Delice

Years ago, I was gifted a mysterious sample with nothing more than a handwritten label “Delice.” No house/brand, no context, just a name scribbled in ink. The scent stayed with me. It lingered in my memory for years.... The problem? There are countless fragrances named Delice, and I had no way of tracing it back. After what felt like an endless search, I finally found it!! M. Micallef Delice. And instantly, it all came rushing back. This is exactly how I remembered it; a boozy, syrupy sweetness wrapped in a plush vanilla core, elevated by a deep, complex oud that gives it richness and depth. It’s definitely an underrated find... Im soooo happy my bottle is finally on the way.

If you like the DNA of things like Oud Bouquet or Shaghaf Oud but find them a bit too loud or 'screechy,' Délice is a smoother alternative. It’s definitely high quality, but it's not trying to reinvent the wheel. You get a solid mix of spicy nutmeg and orange over a sweet vanilla-oud base. It’s got good performance and lasts all day, but it feels more refined and less 'in your face' than the cheaper clones. Good pick for cold weather if you want that sweet woody vibe without the headache.

I gasped in delight when I first sprayed this perfume. This unisex fragrance is ethereal with cathedral vibes. Classy. It smells like money. A soft, spicy Oud with a touch of plum. I thought at first I could pick up leather. This Oud is smooth and you aren’t going to get the barn yard vibe. I’ve gone back and forth, several times, wondering if I loved or hated it, sometimes that just happens. Right now it is love!

I really don’t understand how people can consider this perfume adaquate for spring and summer. To my nose, this perfume is most appropriate for fall and winter. The oud is very prominent on my skin, especially in the opening. After a while, it becomes more creamy and sweet. If you love oud, fruits and vanilla, you will love this. If you are not an oud fan, I would pass on this one.

Nutmeg, bayleaf and orange playing in the opening notes, so nice, and then a bit of plum joins in. In the back I can smell the oud, shy at first, and then joining to play with the other notes, never overpowering them. A very nice, easy oud. Unisex and slightly masculine leaning, good sillage in the first hour or so. Good longevity too.

Love this. It’s a great softer oud- no barnyard or funk here. I love its pairing with plum, vanilla, and the spices that come through without being overly spicy. The bay leaf and orange in the opening also make this an unusual and intriguing scent. One of my go to scents for Fall.

Delice is a light fruity scent for warm weather day and night. It feels unisex but it leans slightly to feminine scents imo. Sillage and projection are moderate, longevity is above the average. Dominant notes are well balanced cinnamon and plum, vanilla, sweet orange, faint but noticeable rose, mild nutmeg and bay leaf. I don't get oud. Not even traces. This is not a new smell for me. If you are into orientals you've already smelled Delice.

It reminds me of Sensual as it seems fresh-herbal in the opening together with smoky feel of Gourmet. After a while it smells of apple pie with bay leaves. Aromatic and totally unisex if not male leaning. Nutmeg is the strongest and has oudy roots. Plums with cinnamon are bay leaf tinged. Somewhere in the heart soft pale pink rose petals lurk. Orange adds a couple of notes. Mainly it is a smoky aromatic with fruity soul. My least favourite of the lot after Gourmet. My rank currently: Spiritual Passion Glamour Sensual Delice Gourmet It lasts till next morning with subtle spicy shimmer.

DELICE is for oud lovers! This one has a very strong gasoline-y, funky oud smell on my skin. It does have a mild sweetness but I can't get over the potent oud which overpowered everything else. To be fair I am not a big fan of oud, and this one is all oud on me. I do detect a little nutmeg and nil of the vanilla. Unfortunately I had to scrub it off and I will not be able to wait for the 30 minute mark when it might turn delicious and delightful.

One spritz on one wrist and that oud proceeded to choke me out. But then there's a plot twist: that lasted all of 1 hour and started to fade into a more feminine, light oud. Quite pleasant to be honest, but I can barely smell it. All in all, a full 4-5 hour experience before it faded to nothingness.

I was expecting a deep, warm and spicy fall/winter scent. However, Delice opened with notes of mosquito repellent quickly followed by an obnoxiously tenacious Oud, which overpowers all else. Delice is one of the Secrets of Love that won't be kept by me.

I couldn’t get beyond the first ten minutes of this one unfortunately. The strong, brashly synthetic plum and rose smelled exactly like cheap laundry detergent and gave me a headache almost immediately. I wish I hadn’t sprayed it straight on my skin as it’s very persistent. Good news for people who love this one I guess!

This vagabondage begins into a territory called spice. December 25th is definitely inside this bottle. Nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla etc. All things that should make anyone smile right? Wrong!! This bondage not vagabondage but bondage is governed by some extreme syntheticness. Ersatz cinnamon is sprinkled onto some unmoistened plum which i found to be a screechy mess. Quality wise, this is starting off bad. It's starting to feel like this was FTC'd(For The Check)..Some red-pink stuff is in the atmosphere(I guess this is supposed to be the rose). If you've been spoiled by elite perfumery, you will not like this. Again...IF you been spoiled by elite perfumery, you will not like this. There's good smells and then there's good perfumery. At best, this is nothing more than a favorable smell. What i expected to be a fragrance odyssey end up just being plain ole odd. In some ways, this feels like the Bay leaf versus the world of the orient. I say that because the leafy ingredient is the only note representing the fresh spicy side. Delice is thin, bone-dry and lacks some much needed voluptuousness. Neighboring noses will likely not care about the quality. This is nothing short of an odor masker. When the Glade Apple Cinnamon runs low, buy this!!! Maybe I've been spoiled by the other Jean-Claude..Jean Claude Ellena.

When I first sprayed it, my immediate thought was: this smells edible! It opens with juicy orange and warm nutmeg, then settles into cozy cinnamon, plum, and creamy vanilla with a soft smoky oud base. It’s sweet, but not sugary — more luxe and comforting, like a fancy treat on a chilly day. If you’ve ever wanted to smell like a warm spiced dessert served in a velvet-lined lounge, this is it. It’s rich, sweet, cozy — but with a little bit of mystery. Not your typical cupcake scent, more like the bougie dessert at the end of a five-course meal. Totally versatile — think fall/winter evenings, or just everyday evening/date nights or in an environment with controlled temperature. I'd say this is a scent for anyone who wants to smell delicious and confident without leaning too masculine or feminine. Do not blind buy as I'd say this is not everyone's cup of tea. Personally, this a beautiful but complex perfume so definitely try it first before committing to a full bottle.

Ok so this is my story that led me to this perfume: two years ago I got into niche and was introduced to the house of Widian, specifically their beautiful creation called Delma. I wore Delma for two weeks and adored and was about to buy a full bottle (from Osme in Miami) and suddenly realized it's turning too masculine on me. Long behold this week I was longing for something like Delma (I imagined myself in a black dress in Paris living life) but something that stays feminine. Well, I made a visit to the store again this weekend and was introduced to Delice and let me tell you; this is Delma but more feminine! I'm already planning when to get a full bottle. It's dress up go out in the Fall and Winter at night in an amazing outfit type scent to me. The spice of it and how blended it is give it an upscale charm.

Sumptuous, joyful, sunny scent! Orange, black rose & spices (cardamon, saffron, cinnamon) that's those what i feel in the first place. Further to me appears a prune; incredibly beautiful, volumetric and vibrant prune! Then a little smoky dried fruits and nutmeg. Smells of fresh pastries still warm, it's like i just took a plum pie out of the oven that i made from a magazine recipe. Also i hear oregano tea in it. The fragrance motivates on new achievements (in the own kitchen in the cloudy winter season can find the time and, for example, bake something special for yourself and your close :)

This is a very pleasant, fresh fruity oud. It has a prominent orange and plum note, but the drydown is mostly a spicy woody scent, with fresh notes. The vanilla is not really perceptible. The Oud is inky and inoffensive. I like it, it's a pleasant, clean and unisex scent. That bottle is really beautiful. I just have a sample, not sure i will get the full bottle yet...maybe in the future.

not nearly as sweet as some may anticipate. I swear this had a plum note and that’s why i bought it. Seems to be removed now. It almost just smells like leather and saffron to be honest. I guess you could say there’s some citrus but this certainly isn’t something unique

wish i could find this in-store to smell it as i dont like blind buying fragrances

Love this scent for cold weather. It’s complex and beautiful to me.
