Sticky Dates

dude, for the price this is sold at, i use this BODYSPRAY as a baseline for legit all my perfumes. If a perfume does not at LEAST perform like sticky dates -- I'm not buying it. I had this experience with Kayali's Maui in a Bottle Sweet Banana, where i loved the scent but only lasted if I layered with Sticky Dates... (but then after like an hour, it simply wore off and I only smelt Sticky Dates) My skin is REALLY picky when it comes to fragrances, and it wont matter whether it has good longevity or projection, my skin will either love it or hate it. Mostly fragrances do not last on me, however I am lucky to say ts will last up to 5 hours on skin, and then some on clothes. I think the smell doesn't come off too sweet, maybe because for some reason even if a vanilla note is very insignificant in a certain fragrance, my skin will BRING IT OUTTTT so for sticky dates it starts very syrupy, but slowly dries down to a soft chocolatey and vanilla smell, which from my experience of eating dates during eid and in general; very accurate. I love to pair this with vanilla lotions if I have the time and whenever I wear this i do get compliments (albeit when they are close) TLDR; very strong for a body spray, and my typical go-to, so if you're a baddie on a budget, this one might be for you if you lean towards sweeter perfumes

I was given a sample of the Sticky Dates lotion at a Lush store one day, and I loved the way it smelled so much I bought the body spray a few days later. It is absolutely delicious, and probably my favorite Lush scent. It might even be my favorite gourmand scent in general. To me, it smells purely like melted, sticky, gooey, caramelized dates. It's also a little creamy, with a hint of vanilla. It is super sweet, but dates do have the highest sugar content of any fruit, so it is to be expected. I grew up eating a lot of them so the scent is almost nostalgic to me. I honestly think this spray smells better than the actual fruit does. However, it should be treated like an EDP, not a body spray. I would recommend just using it after showering, or right before leaving the house. It's not meant to be carried around and reapplied all day. It's quite overpowering, and it does not stick as well nor smell as good when done this way, in my opinion. On a side note, I feel like you could get away with wearing this in the summer, as long as it's not oversprayed. I generally only apply one or two sprays of this, but, even then, I've gotten lots of compliments on it, perhaps more than any other scent I own. I just love this scent so, so much.

This truly is the most powerful body spray I have ever encountered. I've had mine since the community release with the brown label - maybe 2023? - and it's still insane. The projection on this one is enormous and it lasts for days and days on clothes, I easily get a full 12-15 hours out of it on skin alone with no lotion to help it stick. It's like burnt brown sugar (in the best way possible) with the most luxurious vanilla extract and thick gooey caramel. I don't love the lotion so much, on me it pulls more fruity, but the body spray and body wash are absolutely worth every bit of hype they get. I love this in autumn and winter, though I do find it's good in the summer as long as you don't go too crazy with it. I find this layers particularly well with coconutty scents - Kayali Utopia Vanilla Coco is excellent with it as is Le Monde Gourmand Lait de Coco. I also like it with Cheirosa 71 or layered with Vanilla 28 to amp up the vanilla even more, but it's honestly not necessary to layer this one if you don't want to given its comically nuclear performance. 10/10, I think this will be a repurchase forever.

I chose this fragrance to start my year. I believe it's a pretty festive scent. Very cozy (although it's summer here and it's burning hot). When I first tried SD, I wasn't sure if I liked her. She's bold, dense and quite weird. I left the store and as the day went by I found myself sniffing the paper strip all the time. It hooked me. Of course I ended buying a full bottle of this body mist. Smells like caramel. You can faintly smell something else but it's 99% caramel. Extremely sugary and thick... also try ts before purchasing. She's polarizing. I personally loooove this. It layers well with other gourmands too for an extra kick. The longevity is not that good (I mean... it's a body mist) but it project A LOT she's loud af. I will emphasize TRY THIS SH FIRST! this brand is not blind buy safe and sticky dates it's v polarizing EVEN if you're a gourmand lover.

i made an account JUST to review this because holy moly this shit smells amazing. i had bought sol de janeiro cheirosa 71 and was disappointed- sticky dates is like a way better version. it doesn't have the weird salty piss smell (i think it was supposed to smell like popcorn) that cheirosa 71 had on me, it's much sweeter, yummier, non-headache inducing and i think more feminine, dare i say cuter and sexier. it also smells good on a hot day, which i found that cheirosa 71 didn't. not trying to be a hater because the 71 smells good in the bottle but just not on me, so if you wanted to love it but couldn't and are looking for similar flavours i recommend trying sticky dates instead!! u can finally smell like the pancakes and toffee and heaven of your dreams :P i want to eat myself lowkey expensive for such a small bottle though and the design is kinda quirky

despite how popular sticky dates is i dont think ive ever smelled something like this before on anyone or anywhere. i went to my local lush to smell it and it was love at first smell. i have never eaten / smelt a date before but sticky dates to me smelt like a strong coffee with caramel syrup, then it progresses to a buttery toffee popcorn and the drys down to warm, creamy vanilla - with a perfect amount of sweetness to me. but when i bought a new bottle it was way more sweeter (almost sickly sweet if i spray more than once) maybe after a few months the sweetness will mellow out. people around me who smell it on me describe it as “vanillary”. i bought this in the summer time but i think it would be more enjoyable in colder weather. although its a body spray it lasts so long and smells so strong even after 6 hours! im excited to buy more scents from lush.

when i had first smelled it, it was very molasses-y and a bit overwhelming. i ended up leaving the store buying something else not perfume related instead but as i was driving home, i kept smelling this complex, warm scent and it was this body mist ! the next time i went to lush i got a bottle of it bc i finally understood the hype. i just had to give her a chance to settle !! i can’t wait to use her more in the winter but im enjoying using her right now in this weird fall/summer weather. i think due to its unique scent its giving me the same vibes of lolitaland by lolita.. the folks that get it get it and the ones that don’t don’t! it’s all about preference <3

i am a huge fan of caramel toffee cookie scents, basically anything that smells sweet hahah. before it was even popular, i tried sticky dates in a store like 3-4 years ago and i hated it. however my perception of the smell changed during the years and i decided to try it again recently and i absolutely love it. it smells very warm and caramelish on skin which i love. i think plenty of lush sprays/perfumes have a specific smell unlike many designer perfumes which i feel like are made to appeal to majority of people so you either love or hate them. i dont think it's a safe blind buy, but personally i love it.

I thought I was a Sticky Dates hater after having smelled it once in the store. It was overwhelming and sickeningly sweet. And then, my partner bought me a bottle, and I am in love. Yes, this is extremely strong in the opening, but once you give it a chance to sit, it is insanely delicious. I usually am nauseated by gourmands but this is so perfectly done. I always spray this on my skin and it makes me smell like I am naturally exuding caramel. This is also the most longlasting body mist I've ever tried, and easily outperforms many of my EDPs. I am seriously obsessed with this scent right now.

When I first tried this scent out I completely hated it. I thought it smelled like a cigarette smoker that tried to hide the scent of cigarette by spraying warm vanilla by bath and bodyworks all over themselves. HOWEVER,,,,As I walked around the mall, I kept wanting to smell my sticky date stench on my clothes. I was captivated. I even got pulled aside by a girly to ask what I was wearing! Of course I ended up buying it...Online. I was too ashamed of stepping back into Lush at the time after my distasteful outburst of complaints I spewed to the entire store about the scent.

Buy this if you want to smell like a delicious caramel drizzled cookie for life. This scent lasts ALL DAY AND NIGHT, if you fall asleep before showering guess what? It’s still going to be lingering onto you lol. 40 for a body spray... questionable, but when you purchase you will truly understand. Lasts better than 98% of my perfumes. Perfect for a cozy day/night in winter and fall, love it! BUT truly only for gourmand girlies, if you dont love smelling like sweet baked goods it WILL be nauseating. DONT WEAR IN SUMMER WAY TOO WARM SMELLING

I took a chance on the body scrub in the late summer and loved it, but wished the scent was stronger and lasted; I'm glad that I bought the actual body spray, as it's completely exceeded my expectations. I was a bit nervous given that sometimes certain smells don't translate well if they're going from lotion to perfume to body scrub, etc, but it smells just like the body scrub! This is truly a lovely scent, just like a rich dessert, a caramel flan or a caramelized sweetened condensed milk can. Now it just needs some gold shimmer ⋆. ̊⋆+ ⊹

One of the longest lasting perfumes I've ever experienced. Up there with Prin and Zoologist. I sampled this at the store and 12 hours later it was still quite noticeable. It smells as accurate as a perfume can realistically get. This is not for a midday summer roam outside. It would get even stronger and you'd choke yourself out. This is ideal for anytime in autumn and winter OR nighttime in spring and summer. This is a body spray. You only need to spray once or you've become a war crime.

Was truly disgusted by this when I sprayed some on my wrist in the shop but a year later after trying the sticky date dusting powder and becoming obsessed with it I gave it another go and now it's one of my faves. I spray it in the air and walk into it so it's not too overpowering. Definitely really rich and sweet, probably not for hot weather for most people but luckily my workmate also loves it so I wear it whenever 🖤

This is so sweet and delicious, love gourmand from Lush, in my bottle the sandalwood is very noticeable and drowns out the sickening sweetness. But nothing can beat the longevity of "Let the good times roll" which lasts forever. But the longevity of Sticky dates is incredible too. I love them both, they are similar but not the same. Sticky dates is much sharper and boozy, coffee with rum liqueur, and LTGTR is softer.

Love!! This scent is for sure polarizing so I wouldn't do a blind buy- you either love it or hate it. It smells super sweet but not artificial or plasticky. For people who want to smell like an actual bakery, NOT for people who aren't heavy into gourmands. I need an EDP of this ASAP!!! pls lush... However I will say this spray performs just as well or better as many EDPs i do have so maybe that isn't necessary lol

this body spray is one of my favorites. it is super strong and smells very yummy,the notes are accurate and its sweet as fuck. smells like unicorns and rainbows!!!!!! perfect if you love gourmand scents plus it lasts a long time. one or two pumps from this and im literally nose blinded it is highkey rlly strong. its perf for winter and fall,but im going to use it this summer too bc its so good i wanna drink it.

This is one of the best gourmand body mists on the market. The scent is incredibly sweet and delectable, with decadent caramel and a hidden liquor note that makes it stand out. The performance is truly EDP tier, sooo much better than any VS or BBW spray out there. If you wanna smell like a sexy dessert, if you want to make people wanna take a bite out of you... go get yourself a Sticky Dates body mist!

This is a scent that truly earned being viral . It is a gorgeous gourmand that the majority will love ( I got told I smell like Christmas :p) But beware you only need one spray of this or else its quite potent and potentially headache inducing to yourself and others . This last so long on skin , I'm surprised that a body spray can even last 6hrs on skin. One of my favourite autumn / winter scents <3

When I tried this at the store I bought it immediately. Smells like rich date caramel with a slightly salty & creamy finish. I can also recommend the sticky date body wash because its just as lovely as the mist. If you’re someone who loves sweet and heavy scents- this is absolutely perfect! But if you like more delicate, less bold or overwhelming fragrances- this definitely isn’t for you.

Looooove sticky dates! The first spray is very very very strong but it dries down beautifully. Lasts ages on my clothes. Bought it about a month ago now, so I’ve only had it during colder weather. I think it’s an all year round scent tho! It’s $50 AUD for 200ml which I thought was a little expensive at first but now I think it’s good value for money bc of how long it lasts

Very surprised a body spray has this much power, I purchased it yesterday and sprayed it in my car 5x sprays almost choked myself out had to open all the windows.. today it still smells strong. To my nose it’s very chocolatey sweet, neither feminine nor masculine so it’s suitable for anybody that wants something sweet and strong that will probably get a lot of compliments

Sticky Dates is definitely for those who like overly sweet fragrances. It has this rich, warm scent that reminds me of maple syrup. I love gourmand scents, but this one was a bit too much for me on its own. It’s quite intense, so you only need 1–2 sprays. It leaves a nice scent trail. I like to layer it lightly with other gourmand fragrances for a unique twist.

Backup bottle worthy! I got one... sprayed myself wearing my white bathrobe and it was immediatley stained but it smells SO GOOOOD that I don’t care... went ahead and ordered 3 more bottles! This is for gourmand lovers... if you don’t like sweet perfumes why would you try something that is literally named “sticky dates” then complain that its too sweet?

VERY sweet, almost sickeningly sweet. For me, it perfectly captures the taste (and vibe) of Medjool dates. And unlike Sol de Janeiro 71, it doesn’t have that weird after-smell of pee or sweat. This mist LASTS. You’ll smell it for 48 hours. Your clothes will smell for DAYS. Your apartment, your hair, your very soul will smell like it. There is no escape.

I will never not want to smell edible. So I saw the picture and I was sold. I'm so glad I blind bought this. Its scent combines predominant caramel notes with very realistic dates. It's creamy, nutty and sweet -a well rounded gourmand. Whenever I want to buy something pricy, I tell my husband it's "therapy" or "a work of art". This fragance is both.

As soon as I sprayed it for the first time, I got why this one is controversial. I love gourmands, and to me this smells like the most delicious caramel with a pinch of spice. I wouldn’t wear it during the day or in warm weather, as that could feel suffocating. Projection and longevity are amazing, I could smell it on my sweater after washing.

I was expecting it to be fruity judging by the name but once I sprayed the tester I fell in love immediately. This would be an amazing scent to pair with coconut conditioner/ hair mist. It also would just pair so well with a vanilla. I love the rich caramel and I was so pleasantly surprised. I WILL be going back for it :)

A thick, dense scent with that rich raisin-and-date sweetness — definitely one for the true gourmand lovers. It lasts really well, though perhaps not quite as long as Let the Good Times Roll by Lush. I’ve tried several dupes of Sticky Dates and nothing even comes close. This will be a forever favourite for me.

Sticky Dates is an unapologetically straight caramel icecream. It lasts surprisingly well for a body spray and layers beautifully with vanilla, milk fragrances. If you love smelling like caramel icecream, Sticky Dates is hard to beat. The one I have has been sitting since 2023, it is so strong and yum.

I have the water based shimmer spray, the smell does last but it sits intimately so it's more of a personal fragrance...sticky dates is extremely sweet so the water based version is helpful for cutting back the intensity. I would recommend the regular body spray for more sillage and a stronger smell

everyone asks me every single day, yes, every day, which perfume I use. everywhere i go, in the supermarket, at school, and so on. i have never worn another perfume that received so many compliments and created such a sensation. it’s truly an attention lover perfume <3 thank u lush

Smells like photorealistic caramel dusted with cinnamon on top 😋 I love that slight spiciness, makes it feel kinda more organic/natural, lasts really long as well, 2 sprays lasted me 6 hours. It’s marketed as a body spray but has the longevity of a perfume. Perfect for autumn 🍂

I agree that the opening is very strong, burnt coffee and biter/salty caramel.. But when it settles in it is the most divine, sweet, and powdery scent of coconutty sugar and hints of vanilla.. If you like sweet gourmand scents and longevity, this lasts forever on clothes..

A tantalizing warm caramel gourmand that I would eat if I could. I personally own the body wash, solid perfume, and body spray and they are all great products. Very long lasting and perfect for fall or winter. Probably Lush's most competent release, I really enjoy it.

Es igual al caramelo Toffee. Muy rico y empalagoso, comestible. Me encanta lo gourmand. Sólo que es algo más bien lineal, entonces si buscas algo que evolucione, no habrá necesariamente algo profundo. Pero no significa que sea aburrido. A mí me gusta mucho!

Sugary sweet caramel vanilla ! As a lover of sweet gourmand scents I love this so much !!! I definitely wouldn't recommend it to someone who doesn't like very sweet scents , as it is slightly cloying but I personally like it very much . Don't blind buy !

Sprayed once on my wrist and once on my hair and people around me can still smell it 10 hours later. This is definitely to be sprayed sparingly or you’ll suffocate. Gorgeously gourmand and sweet, with the benzoin adding depth and complexity.

My friend is using this and I absolutely loved it. I can't control myself smelling this, it is so addicting and edible. I love gourmand perfumes and this smells soo delicious. Also the projection is also good , room filler scent.

So warm and cozy... I smelled it at the mall and bought it expeditiously. It lasts all day on me and a little goes a long way! I don't get why it's called sticky dates when there's no date note, but I won't sweat it.

100% gourmand and 100% amazing. On me this smells like salty caramel, maple pecan pastries and vanilla and I love it. Maybe I'm crazy but I don't find this that sweet. It's sweet but not overwhelming at all.

In the beginning it's heavy but after a few minutes I get some kind of fresh note. Its gourmand, thick date syrup and also a bit fresh and airy vanilla. Like a vanilla cloud. Very well blended and yummy 😋👌

I blind bought this a few months ago because I love gourmand scents and it did not disappoint! I had to go back to order the bigger bottle. Very sweet and can be layered with so many other sprays.

Intense date syrup bomb opening but the dry down is immaculate. A little goes a long way, especially when using the bath and body products in this scent.

This is cozy winter vanilla done right. If you want to smell like a scrumptious cup-cake cookie dough this is it. And it’s not even sickening.
