Hairdresser's Husband

This would be my signature summer scent if it lasted for more than 30 minutes on my skin, but even the awful longevity can't stop me raving about this perfume. She's here for a good time, not for a long time - even layering or spraying on clothes won't make this flighty gal stick around for a full hour, meaning that with the price point she becomes a rather expensive habit if you want to smell it all day. Oh, but when she's around it's SO good, you can almost forgive her for loving and leaving you so fast. Hairdresser's Husband contains citrus so creamy it becomes sexy, sparkly and smooth all at once like a good flirt with someone really charming. I can never tell if the lemon/lime/cream effect is edible or not but it never fails to make my mouth water. It gets awed comments from others about how gorgeous it smells whenever I wear it. I acquired two bottles of this second hand (and much cheaper than RRP) so feel no guilt for the almost constant reapplication, but I wouldn't rebuy at the usual price due to the longevity issue. I used almost 1/5th of a 100ml bottle reapplying on a SINGLE DAY at a wedding last summer, working out at £25 worth of perfume at full price. Still, it gets a 'love' vote from me because I can't help but love HH's sunny outlook and uplifting qualities.

Lemon and orange with a touch of lime and enough vanilla and tonka to keep it sweet and feminine. It almost veers into gourmand but just misses the mark of full-on key lime pie. It stays refreshing and feminine throughout its wear and does not change much in the dry down. Longevity is 6 hours and projection is moderate for 2 hours. The name is quite fitting, as I could picture this being the smell of a fancy hair product but way way better. This is my new summer favourite and I can see myself going through many bottles. I fell in love with it right away when I smelled it in-store. The price tag is on par for niche but I think it is well worth it. Is it artsy and unique? No.... but it is beautiful and so well done. Very underrated! If you love citrus, you MUST try this out! Lush makes some of my favourite perfumes in my collection and I highly recommend taking a sniff for yourself. This is sooooooo good. It opens with a delicious, syrupy orange with a grapefruit twang and settles down into a more subtle but tangy orange scent. The vanilla keeps it warm and sweet but it's not so intense that it's bad for summer. I would actually consider this an excellent spring/ summer fragrance! The projection is enormous and on me it lasts literally until I wash it off - I tried it on Saturday and by the Sunday evening it was still on both the tester and the clothes I had worn. It's sweet, heady and kind of like an older, more indulgent sister to Love by Kilian. It's unique but in a positive way. This is absolutely fantastic and I would love to buy a bottle, although I'm shocked at how expensive some of Lush's fragrances are! I can't complain though, they smell so good, they last and they create a beauutiful scent bubble hahaha

This is one of my all-time favourite fragrances - my review is a couple down but I just wanted to note that I got the chance to try the 25:43 body spray in person today and it smells really similar to my nose! I think it's missing that creamy vanilla in the dry down but it definitely has the same overall vibe and is a lot less expensive than Hairdresser's Husband.

The smell of the working companion of the hairdresser, rapidly moving around the salon gathering all kinds of shampoos, conditioners, hair mists, and leave-ins, to assist his wife. The mixed aromas of all the hair products leave him smelling fresh and renewed but warm and inviting. I love lush
