Rose Jam 2019

Give me roses n jam or give me death! I'll take these roses n jam, thank you very much! Rose Jam --- how you make my heart sing! This is a luscious, deep, super jammy rose with a nice level of sweetness, making it girly but not immature. I adored this the first time I smelled it, and proceeded to buy a travel size. What really bowled me over with this scent, though, was putting my coat on the day after having sprayed Rose Jam. While on my daily dog walk I kept getting wafts of this gorgeous rosy scent, even though I hadn't sprayed anything on that afternoon. Finally I was able to locate the source of the aroma to my coat sleeve, then recalled I'd sprayed Rose Jam on the day prior. It clings so firmly and beautifully to clothing, and lasts on skin ALL DAY!!! I have serious perfume-eating skin, so very few in my collection pass this test. It also projects nicely. I made the bold decision to wear this to work the other day (I'm a teacher), and a five year old student near me said "something smells sweet!" I had a feeling I knew the source, so asked: "What does it smell like?" He said "like strawberry yogurt," which I thought was quite an apt description! Rose Jam is simply gorgeous and one I will treasure for a long time to come. Bravo again, LUSH!!!

a few months ago a lush employee gave me a sample of the rose jam shower gel and it awakened a love for rosy, syrupy scents in me. i bought the shower gel because i loved the scent so much. i tried the body spray and found it didn't quite live up to the shower gel's scent. the perfume is much closer in my opinion. lush is quite good at being photorealistic when it comes to their scents and rose jam is no exception. this perfume encapsulates the idea of 'rose jam' so well. as expected it opens very rosy and syrupy with hints of lemon in the background. this is a very decadent and sweet scent that i just find so addicting! in terms of sillage and longevity i've found that this is strong in both of those aspects. a little goes a long way. this could become VERY cloying if oversprayed so moderation is important when it comes to rose jam. on my skin this lasts about 7 hours and on clothes even longer. the sillage isn't crazy- i don't think it takes up a whole room when you walk in but it definitely radiates around me enough for people to notice when you get close. i personally love this so much but if you're not into super sweet scents then this probably won't be for you.

heyheyyyy!! this is an all-time favorite. as a lover of sweet perfumes, this has gone on to become my signature scent, to the point where i’ve gotten the spray and two solid perfumes. true to its name, it is a very sweet candied rose smell. on first spray, your nose is bombarded by the smell of sugar and rose. SO much rose. extremely gourmand, and a very confident scent. do NOT buy this if you have an aversion to sweet perfumes. you will die. the middle is my favorite part of the perfume. it’s comforting and all-enveloping, the spice reminding me so much of my mother’s homemade jellies with clove oil when i was a child. a warm hug meant to be smeared onto bread, sticking to your lips and teeth. this is the kind of perfume that never leaves your skin once you let it dry down, it just stays sticking to your clothes and hair as you walk down the street. i have gotten so many compliments from people while wearing this perfume. i smell like a freaking rose lollipop. my boyfriend cannot stop HUFFING me whenever i spray this on—it’s just so feminine and cute!! again, do NOT buy this if you hate sweet smells and rose. it will never leave you.

I tried it on the skin out of curiosity as i'm normally not a number one rose perfumes fan. First 15 minutes it smelled weirdly juicy and i found it super unpleasant. Wait tho. After some time it settled so wonderfully, i couldn't stop smelling the spot where i sprayed it. It's like sniffing the rose flower itself, though exaggerated, somehow powdery while also fresh. A little oldschool with a cheeky twist. It was an art piece in the bottle. Makes you stop and smell roses. No other choice. They are in your face and you have to stop whatever you're doing and notice them. And you want to do so cause it's sooo good. It was the most surprising beast-mode perfume for me. The smell reminded me of the taste of turkish delight candy. And of spring and walks in a garden. On the skin it lasts long and is a bit sticky. I'm still contemplating whether to have this in my collection. I love the smell, but somehow doesn't feel like i'm one with the perfume. It's more like the perfume exists in the surrounding air and i can only be amazed by it. Still giving this 5/5.

This is really nostalgic for me. I lived in China 10 years ago and one desert Ive been dreaming of since is Yunnan flower cakes. With a name like Rose Jam i was hopeful and it truly didnt dissapoint, this smells exactly like the filling of those cakes which is rose petals turned into jam. Spraying this really takes me back to a happy period in my life when I tried those cakes for the first time. My only complaint is this is a beast mode fragrance, one spray is really enough to smell it the whole day. I prefer to spray my outfit the night before so the scent has time to settle down so its not as overpowering, or spraying far from my nose so i just catch it every now and then. I do love how long it lasts though and that a little goes a long way. This sticks around forever on fabric, i can smell it days later. I usually dont enjoy floral fragrances at all but its a very edible scent, because while i don't like to wear roses i love to eat them or drink rose tea. If youre a gourmand lover give this a shot.

This is Delina’s soft spoken, younger cousin. I truly think they hold a similar DNA. Back to Rose Jam. She’s so beautiful! I loved this when I was a teenager, and I love this now that I’m older. It smells like a gorgeous rosy and strawberry marmalade scent. Rosy, strawberry jam. Ripe strawberries, fragrant and blossoming roses. How beautiful. Something about this just smells so delectable. Syrupy roses with baby powder dusted on top. I do love this so much. It’s sweet, syrupy, girly, floral, and a tad bit powdery to balance everything out. The reason I had mentioned that it smelled like strawberry jam, is because it smells edible almost. However, I will say the roses are the main star of the show, and you’ll only be left with an edible kind of rosy smell. Like someone was brewing rose petal tea and had some leftover flowers, so they used them to make their morning jam. The red berries are perfectly mixed with the rose petals, creating the most beautiful, delectable aroma of fancy marmalade.

While I cannot imagine narrowing down my fragrances to just 5.....Rose Jam is a fragrance I can never be without. There was a point in my life where you could not convince me to hate this perfume. I wore it every day straight for a year. All my friends eventually associated this with me. When I still smoked cigarettes the sweet jammy rose would eventually mix together with the cigarette smoke I had lingering on me everywhere, and it was like a whole new scent had formed and became uniquely me. This perfume has just the right amount of syrupy sweetness to me. There is nothing green or sharp about this rose too (thank goodness!) It even gets a touch buttery depending on the climate. The performance itself is no slouch. The scent will stick to surfaces, clothing, etc and leaves a strong trail. On skin it'll last 10+ hours. I think people are by in large intimated by this perfume but I can completely understand why and it won't be everyone's cup of tea.

Brings to mind a Push Pop(?!) That which was once powder ingredient blended into a wet creamy ensemble, tart & refreshing, possibly lickable. Or alternately- the Tazo "Passion" hibiscus/rose hips/etc blend iced tea (I've actually smelled it against this haha). Super juicy initially. In dry down the powder aspect of the rose comes forward a bit and creates a warmer composition overall, but thankfully that tart edge does still remain perceptible, which is impressive. Sweet but refreshing like the iced tea, I find myself craving it in summer. Lasting power is a medium (I am a somewhat generous 6 point spritzer: wrists, elbow creases, neck), starts off fairly "big" as Lush fragrances go, but an hour or two in the projection is significantly diminished, and it gets a lot more "close." Fine with me- personally I love the opening so much, I actually enjoy reapplying this one. Playful, not an expected perfume scent- this one receives high marks!

I started using the Rose Jam body wash and body spray in junior year of high school and I loved it for many years. I am a huge fan of the rose scent but I HATE the idea of like a grandma scent (yk the florals that are just so floral and almost like thin? like just smelling like flowers and nothing giving it any body or anything). Rose Jam is perfect for that, you smell the sweet rose on top but after you've worn it a bit it just smells yummy. It is so long lasting and the sillage is pretty strong. I recently switched daily scents because I felt I had outgrown Rose Jam a bit (now a sophomore in college), and I switched to layering Charlotte Tilbury's Love Frequency and Nest's Vanilla Bourbon, which kind of just feels like a more mature Rose Jam but also I think I might like Rose Jam more so I might just switch back after I finish the bottles!

Lush - Rose Jam | The name says it all. It smells exactly as I expected. The sweetness strongly reminds me of strawberry or any berry jam. This makes the perfume almost edible. However, it is a super sweet yet slightly fresh scent. As in freshness from berries/citrus. Behind this follows a warm (cozy vibe) woody undertones. As The main accords suggest fresh spicy. I feel that this provides balance to the sweetness and preventing it from becoming too overwhelming. For me, in the first 1–2 hours, the sweetness dominates. After some time, the spicy warmth becomes more prominent. The rose note is instantly noticeable and remains consistent throughout. In essence, this fragrance exudes an edible rose jam sweetness with a touch of freshness and warmth. NOTE: this is a SWEEET GOURMAND perfume sent!

I think this perfumes balances sweet, rosy, and citrusy wonderfully. It also feels a little bit herbal somehow, kind of relaxing where some roses can be a bit too loud for that sort of vibe. I think this is a nice rose to wear for bedtime. I tend to like sweet scents, but I do have a hard stop where they become too sickly for me, and this one is probably the farthest I am willing to go on the spectrum. I think if this scent had a touch of grapefruit in it, I'd never wear a different fragrance again. The geranium definitely elevates the rose into a brighter/greener territory and I think it is balanced nicely here- it doesn't overpower the rose but brightens it into being a bit fresher than rose is on its own. Definitely not even remotely powdery to me.

Rose jam has a very heady floral opening that slowly cascades into an almost sickly sweet note at the end, similar to cotton candy or, more literally, candied rose petals. Middle notes are rich and expansive and are brought to the surface with the acidity of the lemon. Notably not citrusy however. The Rose note is very strong in this perfume, and when it settles on the skin it can be a little overpowering (in the best way). Smells almost edible, like it would be used to top a really decadent vanilla cake to pair with the floral notes. I can imagine this being worn specifically to the following events; tea parties, a concert that plays a mix of pop and jazz music somehow, and to a clothing store that only sells very bright fluffy pink cardigans.

I first got the pleasure of smelling this scent many moons ago when I worked for Lush and fell in love. I hadn't owned this scent for years but frequently thought about it and how lovely it was. I gave in last week and bought it again. It was honestly even yummier than I remembered it. I will say that it wouldn't be a great choice for people who don't like strong scents, but I adore strong-projecting, long-lasting perfume. To me, it smells like rose turkish delight with a hint of high quality vanilla. My partner said this reminded him of a marmalade he used to make when he was a chef. So either way, this smells incredibly edible.

Starts with a bright and zesty rose and lemon combo that vaguely reminds me of Jo Malone Red Roses, but that quickly fades away and leaves a truly jammy rose scent that is so sweet, tart, and "thick" smelling. It is what lingers for the longest while, and it is quite potent - more than two spritz can fill an elevator. The dry down is what keeps me coming back for more tbh. It's a tad spicy but still sweet, with an undertone reminiscent of Playdoh. Overall, I find this playful and fun yet very intoxicating. It is not a safe blind buy though, just like most Lush perfumes. It can be overwhelming or overly sweet for some.

I have the solid perfume version of this and it smells so yummy. Very much a jammy rose like the name suggests. i would almost go so far as to call it a gourmand perfume. it smells super sweet but you can also get some hints of that rose in there as well. it also just sort of reminds me of how the store Lush smells as well. but that might just be me. im super lucky because this does work for my body chemistry, but i’ve seen people complain that it doesn’t work for them, so I would say this isn’t a safe blind buy, and you should definitely try it in stores before making your purchase if you’re interested.

I actually love this scent. Especially for the price, this is something that I always keep on hand. It can be way too much for people, but if you enjoy the sweet rose scent, you can also just go for the shower gel or the solid perfume. They smell the same (or at least similar enough) but are more subtle and closer to the skin. Alternatively, if you are looking for a rose scent, I can also recommend the Rose Argan massage bar. It has the Rose Jam scent, but it is more affordable and also nourishing. Just rub it into your skin after you take a shower and you don't even need to apply any perfume.

I stumbled upon this gem in January 2025 during the sales in Malaysia, and it has since become my signature scent. Sweet and rosy, it blooms like Persian rose jam in the sun. On my tropical escapes I used to layer it with other perfumes and oils, like Al Rehab's Soft, and the compliments poured in nonstop, especially from men. The best part, it lingered, which almost never happens in the heavy air of Southeast Asia. Now, back in my freezing Nordic exile, I wear it and it instantly pulls me back to the warmth of my bungalow on that Thai island ♥️💦

mmmmmmm what a boozy jammy turkish rose scent. i know most people dont think rose jam is all that and just smells like the store, but i might genuinely be obsessed with turkish rose scents. warm and sweet and an almost yeasty bread like smell to put a bow on it. its scrumptious and works so amazingly well as a powder, might be generic but i LOVE this rose scent. so sweet and warm but if anything i wish it was even warmer! possibly i tinge dustier in the way a lightbulb gets dusty, perhaps ill layer the two whenever i get clue perfumerys set

One of my favorite rose-dominant fragrances. If you liked Tom Ford’s Rose Jam or Penhaligon’s Elizabethan Rose 2018 but didn’t want to pay the high prices for either scent, then this is a great choice. I was fortunate enough to be able to compare both the liquid and solid perfumes simultaneously today. The liquid perfume lasts longer and has a more noticeable sillage, while the solid one has a less potent jammy accord. I wound up buying the solid perfume today, but will get the liquid version later on.

I absolutely love this fragrance. I was after a Turkish delight scent and this is exactly what I wanted. It’s a sweet, powdered sugar rose fragrance with a bouncy jelly/jammy-ness that perfectly depicts the texture of Turkish delight. I’m not a rose person, this is my only rose fragrance. The initial spray is a green rose but dries down more to a rose water, not as heavy. It definetly has a slightly soapy quality but not one that bothers me. It’s a lot sweeter than most rose fragrances I’ve smelt.

Before you read the rest of my review, I want to start off by saying that I think this is a beautiful scent. I'm not typically a rose lover, but the sweetness and citrus make this so youthful and feminine. However, my co-worker seems to strongly disagree and told me to "never ever wear that again". I've never received a similar reaction to a perfume so it caught me off guard. I don't have the heart to toss it but I will be more cautious about where I wear it from now on. 10/10 sillage 😅

I spray my pillow and PJ’s with this for a blissful sleep. I thought I hated rose then I met Rose Jam. It was the bubbleroon that first won me over. I never experienced a scent memory before I smelled this in the suds. I still can’t place it but it evokes the warm fuzzies in me. Now I am a rose-hunting perfume junkie. I still seek out my deep dark patchoulis, ouds, leather, smoke, booze etc but this is just fun and delicious. And cheap! I pay so much more so much less.

Rose Jam is one of my favorite perfumes, but I reach for it very rarely because my husband can’t stand it. :( To me, it’s a simple mix of delicious rose marmalade and geranium. It reminds me of the Bulgarian rose oil that my grandmother brought back from a vacation in the 80s (one of my absolute favorite scents). As for my husband... He says these perfumes smell like bread soaked in beer. I have no idea where that association comes from, but be careful. 😁

I absolutely love this fragrance!! It's such a lovely jammy honeyed rose and smells exactly like the bubble bar and shower gel. It's now one of my signatures right by Violet Mallow! I definitely prefer this perfume over the body spray, to me the spray just doesn't smell anything like the other Rose Jam products and isn't very rosie or honeyed. Also, on my skin this fragrance last about 3-4 hours and about a day on clothes.

Such a delicious rose scent! I have been eyeing up this fragrance for years (at least 2017 with the body spray version) and it's still as good as I remember it being. If you like to smell gorgeous for a long time, with great projection- this is definitely the perfume for you. It kinda reminds me of Serge Lutens La Fille de Berlin, but with a stronger sweetness and MUCH better longevity.

I have just bought this today and I have very much fallen in love with it. The rose in this perfume isn't too heady and stops the sweet jam scent from becoming too sickly. This is just a sweet simple perfume. Perfect for a picnic in the spring or to warm the cold winter days. But as for any Lush perfume don't spray too much, otherwise it will become heady and sickly very quickly.

very cutesy jammy rose; pair this with ro's argan in the bath, and phew .... on the skin, it smells faintly of rose turkish delights, as if you munched your way through a tin of them from someone who adores you very much! undeniably so, you are the rose of their eye. in my mind's eye, this is the kind of frag you wear when you want the world to know that you are loved immensely.

Ok I didn’t know I needed this in my life but now I can’t live without it. How much money I’ve spent on niche fragrances and this is the one that gets all the compliments 😂. It is a photorealistic rose jam in the opening. It dries down synthetic but in a very good way- it smells pink and girly and reminds me to the sugary berry scented plastic toys I played with growing up.

My first love... girly and pretty and makes me feel 10x more beautiful. Not your typical rose it is definitely okay for gourmand or sweet lovers... not that this is super gourmand but, that crowd might appreciate this over the 'refined florals' lovers. My Mum hates sickly sweet perfumes, she enjoys more herbal or masculine fragrances, but she still liked this.

A joyful scent, almost childlike in its ability to find delight in small pleasures. It smells like homemade, rose jam, still warm and freshly made. It's cozy, comforting, and delightful—you can momentarily forget about everything and simply indulge. It lingers quite long, enveloping and staying close, yet noticeable. A magnificent, wonderful experience!

As a rose lover I was eager to find this after hearing such good things about it and I am anything but dissatisfied. The rose smell is the strongest with lovely sweet undertones, can be sickly if overused but a regular amount of sprays does the job well and as time goes on the smell mellows out beautifully. I am making this my go to spring perfume 🌹

this scent makes me happy! it’s a sweet fruity rose. not overly floral, which i was worried about. it’s a delicious and joyous little concoction that feels young and carefree but at the same time very lush-like with their more complex, beautifully unique ‘oriental’ nuances. strong projection, okay longevity, lasts about 3-4 hours on my skin

I fell in love with the soap and the perfume is just the same. Smells like really sweet and sour, super concentrated Country Time lemonade with a bit of rosewater mixed in. It blooms throughout the wear, very green and pointed at the beginning, then ripe and sweet at the end. Seems to get bigger too! This is it for me right now

I fell in love with this scent the first sniff! It's a honeyed rose experience. I must agree with the other comments, it is very sweet. But it smells natural and to my nose it's a honeyed sweetness. There is a slight smokiness or incense in the opening but it fades pretty quickly on my skin. I am super happy with this purchase!

I got the solid version of this and I love it so much. I'm usually not too much of a rose fan when its floral heavy but this is a very sweet candied rose smell. Once it dries down, you can smell the lemon more and it has like this taffy scent. I love to spray Fantasy by BS over it... it's a heavenly combination omg.

Rewriting my old review because oh my god this is good. My nose must have changed because my first impression was just plain rose, but after smelling this again recently it smells exactly like a jelly filled donut. Sugary but not overly sweet, somewhat indulgent. I will definitely be getting a bottle of this soon.

If there were a My Little Pony named Rosie Shortcake, with a scratch-and-sniff cutie stamp, the cutie stamp would smell like this. I can't explain why that's a good thing, but it is. It's delightful. It's playful and unexpected. It’s rose and strawberry shortcake, yet somehow still all rose.

I owned the first version of Rose Jam. Regret that I didn’t stock it 🥺 it’s super sweet but you can’t get enough of it. It’s surgery jam w a more citrusy Turkish rose note. If you love lush products , you know the smell is very unique and other brands could never beat it!

stunning opening and settle down, usually not a fan of geranium notes but the base in this adds such a beautiful rich dry down. Would recommend testing on skin first!! Lush scents are made with essential oils so each fragrance will adapt differently to skin chemistry.

What a powerhouse of a fragrance. It is EXTREMELY sweet but in a deep rich way and performance incredibly well. I can smell myself all day with this on and I just smell like sweets in the best way possible. Rose jam is the perfect name for this perfume.

The opening is a bit much at first, but after about an hour, it dries down so beautifully!!! Rose Jam mixed with the scent of my 1988 AC/DC shirt makes me feel deeply nostalgic for a time in which I wasn't alive. I really love it.

Such a beautiful rose fragrance. It’s jammy, soft and sweet with a hint of lemon and a really pretty gardenia note. This is a sweet rose and not an airy, fresh one. I love it so much, and it lasts and projects really well.

smells exactly like rose marmalade... reminds me of doughnuts from my hometown bakery; they are using the same filling. very lovely and smells delicious when the temperatures fall under zero degrees!

All time favorite of mine, if you like sweet + rose this is for you. I need this again. All of of LUSH’s Rose Jam products are to die for if you like those notes. I love this fragrance so much.

Really good, fun and playful and cool on guys too. As for the other Lush, pretty good drydowns I would say, even though they are quite "direct" at first.

Straight up turkish delight. Sweet and jammy. I like it but not for everyone. I'm interested to see how the body spray compares
