M. Micallef

It's quite OK, but too vintage for me. Try before purchase.

M. Micallef opens quite strong, the spices are very prominent. The patchouli follows together with a bit of white florals. The spices diminish in strength. Lastly, the rose wakes up. The drydown is a soft floral with a hint of rose on a light patchouli base. Sillage is moderate, longevity long lasting. The opening is wonderful and spicy, quite dark. I enjoyed it very much. The scent then tones down into something bland on my skin. White florals and a hint of rose, but nothing too distinct. The same happens to me with Cartier La Panthere EdP, it just fades away into a mishmash of soft florals. Must be something with my chemistry.

Oh, I love this new scent of M Micallef. Deep, strong, chyprey, a bit sweet, memorable. This makes You feel strong. If You need some feel of getting Your feets to ground, this scent will help You and those will stay on ground very strongly. You won`t feel faint or dizy but only strenghten and strong. This scent need a personality from a its carrier as well the carrier needs this scent. Reminds me a bit of Jewel, but I think this is a bit more advanced. Jewel I did not want a bottle, but this one I had to have from first sniff. Will be one of my favourite for coming Autumn.

This fragrance is incorrectly titled here and its proper name is The Jewel of M Micallef. A totally under appreciated gem which I truly believe had it been launched by Amouage the reception would have been akin to Lyric or Ubar! It is not for those who love fruity florals and candied bombs but for anyone who understands a complex fragrance and can carry off that vintage vibe, The Jewel is for you!

Beautiful and complicated scent. Really vintage, really like mens cologne from 70ties / 80ties. Something herbal and something flovery in old fashioned way there shines. Had a sample, i recommend to try on sample before buying it.
