not a safe blind buy, as I could see how this might be too sweet for some. I personally don't pick up any spice notes, which isn't a dealbreaker for me. I'm going to stick to wearing this during cozy seasons as I can see how it might be a bit cloying to wear in the summer/warmer months. The only thing I would change about Chelsea Morning is the longevity and projection. On me, this lasts maybe 2-3 hours and is a very intimate skin scent, which is disappointing as it smells so lovely. But, if the sacrifice I have to make for a delectable gourmand like this is reapplying it often, I'll gladly take it any day. Chelsea Morning -- where have you been all of my life?!

MY PRINCESS. I LOVE HER. I LOVE HER SO MUCH. Easily one of Lush's best gourmands. Even the rather strong citrus opening can win me over. On the dry down, you are graced with cinnamon cookies, vanilla batter, a pumpkin spice latte on a warm, autumnal day. If you're quick to play Taylor Swift's 'RED' the second September hits, I'm sure you'll be able to identify with this scent. Now, the citrus opening is something to be aware of, but in my opinion it doesn't take away from the gourmand goodness - it only adds what could be considered a unique twist, something to set it apart. Chelsea Morning is the hidden gem between Super Milk and Sticky Dates. On my skin, I've been told it's reminiscent of biscoff biscuits. The longevity and projection are as good if not better than what you'd expect from a £25 Lush scent. I've found it lingers on fabric particularly well. My Chelsea Morning has ran out, but I'm very excited for my re-buy. In the meantime, I haven't found another Lush scent which has enchanted me so ♡

In loveeeeee! Smells like you mixed Super Milk and a teeny bit of Sticky Dates. I was a bit unsure about this at first since the lemon is quite strong for the first hour of wear, but the toffee and vanilla deepen immensely. After an hour, it’s super decadent and caramely with just a hint of citrus. I also start getting a light maple-y fenugreek after about an hour, though not really any myrtle. Has moderate sillage and lasts all day AND MORE. I can sometimes even smell it on my skin after a whole day and a shower. In terms or perfumes listed as similar— ✔️ Lush Super Milk: similar but more citrus+biscuit rather than citrus+caramel ✔️❌ Akro Bake: similar at first but remains quite citrus heavy through the entire wear ✔️❌ Kerosene Unknown Pleasures: similar at first but it stays quite citrus-heavy through the whole wear ❌ D&G Devotion: a candied lemon scent, no caramel ❌ Lush Sticky Dates: no citrus, a straight caramel bomb

test sprayed this in my local lush the other day and i NEED this scent. 3 it's quite literally everything i've been looking for...it's sweet and warm, with notes of vanilla and baked goods that i can smell, but the lemon note keeps it from being cloying. i usually don't like citrus but the initial scent reminds me of a yummy lemon cake. i don't really smell the lemon note that much when it dries down, but it still smells like one of those delicious sponge cakes my dad bakes for my birthdays with more burnt brown sugar and caramel, making this a lovely nostalgic gourmand to me. i could smell it on my wrist for ages after the initial spray and my cousin (who i was with) also loved the smell of it. i don't really smell the supermilk (which i also love) comparison that everyone talks about but i love it all the same. super warm and delicious gourmand, i'm in love with it. absolutely buying this as soon as i have money ♡

my favorite lush perfume of all time is what would love do, which was tragically discontinued a few years ago. since then, i have been looking for a fragrance to fill the void left behind by it, and im happy to report that chelsea morning is that fragrance for me. wwld is a tangerine, lavender, and benzoin fragrance, which doesn't really seem to be that similar, and maybe it's just that lush dna working its magic, but I get a similar vibe from this one. i suppose it's just that they both have that citrus note without it being screechy or cleaner-y since its balanced out with warmer and spicier notes. either way, i love chelsea morning. on initial spray the lemon note is a lot but it mellows down quickly to a perfect and comforting warm and sweet citrus without ever going too edible smelling. no idea why people are saying this is a fall/winter fragrance, to me its pure sunshine for the spring and summer months

I bought CM and sticky dates from lush AU, CM is a love from first sniff! Very nostalgic scent for me, where i grew up we had this type of lollies made with crystalized sugar wrapped around a dried plum like a lollipop and CM is such realistic gourmand smell to that lollies, I absolutely love it!!! The lemon here is quite strong and very much present the entire time, on the skin probably lasted me 6-7hours, and on the clothes would stay and PROJECT beastly til you wash it. This is a beast mode perfume, go easy on the trigger ♥ It is Sour Candy like, you will have to like lemon scent to enjoy this fragrance, as the lemony zesty vibe last forever. Also it doesn't smell like cleaning product type of lemon to my nose. And thank god it doesn't leave a powdery smell on the skin like most gourmand fragrances do. Backup bottle worthy imo ♥

This is honestly the most delicious fragrance I've ever smelled in my life. It's like Lira but dialled up to 100 with the amazing butterscotch/toffee note, which my husband described as smelling like burnt sugar, but in a good way. It's an extremely deep, dark caramel, which is what I wanted from "caramel fragrances" like Amore Caffe, Escapade Gourmand, and Bianco Latte (all of which are weak and waxy to my nose). I can see why some people wouldn't like it, because it is very sweet, but I dream about it all day, put it on after my bed time routine (over the Sticky dates lotion), and spend all of my pre-bed time sniffing myself non-stop. 10/10 holy grail gourmand for me. The most comforting, warm, dessert scent for Winter or Autumn. For the people who think it smells like B.O... maybe you just have B.O???

This is hands-down one of my all-time favorites. I could live inside of it. She is firmly in my Top 3. You must love Lemon and strong, sweet Toffee to really appreciate her though. From the first spray, you're greeted with that bright burst of lemon myrtle, its definitely zesty but not harsh at all to me. That sharp, sparkling citrus quickly mellows into a warm, buttery gourmand heart. Think butterscotch, toffee, and creamy biscuit melting into each other, with subtle vanilla, tonka bean, and a hint of maple-syrup warmth from the fenugreek. To me, it’s super cozy and addictive. The lemon and toffee blend flawlessly on my skin. Nothing stays on me, but she definitely does! I have 3 Backups! 10/10 I will forever love her.❤️ PS: I'm a huge Oliver Cresp fan and this still rises above Devotion and Bake imho.

I never understood how people were praising the super milk hair primer for its longevity or for helping the scent bubble last longer because on me it didn’t do anything of the sort. Chelsea Morning however, is a beast of a fragrance and I shouldn’t have taken so long to appreciate it. I’ve had it for almost a year now and only ever reached for it on not so special occasions, not really paying much attention to it. As of today I stand corrected because it passed the travel day test; sprayed it when I left the house at 12:30PM, got to my destination at around 9:30PM and you could still smell it on me even after being in a car, a train, a plane and 4 different buses. I have to give it its flowers now because it genuinely impressed me so much I will start spraying it on special occasions too from now on.

Chelsea Morning is exactly what I wanted out of Lira and Love & Crime. The earthiness & licorice in both of those stops them from shining and they can be astringent at times. Chelsea Morning is clearly similar to Supermilk, but it’s not a replica as some have suggested. Supermilk is more citrusy and milky. Chelsea morning is more toffee. Both have a nice spiced quality perfect for fall and winter. I’ve seen people also say it is similar to Lush’s Sticky Dates and I do not agree with that one bit. Another citrus gourmand I love is Akro Bake, but it isn’t that similar to Chelsea morning. Bake stays light and fluffy whereas Chelsea morning has much more depth. I’d say Supermilk is an in between of Chelsea morning and Akro bake. Love it!

I love this so much. I think the 1st one i got was a bad batch because it was giving lemon toilet cleaner in the opening, but the dry down was an absolutely delicious cinnamon cookie. I ended up returning it but I could still smell that cookie scent on one of my hoodies for weeks, so I eventually went back and bought it again. The 2nd one I got there was no chemical lemon, its all delicious lemon frosting on a cinnamon roll/cookie. If you find the lemon overpowering, try going to buy it in store and testing the bottle first. I'm not sure if it was because something happened to my first bottle in transit (first one I bought online) but the one I picked up in person was a night and day difference. The longevity is insane too.

I was looking for the right citrus gourmand for ages, because there are so many popular contenders in this "category". I tried Bake by Akro which I found too weak, Devotion was a bit too sweet for me and I could not get past the bottle design. Lira, Unknown Pleasures and some others were also on my radar but a bit harder to get in my country. I stumbled upon this one by accident and I can happily report that the search is over :) This is exactly what I imagined and wanted from this profile, the lemon is present but not overpowering, there is nice balance with the sweet notes and the dry-down is just yummy. I must look like a weirdo the way I keep sniffing my wrist :D

Three strangers have asked me what fragrance I'm wearing today, someone on a bus told their companion they could smell Christmas cookies in August, my husband who HATES perfume keeps nuzzling my neck and me? It's taking all my willpower not to eat myself. Densely sticky, comforting, rich with a lightning flash of lemon to keep things from getting too syrupy. Sticky toffee pudding eaten on an Indian summer evening in late September. Simultaneously sunny and dark. Oh god I love this. Lasts eternally, smells incredible on my clothes the next day, OH GOD I LOVE THIS. At my advanced age I have found my HG and it's twenty quid at Lush. Amazing.

To me I can’t really smell the supermilk comparison everyone makes. I own both supermilk and Chelsea morning but they both smell very different to me. I can smell some similarities but to me supermilk is lemon drizzle cake but Chelsea morning is a sort of buttery caramel scent. Both are very beautiful and very distinct. If you’re planning to buy it because you want a perfume that smells just like supermilk I would recommend going to your local lush and trying It out there instead before committing to purchasing it. Either way it’s still definitely my most complimented perfume and my go-to perfume any mornings

A delicious scent. It's very sweet and citrusy, I feel that the lemon is very nice here and reduces a little bit of the sweetness. It smells like a lemon pie or lemon cookies (I also smell a hint of ginger, although this note is not declared). In the drydown it reminds me a lot of the super milk hair conditioner spray (which I adore!) Everyone I know loves this fragrance. Moderate duration and projection but people can feel it especially the first few hours. I love it! It has become one of my favorite fragrances, but you have to like sweet gourmand and citrus perfumes, because it is a very powerful lemon pie.

This is absolutely stunning - it's what I wanted Akro Bake to be. On skin, it's a delicious, candied lemon with rich caramel and toffee notes and an almost biscuit-y pastry scent laying underneath. The projection is enormous in my experience - I recently moved in with friends and they could smell it from another room with only 2 sprays. It lasted all day on clothes, and 2 days on I can still smell it on my jumper. This is incredible layered with Cheirosa 71 if you really do want to smell exactly like a bakery. Absolutely love this and would recommend if you're after a gourmand lemon fragrance!

smells like candied syrupy lemon right from the bottle, and when you spray her shes almost identical to super milk but with a sweeter citrus accord (definitely not the synthetic-type of lemon). has to be one of my favorite lush perfumes, she has the perfect level of sweetness. now she might be harsh at first for some people but she dries down a beautiful warm and comforting gourmand toffee scent which is something i adore. only cons i have is that she can be a bit cloying for the summer heat. also love to pair her with the true romance massage bar!

For anyone looking for a proven strategy to romanticize the winter season, try this. Very yummy. The blend of bright lemon and sugary vanilla with tonka is cold weather coded and very very cozy. Uplifting and as a perfect cake (obviously) not too sweet. My only complaint would be that it's so gourmand, it makes it unclear it's you who's smelling delicious and not some random smell of baked cookies that the wind brought. Although, works perfectly when you want to smell edible. A compliment getter and potentially great layering piece.

Another one of my favourite scents of all time. Chelsea Morning feels made for me. Chelsea is apart of the street name (not saying it fully obviousy) that I grew up on. Its delicious - toffee, butterscotch candy and lemon mixed together perfectly, it almost makes me think of a toffee lemon tea with a butterscotch candy inside of it melting. The lemon is so sharp. Its so strong and lasts forever and the scent trail is amazing. Ive gotten so many compliments on it. Literally at least 5. They all think its Super Milk. But its not. Hah.

Chelsea Morning has a slight citrus blast on initial spray but after a few minutes it becomes a gourmand, lemon-toffee vanilla. Like a delicious, rich lemon and vanilla dessert. I agree that it smells very similar to the Super Milk hair primer, but it differs slightly as the hair primer is creamy and Chelsea Morning is more lemon-vanilla with a caramel/toffee base. Such a beautiful gourmand citrus fragrance. If you don’t like lemon or an edible caramel type of gourmand note in your fragrances you may not enjoy this, but I LOVE it.

From time to time, certain fragrance categories become the subject of comparison and fine-tuning by enthusiasts, as is currently the case with caramel/lemon/pie..you know what I mean. There are very buttery, very sweet, more vanilla, some spicy, light and heavy in citrus etc. etc... The range is huge, there is something for everyone, really! But in many, especially in this fragrance category, even in these Arabian ones, the presentation and performance are often sadly lacking... so hush, we have a secret🧡.

The opening is dissonant, but the drydown is pure, perfect Speculoos cookies, and for that I love it. The lemon topnote is definitely in lemon-pledge territory, which is a pity given that even cook's lemon oil/essence would be nicer. Worse still, the citrus doesn't meld with the vanilla sugar that follows but just sits above it like an irritating mosquito. However: leave Chelsea Morning to dry down, and you will smell deliciously of toffee and sweet Christmas spices for hours to come.

I bought this in 2024 before it really got popular, two bottles (30ml and 100ml), and i've noticed no varying quality between them. The batch i got is punchy, buttery, and spicy; I often get A LOT of compliements, to the point just two sprays can fill up a room. As it's aged, the smell has only only gotten deeper and more warm, the citrus doesnt seem to be all the present after a year and a bit. It's sweet without being childish, and its honestly quite a sexy fragrance.

so addictive. The initial spray is when you get hit with a strong butterscotch scent which dissipates within seconds to a more sugar spun caramel. Once the spray of alcohol dries both of these scents fall away and you are left with a lemon vanilla cheesecake fragrance very similar to the dry down of super milk hair products. Its lowest base notes are of course LUSH dna but even sweeter than others. It is a strong gourmand fragrance with lovely citrus

I don’t know exactly why but whenever I spray this I feel like I’m in front of a breakfast table in a luxurious hotel, with fresh pressed orange juice, coffee, croissants, butter, jam and all. It’s a beautiful morning! The ☀️ is shining through the glass windows. Wow, I must add that I own several of the “reminds me of” fragrances and none of them are like this. It’s realistic and very nice to wear. Not overly complicated and non-screechy. Love it! 😍

What a tones of perfume notes in Chelsea. The sour opening of lemon soon becomes sweet, toasted sugar caramel and coffee with vanilla. Myrtle gives some exoticism and strangeness, and fenugreek fullness and volume to vanilla, syrupy yummy. Tonka dilutes the weight of sweetness. There is no way that the Litsea cubeba note is missing there because it is so prominent at a drydown. Interesting. Longlasting. Temptingly gourmand for sure.

Chelsea Morning evolves like a slow sunrise. It opens bright and citrusy — fresh, clean, and full of life — before caramel slips in, turning it bittersweet in the best way. As it dries down, toffee and tonka melt together into a smooth, smoky sweetness. It’s like an orange simmered over fire, glazed with toffee, dusted with tonka, and touched by a hint of incense. Warm, cozy, and a little mysterious — this one’s a quiet stunner.

On initial spray, I could smell a smokey citrus caramel scent, which I wasn’t overly keen on. BUT!!!!! The dry down is what made me fall in love with this perfume. It’s like a sweet caramel lemon drizzle. I’d say it’s pretty identical to the super milk hair primer. The smokiness seems to disappear after some time which I prefer as someone who loves gourmands and anything sweet. It’s a must have in anyone’s collection.

This is my favorite perfume thus far! I am a gourmand girly but don’t like something too cloying. This one has a beautiful citrus and herbal twist to it that keeps it from being too much. The toffee is so distinct and smells like crunchy goodness. I am a little sad because I do this it’s too heavy for summer so now I need to find something else that I love as much for warmer days which I don’t think is gunna happen

Definitely one of my fave citrus gourmands . I can see how other ppl say how this goes in the cleaner direction - the lemon here is a bit strong and sharp , especially in the opening. The toffee however , balances out the lemon to me . I get fresh zest on top of buttery caramel, toffee cookies. It lasts 8 hours on skin for me and even more on clothes. I love iit . I wonder how it layers with Akro Awake

This is THE vanilla fragrance from Lush (I find Vanillary more boozy, more vanilla extract leaning, which might be better for layering). It has very good longevity and the scent is very consistent. Its a sweeter take on vanilla but the citrus notes make me feel like I’m standing in a bakery with toffee croissants and lemon curd tarts. I love it personally, but it may be over powering to others.

This has quickly become my favorite Lush fragrance so far. It’s surprisingly sweet for my taste, but in the best way possible. From the first spray it smells edible, like a warm lemon pound cake with a rich, buttery caramel dry down that gives it real depth. It’s so YUMMY. It does remind me a lot of Super Milk, but without the creamy milk note. Instead, this leans more citrusy and bright.

Really enjoying this fragrance. It first reminded me of Xerjoff Lira, but after closer comparison it is different. It is more citrus in the opening and the gourmand cookie/caramel is deeper and more gingery. It doesn't last as long as Lira and doesn't change over time as much as Lira but dang it's very beautiful and a crowd pleaser. I have had many compliments with this perfume.

Nearly identical to the Super Milk hair primer. I haven't experienced the Super Milk body or spray or perfume and went straight to this because of all the reviews. Very happy with my choice, but to my nose this is not as sweet as many reviews led me to expect. I thought it'd be the hair primer with deep crystalized toffee sweetness, but it's just the hair primer for me.

This to me smells like dipping ginger biscuits in tea - definitely a spicy gourmand but the citrus note stops it from getting too sickly and candle-y. Didn’t know it was coming out, bought it on first sniff. I also agree there’s something very similar to Far about it, but where Far leans into the citrus, this goes way more into the spice - Far’s autumnal cousin.

This has been my all-time most complimented perfume and I’ve only owned it for around 3 weeks. Everyone I am with, every room I enter: “it smells so good in here,” “what are you wearing,” and I LOOOOOVE this scent. Such a great balance of toffee cookies with that lemon bite to make it smell fresh and not too overly gourmand.

I just love this scent. It’s super affordable, smells amazing, and lasts really well on clothes!! It kind of reminds me of Dolce & Gabbana Devotion, but a bit more bold and raw. The citrus really stands out to me fresh but still warm. I even bought a bottle for my mom because she loved it the moment she smelled it on me. :)

A nice non-cloying gourmand scent - think eating some butterscotch cookies on a sunny winter day. I wear it when I want something cosy and sweet but with touch of freshness; the lemon opening (which lingers but is enveloped by the toffee/powdery vanilla) gives a lovely brightness that doesn't smell sanitary.

I just bought it for autumn, and I love it. It’s comfortable and cosy, warm, safe to wear when the weather gets a lil cooler, but it still has a zesty lemony crisp to it. I would say its milky caramel-lemon toffee type of scent. It’s very close to Super Milk hair treatment. I just wish I had bought it sooner

Love love love Chelsea morning, the opening is a strong burst of lemon but once that mellows out it smells very specific to me, it smells like a fresh out the oven chewy, spiced lemon cookie... amazing. Stays on skin and clothes for hours, a real beast mode fragrance. So happy to have this in my collection!

Oh my gosh this is my favorite favorite scent in the world. The (recent) negative reviews baffle me. I don’t wear it often because it’s not easily available where I live but when I do it brings me extreme joy all day long. I own over a hundred perfumes but this is THE ONE. Try it, at least. It’s awesome.

This is the perfect Winter Citrus of my dreams! If you’re a lemon/citrus obsessed person but struggle or yearn for something warmer for the colder months this is it!! It’s vanillic and warm with a wonderful caramelized toffee note that doesn’t erase or overshadow that distinct lemon note!🍋🍁

I just received it and I haven’t worn it yet but just smelling from the bottle this smells EXACTLY like super milk hair conditioning primer. Identical. I am Obsessed. I wanted to get it as I have received endless compliments from super milk and wanted a matching perfume which this is.

deep, sweet toffee and butterscotch offset by bright citrus - super super lovely :) close to the skin i get a slight herbal powdery-ness that actually helps negate the gourmand, more cloying aspects of the scent. a general crowd-pleaser in my experience. pure happiness <3

one of my lush faves! the toffee sweetness is balanced out by the lemon and aromatic notes, slightly spicy, warm and herbal. i often find gourmand scents to be overwhelmingly sugary and dislike one-note confectionery scents, so Chelsea Morning was a pleasant surprise!

The Toffee scent on its dry down is the best! Starts citrusy but eventually turns into a creamy toffee goodness. Can’t stop smelling my wrist. Bought the 30ml and I wanted to get the 100ml of this but the projection is really poor also does not last very long.

Perfect for 1960s inspired outfits - I think the lemon note makes me want to pair it with yellow and brown clothes instinctively- like I want to look like a really beautiful mid century modern living room on a sunny morning when I wear this perfume
