Snowcake 2013

This is for the body spray and not the perfume. I just received my order with this in it and loved it. There was a scent in the background that seemed so nostalgic to me for some reason and was bothering me for hours and I've just thought of what It is. Does anyone remember the cupcake dolls in the 90's? I had one and I used to sit and smell her all the time (not in a weird way🤣) I absolutely loved the smell of it. The dry down of Snowcake reminds me of that smell and I won't lie, it makes my little millennium heart so happy. Almond vanilla happiness in a bottle, so glad I took a chance on it!

This perfume is what started my scent discovery journey and it completely obsessed me for a while. It’s the core of benzoin I think, which is my favourite note, plus the marzipan with a zing from the cassis and rose to stop it from being cloying. Perfect combination. Please Lush 🙏 make the soap and perfume staples!

I recieved this for Christmas. An instant favourite for me... Quite soft sillage but long lasting on me at least. Can still smell it after 7 hours or so :) I personally just get marzipan and almond, I don't notice the floral notes but suits me as it's such a delicious scent. I only wish it wasn't limited edition.

Well.... it smells very simply like an almond bar soap. Just like the almond fragrance used in so many almond scented hand soaps and bath and body products. It does not smell foodie - which is what I actually expected. It is creamy and soft, and just a teensy bit floral. Very very mildly sweet. If you're interested in smelling like those pretty homemade almond soaps commonly found at your local farmer's market - then by all means give this one a try. I'm pretty sad they didn't offer it in a sample like most of the other fragrances on the website. I probably won't use this very often - but I will use it when I want to smell softly almondy clean. Or perhaps I'll use it to scent some drawer sachets. It's that kind of scent. It is pretty, but very one dimensional. But again, if you love an almond bar soap you'll probably like it. --- I've tried layering it with Molinard Vanille to amp up the sweetness, and that makes it more of what I expected it to be in the first place. I just thought it would be a richer gourmand smell. It's pretty shy and a little thin, but it does last.

An interesting scent. A bit gourmand, a bit floral, and alot resin-y (guess that's the benzoin?). I like this sweet scent, even though it gives me a bit of a headache. The soap is very nice, too. It lasts and is pretty strong on my dry skin. Edit: Ooooh my, is this strong and long-lasting! Gives me a bit of a headache if I over-apply or get too close to my face with it. Very powdery gourmand!

Loveley perfume, stays close to the skin, what is kind of weird for something from Lush. The scent is not exactly sweet, it's a more dry almond, even a little soapy probably because of the rose combo. Like it a lot, this is a keeper.

In short: this smells like a sweaty cookie. As in rancid bakery goods. So wrong with my skin chemistry in every way, yuck. I cannot pick up any florals in this, its super cloying and flat marzipan on me. I am quite fond of many LUSH creations, but not this one. Wash it away, pronto. Yuck. Never with baked goods as Jim’s dad says.

This perfume smells so much like nitrous oxide that LUSH ought to leave a disclaimer: “This perfume will not cause feelings of euphoria or bouts of uncontrollable giggling. However, people might think you're a surgeon.”

The ONLY fragrance I’ve ever returned for a refund. Like expired almond cookies. Just horrendous...

I keep coming back to this scent, thinking it’ll be different somehow. And I regret wearing it every time. I understand this has a cult following of sorts, but I don’t get why. Yes, there’s a faint marzipan deliciousness, but it’s choked out by a weird fruity rubber smell. It’s honestly nauseating and cloying. There’s a hint of cinnamon-like spice that would be a lovely compliment to the almond cookie aspect, but it’s just all overpowered by the cassis note. It gives the overall impression of cheap, noxious, oily plastic. To the reviewer before me, try Orgasmo by Hilde Soliani- that is the most edible almond scent that resembles cookies in my opinion.

Ugh. No. I hurked in my mouth. My cat ran from the room with his ears back. An explosion of rotting bananas and decomposing rubber bath toys that settles to moldy marzipan after five wretched hours. (I was so astonished at how vile it was, I had to see how it played out, the way one sits through a bad movie.) The guy came home and said, “Huh. Not bad,” and now I’m questioning all my relationship assumptions.

If you hate black currant/cassis like I do, avoid this perfume. I finally found a sample and was expecting a marzipan/almond cloud, and I only smell cassis and rose. I've tried it several times and it remains terrible on me. My nose searches for the marzipan but it's just not there on me. This is not a safe blind buy IMO.

I went to a LUSH store in NYC today to inquire about the new limited edition scents for the holidays, including this one. I was first told that there were no limited edition holiday fragrances,, so I threw out a few names: Snowcake, Snowfairy, whatever, to see if they rang any bells. I was then told by three separate employees that Snowcake is "not available as a fragrance" and that it only comes in the form of a lotion, shower gel, etc. I told them they had it wrong, and that if anything it was an online exclusive, which after much exasperated deliberation, they confirmed, but then qualified by saying that it might be sold out. Get it together Lush. Your products aren't good enough to endure such wishy-washy customer service. In fact, no one's are.

With a name like snowcake I was guessing something gourmandy, maybe chocolate, coconut, , izing/frosting. Well you won't find that here. They held back the gourmand and took it in a cleaner direction. It's almond soap with a 'chewy' quality, Probably the marzipan. It's a bit oily on skin, so I don't recommend spraying on clothes

I'm a fan of the snow cake soap and was excited to get this perfume.it smell exactly like the soap but has a more Resiness smell to it and is by far the weakest fragrance in my collection.it doest last for more than 30 mins and it disappears completely even on clothes.its a shame as its really nice but doesn't last at all.
