Creamy Candy

Lush must have a personal vendetta against me because WHY HAVEN'T THEY BROUGHT THIS BACK YET!!!!!!!!!???!!?! It's crying out to be made into a body spray, dammit! Creamy Candy is one of my favourite products of all time. So simple, and - much to my & my bank account's delight - one of their cheapest offerings. I didn't even know the perfume version existed 'til I spotted a bottle on eBay last year. I will be treasuring this bottle with my life, and possibly taking it to the grave with me. Creamy Candy is the best of the best of the best of sweet vanilla scents. I might have to camp outside Poole HQ to get the message across... - Edit: snagged a bottle from the re-release and I'm pleased to report it smells the same as my 2012 bottle, though noticeably lighter/softer. I'm not too concerned though, it's a freshly made perfume so should grow stronger with age. For now I'll put it aside and allow it to macerate a bit more. Edit2: well, I have to eat my words. I'm beyond gutted. On release people were comparing this to smelling like Red Bull and I couldn't see it at first, but as my bottle has macerated and grown stronger I can smell it... it's NOT the same as my 2012 bottle. Like okay I know that one is over a decade old but it ACTUALLY smells like the bubble bar, this 2023 version smells sweeter and more synthetic and almost like it has a beer/yeasty note to it. Ugh....

OMG it's in the database!!! How there is only one note listed is totally beyond me. This is NOT a vanilla scent. It's a violet scent primarily, and then you get this vanillic, sweet floral, bubble-gummy, candy confection that smells JUST like Rockstar soap and Creamy Candy bubble bar (as it was meant to smell). This is one of my absolute favorites from LUSH and much better than Candy Fluff perfume, which is more like Angel's Delight. I agree it's reminiscent of Parma violets, as there is a powdery note which gives it a feel similar to those chalky, soapy candies I grew up loving. This is not nearly as "violetty" as Tuca Tuca though and so I think there is a lot more going on. Perhaps some rose in there as well? Well anyways, to sum it up, this is a powdery, floral, bubblegum-like candy scent that is really just yummy, soft, and cozy. I love it so much!

Over the years, I have bought the Candy bubble bar, Rock Star soap, & Snow Fairy BLEW me away when it came out. When they did the SF Perfume several years ago, I want to say it was released at Midnight & I was UP w/ my fingers on the keyboard. Ordered 3 bottles. This is very similar. VERY similar. I do detect a slight difference. Maybe a tad bit "creamier". But I am SO glad I got a bottle. Love it! Out of all the Lush scents I have (maybe 8 or 9), Snow Fairy was my fave, so this ties w/ that, then Vanillary, then Sex Bomb. Expensive for a small 1 oz bottle tho, IMO. If they bring it out in the body spray, I will buy that too. If you are like me & have been waiting on them to re- release Snow Fairy perfume, just buy this. I'm ging to give it a 95% likeness. This could even be batch difference. Who knows.

A fun fragrance that takes you back to your childhood. Candy Floss, Parma Violet's and butterfly cakes with butter icing! This fragrance is part of the 'Lush Scents' range, meaning this fragrance is from a product within lush, either current or long discontinued. So these fragrances aren't serious like others, that have been made especially to be worn as a perfume, i.e. Breath of God or Imogen Rose. All hardcore Lush fans who adore Rockstar soap or Creamy Candy bubble bar will love this, as i do.

Creamy Candy was my son's favourite bath product in the 90s. He also loved the Karma soap & my Karma perfume Fast forward to today & he is 30 yrs old. His favourites are now Sticky Dates Shower Gel, Snow Fairy Body Spray, Let The Good Times Roll Body Spray, but his absolute favourite is Twilight Body Spray! He was so disappointed to know there wasn't a body spray of Sticky Dates. He doesn't know that the Creamy Candy EDP & Sticky Dates Body Spray were launched this wk! He will be so surprised & happy on Christmas Day Morning! I'll update & give my actual "review" once I've had a quick sniff when they get delivered tomorrow. Update: I never smelled the original Creamy Candy EDP but I know the bubble bar scent very well. I don't know if it's just me, but I get more Snow Fairy with this than Creamy Candy. It lasts much longer than the reformulated SF BS that they are selling ATM for more money (gorgeous but lasts 10mins if you're lucky!) so you might be happy with it if you're a SF fan. I'm not sure how I feel about it seeming to be a merger ̄⁠⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠ ̄ Of course it does smell very synthetic, which is to be expected. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone familiar with CC or SF, however, as someone with Asthma, something in this is going straight to my lungs. It also triggers my migraines. I'm glad I tested it out. When my son came in the room, he could smell the couple of sprays of the Golden Pear BS & loved it. That one doesn't bother me & it's lovely, so I'm glad I bought two bottles! Blind-buy luck! :) The Sticky Dates Body Spray smells exactly like the shower gel. Be careful though, it's strong!! Try not to over spray. I only tested it on fabric & could still smell it easily on the 3rd day! I'm glad I got two bottles of that as well! Tender is The Night EDP: To me, smells like Keep it Fluffy with no lemongrass but with Vanillary-type vanilla. Loved it at first sniff..... Was bliss! But then the Vanillary-type vanilla kicked in & I couldn't handle it. Took me ages to scrub it away! Not for me. Super Milk EDP: I got an initial strong blast of lemon, that disappeared as soon as it appeared! Dried down to cinnamon almond milk. After an hour or so it had become a skin scent. Again, not for me.

I just got the new 2023 version! Not what I expected honestly. It smells like spun sugar and mothballs honestly. Not the most pleasant smh. I'll keep it in my drawer for a couple months to let it macerate, then I'll pull it out again later. Regardless..I'm not happy with the scent.

Smells exactly like Snow Fairy from Lush. Exactly. Was pretty disappointed and will be returning, it's a nice enough smell but very childish.

Review for 2023 Community fragrance version: This is so disappointing and I’m seriously side eyeing every Lush fan that hyped it up merely because it’s a “rare retro fragrance”. This is just as screechy as Snow Fairy and doesn’t smell so far off it. People like to give the impression it’s more sophisticated than Snow Fairy, but I don’t get that at all. I don’t get creamy vanilla candy, but moreso artificial (in a bad way) pink vape cloud. It smells like a Red Bull energy drink- somehow effervescent, aspartame rich, and fruity bubblegum. The vanilla gets lost. Not worth the money

I’m happy to have this but as reviews below state, it’s basically snow fairy. It’s slightly less fruity than the current snow fairy body spray but essentially it is snow fairy in a (light!) perfume concentration. The vanillic creamy candy comes through in the deep dry down but the perfume has become an extreme skin scent at that point. It's almost white chocolatey before it disappears and it's a shame that doesn't come in sooner, because that's the part that diverges from snow fairy and actually smells creamy. This is the one I’ll wear as it works a bit better on my skin than snow fairy body spray. I’ll use the body spray on my bedding! Yes it’s a bit of shame that this isn’t quite the creamy candy people wanted but I think it's worth having.... I just think Lush might have annoyed a fair few customers with this and supermilk as neither seem to smell the way people were expecting, but I like both! Wish they lasted longer though.

This is my most favourite scent of sweets ever! Just pure slightly fizzy sweeties reminding me of refreshers or along the lines of those love heart sweets, Normally gourmand / sweet scents mixed with vanilla or caramel doesnt agree with me for long. I tend to feel nauseus or get a headache in short time. The vanilla in here is so light and well blended that i dont get that typical 'cake' vibe. Creamy candy is just how the name states. It closely resembles the Rock Star soap. It is also similar to Lush Snow fairy but that one is more sharper and too fizzy / effervescent for my liking. Very long lasting and pretty. Such a shame its been discontinued.

I’m not sure if they reformulated, because I never had the chance to smell the original one. But the new 2023 creamy candy smells IDENTICAL to snow fairy. I agree with the review below! It is a lovely scent but I already own snow fairy so it was a disappointment for me. If you already have snow fairy you don’t need another one, because the snow fairy body spray is very long lasting and you get 7x more product with the spray than this 30ml bottle. I feel bad ruining the excitement for everybody, so now on a positive note, I got the sticky dates body spray and it is AMAZING. The most delicious scrumptious dates with butterscotch.

I highly disagree with the comments saying the 2023 Creamy Candy perfume smells like Snow Fairy. I’ve sprayed both on each wrist and they smell very different. To my nose both smell very true to their bath bomb counterparts. Creamy candy is much deeper and heavier on the vanilla, whereas snow fairy is much much sweeter and fruitier.

This is probably my all time favorite "candy" scent. I'm positive there is more than just vanilla as listed above. I get candied rose, parma violets, pink bubblegum and vanilla. It smells exactly like those strawberry hard candies that are wrapped in strawberry printed foil. I adore this one and wish it was easier to find.
