Turmeric Latte

Smells like a smoky, yet creamy, semi-sweet turmeric chai latte. Some say it leans towards a savory moment, and I can see that, but it never veers into full on savory moment and retains a slightly sweet and spicy undertone. I like the lactonic, creaminess underneath and it lends a sort of comforting, safe base for this scent. There is a coziness and Bookstore/coffee shop vibe I get here, something you would wear under a sweater, with laptop in hand, sitting at a little table alone pretending to be doing something meaningful, but you're really just sitting there to be hip and cool. It lasts quite a long time as a body spray, and would be most suitable for the fall/winter months. Projection is moderate, stronger at first, then dissipating slowly as you wear. I wish it was just a little bit sweeter for me just so that it doesn't get confused with some Eastern cuisine, but rather a warm, spicy drink infused with more sugar cubes. Those comparing to Tobacco Vanille, I would not say are wrong by any means, but this wins over Tom Ford's TV as it's more wearable for me. I'm not the hugest fan of TV, so I'm already partial going into that argument.

I love this fragrance! I owned it years ago, but I’m still obsessed. This smells like a spicy, creamy, chai tea latte with oat milk. I don’t smell the gardenia, like at all tbh. I love how this scent isn’t overbearing. This scent is the epitome of fall. A crisp, mild autumn. Oversized knit sweaters, warm chai tea, doc martens, and walking through campus while you’re stepping on crunchy leaves. This scent will transport you to a moment in time, a time where you’ve experienced your best autumn. It’ll remind you of fall memories, a coffee shop, studying, or Halloween. I can’t describe how amazing Turmeric Latte is. It’s spicy, but I feel like there’s a slight lactonic note that is somewhere in there, that gives it the most creamy, milky drydown. Perfect balance of creamy and spicy. Lots of chai, vanilla, and benzoin. Cannot recommend this enough.

Review is for the body spray. This is decadent and rich: heavy, spicy, sweet, and a little bean-like from the tonka. This is a deep gourmand amber and makes me want to cozy up in my house with a spicy tea latte. This will probably forever be my winter comfort scent. It is exactly like the Marshmallow Fireside candle from BB&W. It is similar to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, but missing all of the opening notes, like the syrupy honey and the subtle dry tobacco in the distance. Longevity is 12+ hours and sillage is explosive at first then calms down to moderate. At 50 CAD for 200mL this is a steal, so I picked up 3 backups while I could. Notes according to my nose (in order of prominence): tonka, benzoin, vanilla, no turmeric to be found

Okay so I bought the solid perfume version because, well, its the same line and no review in a long time!( I got the last one in the store, big flex) and BABEZ OHHH First if all, yes it’s kinda smokey, BUT IN SUCHA COMFORTING SWEET WAY! When I smell myself I’m edible, fall and cute! It’s not your usual lush sweet but really lowkey and still mouthwatering! I’m not the best at describing but it feels really warm cozy snuggly (I know i’m giving like 67 different descriptions, but I hope you get the gist :)) Anyway definitely buy it! Super duper yummie ☺️

What? This is a lush perfume??? Smells more like an expensive niche one and I'm quite of a snob when it comes to perfumes... I tried it in the back of my hand not thinking much of it then after a while I was having wafts of this wonderful smell when I realised it was Turmeric latte I knew I had to buy it straight away, this is spicy and dries leaving a slightly sweet enveloping scent, just stunning!!

So sexy, smoky, rich without feeling dated or old. The Tumeric Latte moniker is misleading, but you do catch a bit of the warmness of it - but it's not creamy or milky, it's lovely tonka and spice. I feel like a beautiful and mysterious woman in this. Definitely a cooler month pick, or nighttime perfume in summer.

I own both the body spray and the EDP. I like the EDP better, on myself it smells like nag champa and it's comforting. However the spray does have more depth and it's a nice change from the EDP when I'm in the mood for something less linear. If you're looking for a nag champa scent, I cannot recommend it enough.

I love that this has a sort of Boozy scent to it. It actually strongly resembles Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille so maybe a good £30 dupe there. I’ve always maintained that Lush body sprays walk all over all high end perfumes performance (and scent) wise.

I tried it a while ago in store, it was winter time in Canada, I fell in love, and now I can't find it anywhere. Should I bought it on the spot. I remember it as sweet and cosy and comforting and very addictive.

This is an amazing scent impossible to buy now :( . I find Bean by andfragrance pretty similar, less spicy though but if you miss Turmeric Latter give it a try.

This smells like speculaas seasoning (nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, vanilla). Sweet and spicy.

This is actually really good. Especially if you like gourmands, vanilla, a little spice, and coffee/latte like scents. This is spicy turmeric(which has a cinnamon like vibe but stronger and a tad spicer), on a bed of creamy smoked vanilla, and some tonka for grounding and adds a more latte feeling to the note combination. Even though there is NO "latte" or "coffee" note...you DEF get the vibe without even having to think about it. This is spicy, creamy, slightly sharp, and something slightly "edgy" in the background and i can't even attempt to explain this "edgy note" it's almost dirty ..but that not the word either...b/c it's barely even noticable. It does add a little character tho & tames some of the spicy & sweetness. I actually really enjoy this and it's 100% worth getting your nose on. I have a rather large collection and have smelt 100 more not in my collection, and I've never smelt anything quite like this. Def a winter/cool fall, by the fire, in a cozy cabin, or at your local, hippy, good vibes, coffee shop. Maybe off in the corner where you no longer pick up the brewing espresso, reading a good book, while wearing a fluffy white sweater, and a white toboggan, sipping your turmeric latte, all while wearing a creamy vanilla fragrance. Def test this it won't be for everyone...BUT you LOVEEE gourmand scents...even realistic gourmands...you have a great chance of LOVING THIS! Def niche vibes. 8/10 imo.

Review for the edp: It smells like fire! Not like smoke or incense, but literally like something's on fire. Then with added vanilla, benzoin and gourmand notes, a pinch of tonka. If you've ever smelled burning benzoin, this perfume comes close to the real thing. It's dense and really cozy and a lovely scent for wintertime coziness, but I would wear it out with caution. Recommended for situations when a fireplace would be appropriate, but not in places where you wouldn't expect a fire. Not really safe for daytime and definitely not safe for the office. I've had people wondering if something is burning when I've wore it. Something about it is addictive!

I'm reviewing the EDP. This is smoky, spicy, and resinous. The benzoin is prominent on my skin, and smells dark and sticky. The first spray is really quite powerful but after a while you are left with something really smooth. I don't usually like to limit perfume to certain seasons, but this is certainly for cold winters. Longevity is good, 6 hours at least, if not more. I went swimming wearing this and it was still strong on my skin afterward.

A thick, wintery gourmandy scent with an odd, tar like note on the base. It does smell a bit like a turmeric latte. Definitely winter time only. Gardenia, which I am generally very fond of, is listed as one of the notes but none is coming through for me, everything is swamped by the thick base notes of benzoin tonka and vanilla, and that odd burned tar smell that persists. I don’t hate it but its a meh, there are so many better ones out there, like the Cardamom Coffee for example. What I like about Lush is, however, that they are not afraid to try out new things and put strange concoctions on the market, thumbs up for that. And this one may well be someone else’s cup of tea, I mean turmeric latte..yes yes dad joke. This is for the edp not the body spray.

Nah. I was so excited for this. On paper, it should have hit all my favourite notes . I don't know what it is that specifically made me dislike it, but overall it came across too cloying. I didn't get much of the warm vanilla, just something sharp and almost... acrid smoke? I suppose that might be the turmeric? I waited the entire day for the sharpness to fade, but it didn't. It just stayed stingy and bitter.

Utterly vile. Stale sweat and milky pudding that someone put too much cardamom in.

I sniffed this lovely cream gourmand in the UK York Lush store and was immediately taken with it. Apparently Limited edition but its been in production since 2019?! A luscious, gently spicy, high calorie and so decadent, softly sweet latte fragrance. If you love gourmands or cosy scents then worth a sniff. I guess unisex. A comfort scent. Delicious. Not that spicy. I did wonder considering its name. Good longevity and average sillage.

This is amaaaazing, and I agree with previous posts- similar to Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille. My husband wears Tobacco Vanille- and I might even like this better on him. I don't yet know because I'm keeping it for myself right now! If you like this and you are looking for an amazing value in a similar vein, check out Anthropologie's Pharmacy Vanilla Dore. It's also beautiful- but more of a poor-man's version of MFK Bacarat Rouge, IMO.

I have tried both the body spray and the EdP. They are both lovely, sweet and resinous and don’t smell at all of tobacco. The body spray is lighter and more like the smell of an actual spicy latte drink, whilst the perfume is much more resinous, with a slightly boozy vanilla and is less sweet. Both a great for cold days and I think the perfume could be worn by men and women. The perfume longevity is great and sillage is moderate.

It's back for the holidays and this makes me happy. A lovely and warm gourmand with a surprising twist...it must be the turmeric that adds that something extra. I bought a bottle blind last holiday season and was hoping for the return. Has nice sillage and longevity. I layer it with a vanilla lotion and it smells so good. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy gourmand scents. What a gem. 9/10 overall.

This is Lush' version of Tobacco Vanille. They are extremely similar. Creamy, non-sweet vanilla with tobacco and spices, mostly cinnamon. I also smell some honey. It smells soooo good! Why did they discontinue this?
