Dad's Garden Lemon Tree

The longevity on this is suprising. The tart lemon brightness followed by a soothing lavender shortly after. It's like someone turned on a bright light in your face - a moment of pungent citrusy blindness. The initial industrial lemon stab is almost tearjerking, but genuinely fades down to a garden-fresh scent. Unfortunately, the bottle design - although attractive- malfunctioned all 5 times I bought this spray; oh and they're not cheap. Spillage kept happening, the spray would get blocked resulting in alot of wasted sunshiny garden fragrance. I like to carry my scents on me wherever I go to top up, but this leaky bottle just infuriated me every time...yet every time I'd happily buy myself a new bottle. I wish they had this as a perfume, but they don't and the closest scent to it as a perfume is Sun, which has a similar burst of citrus. This is good to layer with Pull & Bear Potion Women or DSquared Wood

Very clean, smells much like lemon sherberts rather than a lemon tart. my only downfall is that I feel like it lasts very little time compared to my other lush fragrances - I mean like two hours if you spray a lot, whereas my other lush sprays (eg., Let the good times roll, Twilight) last sometimes even days on end on a scarf or a pair of jeans that I wear more than once and lasts a whole day on my skin. This becomes very weak quickly. I love the smell though so I will be dousing myself in it before I leave the house. Also reminiscent of Nenuco Agua De Colonia, you know, the stuff that you buy in Spain that you put on babies? If you used to wear that, this scent might be nostalgic for you.

I wish this was a perfume. I love the body spray but it has the least longevity of any Lush scent I’ve tried. In the first hour or two, however, it is a beautiful blend of lemon and lavender, and dries down into a beautiful floral musk before disappearing. I’d hoped it would be a really great vacation scent for schlepping around amusement parks, cities and other long, hot days, but I’d have to lug that giant windex bottle with me to keep topping off. That, however, is my only complaint about this fragrance. All things considered it is perfect for high summer/humid climates.

Definitely a unisex fragrance, it's got the "lush" smell to it, which must be in the base they use for everything. It's what I'd describe as a fresh, cozy musk. It's got that warm feeling of fresh laundry and citrus, as if you had a glass of Fresca while you hung your laundry to dry on a sunny summer day. Once I got it, I sprayed everything with it.

Smells like a mountain of lemon hard candies. You absolutely cannot overspray this or you will be choking on the fumes as it’s so potent. Great longevity - it’ll last all day and won’t leave your clothes until you wash them. I used to love to wear this on icky winter days when I needed a pick me up. It’s a very invigorating scent.

Smells like lemon sorbet – absolutely beautiful. Fresh, energizing and addictive. Once it dries down I get hints of petitgrain and lavender mixed with juicy citrus. Longevity is not great as to be expected from a body spray, but surprisingly it lasts a few hours on the skin. For all lemon lovers – totally a unisex scent.

Lots of zest, but there's also a bit of warmth. It reminds me of staying at my Greek friend's property and laying in the sun. Truly a stunning scent, but as it is a citrus scent, don't expect amazing projection or longevity.

Back in middle school, I had a bottle of this perfume that ended up spilling all over my bag. Honestly, I really didn’t mind that it spilled, it smelled really good. 10/10 would spill again.

A simple, clean lemon-lime. I love citrus so this is absolutely up my alley. Smells very refreshing, like lemonade + margaritas. I've been wearing it nonstop.

Incredibly refreshing and zesty without the artificial windex smell

For a body mist it’s strong and lasts for a long time. I love throwing it in my bag when I’m going to the beach or when I know it’s going to be a hot, humid day. It’s a very straightforward scent, all of the other notes seem to be added just to complement and enhance the super strong citrus smell. Because of the bottle you don’t feel like you need to be careful with it so you can throw it around and spray to your hearts content, and it has saved me from being borderline sweaty. It smells like summer, pairs well with salt, it is amusingly aggressive and it makes me happy. I like it and will probably buy it again so i can spritz it around on sweltering, never-ending summer days.

This was expensive for a body spray, but I bought it anyway because of the longevity. I did a test spray on my chest during the day, and hours later at night it was still there, even after changing and eating (which usually ruins everything on my skin). That's what I want in a body spray, high oil content that bursts with scent as I heat up. It leans masculine, but with an almost creamy tinge that plants it firmly in the unisex field. A little goes a long way, only 2 spritzes and you're in a right lemon cloud that will last a while. Definitely not a drencher like most body sprays.

"What it says on the tin" has never rung this true. it really is pretty much nothing but lemon, in a good way. the entirety of the lemon tree too: it has the freshness of lemon juice, the bitterness of petitgrain, a tender and light floral quality from the peel... it's really for the citrus lovers. 100% one-note, but that's to be expected. it wears quite well, remains faithful to the first application and lasts for most of the first half of a day, which is impressive from Lush. i was not expecting them to be this good at formulating a perfume, or a body spray as they sell this as.

This spray is alright honestly but I think it's my fault for getting something so lemon-y. It's not a very subtle lemon but rather very bitter/sour. I would say it's more like you squeezed a lemon on yourself than a subtle lemon scent. It's really nice but you have to be careful not to spray too much and it is veryyy intensely lemon-y again. Can be a little too much like a weird soap or cleaning product. I would also say £25 is too expensive for a 2 note scent but that's what I get for buying from lush ig

Back in the good ol' days of Lush, they had these soaps that were called Buttercream Soaps, they had barely any lather to them because they were so conditioning. One sent was called Lemslip, I loved it and was super sad they discontinued the entire range...this body spray is the closest I've been able to find to that wonderful Lemslip scent. It's a breezy, slightly soft lemon. There's tartness to it for sure, but it doesn't overwhelm

Just came in from working the veggie patch! Fresh, but slightly grubby. This fragrance seems more complex than the notes listed - I certainly get the citruses, and even perhaps Citronella. A touch of tomato plant? And a hint of machinery or garages. Perhaps it's the potting shed? Certainly lovely - earthy, and physical. It will suit those with childhood memories of gardeners. Perfectly named fragrance.

For a citrus body spray this is very well performing, lasting a couple of hours on my skin. I get mostly citrus and dash of spicy fresh green. A photorealistic juicy fresh cut lemon with leaves attached and a lemon zest oil residue scent. Nice fresh uplifting scent that does the job as designed and makes a great gym or after shower scent.

Pretty fresh, smells like a lemon tree. I have one in my backyard. I would recommend layer this with a ozonic/aquatic fragrance to give it a breezy and fresher feel to it. edit: thinking of it, this lemon, is heavy. like there is an earthy feel that adds a bit of deep. its isn't as sparkly and zesty as you may think of.

really glad how the citrus notes blend together, usually with citrus scents you get the slap on the face with heavy alcoholic smell. glad how it stays objectively natural throughout the day of wearing it

This truly smells like a blooming lemon tree. I thought it was impossible to capture an aroma so accurately. Amazing! It's lovely on its own, and it's outstanding when layered with Lush Vanillary.

Amazing citrus smell, nothing too strong but it def is not for you if you don't like a lot of the household cleaning scents. I don't mind it at all as a citrus lover. Give me the lemons!

I would love it as a perfume. As a body spray - it is still nice, but it disappears very quickly. But the scent is really great, fresh, clean and not artificial.

Simple with decent projection. Great for layering with blue freshies/citruses like afternoon swim, DG lt blue intense (femme), st Barts, Kosmala 8 etc

Pure sherbet lemons! I like it a lot, though it’s very linear. It’s pleasant. Intimate and moderate lasting as most Lush frags are. Not bad at all.

great value body spray that works like a perfume - i find this to be true for all lush body sprays; they're wonderfully potent. once i was about halfway through the bottle, i got tired of smelling the scent on myself as a perfume. it smells a bit like cleaning products, so i diluted it with witch hazel to use around my home. i still like to spray it on my chest and belly right after a shower because it makes me feel fresh and clean, but mostly i use it as a linen spray for my clothes and bedding. i also like to mist some onto my carpet and sofa before people come over. it's beautiful and inoffensive; doesn't wow me but it does make my home smell clean and pleasant.

I was infatuated with this when I first got it. However, it has been over a year since my bottle ran out and I have found that this sticks around on EVERYTHING. there are certain garments of mine (since washed) that still carry the smell of this faintly. I will state that these are mostly things like jackets, knits, etc, clothes where the scent rubbed off and stacked over multiple wears, but the cloying lemon on my clothes has actually lead me to virilently dislike this scent. I think it'll genuinely take me a while to want another lemon scent.

I got this one for free. My dad has a lemon tree and it reminded me of him. I love my dad. This scent smells like lemons washed in "unscented" dish soap. So like lemons and soap. It's hard to describe: it's not a fruity or citrusy scent, it's too blunt for that. It just smells like lemons. I don't wear it a lot, but it would be good to wear to a picnic.

honestly, used to love this to death. i mean, sure it's great. i feel like revisiting it now a days though it's not as it used to be and kind of comes off like a dusty, old lemon; innoffensive but boring. maybe my stores have just had bad batches though, i guess.

A fresh, uplifting breeze with a side of sunshine. Smells very similar to Lush red 'FUN' bubble bar/body wash.

it smells like hard lemon candy and furniture polish. my husband smelled it on me and thought I'd been polishing the dining room wood table. it was bearable when i sprayed it on me and then i sprayed sticky dates. but.... save your money and just dont buy it. i THINK the girl in the store was trying to warn me not to buy it. when she saw me looking at it, she immediately sprayed a paper towel with it and handed it to me to smell. I didn't "get" the furniture polish til i sprayed it in the car. I'm going to return it . it is terrible

Straight up lemon tree. Fresh lemon scent with a masculine edge. Very realistic scent. Its a nice citrus but there is a note that makes it smell too masculine on my skin. Its however a great wear in the hot summer months for that refreshing feel.

not a fan of citrus, but i think this aint offensive at all. wont wear it on myself but do surprisingly find comfort smelling it on others :-3 this suits summer more as its quite fresh n uplifting

Smells too strong and disgusting!

This contains notes of lavender, lemon, lime and petitgrain. When you first spray it, you can smell the lavender and lime (in a lime lifesavers kind of a way). I don't really smell the lemon. It's very earthy/ woody because of the petitgrain. I guess they were going for the whole tree scent, but I don't really get lemon from this. I'm also not a fan of petitgrain unless it's very, very subtle and well blended, otherwise I think it reeks of woodsy B.O., which unfortunately, I get from this. I'm currently working on using it up as a room spray. Do not like this one at all :(. edit- I couldn’t even use it up as a room spray, since it made my living space smell like someone who doesn’t shower or believe in deodorant. I got rid of it.

Pure lemon-y goodness! When I was looking at this in the store the sales girl told me a long and kind of boring story about the person who created this fragrance being inspired by the lemon tree outside their dead father's house. I have a bottle of lemon oil, and it smells almost exactly like this. The only difference is Dad's Lemon Tree has more of a powdery note. The ingredient list of this bottle lists lemon, lime, bergamot and lavender oil. I layered this with Jean Nate and it was beautiful. Of course, this cologne stands alone well and is veerryyy long lasting. My only complaint is that a lot comes out of this bottle when you spray it due to the weird "windex" nozzle Lush likes to use.

This one is the type of clean citrus scents, not fruity not lemon tart; just clean but warm not sharp not metallic not ozonic not acquatic as if it has musk in it, you won't smell musk on its own but as if musk is holding the lemon high to steal the show & lemon is reflecting something more deep, clean & warm. It's not a clone of but same category of dior cologne. The only downfall is the lasting power, it lasts on me for half an hour maximum

Smells like a mix of lemons and a musky cologne in a very pleasant way. The muskiness isn't heavy and the lemon keeps this scent fresh. Like R.diggity said this pairs great freshies/citruses. I layered this with Tommy Bahama Set Sail Martinique Women's Body Spray and it is a perfect summer scent!

Be careful because if you don't like hyperrealistic natural stuff it may come off as lemon cleaner. Not to me thank god ! I get the real, raw cool zest of a fresh lemon, the shade of a lemon tree, concentrated in a bottle. I love this early in the morning and on nature walks!

Mark Constantine created this fragrance in memory of his father's garden. Perfect for the summer, to cool off, the notes of lemon, lime and bergamot stimulate a good mood while the lavender note gives calm and balance. Excellent persistence and duration.

A lemon fruit untouched and cut up are two different scents - in the garden, shouldn’t you smell the first? Plus lemon flower, which, BTW, is heavenly. That’s what you normally smell in a lemon garden. Too bad DGLT is more like cut up lemon / lemon oil.

Very soft, refreshing citrusy lemony scent that I totally fell in love with! The initial burst of lemon right in your face is like 'come on wake up to this sunshine morning!' Just respray after respray every time I feel the scent fading off.

I tried this at LUSH and absolutely loved it. My boyfriend loves lemony scents and he loved it, too! This is very suitable both for men and women, although I'd prefer it for men. It has a perfect lemony scent, that is super fresh. Great!

This was the first ever fragrance I bought and I'm obsessed with it... I bought it cause of a kpop video or something because its been so long since I've had it... honestly this is my signature scent

Smells like men’s cologne. Someone said I smelt like a fancy hotel. Don’t rlly like the lime in the opening but it mellows out pretty quickly

This is very pleasant. i knew there was something special about this scent. Mega citrus hit which is a perfect pick me up in the morning.
