I'm surprised nobody mentioned Chanel Allure Home Edition Blanche. This has a strong resemblance, but: EB is lemon, lemon zest kind of a vibe and this while it has lots of lemon, is more general yellow-citrusy like. Inbetween the top and base there's also LOTS of corriander making the citrus notes way sharper and way more aromatic, fresh, and strong. Under the lemon and corriander there's also some white flowers. In the base allure is creamy and smooth, while this is moussy light smooth. It smells of lactonic shaving cream (I know this doesn't sound appetizing, but it is :D). This is an absolute unisex, great for daytime sunny weather. Not office safe, this corriander sharpness may put some people off. The thing is I think it's not worth the price. If you can find it around the Allure's price than go for it, but it's absolutely not worth the retail price they ask for. Not for me at least. Consider this an upgrade of allure if you want the creamy smoothness way fluffier (cloud-like, whipped cream) and citrus charger, stronger. Also, this has the performance of Allure, so, yeah, not more than 5 hours on my skin with the very moderate drydown 2h after application.

Green, fresh, sweet, calming and seductive. I was invited to the houses’ 25th online birthday event, and we were sent luxury decants, and this was one of them. I am in love with the green coriander note in combination with sweet patchouli.⁠ It was composed previrus but very suitable to our times. Green is making a comeback, for example Aura and Luxe Calme Volupte, Papillons Spell 125 and FM Synthetic Jungle. This isn’t purely green though, it’s also quite sweet, citrus and has clear patchouli, like a sweeter chypre. Florals are supporting. Milk mousse is there but it isn’t creamy or nauseating, it adds a full sweetness. It’s nothing like gris dior, which is a rose-oakmoss-patchouli without much sweetness. I actually think this is very suitable for first dates, where you want to come across seductive, elegant, modern and sexy but don’t wanna smack the guy in his face with a big gourmand. To me it has a flirtyness that is also present in the Miss Diors and even Viva la Juicy. It lasts the whole day, but mid day the sillage changes from moderate to intimate. No synthetic base.

This fragrance is proof of the fact that everyone smells what they want to smell. Like somebody before me said, the word mousse also means moss in french, which makes way more sense in this context. To me this isn‘t lactonic. Sure it smells creamy, but that‘s just the vanilla imo. Maison Micallef wanted to invoke the feeling of a waterfall which they did quite well. It‘s not an aquatic though. It‘s a musky fragrance with a citrus opening on a base of green notes and vanilla. Smells almost slightly tropical. To me this is a greener, more unisex allure homme sport. More female in the opening and more male in the drydown. I enjoy wearing it over some Iso-E Super to make it more masculine. Reactions have been good and the performance is actually really good for a summer fragrance. Love the design of the bottle. Atomizer is great, but the cap seems to loosen quickly. I love everything about Eden Falls! It’s such an intense, rich, aromatic and floral spicy scent but with a creamy side. It’s mostly coriander, pink pepper, patchouli and moss but with a creamy, white floral/vanilla base in the background, especially after the first few minutes. If you’re not into patchouli, I would suggest staying away from Eden Falls, on my skin patchouli is super strong, which I happen to adore. I wouldn’t say I get citrus per se, but it has a juicy fruitiness, a bit sharp and peel like, that might be due to the tangerines. Vague fruitiness for sure... I see that other reviewers voted Eden Falls similar to quite a few of fragrances from various brands, but I don’t own any of them, so to my collection, Eden Falls would not be redundant. I am certainly interested to purchase a bottle of this as soon as I can find one decently priced. It’s a glorious spicy patchouli bomb on me and makes my soul happy smelling it! Big love!!!

My new office fave. Vanilla with a swirl of citrus on a bed of cream. Just a subtle touch of spices and amber. This is somewhat in the Habit Rouge family (L’Eau in particular) but a bit more posh. And like a Guerlain it has that subtle French touch - don’t expect it to scream or last forever but it wouldn’t smell this good if it did. I get a good half-day with moderate projection and a lovely drydown for the rest of the day. Full disclosure - I found this discounted in the 30ml. The smaller bottle’s a perfect sweet spot for me (in any fragrance). If I blind bought it at full price/size maybe I’d feel different ...
