Love

Lush is my favorite bath and skin products, and their fums isn ́t far away. First spritz of Love is strong lemon and lemongrass, really strongly and loud. After about half an hour it settles down and a fresch crisp appelscent whith hints of cinnamon appeares. This is a thoroughly uplifting and fresch scent... Divine :)) For me this is a feminin scent, a wonderful one! One of my favorite from Lush along with Karma, 25:43, Ginger and Orange blossom... by the way... I love most everything from Lush :)) Lush är min favorit produkt gällande bad och hud och deras parfymer är inte långt ifrån. Första spritzen av Love är skarp citron och citrongräs, verkligen skarp och frän. Efter ungefär en halvtimma börjar den tona ner och en fräsh äppeldoft med inslag av kanel framträder. On the first spray the opening notes are heavy with lemongrass and bergamot - the citrus is definitely sharp. As it settles I begin to smell the jasmine and ylang ylang (with the jasmine being a bit more upfront) and the longer it sits on my skin the warm and spicy notes just grow stronger. I am a big fan of the warm cinnamon scent that appears and I think that's what makes it wearable for day, night, winter, summer, all the time basically! I don't really smell apple or rose but that might just be my nose. If you're going to blind buy I think you'd have to really enjoy citrus/lemongrass but don't expect this to be a sweet citrus. If you're like me and are very picky with floral fragrances (especially jasmine!!!) you would probably like this as the citrus and cinnamon notes mellow it out quite a bit and make it a delicate addition to the fragrance. All in all this is one of my most used fragrances. So unique and it lasts all day on the skin and even longer on clothing!

This is a very bright and fruity fragrance with some cozy warmth. It smells just like a granny smith apple pie minus the crust. It's very juicy. IMO this scent can come off summery or autumny depending on what you'd compliment it with. The lemongrass is strong but it comes off like lemon and apples over the usual lemongrass "hippy" smell. I have the perfume solid and I typically mix it with my shea butter lotion but I find that it doesn't last long regardless of my method. Initially though it really packs a punch. It's a good compliment to other scents. I think gourmand fragrances or vanilla would round out the whole "apple pie" vibe.

LOVE the fact that this is natural and therefore not offensive when inhaled deeply. thoroughly uplifting and euphoria enducing - just as freshly fallen in love. This, in my opinion, is the best apple fragrance on the market. It has a lovely gourmand side to it that is thoroughly enjoyable, not overly sweet. A young at heart fragrance yet edgy enough to make a great signature scent. This by the way is also a fabulous study blend. It works better than caffeine in keeping me going.... I use the fragrance balm stick all the time when trying to concentrate. And boy does it help! great potion from lush - better than Snow White, I think!

I love this scent. The lemongrass is noticeable when first sprayed. Each of the scents shows up as it dries down. It smells like a beautiful incense and stays in the air like one. It is powerful and lasts. You do not need a lot. It will linger, trail and waft. The juicy bergamot helps to keep the show going. I would, definitely, suggest spraying it on 30mins before going anywhere. It is strong and needs time to settle down. I use it on my pulse points and let it do its magic. It's a year round scent.

If you girls don't like it on yourselves (I know I didn't), try it on your BF's/husbands instead! You'll be amazed. The fresh lemongrass/apple combo smells amazing on guys, a lot more exciting and unusual than if a woman would wear it. I'm not saying that it's bad on women, but it's definitely more groundbreaking on men in my opinion. Very unisex because of it's natural ingredients, if it was more synthetic it would have been less unisex. Good luck experimenting!

on me, this smells almost exactly like granny smith apple pie filling. very tart, warm spiced apples with an extra little green zing from the lemongrass. makes me think a lot of the kilian apple-y fragrances except for after 2-4 hours it smells like straight up dust. like musty stale dust with a hint of lemongrass and green apple, which i’m not against. i feel like i could sling a hay bale in this but it also makes me want an old fashioned. love it

Another fav perfume from Lush. Its very citrusy perfume but not fresh, geeen citrus. More of sirupy citrus. I agree w comments about lemongrass, it was my first issue as well but it last first 5 minutes and then it calms to citrusy, sunny, sweet scents. Reminds me lemon candy

VERY lemony when you first spray it, then dried down and stays with you as a zingy, zesty and floral ghost that trails you! its powerful and sexy, whenever i wear it i always get compliments! <3

I used to work in Lush as a student. I was part of the original crew that opened the Bournemouth store, which is only 20 mins away from Poole, where the Lush factory makes products for the UK. Mark Constantine used to pop into the shop from time to time and even donned an apron and worked a shift with us once! Anyway, on my trial shift for the job, I had to work in the Poole store, as the Bournemouth one was still being fitted out. This was in the days of Lush’s B Never too Busy to be Beautiful label. I absolutely fell in love with two of their fragrances - Keep it Fluffy and Love. This was back in maybe 2005 / 2006... I was a poor student, and even with the discount, I couldn’t afford to get the full sizes. I bought two 10ml sprays and eeked them out over the years. Well, dear reader, the year is now 2023 and going through my wardrobe recently I found both atomisers, with a small amount left in each. Apprehensive, I sprayed Love and was instantly transported back to the heady days of my early 20s. I was amazed it still smelt as intoxicating and beautiful as I remembered - baked apple pie, cinnamon, rose and jasmine. I wore it everyday at the start of autumn until it finally spritzed its last. This weekend I went back to the Lush in Bournemouth, a good 3.5 hours drive away from where I now live. Imagine my delight when I see they have a bottle of Love to purchase, and a tester too. I knew they sold it on the website, but I was reluctant to fork out for the tweaked formulation in case it wasn’t what I remembered. I tested it, wore it for the day and fell in Love with it all over again. It’s stronger on the initial lemon and juicy bergamot burst, but it’s still got that baked apple pie scent and sweet, floral dry down. I went back this morning and purchased the bottle. If you were a fan of the original B version, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with the newer formulation. This is flirty, comforting and heady. It’s got serious girl-next-door vibes. The fizzy lemon candy burst and the spicy apple pie take me back to my childhood, but the jasmine and ylang-ylang remind me of my teenage years - crushing on boys and lighting incense in my room. Finally, the sexy, sweet dry-down is more reminiscent of the signature scents I wear now I’m in late 30s. I feel like this scent has grown with me and I’m delighted to have a full bottle back in my life!

I agree with the review below me. It’s a confusing scent. I’m torn between really liking it and be annoyed with it. The opening is a very sharp blast of strong citrus and lemongrass that stays very strong for about an hour. Very, very strong overwhelming sweet lemongrass scent that lasts incredibly long. It reminds me of a strong lemonade with almost too much sugar in it. There is some apple, spice and then the very sweet warm floral notes come out and are very beautiful with mostly ylang and jasmine. At this point at about 1.5 to 2 hours on its warm, creamy, lemon, floral, sweet, deliciousness. But it takes a lot of intensity of fizzy, sweet citrus to get there. Just like Lust it’s screaming in your face. Love is fickle and if you LOVE sugary lemon then this is your jam. If you don’t this isn’t your “Love” For me I wish the floral notes we’re more front and center because they are the best part of this fragrance. If I were creating this fragrance I’d take the sweet lemongrass down from an 11 to a 7 or 8. But then the intensity starts to grow on you. At first your overwhelmed by it being just too sweet, too citrus then like an over the top lover it starts to win you over. I am simultaneously into this and drawn to it because I keep smelling my wrist of this over the top crazy personality... just calm down...we like you, we really like you Sally.

I kinda wish they'd kept the name "Fizzbanger" instead of "Love" for this perfume. Maybe "Mother's Love" or something of the like. It seems almost too cliche to use rose and cinnamon (can scents be cliche?) as a representation of love and its many incarnations. When I see the word "Love" on products I think of the generic Valentines Day/romantic fluffery so I think it's a bit misleading if you go in with that expectation. This to me isn't really a "sexy" scent. It's too gentle. French toast, fruitloops, and orange juice on the breakfast table at Nana's house. The jasmine sorta behaves in this, at least, and the soapy factor toes the line and pretty much fades after a bit. It has a strong underlying layer of women's body powder, just shy of being cloyingly sweet. It's a lovely fruity/floral/gourmand fragrance with an interesting push-pull between childish and matronly, but the scent is just too concentrated for me to wear. I simply like taking out my sample vial on occasion and revisiting it for the sake of nostalgia. Side note, my skin is very sensitive to cinnamon oil. I've never applied "Love" heavily or to anywhere delicate, so I don't know if it would cause this same reaction, but I'm not taking any chances.... *suspicious glare*

This perfume is the epitome of Lush! You walk into the store and this is what you smell..toss in a touch of spice and mint and that's Lush, a magical place that is dreamy to visit. Wow The burst of lemon is powerful and longlasting. I get cinnamon and fruity understated tones as it dries down. Really lovely. Not into fruity scents because most come off as juvenile but this one is all grown up. Nice sillage and longevity. I do think this is not a safe blind buy, however. Unless lemon is your thing, or you are into the Lush DNA, which permeates nearly every scent they make..give it a sample first. Lush is great with returns, but why go through that. EDIT- This perfume is eternal on clothes and becomes a skin scent after about 6 hours, on bare skin.

Very interesting, love it, but don't like to wear it. Fresh (but not plain) citrus-cinnamon scent. It reminds me of ginger, with the same spicy fresh quality. I think I like this scent more in bath products, and maybe as a home fragrance. I can't put my finger on it why, but I don't think it's suitable as a perfume. I will try it again at a hot summer evening, that may be perfect, because it's refreshing, but also full of mystery and promisses, and it has a strange attractive power.

DO NOT SPARY ON GENETIALS OR ARM PITS THE CINNAMON WILL BURN THE FUCK OUT OF YOU....with that out of the way. Very sweet. Apple and cinnamon here are prominent. The rose and ylang ylang are soft yet not hidden. Lovely scent maybe just a little too sweet for me and more feminine side. Could probably wear this scent in any temp or season and it would have a place. 3 hours or so sent to my nose and moderate projection. Lovely scent but not quite for me won't repurchase. 4/5

So, I went from my review below of likening/being annoyed by this to slowly becoming OBSESSED with it. How? HOW does Lush do this with so many fragrances?? Lush is the only house I can go from not liking to liking to obsession. They do it time and time again. Must be some black magic they use.

A year-round scent. It is bright and citrusy enough for warm weather but the apple and cinnamon warm it up enough for the cold. It opens up as a sweet citrus, but I think in the dry down starts to smell too much like a candle. I do like it but its not my fave from Lush

Clean rose with some orange. Not overwhelming but romantic summery and girly. I really enjoy this when I'm feeling (not acting) flirtatious.

Did they change this? The new (2016) bottle (with no spray) smells a bit pongy.

Bright, grassy, and powerful! The lemongrass wins out over all but it does have a nice spiced apple note below.

I was so excited when this came out for Valentine's Day in 2011,.but when i tried it - spraying it on my neck, it started to nip and then burn my skin! I had to wash my neck with toner water, and a lot of it before it stopped stinging. I do have extremely sensitive skin, and I'm the only person I know who had this reaction. I think im sensitive to lemongrass :(

The opening blast of cinnamon and apple is so overwhelming, it smells completely and utterly like a fruit loaf cake! Then extremely pungent lemongrass follows, blanketing any other note that might be in there. I'm usually a big fan of Lush fragrances, but this is fairly unpleasant.

I had the solid perfume of this and depending on the day it either smelt like lemongrass or freshly baked apple pie - but never both at the same time. I wouldn't mind my house smelling like this but it's not for me as a personal fragrance.

I'm not sure if I like it or not. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I smell that weird spicy apple note and sometimes I smell lemongrass, which I like. I don't wear it very often. The sillage is great however.

Unfortunately citrus just doesn't work well on my skin. My son said this smells like the toilets in the motorway service station.

The lemongrass in the opening is so refreshing and beautiful. I fell in love with the opening, but was soon let down. As it dried on my skin it became really unpleasant...almost nauseating. I think it might be the apple that is bothering me. I often have a problem with apple notes. Here it mostly smells like bitter apple peels instead of sweet apple juice. As the lovely lemongrass fades the bitter apple peel takes over everything else and almost smells like burnt or melting plastic. Since Love has a pretty good rating this must be a skin chemistry problem. The caramel apple bliss that is advertised on the Lush site, did not happen for me. Of course this is a fragrance with impressive performance. I may have applied just a little to liberally because of the refreshing opening. The projection is nearly room filling even after a couple hours. It also lasted forever. After 8 hours I tried to scrub it off and it would just not go away. I could still smell it on my skin when I went to bed almost 12 hours after application. I found the fragrance pretty unisex, but for anyone that gets a sweeter apple note and the florals aren't drowned out, this make be much more feminine. I would caution against blind buying this one. I am so glad I had a sample of this and don't have to try to find a new home for a full bottle.

Lush Love is a sweet, fruity fragrance with a subtle hint of spice. It's actually rather delicious on the skin, uplifting too. This fragrance opens with a strong citrusy burst of lemon, bergamot and lemongrass. These notes are both crisp and sweet, so with no hesitation I would recommend Lush Love for Spring and Summer wear. Red apple further compliments this fragrance's fruitiness, however a touch of cinnamon in the heart creates a different mood, spicing it up. Lush Love does have a somewhat medicinal aroma, however I don't consider it unpleasant in any way. All the notes in this composition tend to work together really well, and once again Lush has created a fragrance that I really like. To my nose this fragrance is a feminine scent, but I wouldn't discourage men from wearing it too. I believe Lush Love to be one of the easiest scents to like from this quirky brand. Its sweetness will really appeal to the younger generation. As you would expect from Lush, Love has excellent longevity and sillage. I'm not sure where you'd find this limited edition, but I tried mine in a sample set. It's one fragrance from this brand that I wholeheartedly recommend testing.

Although I usually like Lush perfumes and body sprays a lot, in this case I didn't enjoy Love. Its opening is very, very citrusy, with a mix of lemony notes and lemongrass that feel a bit pungent to me. Then cinnamon (very powerful) and apple quickly appear, both notes for me are protagonists of the heart of the perfume, with a floral background dominated by jasmine, with a certain sweetness of ylang ylang. In the later drydown, what remains on my skin is progressively only the cinnamon. As for projection, it is notable and its duration is very good, exceeding 10 hours. I really see this perfume only suitable for unconditional lovers of the cinnamon note, but, to my nose, which is often tolerant of less refined compositions and high-power perfumes, it has been a bit excessive. I think that its scent would be more suitable for an air freshener, a candle... for those moments when we want to have a special time and we look forward to the wintery warmth of that mix of apple and cinnamon. This is equal parts endearing and confusing. It is a bright, cheerful fragrance, but it also teeters on overbearing. The note combination is sort of odd to my nose, and depending on which facet I pick up on, this is either likable or too gregarious, like a friend whose company you enjoy but who is a little much: the greeting and parting hugs are too tight and too long, and the laughter at your driest quip just a bit too forceful. Part of you wishes she'd tone it down, but then she wouldn't be so singularly herself, would she? She's Love! Love is almost excessively sweet and baked goods-ish, but then there's that refreshingly crisp citrus and lemongrass and the lovely florals. It doesn't abide by the adage that one should take off one accessory before leaving the house; she wants to have her sticky apple crumble cake and her hippyish essential oils, too. I wouldn't be shocked if this ends up growing on me, though; it wouldn't be the first time ambivalence turned to obsession where Lush is concerned.

This smells like a sticky apricot covered in burnt sugar (or chronic resin :) sitting in a room filled with incense. Thankfully I don't smell any cinnamon. I got a sample of this and the smell of freedom, and today was the first-time I wore this seriously. The resinous smell is fantastic it reminds me of a drippy heart. Like an artistic rendition of a heart wrapped in thorns, because its got a beautiful quality like the happiness love brings but there is still darkness there. Love is always shrouded in darkness. True love is pain too. But I digress. Maybe I've just had a s**try weekend because some dude ---- who cares. I like this perfume. I need to get orange blossom.

Love by Lush smelled like a wet dog on me. Omg. I’m having flashbacks just remembering this scent. Please don’t let this deter you, as you may end up enjoying this... I tried to love this so much. However, it smelled like wet dog! I have a schnauzer and it smells like whenever I try to bathe him and he tries to run away... like a wet dog shaking the water off its fur. Also, I must note this perfume made my skin burn. I thought I was allergic to it or something. Not to my knowledge, as I’m not allergic to anything that I know of thus far, but this perfume would make my skin burn whenever I would spray it. My skin would get irritated and it would feel uncomfortable.

Upon applying Lush LOVE, I immediately detected a strong jasmine presence. Within minutes, it was completely overtaken and clobbered by lemongrass oil. A few minutes later, the cinnamon began surfacing and mingling with the lemon grass. In the end, this creation reminded me quite a lot of the scent of a lemon grass and maté tea from Numi. But is it perfume? To be honest (quoi d'autre?), this particular entry in the Lush line-up seems less like a composed perfume and more like a simple mixture of essential oils. The lemongrass is really heavy and overbearing and crushes any subtlety which might have been hidden within this perfume.

Absolutely adore this. This still has the same feel and vibe as all the other Lush perfumes but this one is a little gem! It opens very sexy and fresh, the citruses/lemongrass and apple are there but they are not the most prominent notes. I get a HUGE smokey vibe from this perfume that just gets more and more intense as it dries. It smells like dry jasmine, sexy and smoky. It's almost medicinal and quite masculine in my opinion. Smells leathery, woody and very husky. Mine is aged quite alot. I've had it for some time and I'm pretty sure it smells different to when I got it new. Just shows this perfume has character and morph.

I will say first that I only have the solid version of this perfume, not the liquid. This smells a lot like some sort of vitamin C to me - kind of artificial and medicinal. Upon first applying, I got a lot of lemon, some sort of spiciness lurking in the background, maaaaybe a hint of apple, quite possibly, quite possibly not, and that same medicinal smell. It doesn't change very much over time.

Do not blind buy, even as a lush connoisseur! I wanted a pure lemongrass like the anti mosquitoes candles thing, love this smell. Quite disappointed as this one doesnt really give me that, the mix with the cinnamon and lemon makes the lemongrass hardly recognisable. Still very sharp, barely sweet, weirdly blended. An oddball. Still on the search for a pure lemongrass candle frag.

I'm not really sure what to make of this. When I first put it on I could smell the lemon really strongly and I thought it was quite loud and feminine. After about half an hour I smelt my wrists again and it wasn't as loud and it had gone quiet masculine on me. I think I prefer the after smell my self. it is definitely a day time perfume

It's the LEMONGRASS that's burning everyone's sensitive areas. It's in their SOAP too . They should be more careful. That said : this is a nice composition with apple and lemongrass giving it a "fresh kick". Very unisex but I have a strong feeling MEN do not shop at LUSH for fragrances . Guys- I would think you would love this !

Love is supposed to smell like the Fizzbanger ballistic, but it smells mostly like very cheap cologne, really masculine but not in a good way. If you want to have a good smelling apple and cinnamon perfume you should better try All About Eve from Joop.

Didn't know that Lush was doing perfume, must go into the shop and try it. It sounds lovely and if it's like their other products I will probably have to buy a bottle. Lush is my fav bath products, we will have to wait and see :)

Edit: I totally smell straight lemony lemons before the dry down. I had just showered earlier and I think the other smells hid it. Once it dries I smell the apricot that I'm sure lush mentioned, and all the resions.

Another so-so quite meaningless Lush perfume. It started fruity and strong on my skin and in a hour or so became like a non-descriptive masculin scent more towards unisex cologne. Longlasting for sure but what for?

Oh nooooo, I don't like it on me!!! Smells like nasty air freshener! Had to spray 2 other perfumes over it just to make it tolerable to wear today. Oh well, at least I only bought the teeny tiny vial.

Feel like the lemongrass is too prominent, it literally smells like caramel apple but with a weird almost minty lemongrass note. Kind of makes me recall toothpaste.

This is herby, incense, has a little bit of a church scent in the backgroud, with bam citrus .... did buy blind .... oyoyoyoye ..... this is not a fragrance

Citrus and cinnamon. The perfume is reaaaally strong. A more citrus version of their hair milk. It's really nice.

I love it, but it doesn't sit on my skin very well. Try before you buy :)
