Ponche

Love this one!!!! It's so hard to describe because I don't really know what buchu, petigrain, or artemisia smell like (thus I am not voting on the notes just yet) but this is what it smells like to me: Kind of like Calacas/Day of the Dead, with that citrusy, fruity feel. There is a slight hint of something which reminded me of the neroli that Calacas has, so maybe that's the artemisia or petitgrain. I believe buchu has a black currant smell (from what I've read), so I think that's kinda mixed in with the other fruity notes. There is definitely some booze in there too. LUSH describes it as a tequila drink, and you can tell it's a little drunk! I also get spices, like the kind you find in mulled wine. I'm not sure what that comes from. I feel like this note list is incomplete though. Well I LOVE the scent, and it's so yummy. A little sweet, a little spicy, and a little boozy. I can actually see wearing this in summer, to be honest, since it's got a freshness to it. So glad I got this.

I did a review on youtube for those interested. I had the shower gel last year in a christms giftset and it immediately became my favourite and I wanted so bad for it to be in fragrance form. When I saw this being advertised on facebook I literally got it the day after it came out...slightly worried that the delicious scent from the shower gel wouldn't translate into a perfume. Luckily it did rather well and true to the original scent. Very loud and tropical, but without the strong pineapple smell usually associated with tropical beachy fragrances. This is like a sunny cocktail and really brings to mind the party atmosphere. Boozy and heavy this is perfect for clubbing or general parties. I am very glad I purchased this but hope they come out with it every year as I can see my 30ml dissapearing very quickly!!!

I find this very similar to the soap but not exact. The perfume is a much more tropical scent with a very subtle alcoholic smell. A bit similar to a toned down Hawaiian punch drink.

Hohoho..wait a minute! What an addictive scent is in the bottle! Soo delicious with a strong sillage. Perfect for happy summer. I love it!

Ponche is basically like very boozy fruit punch. It's nice, I like it, but I did eventually sell my bottle because I didn't find it had much depth. It's OK, but I prefer the shower gel to the fragrance.

I've not sniffed the original product this was inspired by, but to me it smells like boozy orange. Very straightforward, unchanging, and ultimately not that interesting on my skin. Not the best of LUSH scents.
