Sensual

This fragrance is absolutely gorgeous and nobody speaks about it! Over the past year I have tried several M Micallef fragrances from the newer, more hyped launches and nothing really impressed me. For some reason, older scents like Glamour and this are my favourite! I am wearing today Sensual, kinda off season for the type of scent and it’s stunning. A strong, citrusy, white floral, green and fresh musk dominant perfume with an impressive longevity and sillage, even in a freezing weather. The vanilla, the galbanum and the sandalwood are just perfect together alongside the rest of the notes. It’s a complex, intriguing musky perfume for sure! For anyone wondering if this worth purchasing, I would say yes. It’s unique enough without being unwearable and performs impressively well. In my opinion, this is better than many super hyped musky fragrances currently on social media. And the bottle is a piece of art, literally! And I think that it deserves a higher rating here, this smells refined and expensive. A 3.64 at the time of writing this is unfair for how beautiful the scent is.

I honestly don’t understand why it’s rated so low. It’s such an underrated fragrance. It’s absolutely beautiful, elegant and has something really captivating about it. Out of all the Micallef perfumes I’ve tried, this one is by far my favorite. It just works perfectly for me - I love it 🩶🩶🩶

Very good fragrance- Vanalic Musk. Great for any weather. Perfect for formal settings as it is not too loud and is very smooth. Good for casual wear as well. Highly underrated.

I've tried many oriental scents all those years. Sensual feels more oriental than the rest creations of this house and the smell is identical with another oriental scent, I can't remember the name. This is not original and I'm sure. It feels unisex but it leans slightly to feminine scents. It's not masculine by any means for the western standards and it's completely different from the vintage fahrenheit which was my signature as the previous reviewer says. The opening is quite pungent and thick, quite nauseating for my nose but quickly settles down and becomes softer-moderate. Always the strong galbanum mixed with strong sweet notes brings me nausea. Sensual is all about vanilla, white florals, musk and a little citrus with some mild sandalwood. It's not a gourmand. As time passes it feels semi-fresh fruity with dominant notes of orange blossom, very mild jasmine, mild sandalwood, strong musk, strong vanilla. The galbanum fades out. I can feel it only at the opening. Performance is moderate overall.

A warm, dry, powdery almost smoky rose with a bit of spice and the base feels woody and grounding, with the same fuzzy musk as in Hypnotic Musk. M. Micallef website lists lemon and nutmeg as additional notes. The lemon gives it a little uplift. It is very nice but does remind me of several other fragrances all at once! (Midnight Mischief or is it Magic Hour, I can't remember, the rose of LPRN and some others in a fleeting fashion. Unisex for sure but I think it may smell especially good on men. I only have a sample so haven't sprayed it with gay abandon but it does seem to project and last a decent length of time certainly not weak by any means. I agree with the review below. It is quite captivating but not especially unique.

The metal caged 75ml bottle has the following structure Top notes: Nutmeg, Tarragon, Lemon, Mandarin Heart notes: violet Base notes: Leather, Musk, Patchouli And the top notes are the strongest giving it a peculiar, refreshing herbal scent. I feel especially nutmeg, tarragon and lemon. This phase does not strike me as sensual but the scent changes a lot during wear. In a way the opening reminds me of Chanel N°19 but much more intense as they share herbal and slightly bitter edge. I even thought galbanum is present in Micallef. With time the base becomes more pronounced and it sweetens.

A linear scent, quality vanilla tinged with florals, citrus and musk opens strong but within 10 minutes it mellows into an easy to wear vanilla oriental. Sandalwood is mixed in lightly. After a few hours I become nose blind —as with many other perfumes I own. Sensual by M. Micallef is a like, not a love. If I had to isolate why, I would say that it doesn’t feel unique to me, and I can’t help but feel the composition is missing something, another note or two that would elevate Sensual to unexpected.

This one feels like having a fizzy drink in the summer heat, coupled with something gorgeous that I can't name. Unlike others, I don't feel it's masculine, but I do find something almost oudy in the drydown. The thing that makes it really good is a certain sunny but also airy quality. Definitely a major like - maybe even love, but we'll see.

Strong, warm, sweet, citrusy and woody. It seems geared to active, purposeful and self-confident persons. It definitely leans masculine. After half an hour it envelops with a thick sandalwood cloud, mixed with a beautiful and cozy hint of vanilla and musk. Sensual is a love from the first sniff for me.

I'm wondering if I have been sent a sample of Hypnotic Musk in place of Sensual. As I distinctly pick up on a tart lychee in the opening. It is a very pleasant creamy, fruity and feminine fragrance.

Well, I ordered a travel size and it was kind of meh on first sniff. Not enough personality. But realizing it was a bit fresh and woodsy, I decided to spray it on myself after a shower after applying a very small amount of Dior’s Gris Dior body cream. Nope. Just nope. For the first ten minutes it was lovely, comforting, woodsy. The combo made it a powerhouse. But following those ten mins, not in a good way. It started to become so cloying and dry smelling I had to apply some vanilla 28. It helped. But I am just going to heavily second guess myself next time I want to pull it out thinking it’s fresh. It’s a VERY dry fresh.

i have no idea why i can only smell tobacco in this. It's masculine, reminds me of my dad. I might try to wear this later. But after an hour testing 1 spray on my wrist, i still can smell tobacco. nothing else.

Quite masculine with a heavy dose of galbanum, which give it a sourness that I do not find sensual at all.

First i want to mention that this is not feminine at all. It is masculine, but a women can still wear it. The scent reminds me a lot of vintage Fahrenheit. Unlike the CD, sensual is more intimate scent. No leather/ smoke in the mix, but theres that feel in there. Sensual opens with a spicy musk note, with orange blossom and hints of jasmine, with heavy spicy citrus top. After a bit the sandalwood begins to make its way forward and the fragrance begins to take a more balsamic character. The drydown is a nice blend of vanilla and florals, but the vanilla is not gourmand. The citrus remains through the majority of the fragrance but becomes less and less spicy as the sandalwood takes its path forward making the composition creamier and a touch smokey. I highly recommend

A superb blend of galbanum and orange blossoms with an elegant combination of nutmeg and vanilla. The opening is indeed feminine leaning, but as it settles down the nutmeg and sandalwood rise from the base moving the scent towards a more masculine direction. With that being said, women could still wear this is one. All in all, a classy, clean, and creamy composition best suited for spring and maybe even summer.

Mmm sensual indeed! A nice clean break from my hundreds of dark ambers and spicy samples. Still very oriental, warm vanilla, soft musk, florals and citrus. A great, evocative combination of notes. I think I got this as a bonus sample, but I'm very pleased with this one! Drydown smells powerful, masculnine, musky almost oudy. Second testing: notice an herbal alcohol opening. Not unlike juniper in gin.

A deep, seductive rose wrapped in warm spices and soft musk. It opens rich and slightly spicy before the rose takes centre stage, feeling velvety rather than fresh. As it dries down, the musk smooths everything out giving it a skin like warmth. IG/Tiktok: @wilddew_vibes
