Note Vanillée Nectar

Note Vanillée Nectar comes with a small information card inside the packaging explaining that, because natural Bourbon vanilla is used, the color of the fragrance may deepen over time and can even develop a faint purplish tone. This is considered normal and does not affect the scent. The note is important because it signals that the formula relies on natural vanilla rather than stabilized synthetic vanilla, allowing the material to evolve gradually. Turning to the scent itself, the fragrance does not present the typical, easily recognizable “vanilla” profile. On skin, the opening shows a soft sweetness with a slight fruity brightness, but that brightness is short-lived and soon gives way to a warm alcoholic tone. The rum and cognac facets are quite clear, and the texture is smooth, without sharpness or bite. It feels closer to a warm sweet liqueur than to a strong spirit. The vanilla seems dissolved into the liquid, becoming part of the overall sweetness rather than standing out as a distinct note. As time passes, the scent grows denser and settles closer to the skin. The most noticeable quality at this stage is a gentle warmth with a faint creamy and lightly powdery texture, yet the composition remains clean and controlled, without any heavy powder buildup. If florals are present, they function only as subtle accents rather than a central theme. The overall impression of the middle phase can be summarized as stability. In the drydown, the alcoholic tone recedes, leaving a soft sweetness over a smooth woody base. Amber and sandalwood bring calmness and persistence. The sweetness remains balanced—neither sticky nor dry. It feels like a sustained warmth rather than a fragrance driven by dramatic transitions. One common misunderstanding comes from the name, which emphasizes vanilla. In practice, vanilla does not appear as the main character. It acts more as a background tone, wrapped by the boozy warmth, amber, and woods. Anyone expecting a clear, dessert-like vanilla may find it less straightforward. Viewed from another angle, the fragrance reads more as a warm, gently boozy composition, with vanilla providing body and softness to the structure. Longevity is strong, and it is particularly well suited to autumn and winter.

Big boozy vanilla that lasts, lasts, and lasts. On my skin I can smell the citruses in the opening notes, but I really can't smell the jasmine. It almost goes straight to the base notes, VANILLA, rum, cognac, sandalwood... mmm delicious. Very well done, great sillage, amazing smell. This is good for cooler weather and evenings.

I love this one so much! Interesting vanilla in a luxorious way. I find it hard to describe... A bit old money vibe without being outdated. Perfect vanilla for special occassions. Sweet but at the same time not. Not cloying at all and not gourmand. Holy grail for me.

To me this is exactly the same as the original with added sweetness but in the air there’s no difference. If you have one you don’t need the other unless that’s what you want.

Wow this is so beautiful and timeless. It smells a tad bit old lady like to me but I dont care because old ladies smell great.

Grown-up scent. Very elegant. Soft and calm but enveloping. The vanilla is gentle here, tangled with rum for an interesting woody facet. But the scent is amber dominated on me. A very light amber and soft like a cloud, but slightly resinous and fluffy here. I feel also jasmine and the faintest citrusy notes. I think it is universal weather-wise, but just perfect for autumn and winter day and night. It projects a gentle bubble but close to the skin. Very elegant. This is not a scent for juvenile searching for a sweet candy. It is medium to low in sweetness. The bottle is beautiful and artisanal. I am glad to have it in my collection. It is a parfum concentration and as such it projects on heated skin when I went to bed 12+ hours after application. And a gorgeous scent - ambery with forest touches, creamy-woody a perfect sandalwood and jasmine plus fruity notes. So so good. It is a quiet luxury but for a serious person so worth it.

Note Vanillee nectar balances the fine lines between a fruity, gourmand and floral. Following a brief citrusy opening, the fragrance is immediately vanillic and floral. It is very reminiscent of Fancy by Jessica Simpson but Note vanillee Nectar is deeper, richer and more mature. There is something “classic” about this, although I wouldn’t call it vintage smelling. The boozy notes are not very prominent to my nose. Having compared note vanillee (the original version) to the nectar version, the major difference seems to the the strength and lasting power. The original is lighter while the nectar is more gourmand/sweet. The nectar version has more vanilla- and it is my preferred iteration. However in the air, I doubt the differences will be perceivable. If you have one, you don’t need the other.

This is a lovely, everyday friendly boozy vanilla. I could see this becoming a signature scent for some, which might seem odd, but it doesn’t come across as heavy or overdone. It’s a really well balanced but intriguing vanilla. I don’t have the original but it’s now on my wish list because I enjoy this one so much. Much like most nectar/intense versions, it sits closer to the skin but the scent is still very rich and inviting. I do recommend if you can get your nose on it, lovely. I would have given it a 5 if the longevity was just a bit better but the scent is lovely.

I loved my decant of the original so I decided to blind buy the nectar. The difference is very slight almost unnoticeable. The original is an elegant, powdery, & light vanilla that can be worn year round. This smells almost identical but is just a tad bit sweeter. It can be worn year round as well. They both sit close to the skin but the nectar version lasts longer. It’s redundant to own both, but slightly different enough to have a preference.

I really like this fragrance, it’s sweet, opulent and boozy, yet also clean, feminine and well put together. It’s not a cookie-vanilla it’s very perfumey and special. A bit of a vintage vibe, but not too powdery.

I've had my bottle for more than six months now and I've tried it at least ten times, but I can't get along with it. I love vanilla fragrances and was looking for a boozy vanilla for nighttime. Note Vanille Nectar is a boozy fragrance, no doubt, but it also has a weird, dated soapy note that just doesn't go with the rest of the notes, and unfortunately it's the most prominent note. I can't detect any vanilla at all, and the main reason I bought it was the vanilla. Overall, it has a vintage vibe to it and makes me think of an old (but expensive) hotel, dark and heavy curtains with a gold pattern and rich ladies with fur coats. It's not disgusting by any means, it's just not the vibe I was looking for. 5/10.

This smells sparkly in the opening, fruity in the middle and nice warm vanilla im the base but until then its a skinscent. Its not a bad perfume tough i think you can get designer frag thats simmilar at much smaller price. And i get no simmilarity to Note vanille. Singh, not the vanilla I was looking for.

I got a sample of this when I purchased Ylang in Gold. Ylang in Gold is an absolute delight, but Note Vanille Nectar is not. There's something that feels very musty and beeswaxy on my skin. It was an immediate dislike that only grew more strongly as the day went on. Not for me, which is a pity because I do like woody, powdery vanillas but this isn't a clean sort of powdery vanilla. Rather it's dusty books and old candles. As I write that I wonder actually if it may work better for a man? I'm so put off by this though on me that I now no longer have much of a desire to try the flagship Note Vanille.

I don't get vanilla at all.. To me its smells exactly like the vintage soap gum! You know the lavender Thrill soap gums? Well, i'm soo disapointed because the notes and reviews sounds soo good. Finger cross that the vanilla will grow as it sits and mature for a bit.

Holy hell this stuff is expensive! $200+ for a 30ml!?!?! Nah...this is one vanilla that won't be in my collection.

I really like this! I keep waiting for the powder to hit and it doesn't. I'm very happy about that because I HATE powder. I just get sweet rummy vanilla. It's absolutely delicious and I'm delighted to keep smelling it! Vanilla has to be really special for me to want to buy it and I think I just found my Vanilla.

I miss the original release of Note vanillee, im convinced it was reformulated throughout the years. The nectar is superior to the current regular version but it's for one to decide if it's good enough to get. It's sweet rich, dense and only minimally boozy IMO. After trying so many vanilla fragrances, it's tought to find one that truly stands out. IG: eatandsmellgood

Boozy vanilla with some woody undertones, the jasmin note is subdued but perceptible. It is soft but projects well enough. Intimate and cozy scent. Somewhat sexy but a little vintage smelling? I like it.

Anyone for wanting to buy this, this perfume has a horrible atomizer and the juice is super oily. It only ever goes on clothing. Does smell nice tho

Skin scent and do not smell any vanilla. Pretty boring and unimpressive.

Better than the OG. I would use this to layer simpler scents.
