Emir

The characteristic that separates Emir from other Oudy fragrances is not its Oud but the orange/grapefruit combo that evokes a sweet marmalade jam-like opening. The oud quickly follows giving off a runny sweet syrupy oud quality. The patchouli and the rest of the notes gently counteract the sweetness and make the fragrance more rounded by giving it a body and more texture. I wish that tobacco could've been added though. The performance is moderate-to-heavy. Overall, a very pleasurable experience in its uniqueness. 8.5/10, Highly recommended

EMIR opens with tangy notes of pomelo and orange, supported by geranium, spiced up with pepper. Then, the fragrance begins to reveal its potency, rich in patchouli, cedar and musk, its background is expressed above all in the opulent scent of aoud. This fragrance radiates masculinity and it is part of the Exclusive collection, whose bottles are hand-decorated with Swarovski crystals. To me, this masterpiece is like a beautiful blending of two of my favorite fragrances which are Royal Oud by Creed and Terre d'Hermes by Hermes.

I'm a little confused why people talking about the price? I think I paid like 235 for a 100ml bottle. Making it one of the cheapest I own, especially an oud guy. This is an amazing edp imo. I love the oud and woods and spices. It does ride close to the skin, but not that close that i would not buy it at this price point. I just spray an extra spray and then it projects just fine. Love the bottle and the juice. Considering other niche houses charging this or more for a 50 ml so. Just try it, if you hate it @me

As a point of interest, this is not airy or wispy in any way, this is a heavy perfume-y like fragrance where it could be too much for others in close quarters or if you’re looking for more subtlety. As far as the scent goes, feels like an amped up and cheaper version of M7 (which i love), plus a strong honey note. I am personally back and forth on how much I like it. Had a sample and liked it enough that I used it all and bought a bottle, but just don’t really reach for it now.

Wonderful fragrance, my new favorite from Micallef. In the same trend of smooth and very likeable unisex western ouds, from Royal Oud (Creed), AdP Colonia Oud and MFK Oud. On paper it reminded me of a juicy spicy, like Spicy for Him. On skin however, the fresh parts (citrus) and spices are gentled by the oud and flowers and the rich patchouli. Everything blends into a beautiful aroma and drydown. Strong and longlasting. Gorgeous bottle also! 9/10

Got a sample from luckyscent. Tried it before heading to the downtown today. It was a bit cold and I took a bus. My first reaction when I sniffed this scent, unique,dark bold, upscale and masculine. It`s woody, smokey with a hint of leather touch to it which makes the whole composition so alluring. A bit linear for my liking but still gorgeous and head turner. Definitely works well in fall/winter. Longevity 8+ sillage huge

My favorite perfume from this wonderful french house - M.Micallef. I bought it directly via internet from M.Micallef for 78 euros. Besides they put my name on the back side of the bottle. Smells great, stays close to the skin. Would not buy it again, cause I just do not like to repeat the perfumes. Next one might be Desir Toxic - another great perfume. ....I bought a second Emir 😍 2 years after the first purchase.

A gorgeous Oriental chypre that evokes the flavors of the Middle East. The perfume opens with brief citrus notes and moves to a heart of pepper, geranium and sage. The perfume settles on a bed of oud, patchouli, musk and cedar. The sensual masculine leaning long lasting perfume has strong sillage and projection and is suited for bold personalities. Enjoy!

Beautiful fragrance, lots of depth, great fusion of east meets west, sadly discontinued. Kilian’s Musk Oud features a similar beautiful geranium oud accord, but that one is missing Emir’s wonderful first half hour where the citruses give it wonderful pop.

What an incredible blend. I don't even know how to describe this scent, it's warm, it's sensual, it's spicy,...Compliment galore, I even felt like being disturbed by the people kept asking me what was i wearing.

This is a mixture between oud and geranium over a honey-sweet background. I see It as a masculine versión of soir de lune by sisley. AN i crazy? Good performance but not very versatile. Very good quality!

This one was added here already but under G Nejman Micallef duh! I think it is very unusual and mysterious. Cant really smell oud in there more of pepper and orange. 10/10

This is an incredible fragrance! Warm, spicy, sexy and defintely different from other fragrances. Longevity is very long lasting and sillage huge! i love it!

It's a great scent, but doesn't last

Emir has an oriental vibe but overall is safe and quite westernized. A fresh oud scent for warm weather, just beautiful! The oud is completely safe and feels woody. The combination of westernized woody oud & geranium creates a cooling and refreshing effect same as in Meydan by The Spirit of Dubai house. Very smart. The white pepper adds a beautiful aroma. The blend feels mild spicy, it's very friendly to the nose. Oud, geranium and white pepper are the dominant notes. There's also faint grapefruit, mild cedar and well ballanced earthy patchouli. As time passes comes to the surface an orange which has only aroma. Zero sourness, zero sweetness. This is not a complex scent but simple, fresh-woody, versatile, manly scent with an oriental touch. Performance is above the average but it's not a strong oriental scent. Projection could be much better. Overall it's a decent scent. It reminds me Al-Rehab Sultan Shaik Chic Shaik No 70 which have much better projection. EDIT I bought it today. If you like Le Seducteur by G. Nejman which I looove, you'll probably like Emir. Or if you miss the Emir by G.Nejman, this is almost identical. It feels like a summery edition of Le Seducteur -which is very heavy scent- with the addition of citrusy notes. It carries about 40% the DNA of Le Seducteur. Think about BdC edp and edc versions. It feels the same between Le Seducteur by G. Nejman and Emir by Micallef.

Just got this as a blind buy. A little disappointed with the opening. I love the sweet oud running throughout the whole time you wear it. Don't like that for the first half hour or so the scent is a throwback to 80's type frags, kinda like something Ted Lapidus would make. Oh, but after that half hour or so when it evolves past the tart geranium, wow! Utter bliss! Get past the retro smell in the beginning and then it's 10 out of 10! And so long lasting! What a beast! 12 hours and counting! Sillage only drops after the 8th hour mark but not flat. It cruises down softly on a bell curve. Amazing frag, recommend to all lovers of oud and sexy, seductive scents!

Opens immediately with oud notes and sharp spices, with a hint of citrus. Then soft, sweeter floral notes appear. The oud is soft and gorgeous, blending nicely with the oakmoss creating a soft, mushy base for the sharper smoky notes. The drydown is a base of oakmoss and cedar. The oud notes continue to change, sometimes soft and sometimes sharp. Musk comes in last--very subtly and a bit masculine. Sillage is moderate, longevity moderate. What a gorgeous oud! Usually oud scents are too sharp or metallic smelling for me, but this oud is great. It lasts long, too. It is a dark scent, very bold and a bit masculine-- can definitely be worn by women though.

Emir of burnt plastic. This does indeed have a burnt plastic feel to it at the opening. It doesn't make it bad. The burnt plastic subsides in a while and what stays is smooth honeyd woods and oud with some hint of citrus fruits from the opening. Longevity is okey but projection and sillage leaves a lot to be desired from an Eau de Parfum fragrance from an esteemed fragrance house such as M. Micallef. Scent profile though(once you get pass that inherent burnt plastic vibe) is mysterious and sophisticated. Really liking this.
