Twilight

Recently, I've been really curious about Lush fragrances. They have something special - something that I can't quite put my finger on. Unfortunately, there are no Lush shops in my country, so I have to blind-buy them. So yeah, Twilight was a blind-buy for me. After falling in love with Mon Guerlain, I wanted to test other warm-vanilla-lavender scents. I bought the body-spray version from Lush Bulgaria and wow! This has better projection and longevity than your typical body-spray. It is closer to an EDT on my skin. After spraying it on for the first time, I am hit with lavender - sooo much lavender! Potent and fragile at the same time, the lavender in Twilight reminds me of the ladies that sell lavender bouquets on crowded streets in the middle of summer. It is a natural lavender scent, with no artificial undertones. Depending on your mood, it could be either calming or invigorating. After a while, the herbal lavender calms down a bit. The tonka bean and benzoin notes show up, rounding the composition beautifully. The resulting scent feels timeless, classic, feminine, masculine - all at the same time. There are no vanilla undertones. The drydown is a slightly spicy lavender, coated in a sweet powder. It doesn't really smell like Mon Guerlain, but I believe that most people who enjoyed Mon Guerlain would be delighted by Twilight. Twilight is bolder and more chaotic, but beautiful nonetheless. If Mon Guerlain is a vase full of lavender on your table, Twilight is a wild field of lavender. When I close my eyes, I can imagine myself wearing this scent while taking a walk in the countryside at the beginning of spring, when the sun is about to set. I am wearing a sweater and the last sunrays of the day are wrapping me in their soft embrace, preparing me for the patiently-awaiting night. Twilight is a fascinating scent. I could understand why some people might not like it (the lavender could be perceived as too herbal in its first stages), but I believe most people would find beauty in it. A little update: I found that Twilight smells more candy-like when I am out in the winter cold, while the herbal lavender is more prominent indoors. Also, the scent lingers for days on my scarf! Furthermore, I discovered that whenever I spray this on my hair, the resulting scent reminds me of sweat mixed with cheap deodorant. I will make sure to avoid that in the future. I also received mixed reviews from people - and I must mention this is the most attention-grabbing perfume in my closet (these are only for the body spray version): - My roommate: "Smells nice!" and "Mmm, you smell so good, just like sour cherry jam!" - My mom when she smelled this on me: "What is that lovely smell?" - My mom when she tried it on herself: "Horrible, smells like rubbing alcohol." - My aunt: "Mmm, smells so good!" - My boyfriend when he smelled it for the first time: "Yuck, this one's not good." - My boyfriend, a few months after: "Okay, it's nice." - A male co-worker: "This scent is somehow both good and bad." - A female classmate: "What perfume are you wearing? It is very, very strong, but I like it. It reminds me of a sweet perfume that I used to wear!" - The same classmate, a few months later: "I adore your perfume, I could eat you up! And I know what it reminds me of - La Vie Est Belle!" (I tried to mask my horror and thanked her. To be honest, I deeply dislike LVEB - it'a sad fruitchouli, that smells like the most generic and cheap perfume whenever I decide to give it another chance and test it) - Two male friends: The first one - "Hmmm, what smells so good? Wow, I've got to smell you. What is this? [I tell him what perfume I am wearing]. Wow, I can't feel much lavender, but the vanilla hit me!", the second one: "I sense something herbal in it, not much vanilla. Can men wear it too?" Somehow, the mixed reviews I got make me like Twilight even more! Another update: I bought the solid version as well and I must say I love it! It is much softer than the spray version. It doesn't have enormous sillage like the latter, which makes it ideal for spring time. However, the lavender note is a little more tamed, which makes the solid version smell candy-like from start to finish, with just a subtle hint of lavender. The longevity is poor - three hours at best, but I love re-applying it over and over again!

I recently started getting into all natural fragrances as my allergies have been playing up in this hot weather. So the first place I decided to check out was Lush as I'm in love with their bath products, and it's relatively inexpensive fragrances. I bought this fragrance in the body spray today, since they didn't have any EDP, along with the mini shower gel. The notes are absolutely the most relaxing and natural - I'm in lavender heaven! I love that you can spray the bottle not just on skin, but clothing, bedding, and even use as a room spray! Fantastic multitasking product that lives on my nightstand, and I definitely plan on buying a back up bottle asap, along with the full kit - bath bomb, more shower gel, and dusting powder. It smells like floating on lavender and tonka bean clouds... aaah bliss! Update: still obsessed with this so much, I'm making it my signature scent for the first time on here! When I was visiting my mum, she was laughing at me because I couldn't help but spray this constantly on absolutely everything! My bedding, my skin, clothes, and hair, on her, her dogs... haha ok you get it! The body spray bottle is just so easy to go overboard with though as it's extremely fun to use. Still smells like floating on fluffy lavender and tonka clouds, with that benzoin base to prevent it from being just another lavender fragrance. Just wish I could actually buy the EDP too! I'm sorry if any man doesn't like this, because my bed reaks of it lol. One of the few scents that actually calms my mind, and helps with my insomnia, which is an actual godsend <3

Bought this for the first time way back (2011/2012?), when it came out as a Forum Special at Christmas time, when the bottles were black and cone shaped. I ordered it along with the Silky Underwear perfume (another great perfume, but sadly, it never returned as a perfume). I fell in love with Twilight upon first spray. Yes, it is lavender heavy, but not at all the screechy, or old lady lavender you find in lavender colognes and cleaning supplies. It is warm, malty, cozy lavender, perfectly supported by tonka and benzoin to give it its warmth. Sillage with the body spray is amazing. I have had people tell me that they know it 's me, because they can smell my 'perfume' before I even enter the room. I use two spritzes and I can still smell it at the end of the day. I don't find it masculine at all, but would not complain if any man around me would be wearing it. I will probably repurchase forever. I've had R.E.M. for a couple of months and in my opinion, they are not dupes but very very similar. I find the sweetened lavender similar, though R.E.M. is much much weaker, and of course, synthetic and unfortunately, lasting only a few hours.

Well, Twilight was one of the forum special perfumes available this year. I've been wanting it for ages, so, I got one. I'll start off by saying the bottle is horrible. It's not the same one in the pictures, it's their generic large black bottle. I don't really care about how it looks, but it's hard to remove/put on the cap, and I can't shake the feeling that it ends up pressing down on the sprayer when I close it and wasting some of the perfume every time. Bad design! Anyway, Twilight itself, well. Twilight is what it is. It doesn't change on my skin, it won't change on yours, either. It's strong, malted lavender. Candy-like and very very dreamy, really relaxing. I want to say it smells like a good night's sleep. It also smells kind of powdery to me, but it might just be me associating the smell of the perfume with the bath bomb. It is pretty powerful. Decent projection, decent lasting time. I think it's expensive for what it is (especially since I've been using it as a room spray), but Twilight is really unique. You should try it before you buy it, but I really think you'll love it. I know I do.

I am obsessed! It is lavender but with this great malty sweet candy goodness! In some ways it's a bit like lavender cotton candy! Smells great at night or just before bed. Very yummy! The scent makes you want to eat it. It's very delicious. Probably in my top 5 frags of all time. This is a VERY UNIQUE scent and you will never find something like it. And no, La Vanilia's Lavender Vanilla does NOT smell like this! I don't really agree with the notes listed at the top of the page. I just see this as a "gourmand" lavender, and not something "herbal" or "floral", or "spicy". Yes, lavender is a flower, but this perfume is not floral in the traditional sense. I hate floral perfumes but this is in a category all its own! EDIT: I got a second bottle. It's amazing. I put it on last night and I slept so well. I could still smell it in the morning!

Twilight I'm usually repulsed by lavender, i associate it with the smell of cheap cleaning products or those synthetic soaps that they sell in gift sets for $5.00 during the Christmas period. BUT I absolutely adore Twilight and I have for quite some time, making the transition from the bath bomb, to the shower gel and now to the body spray. On my skin it's a blend of a really beautiful and sweet tonka note, there's a creaminess about it that makes me picture the lavender being sprinkled amongst that creaminess with Ylang Ylang petals to finish it off. The initial blast smells like i've dropped a bottle of lavender essential oil on my skin but that immediately subsides and opens up to a sweet and dream-like fragrance. I like to spray it on my pillow and all over just before I go to sleep, it's the perfect way to finish off a long day.

Lush's Twilight is easily one of the best lavender fragrances you can find, if you ask me. It's a lavender with a little extra kick of something special. The notes blended together create a sweet lavender that smells very comforting, warm, and cozy. The tonka bean and the benzoin give it a vanilla/sweet quality, and the ylang ylang gives it a little burst of soft floral to prevent the lavender from smelling too clean or too strong. It's all blended SO beautifully. If you dislike lavender, I would still recommend giving Twilight a chance. This fragrance has been a favorite of mine this winter, which is my preferred season to wear this. I originally never thought that you could make lavender smell warm, but here comes Lush to prove me wrong!

I have been obsessed with this lately! It is a beautiful lavender-vanilla that truly does make me feel ready to go to sleep our just lounge around in my pajamas on a Saturday morning. This is my favorite Lush perfume so far besides Rose Jam. Many Lush scents tend to be too herbal and sharp for me or are so strong that I can only apply them with the lightest touch, but this one actually sits close to my skin. I may even consider investing in the full kit (bath bomb, shower gel, dusting powder) to layer.

I bought it in the body spray form, currently available in the Lush shops here in Italy. This is surplisingly longlasting for a body spray! Obviously this is mostly lavender, but more like a lavender flavoured biscuit! It's very vanillic and powdery, and it lingers for hours, giving a very relaxing feeling. I also took the Twilight massage bar, and I can't wait to try it!

WOW, Im in love with the bath bomb and I can't believe just how much it smells exactly like it! When I recieved it I immediatly spray it on myself.. and yup! I have fallen even more in love with this amazing and comforting scent! Gotta love LUSH and the great perfumes they make!!! ;-) EDIT: Okay, I could still smell this when I woke up this morning! Fantastic!!

Love! Love! Love! This was a blind buy online and boy, am I glad to own it. Delicious fresh lavender drowned in sweet smokey resins and it lasts all day. What more could I ask for? This is manna from heaven sent down to earth at the stroke of Twilight ;)!

Beautiful, soft lavender. I kept the empty bottle to sniff longingly, as it was a special Christmas Forum purchase five years ago. Not at all sharp, cozy and relaxing with a hint of sweetness. Love it. Smells very much like the bath bomb.

First blast is a strong herbal lavender on my skin, after 10min it morphs into Lira Xerjoff ! I mean it's very very close, I have Lira so I can compare it, they are twins, anyone smells Lira too ?

This is absolutly great. I just love it. It smells like lavender and malt. My husband thinks it smells like a man, but I don't care. I wear it anyway. It really makes me relaxed.

It's very nice & comfortable scent. Lavender & Ovaltine. Start with LUSH Twilight ballistic in the bath tub & apply only a spray of this perfume before going to bed, it will make you have so soft-skin, nice scent, lovely & make you have sweet dream.

how on earth can i get this? i love it so much that i want it in perfume, but it doesn't exist. does anyone know how i can get it?

Identical to Lush's bath bomb by the same name. Lovely, lavendery, malty-ness. Great one for stressfull days.

The notes in Twilight are basic - Lavender, Ylang Ylang & Tonka Bean. These 3 simple notes go so well together & create a very luxurious scent. The Twilight bath ballistic has a lovely malty quality & I wondered if the translation from bath product to perfume would work? At first spray, you get a strong waft of Lavender. It smells so distant from the Twilight bath ballistic I immediately thought that it was going to be a fail. Good try Lush. Not long after however, the Ylang Ylang comes through & soon after the Tonka Bean. The Lavender steps back & it turns into the creamy Twilight I know & love. Phew! You don't have to be a big lavender or ylang ylang fan to love this. They are both more supporting scents rather than standout florals. Twilight is very very comforting. I find myself smelling my wrists throughout the day. Lasting power is great. One spray on each arm remains for 12+ hours, after which it's still there - but lies close to the skin. I'm very happy to say that the transition from bath ballistic to perfume was successful! I'm ecstatic that it's just like the bath ballistic. Twilight is a great perfume & it lasts longer than some of my more expensive perfumes. At $50US for 30ml it's not the cheapest fragrance, however I feel that it's worth it. So, my advice is - if you love the Twilight Bath Ballistic, don't even think about it - buy this NOW! You won't regret it!

Twilight starts off with lavender- it's all herbal and sweet with subtle earthy notes (possibly patchouly) and something tart, maybe berries? I don't know what it is but there's something in this opening that reminds me of Angel. But pretty soon lavender and herbs disappear and I'm left with this deliciously sweet malty drydown with prominent notes of ylang ylang (which I love) and most comforting dark vanilla. This is the best part! I recently tested Candy by Prada, and couldn't for the life of me remember what it reminded me of, but there was a strong memory trigger. But after revisiting Twiligt it dawned on me: they share the same comforting malty/vanilla drydown and that powdery snuggliness. I retested Candy just to make sure- now there could definitely be something wrong with my nose, but it's there. Twilight is like a more natural, down-to-earth version of Candy with a lavender kick. It's not as 'stuffy' or perfumy. I really like it- it's perfect when I crave something comforting and sweet, but still interesting.

I got my spritzer bottle of Lush's Twilight body spray a few weeks ago and I've been obsessed with it ever since. My favorite fragrance is Lancome's Lavandes Trianon and Twilight is definitely in the same family, LT's younger sister perhaps. She obviously doesn't have the longevity the LT has on skin but she's got the family's good genes! At around $40/bottle, I don't feel at all guilty spraying Twilight to my heart's content all over everything I'm wearing on any given day. It's been riding along in my bag for touch-ups but Twilight actually lasts a decent amount of time on fabric. My co-workers love this so much that I kéep the spray bottle out on my desk for anyone to use. This is truly a feel-good frag!! I'd do crazy things for a bottle of the actual perfume, but I'm so happy with the body spray that I've already ordered a back-up.
